Are you holding a lottery for an item or for gold. If for an item, I'm assuming you need to already own that item. But if it's for gold, then I wouldn't see a problem with it.

I would like to know if it is okay from a mod, I am sorry but I don't want to get banned because of it.

I would do it for gold.

As long as you don't rip anyone off, I'm pretty sure it would be fine. After all, we have people who are quite good about checking on that...and everyone knows it. Most people are afraid to scam, because the site staff is so involved. So as long as you don't go giving the prize to your mule or anything, I'm pretty sure no one will mind.

It's completely fine to run contests. Art contests are allowed, as are plenty of other types of contests. The only reason I can see that a lotto would be disallowed is the chance that it would be a scam...and around here, the staff is VERY good about that. ;)

If you're going to run something where you're giving away gold. You will need to do it in the charity forum
