Karia smiled and looked through the window. "OMG! Rex is looking at us!"

Rex sighed, "There's a really cute girl in the girls dorm. I've never seen her before."

When Karia yelled Lana gave a slight squeak of surprise and ducked out of the way, hiding herself in the corner of her bed that wasn't visible from the window. Crawling a bit towards the window she peeked her head out just enough to see if Karia was telling the truth. Spotting the guy looking in at them she quickly pulled back from the window, "What do you think he's doing?" she asked blushing slightly.

Blake sighed. He was getting pretty tired of this "cute girl" obsession. "So I've heard..." he stated, more annoyed than ever that he wasn't getting his questions answered. Giving in he wandered over to the window and peered out in the direction that Rex was looking in. There was one girl standing by the window looking back at them. "Is that her?" he asked, thinking to himself that Rex was right, the girl was pretty cute.

Karia looked in through the window and saw a very good looking guy staring back. She waved slightly, hoping he would wave back. "Hey Lana, you aren't the only new person here. Rex has got a roommate."

Rex looked to see who Blake was talking about. With one look he knew that was Karia. "No, I mean the girl in the room with her. Oh, come on! Let's go visit them!"

Lana peeked out one more time to see who Karia might be talking about and caught sight of Blake. She thought about saying something to Karia about it but chose not to after their somewhat weird conversation a few moments ago. She found it sort of interesting that she could see her brother's room from her own but she wasn't sure yet if it was a good thing or not.

Blake's heart gave a slight leap. So the blond haired girl wasn't the one that Rex had been speaking of... He wondered vaguely for a moment if she had a boyfriend or not before pulling his head out of the clouds. It wasn't like him to think much about girls, but then again that was when he was busy with after school jobs. Maybe this new school year would open up interesting possibilities for him. He nodded vaguely to Rex's offer to go visit them, completely forgetting how much he had hated the guy a few moments prior.

"Oh my, they are leaving the room," Karia said, frowning. She looked at Lana for a couples, "Are you okay?"

Rex rushed out of the room and made sure that Blake was following. He began running to the end of the hall and down the stairs. "Oh, I forgot, he probably ain't a jock." He walked a couple feet and waited for Blake at the door leading to the girls dorm.

Lana peeked back once again to watch the boys leave the room. She sat back again wondering where they were headed off to and how Blake was doing with his new room mate. After a moment she realized that Karia had asked her a question and she had failed to answer it. "Yeah..." she replied, unsure of what else to say.

Blake was surprised by Rex's speed as they rushed out of the room. He was expecting to walk like a normal person down the hallways but apparently Rex thought otherwise. He ran after his new roommate until he saw him stop in front of the door. When he saw the number on the wood he stopped dead. Lana's room? It couldn't be...

Rex knocked on the door.
Karia answered and saw Rex on the other side. "Uh, hi Rex, how's it going?"
"Fine, I brought a friend along," Rex said, pushing Blake into view.

Blake watched with anticipation as Rex knocked on the door. Was this really the right room or was Rex really just playing a trick on him?

Lana jumped slightly as a knock sounded on the door. Who could it be? Lana could only guess that it was either one of Karia's friends or maybe Blake coming to see if she was settled in. As Karia went to answer the door Lana tilted her weight sideways to try to see who it was from her position atop of the bed.

Blake blushed as the blond haired girl came to open the door. Apparently it hadn't been the wrong room... But that could only mean that the girl that Rex had commented on... Was Lana. Blake felt himself being pushed into the doorway and stood stiffly, too dumbfounded to speak, both by the girl that was standing in front of him and by the fact that his new roommate apparently had love interests with his 14 (soon to be 15) year old sister.

When Karia saw saw Blake she blushed, but she tried to hide all the signs.

Rex entered the room, pulling Blake in with him. "Well Karia, you have any idea why we are here?"

Karia raised an eyebrow. "No, I don't."

Rex looked at Blake, "Well, say something."

Lana saw someone push Blake into the room. Sliding off of her bed she came to stand next to Karia but out of the way of the door. "Blake!" she said in a quiet yet happy voice before giving him a light hug.

