so I decided I should actually try out this tutorial ... I have read it a dozen and one times but I've never done it lol and maybe it wasn't such a good idea to use a person made of metal as my first attempt...it also probably wasn't a great idea to use the spicy curry brush to try and get a smooth finish

next time I draw a person I will make sure I've drawn the facial features on in accordance with actual human anatomy :|

I love that kind of texture! :] Does the tutorial tell you how to get that effect or is it something you did on your own? [Sorry, don't know too much about art XD] I love the eyes. :] Makes me feel mesmerized. XD

It was sort of an accident lol I basically did everything she said to do and then I tried to smooth it all out, I tried everything from the blur to the smudge tool and big round airbrushes

If you google spicy curry tutorial or brush I think it should come up with a manga revolution tutorial that has a brush you can download...I think that's where most of my texture came from. actually never mind I have no idea where I got that brush... how odd

The eyes took me a little while because my avatar doesn't have eyes with her robot-ness and as a vampire her eyes are gray so I just picked one of my favourite colours I'm glad you like it ^-^

thank you ^-^

so I downloaded gimp to try and help someone and I drew this :

I couldn't finish it because gimp likes to try and kill my computer by shutting off my monitor/turning it back on while I'm drawing and then locking up my tablet :\ I don't care how expensive photoshop or how "complicated" is and how free gimp is...photoshop wins for me every single time. [this picture by they way is supposed to be 5x6 inches...or so gimp said.]

It is that size if you print it out. Sizing on computers is a funny thing. I always work in pixels so I know for sure how big it will be on the screen.

What operating system are you working on? I might be able to help with the crashing.

You've got some tight stuff happening on that eye. Did you draw it that way, or is there a filter on it?

I find gimp weird and confusing so I'll just stick with photoshop *hugs bratty photoshop* lol I drew both the eyes no filters :D the second one I used the eraser.

Yeah, the second one's got a feel to it that a gimp filter gives. I think it's photocopy that does it. Rad. Hope you don't mind if I borrow your technique and mess with it a little.

Not program, operating system. Windows? If you're on Windows, which version?

I'm pretty sure I have windows XP :\ I downloaded gimp last year and then deleted it because it was terribly obnoxious and photoshop is easier for me to understand.

I don't mind, after all I learned everything I have from tutorials and trial/error lol

I tried tutorials..but they didn't really work for me, so eventually I just ended up doing my own thing.. and it takes me forever..

Wow, that most recent one is amazing!
I love the boarder you put around it, kinda makes it look like it's an old stamp, verrrry cool.

With the first piece, I really love how you colored the hair! It's really nicely done!
