I thought about the bonnet... :' But we don't have a cap that really fits the theme that I actually like. XD Nothing said against the pixelists, as they do a great job. XD; I guess I'm just really picky about hats on my avatar. XD
It is exciting, though. :3 I always love contests that have clearly defined guidelines and then seeing how the contestants interpret those guidelines to create something. :3
That's why I love Project Runway so much, and in lesser amounts The Apprentice (guidelines re: "you will run a ___ project") and American Idol (re: music genre) and America's Next Top Model (re: themed shoots) and any of those chef-related reality shows. It's always in the interpretation of the task's guidelines that makes for the excitement. :3 But Project Runway does do it best. :3
And I don't think that's loserdom, though. ;3 If you assigned each contestant of Project Mene with a nickname based on Project Runway contestants... then we could talk. XD

Aww, yeah, I know.
You should push them to do some bonnets. ;D
Lol, joking. xD It'd be nice, but I'm not sure if everyone would like bonnets.
I'm picky about hats too. xD Especially with this short hairstyle.
I have to agree, I love the project shows. I'm not interested much in cooking, but I still love the cooking shows like Top Chef. The problem is since it's not a taste-o-vision, you have to rely on the judges whereas shows like Project Mene are fashion-based and are meant only to clothe [and sometimes not :O] a model in a way that is pleasing to the eye.
PR is best! I like how most of the time, it's not all drama like some other shows, but has a light-hearted appeal. And the people are awesome too. Santino [season 2] still reigns first in my heart, but Christian is a close second. :] And who doesn't love Tim Gunn?
Hahaha. xD
I can kind of do that in my mind. :D

Hmm... Bonnets. :' I wonder how they'd do with frilly, lacy mob-caps... :'
Yeah - that's the draw-back about the cooking shows... I can tell you straight-away whether something looks appetizing based on presentation, or 'sounds' appetizing based on the ingredients list, but they could tell me all day that something is 'too sweet' and I couldn't be sure if there was any sort of sweetener in the dish at all. >:' And I do think people have got rid of contestants they simply didn't like that way - because... how would we know?
But, yes. :3 Project Runway drama is far more interesting. The producers don't seem to do as much nudging and shoving to make contestants angry at each other, the way I know happens on some other reality tv shows. I stopped watching America's Next Top Model seasons ago because it became 90% about the drama and only 10% about modeling. :/ Maybe they fixed it since. I wouldn't know. >_<;
I enjoyed Santino... I can't say I 'liked' him because those times I genuinely liked him sometimes became few and far between towards the end of the season. I think his designs were interesting, at least. He never made anything boring, which I appreciated. XD
I haven't seen the latest season, sadly. :c I do all my Project Runway watching on DVD since my area refuses to give me Bravo. >_<! And watching episodes in chunks on YouTube drives me nuts. (Though I tried. XD; ) I'm really looking forward to when it comes out on DVD though!
I adore Tim Gunn. I want to wrap him in bubblewrap and cotton and make sure all the bad things in the world never touch him. XD

@winter:
Rawr is right, someone will be eliminated this round.
@CK:
Ooh. Maybe, maybe. :]
Exactly! Who knows if the judges really are conspiring against a certain person. Though if that was the case, I wish Marcel in season 2 of Top Chef would have been eliminated sooner. xD Though I was glad Ilan won because he seemed to have nice ingredients, a nice personality, and he was cute for sure. Haha.
Yeah, I watched a couple episodes of ANTM but I became disinterested because they focused on drama for over half of the show. :/ The challenges did seem a bit interesting though and some pictures intriguing.
Ah, I see. I singled him out early on because he was different from everyone else. And honestly, in fashion, one needs to stand out. But near the end of the competition, he became entertaining. :]
I want to buy season 2 on dvd just for the Tim/Andrae at Red Lobster and musical. xD
I love that picture of the two actually AT Red Lobster. XDD That was great.
Awww. That sucks. I don't have the patience for youtube either so I download torrents when I can't get a show, like the Tudors [gah season 2 Sunday x.x <3] because I don't have showtime, and watch it later on my computer. It does tend to take up about 700-800mb each episode though so unless you have room to spare, I wouldn't recommend downloading.
Hahaha. xD
Oh yes oh yes.
He is so awesome. <3