Blake was like a deer in the headlights. His head was swirling slightly from all the things that were going on around him. He saw Lana get off her bed and come to greet him and returned her hug without thinking. "I guess we came for a visit..." he said awkwardly, still unsure of how to respond to the situation.

"This your brother, I take it," Karia said, "Oh my, you have a truly lovely voice. My name is Karia!" she said to Blake in her sweetest voice.

Rex watched as the girl hugged Blake. "Uh, hello miss, may I know your name?"

As Lana pulled away from her brother she noticed another boy standing slightly behind him. She vaguely heard Karia saying something to her but it didn't really register. Her first reaction to the boy was nervousness and then shortly after curiosity as he spoke to her. "I'm Lana..." she replied shyly, fighting the instinct to hide behind her brother.

Blake blushed. He was torn between keeping his sister away from Rex and talking to Karia. "Um... Nice to meet you..." he said cautiously as he tried to equally divide his attention between the two parties in the room.

Rex smiled. "Hello Lana, how's it going for you? Do you mind if we enter?"

"Come on in!" Karia said to Blake, tugging on his shirt.

Lana blushed slightly, "Oh, okay..." she said, standing back to make room for him. "I'm alright..." she replied quietly, "You?"

Blake was surprised as Karia began tugging him into the room, "Whoa..." he said, as he followed her into the room. It didn't really seem like he had a choice, though he wouldn't have refused anyway...

"Just perfect," Rex said, smiling sweetly.

Karia watched as Blake entered the room. "Wow, you seem like such an awesome guy."

Lana blushed all the harder as Rex smiled at her. She was used to be ignored at school and part of her had liked it that way. Her strong point wasn't socialization like most girls her age but she found that she might actually enjoy talking to Rex and couldn't help but smile just a little bit.

Blake was at a complete and utter loss with this girl. The way she fawned over him was insane! He had never hit on anyone before, let alone been "hit on" by someone else. "Is that true?" he said, feeling his cheeks redden at her words.

Rex smiled at Lana's blushing, "You look cute like that," he pointed out.

"Yes, it's very true!" Karia said, giggling.

Lana nearly died when Rex complimented her. She blushed so hard she thought her face would catch fire from the heat, "I um..." she stuttered, unable to reply.

Blake smiled as Karia giggled. His thoughts of Lana and Rex seemed to disappear and all his attention focused on her, "You're not half bad yourself..." he said almost cheerfully though it was normally against his nature.

"Watch yourself girl, go too red we'll have to hose you down," Rex joked.

"T-thanks," Karia blushed a little herself. This was not common behavior for her, especially around men.

Lana could tell that she was getting a bit off her rocker when she realized that she wouldn't mind too much being hosed down by Rex. Keeping that thought to herself she just shrugged.

Blake smiled at her small embarrassment. He thought that maybe it'd be nice for them to go somewhere or do something but he couldn't really make the offer as he didn't know where anything was or what there was to do.

Rex laughed a little, "You don't like talking much, eh? Well, that's alright, sometime I'll get words out of you," he said with confidence.

Karia sat down on her bed and beckoned Blake to follow. "So, where did you come from?"

Lana actually found herself laughing with him. It was the first time in a long time that she had been this happy. After a moment she realized that although she had introduced herself to him he had not reciprocated, "You still haven't told me your name..." she said shyly.

Blake followed Karia over to her bed and awkwardly sat down atop it. He wasn't used to being in a girl's room, let alone sitting on their bed. "Kyrite... Though I'm sure you probably haven't heard of it. It's a few hours from here and a fairly small town."

Rex came to his senses. "Oh, I forgot, my name... it's Rex."

"No, I never heard of it before," Karia said, smiling. "I come from Kayana, it's about two days from here."

Lana giggled a bit more, quite unlike her usual self, "You forgot you're name?" she said, picking on him.

Blake's eyebrow rose slightly, "Two days? That's pretty far..." and here he though that the length of his ride was bad...

Rex smiled, "Yeah, I forgot my identity just by looking into your beautiful eyes."

Karia shook her head. "It's not that horrible to ender," she smiled again.
