Now that it's been a few days I feel entirely content to say, no my first thoughts of Mene were far from deluded.<333 :sweat:

It's only recently that I've been more active on Menewsha, but at first, I didn't really like it.
I thought it was hard to earn gold, the avatars weren't that nice and what was up with no starter clothes?
I only really started to enjoy this site around the halloween event. I realised it was actually really fun, and nearly everyone was nice and literate. So I flushed my old perceptions down the drain and started anew.

Then recently I've begun to enjoy this site more and I've developed a liking towards the avatars. They're a cross between a chibi style and a human looking avatar, but much nicer than Gaia's.
And I've realised I have a great skill at Tetris I can use to get 50 gold per play. Not bad. ^_^
Plus all the items are really pretty. I find it hard to decide what to buy next.

First thoughts:

That the clothes are amazing, and the people are mostly all really kind.

And I don't know how to make Gold.
It's a scary thing, but so far the community seems amazing.^^

Though I couldn't find a hairstyle that was like Szayel Apporo Gran's which upset me abit. ;__;


Edit: Oh and considering the cheapest clothes I found so far was 500 Gold? Yeah.. I don't wanna be eternally naked ;__;

At first I was a little apprehensive about the difficulty in earning gold and the limited number of games but the avatars are absolutely adorable, the staff is very approachable, and the people here are friendly and literate!

I've picked some really expensive items for my first outfit, so I'm still wearing the cheapest gown/stretched-out shirt, but the items in the shops are beautiful, even this shirt thing is cute. It makes my avatar look like a little girl wearing her dad's shirt.

Although I've only been here for less than a week, I've already earned over 700 gold and am halfway finished buying the clothes I need for my first outfit.

It's really low-pressure here, so I feel comfortable posting and it seems to me that no matter what I write, my opinions are respected even if they aren't agreed with. That's a really nice feeling, so I've tried to behave the same in return.

It feels like a little neighborhood here full of community-minded people. I'm happy and I love it.

Hm my first thoughts, well to tell yea the truth i was truly terrified! all the rules just well over wemled me and i fear to post thinking that any moment i could break a rule that i happened to miss.
But that left after some time. thank goodness. ^^

mainly due to the extreme amount of girl items, and the almost invisible amount of items that a guy can choose from. I'm hoping im just not looking in the right place =P

As to that, mano, it depends on what you like, style-wise. I know a lot of guys who would be able to dress themselves in something they'd find cool. But I also know that some guys would just not like what we have for them.

Like CK said, mano, it depends on the guy itself and their preferences.

Personally, as I always have a male avatar on, I always find it a fun challenge to see what would work and come out looking nice/decent on my avatar.
I've tried various combos and liked a few. Venture through more items and you might find some you like as well. =)

My first impression was positive, then I ventured to making an avatar and got a little confused since no matter what I clicked, the image would have stayed the same. So with a "save avatar" trick I somehow made an avatar I liked.

So far I like it how the site is set up. The forums look very nice.

My first impression was wow it's a lot like gaia and then when I actually got involved I thought hmm it's a bit better since the people here and more intelligent and not so gold crazed. And I like how the avatars look. It's not fat and stout like the gaians and the items are more pixelated/detailed =]

Actually, I first thought that this would be like Neopets without the pets. XP

My first thought was 'what do I do?' When I first joined Menewsha, I was also joining a bunch of other sites. I dropped a bunch of them as life got busy, but I remembered this one when someone posted a link on Soliaonline to here. I want to give the site a better shot then I originally gave it.
Now my thought is where do I find cheap clothes to dress my avatar with the gold that I have. Help?

Well, I thought it was a bit like Zantarni, which was my first avatar site after Gaia. They were a lot alike, consisting of a more literate crowd and the gold posting reward. I liked this site better because there were more items and I think it felt more populated.

I remember I joined and then, wasn't here for a while. Then I came back and I'm on here everyday, it's so great here.

I was a member of Magivolve, which was fun for some time but in the end the site went downhill. Because of corrupt Moderators and the worst admin EVER!

So one of my friends joined Mene. His name is Seven (Sad he's not around anymore), he told me about the site and I decided to check it out.
After hanging around for a couple of days I totaly fell in love with the site.
It's so much more friendly than Gaia, and not so freaking busy all the time! Nice avatars, and nice items. So I got realy active. :)

Even though I'm not as active as I used too be, I still love Mene. And am planning on being online alot more again! ^^

When I first joined, I was really frustrated with earning gold (and that stupid card game was addicting but always raped my gold count). :< I was born a lurker.. and well lurking doesn't get you anywhere on this site. D: I stayed here a few months, bought a couple CI's, and kinda left for a year. :c I'm back now.. and I'm less anti-social than before at least. :]

Well I just got bored and searched up on good old google for sites like gaia(sorry I refure to alot :S) and come across many but mene attracted me with the simple yet stylish set up of the site.
so I created an account thinking it would end up being another site I have joined yet never attend. then when reading the forums and seeing people actually being nice and lovely I was like hey this isnt like the rest.
the site is well kept after and everyone is so nice :P

All I can say is I want to stay on this site for along time and love the games that keep me entertained...(though would be nice if they had arkanoid ^_^)

I came in, pissed and a bit curious ((due the tektek.org ad fiasco)) and was pleasantly surprised.

My first impressions were that it was like gaia except you couldn't walk around like in gaia in rallies or towns, I found that a disappointment but I've got used to it. I thought it was hard to earn decent gold when I was a newbie without spending it! Because I got embaressed about being naked. But that's what I am like in all new websites. Now I love menewsha (;