I loved America's Next Top Model until the focus became 'drama' rather than the original 'business'. I love catfights as much as the next person - but I want it to come organically, not staged or instigated. And if I wanted to watch a show all about catfights, I'd watch something like Big Brother - not a show originally about the modeling business and making art out of costume, make-up, and the model herself. You know a reality tv show has jumped the shark when the focus of the show becomes rushed through to get to the drama. :p
I really loved seeing the modeling photography at the end. There were some seriously inspirational photos that were produced. But now it's all 'that bitch poured beer in my weave'. >;p
I loved Santino's little 'stories'. I loved him the best when he was relaxed like that and just having fun. I think when he started getting all tense and paranoid because of the competition, he gave in to some of the less commendable aspects of his personality. And because of the stress that the contestants were under, he started showing those negative sides of himself more and more frequently. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything, because I honestly don't think he is. But he's a total Type A individual and when they get stressed out, things can get ugly. XD; I wish he'd got the opportunity to show more of the good side of himself that we saw.
One of my really good friends loves Santino, so even when I hated him for some of the things he said/did, I refused to really hate him. XD
XD Do you have a link of the photo of Tim Gunn and Andre at Red Lobster? I googled but nothing that looked right popped up. (Though for some reason the horse with the rainbow hair from Rainbow Brite popped up. XD What??)
I don't really think space is too much of a problem... But before I start trying to download complete episodes again, I think I want to wait until I get my new computer I'm going to buy for myself after I've paid off my credit card. XD Not too many weeks from now, though! Woo! :3

Ah, unfortunately I didn't get to see it before all the drama. I have to agree, Big Brother is a perfect example though. People all locked up together IN ORDER to cause fighting. It's quite disappointing that most shows are focused on the drama instead of the challenges. I'll admit I like a good catfight, but if I wanted to see one, I could watch Flavor of Love. :/
Pouring beer in a girl's weave? XD Gosh, that's what it's come to now?
I never really saw a negative side to Santino, in my opinion. I always liked his character [that was shown on television at least] and I admired his raw talent to think outside the box and not be intimidated. But maybe Type A people don't bug me. xD
http://i31.tinypic.com/fwhycl.jpg
That should work...hopefully.
Rainbow Brite? LMAO. Wow. Some strange things come up on google images [or even web search for that matter] sometimes.
Ah, yep. That's a good idea. :]
And yay for paying off credit cards! ^0^

Eee, be careful when getting anything besides a savings account! I remember when I was young and got my first card... I had saved almost $1500 in pocket money over the years, and as soon as I was able to eftpos stuff rather than having to ask my parents for spending cash, it vanished... still, what do you expect from a genetically predisposed shopaholic teenager? Those were that days... now that I own my own home and have a young daughter, I have to squeeze every dollar until it squeaks!

I'm sure it'll be the same for me as well. Though the only things I spend cash on other than food and necessities nowadays is buying a dvd once in a while. I've got a pretty large collection and am a movie lover. :]
I longed to put off cards and checks as much as I could because my parents and others taught me the problems that arise with invisible money. Now having a job, I figure it's better to stick it in the bank first before coming into my greedy hands to burn a whole in my pocket. A card isn't quite the same as actual money in my own opinion, or at least not at this juncture. But I shall be indeed sure to take heed. ^^

I don't know what it is like where you live, but here EVERYWHERE has eftpos, even tiny little corner delis. It's so easy to just go ahead and use your card, then later when you ring to find out your account balance you might be horribly shocked! I'm turning into such a miserable penny pincher (I miss shopaholic me) that even just shelling out 250 FAKE GOLD for this belt thing on my avvy actually hurt.... I am gonna have to open a shop of sorts here just to get an income!

