like alot of ppl thoughts, i also thought it would be like gaia. but i was proved wrong. no towns,nicer ppl,and easier chance to get gold =w=;;; the games seem alot funner then gaia's,but not alot. i think i'll stay for a while. i also thought it was impossible to get gold too but i know how 8D i'll soon be wearin clothes =w=

Actually, the only limit is on games. You can only earn 500g per day on games. If you post in the forums, you can earn an unlimited amount of gold. :D It just takes some work.

I was happy that it was so much less spammy than Gaia.

I thought the avatars were cute, and the items were really cool. =D

My initial thought was 'Excellent! It's not banned on the school's computers yet!' ...I wanted it to be a way to stay in touch with my friends but none of them really opted to join. >_< I stayed anyway. It's been well over a year... so I think I'm going to make an announcement about Menewsha in my deviantART journal after I draw up some avatar art or something... and tell everyone that the place is awesome. Because really, guys? It is. I enjoy it here.

My first thought was towards the avatars - I thought they were unique and beautiful compared to gaia's. Then my next thought was towards the gold earning system - I couldn't believe how hard it was to earn gold! Not even for a lurker such as myself!

I thought the design of the website is very good and the anime people on the background is awesome. :)

i joined because my friend wanted me to so i made a quick account. then i was like this is just like gaia!! but i looked around and now its like nothing compared to gaia! i hope mene dosent have goverment issues like gaia!

My first impression was, "wow, this looks a lot like Gaia!"--Which was actually a good thing, because other avi sites I've been on recently have hard-to-navigate layouts, and I want to light them on fire. If Gaia's good for anything it's that you can usually find where things are no matter what page you're on--Menewsha's no different, in that respect.

Righto. I love that there's an animation on the registration pop-up--it's super cute. I'll admit, I was a little bit put off by customizing your avatar happening after you make your account and name, but I quickly got over that when I saw that you can change everything about your avatar for free (unlike Gaia). :heart:

I really liked the little popups reminding you to make a Fresh Meat post, and then the notifications when someone posts there--I hate joining a site and not getting any responses for days. D: I was really happily surprised to find the Christmas event going on still, since I signed up on the 27th, and that made it a lot easier to get out there and socialize.

People here are super-friendly and generous, and they don't seem to mind the n00b questions I had. I was so excited when I found out NPCs sometimes show up in threads! That's completely foreign to me (but apparently it happens on Subeta too--I hadn't known that. XD; ) and adds just that much more charm to the site. Being able to post up to four images in your signature (for clickables) as long as it's under 500 characters is a very happy change from other sites, too--I usually can't get more than two or three in at a time.

And then the GAMES! A lot of other forum sites I've poked around on have games, but you can't earn currency with, say, Tetris on another site. (Solia has this problem, for example. The games aren't built into the site itself, so you can't earn anything, and that kinda defeats the purpose!) The Attack of the Fangirls game had me hooked instantly, and then I stupidly thought I should play me some Tetris, and it's all been down hill from there. :heart:

...I, er, think I might be done there. Hurhur. I could go on for days. I :heart: me some Menewsha, though--this site's a blast, and I'm liking the people I've met on here.

at first I was discouraged because money is so hard to come by (cause u knwo im such a busy person,... im not being sarcastic either ::P)

But the es thing I really love about this site is how nice the ppl are!!! i mean the gaia ppl they are ok but not as nice and the ppl on solia ... well lets just say I had a little run in with them and it turned into a big arguement and then I got banned -.-
but I only met 1 nice person on there....
All in all menesha rocks my socks ;)

I also came from gaia. I just thought, "Oh here is another unliterate place, with avatars." But I was TOTALLY wrong. This place is wonderful and literate and everything. But then I started hating ONLY because it kind of took a little longer to earn gold than gaia... Actually if you write "Hi." in one post, you get 42 gold on gaia... HOW EASY!? But I'm glad you have to work for gold. And people on gaia write spam and the mods don't even delete it!! So they could write "hahaha" and get enough money to buy a shirt... WELL!? Please rant on this now. XD

AND, when I saw that people are nice to noobs, I fell of my chair. Even the mods are nice and actually TALK to you unlike... *cough* gaia. *cough* I was amazed that they talk to you, but they also have a CHARITY! I've never seen that, on any site like Mene. To be nice enough to talk to you, they are amazingly nice, and funnier than the "computers admins" on other sites. And people on Mene talk to you, that are your friends. On gaia I had over 5 pages of friends I never even said hi to. So I copied and pasted all of their names and put it in one pm, on the names, and sent "Hi how are you!?" half said who are you, and the other half didn't reply... GAIA IS HORRIBLE!

Either way I don't think Gaia is horrible, the gold comes pretty easy after a while. The people there aren't too nice at times -.-

With the only other avatar forums I've been on being Gaia and Roliana, I felt this place was completely different XD Mainly because Gaia was so huge and crowded while this place is small and pleasant, similar to Roliana but with a completely different feel.

Honestly, the first thing I thought of was "Oooo, another avatar site! I wanna join!" XD

Though, I tried to be active, but when it comes to avatar sites I tend to be single-minded, and I was still into another avatar site at the moment. Then when I quit that site, I popped onto here for a bit, but by then had become taken in by yet another avatar site, then that one closed down, and I became semi-active on here while I was fully active on yet another site. Finally, I'm fully active here while that other site I'm not semi-active on. >w<

I wasn't sure what to think about Menewsha. I had never been on another avatar site. I didn't know how anything worked. I just wanted to dress up my cute little avi. Then, I realized that I wasn't given anything to dress up in! I was a bit freaked about being naked and realizing that it was going to be a while before I had clothing. I might have abandoned ship at that point actually, but then I noticed the pop-up bar at the top.

At first, I thought "oh no, I don't want to introduce myself!", and so I posted a lame "Hi!", but then people started posting in my thread. I thought, "Well, that's very friendly.". Then, something very cool happened. I got a trade notification. Midian was giving me an entire outfit to wear! I was so happy to be able to dress, and even happier to see that there were some really nicepeople here. :)

Since then, that first impression of the community has held true. The people on Menewsha are very friendly and nice. I feel safe to post here and I'm enjoying many of the threads.

I thought is was another Zantarni or Rolliana (doesn't seem very much like gaia xD) However the people here are a lot more nice than those other sites :D

i thought it was pretty cool but its super hard to get money lol ..i pretty much like everything about it and it does seem alot like gaia its cool :D

I wasn't into it at all. I'm not sure what turned me away but I abandoned my account before even getting established here and have only recently rediscovered it. I'm still a little turned off by how slow moving everything seems but I haven't found my niche yet.

And indeed, Menewsha has come a VERY long way.

I was one of the original members, waaaaaaaaaay back when. A migrant from Gaia as I found Gaia to be growing rather...distasteful. (TOOOOOOO BIG)