Hehe, yeah, it's like that here as well. But I'm habitual at checking my balance and being careful to add up totals in my head even before I check out, of course adding in approx 7-10% tax and decide whether or not I should hold off on an object, which happens most of the time in my case. I'll go into a shop and stick tons of things in the basket but later stick them back on the shelves. XD
I used to be horrible at spending egregious amounts, sometimes buying up to $100 worth of luxury items each time I would enter a store [which when thinking about it, is really not that hard to do], and my parents would lecture me a bit, but give me more money the next time I went shopping. And I guess that shopper just slowly died off. I find being a college student one of the most terrible, and financially-bearing experiences of my life. I went from the rich kid in high school to almost dirt poor.
As far as this website, it just takes time and dedication to achieve pixel goals. I have invested in some CIs in the past but I think I'm too greedy to ever sell them. xD Although a shop might do very well, I can't say for certain how many people are willing to pay for art, etc. on this site since I spend little time in the art forums. Hopefully, one would be able to benefit from a substantial revenue though.
edit:
Bedtime. I have to wake up in less than six hours to work for the whole day. Joy.

I was thinking some sort of changing pet, not too expensive so people would buy, and not too complicated so I can fit it in around parenting and university (free time? I know I have some of that somewhere...).. just enough to get myself a couple of decent avatar changes so I can mix and match a bit. See? Penny pinching again... why have four outfits when two can BE four? Anyway, I guess I had better go and start cooking dinner. Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni tonight! (Believe it or not, my five year old daughter would rather have vegetables than anything else. If it wasn't for hours of pain during birth to remind me, I would wonder if she really was my child... I'm a die-hard carnivore!) Talk to you next time I float through (probably later tonight, as I am procrastinating cleaning the bathroom.)

@Donna - XD I think "bitch poured beer in my weave" was from season four... Whichever season it was where Tyra Banks flipped out on a contestant you could tell she had hand-picked to win, but the girl had so many personal problems re: self-worth and all that, that she just started refusing to try something rather than try and fail. XD; "I have never been so disappointed with someone in my life!!!" I think Tyra shouted. Man, that was some drama.
Flavor of Love.... LOL. I wish I could remember to watch tv. Practically the only thing I ever watch anymore is Ghost Hunters. >_>; Same friend who loves Santino loves Flavor of Love. XD You'd get on well or hate each other deeply, I think. XD If you love Robert Plant/Led Zepplin and Saiyuki, I think I will be frightened and amused and then direct you immediately to her blog or something. XD
I'm very Type B with enough Type A qualities (generally in organization skills) that I understand them. But if anyone gets super stressed out, it stresses me out too. XD; I'm not so laid back I can let someone else's stress just bounce off. XD
LOL.... Red Lobster. Nyaww... They're cute and happy. :3 Tim Gunn. <3
@Arkeyla - Hahaha. D: Yeah - I'm a stress-shopper. I can pinch pennies for months, and then when I get uber-stressed out, it's hard for me to avoid going shopping.
Thursday I went stress-shopping and spent about $60 on books. I felt better. :3 Then I decided since I was on that end of town and I never go to that end of town, I'd go on to an art supply store to pick up art supplies for my best friend/Vieko (one of the artists here on Menewsha). I got lost. Twice. I was so stressed out it was a severe struggle for me not to spend over the $14 I did spend. (I bought her some Bristol and two discount sketchbooks for myself.) I eyed a $25 set of colored India inks for forever, though. I've always wanted to try to work with it. ._.;
But that's why I rarely use my cards (debit or credit). If I have to pop out my checkbook, I have to think about it more. XD; The only reason I have a debt at all was because I went to Australia for a month and I have the purchases I made down there to pay off. XD;
Also... LOL. Aww. Your Menewsha shopping habits. XD I understand... there are lots of items I have stared at and wondered if I wanted to spend the gold on just yet. XD; I try to take advantage of the 50% Exchange Shop as much as I can. I just don't have the patience for it. >_>; I'm just lucky I can talk about nothing for quite awhile before I run out of steam. >_>;
As for art shops... I don't hang out there as much as I used to because it always leaves me with the desire to open one myself (and I have a lot of art I need to do before I start selling it). But while your skill level, style, speed, and your 'shopkeeper manner' will determine how successful you are, business does move there. XD And seeing as people have varying amounts of gold to spend on 'extras' such as art, the skill level doesn't necessarily matter as much as speed. (You may not get a lot of gold per piece, for example, but if you've got a quicker turn-about, you'll do well!)

@Arkeyla:
Ah, that's a really good idea actually. :] And I know how you feel about free time. I actually started this competition because I had too MUCH free time. xD
But now I've got work along with college so I'm starting to feel the strain. Especially last week when I'd just come back from vacation [which was more a trip outside the state than any type of rest], and I came back to have to set up an interview, meet with the hiring manager, get hired, read all the packets they gave me, check numerous times on my schedule/when I start at work [in fact, I STILL don't know my official schedule -.- ...it's too disorganized there], and I haven't even gotten to homework and classes. XD
But hopefully everything should settle in a couple weeks.
Hehe, I don't know why, but I loved vegetables when I was growing up...though I also really liked meat too. It just depends on the meat and the vegetables since there's certain kinds of each I don't care for. I don't like chicken, and I don't like lettuce. But I love spinach and broccoli. <3
Hahah I'm such a weirdo. xD
Bye bye! It was nice speaking with you and feel free to come in again. :]
@chica:
Lol, that was an exception since it was vacation...and I've noticed I hardly ever buy you anything any more. o.o
But I seeeen ju. :D
@CK:
Haha, I don't know what season I was watching, but all the drama was just a bit too pathetic for me, not to mention I'm not much into modeling in the first place.
Wowzers. o.o
When IS Ghost Hunters on? I've seen it once or twice and it was interesting but I don't know what time it's on...none the less what channel. xD; I don't tend to pay attention sometimes.
Lol, I don't think I'd hate her since we have a couple common interests. I'm not into Robert Plant or Led Zepplin and I don't even know who Saiyuki is, but I think we may have a few similarities on television shows at least. :]
I haven't even been watching Flavor of Love much this season though, it's starting to get even MORE pathetic [wow, I didn't know it could o.o]. Haha, besides if I want drama, I'd rather wait for the third season of I Love New York.
I'd say I'm the same, mostly Type B with Type A qualities. I'm pretty impatient, and like multi-tasking constantly otherwise I feel awkward. I've been known to have s high level of empathy so I know what you're talking about when you say you're stressed as well as another person you're with. Like when I was working at a cutting table today, measuring and cutting fabric, some customers were either hurrying or perfectionist, or both, but sometimes neither[ and that was nice] so I'd take on their attitude and reflect it towards what I was working on so I might have measured the fabric twice for a perfectionist and cut faster for the impatient ones.
Mhmm. Whoever doesn't love Tim Gunn is either insane or just doesn't know him. :]

Me again! Well, the bathroom is done, and now I am procrastinating doing the final edits on a piece for uni that I have to submit tomorrow morning... oh, and did come up with an idea for a pet too! Did some sketches, so now have to ink them and scan them in to get ready... slow process, but I am fairly hyped up about the idea. I think that if I skip the breeding part but have something else fun in place then I won't end up stressing myself out too much with stuff - growings is about all I think I will be able to fit in (especially if I want to keep posting about the place to earn gold).
I enjoy Top Model as well - I'm not sure how far behind you we are here in Australia - we just had the series where Danielle won. Pity - I liked Joanie better! It's really funny to watch all the bitching and backstabbing - which is probably why I also like movies such as Mean Girls, Bring it On etc. It makes me glad that I left all that sort of stuff behind years ago when I left high school - though it was never to such as an extent as I see on these programs! Remember 'Next Pussycat Doll'? That was hilarious, the comments they made about each other!
Okay, so I have a warped sense of what's funny.
