Well at first i thought it would be cool.
Then i got in the site and thought it was gay.
Then i got sucked into it and started to like it.

My first thought that it was just another site like Gaia.

I have bin on Gaia sins it's first year so I have bin there to watch as the @$$holes joined and have ruined it for some many people. Almost every one I knew when I started has left. One time there was someone questing for a angelic pendent, so I gave it to him as almost no one can afford them. He had it on for three days
before he sold it in the market place.

I'm so glad I was wrong about this site.

I thought hmmm this looks like a cool place, Oh wait an event cool!!!

I noticed that everyone was extremely friendly and I had joined because I always like to make new friends, and the avatars looked interesting. ^^

I come here on and off, but I still really like this site. Everyone's always so friendly.

I saw how hard it was to make gold, but I learned how to treasure it I guess. It's much cleaner and stricter than Gaia, but yet awesome.

I actually thought it sucked at first. I was like LOW another avatar site. But just like all the others I said that about I kind of liked it and stuck around. Though I'm still pretty new, I may change my mind. XD

My first thought was:

"Wow, it's like Gaia and Zantarni had a head-on collision, and all the good parts got thrown together and the bad parts died a horrible, fiery death. o_o"

I'm serious. That's exactly what I thought. XD *former member of Zantarni; part-time Gaia user still* The first thing I noticed was that this place was small and friendly, like Zantarni...and that the site administration was very involved and helpful, like Gaia, though due to the small size, the staff is infinitely MORE helpful here. Things happen here when the admins SAY they're going to happen and everything. And like on Zantarni, I loved the avatars here.

And now, Mene is the site to which I make all my mental comparisons, because I love it here so much. X3

My first thought was, "read the rules read the rules don't kill me!" XD I came over on the Tektek train and the admins and staff were swamped with newbies and trying to clear the spam. ><; I was hanging out in the fresh meat forum talking to Seito and Secret so that I didn't get in trouble right away. XD My other first thoughts were, "Gold is hard to earn, will I ever get clothes, events are awesome, it's hard to talk a lot. ><;" But I really love Mene and it's less annoying than Gaia so I'm thankful for that. <3

At first I also thought that there will be now way for me to earn a lot of gold, but when you get used to it, then it's not that bad as it seemed.
My second thought was, that the avatars looked rather weird, because I got used to the ainme style.

I too thought it was hard to earn gold, I dislike being without clothes, but I finally started earning gold and participated in some of their events and I finally got enough gold to start to fish, and now I'm able to earn gold. I am not much of a talker, so it is hard for me to ramble on about things, I was frustrated at first because it seemed every time I would start a thread it would get locked. Oh well just have to come up with original ideas.

I thought "this place sucks!"

the gold is so hard to get and its too confusing. Gaia is more "put together"

Haha, I thought the avatars were okay-ish. :D They are pretty nice though! <3 XD I also think gold is kinda hard to earn. D: I mean, since you get gold for a post then you should be able to bump. Or they could at least add some more games and ways to get gold.

I was on Anitaria and suddenly Menewsha pops up and EVERY member of Anitaria moved over here. So I thought: Why not give it a try? At first everything was a little to uptight for me, and earning gold was difficult but now I'm used to everything and it is awesome. :)

My first thoughts were that I thought the crown's were awesome.

And then that I would like to be a item god here.

I think the layout is confusing, and some of the things that are added are a bit unnecessary or out of place / could be better. It seems unorganized.
As I say this though- I think over the years it'll probably grow and improve (Kinda like Gaia did) and get more users. I notice there's barely any.. Traffic going on? Like some of the latests posts for this thread were in Feb 17.

Not to mention the only way to get Gold is through posting large posts. o_o I now try to make mine longer for the Gold.. Starter clothes would be nice. xD

I was happy to see a Mod replied to me in the Fresh Meat section though. That made me happy. 8D On Gaia, it's rare to even see a mod post. Another thing is, everyone is literate. <3

Other than that.. o 3o That's.. well, basically all. I think Mene has a nice community, I received a warm welcome.

my very first thought was "AWWWW the avatars are so cute" lol then as I checked the site out,I was very impressed with how it was ran. I know a few people thought that the rules were too strict but that is one of the main things that kept me here,because there wasn't a billion spammy,junky,repeat topics.thats one thing that started me away from Gaia,the fact that 90% of the topics were either pointless or the same thing so it was hard keeping up good conversations.

so I would have to say that my first impression on Menewsha was a very good one and still is :)

I came through seeing some users on Zantarni discussing the wonder that was Menewsha. When I got here, I thought the avatars and items were amazing, and I loved their style.

I was pretty excited at first, but then I found it extremely difficult to earn gold, got turned off because I thought I'd never be able to earn enough gold for anything I wanted with the amount of free time I had, and left.

A short while ago, I decided to give Menewsha a better shot, and now that I have more time to put into posting and being social, not to mention the awesome that is fishing, I'm having a much better time here. ^_^

At first my friend told me that Menewsha was alot like gaia..So I joined...but actually it was NEVER like gaia! Maybe just a tineeey bit..but earning gold here is kinda fun! Because you get gold by posting :wink: ..My first impression was thinking that this place might be boring..but I actually like posting alot and talking with people! :D

I initially thought the avatars were adorable so I wanted to check out the rest of the site. Everyone has been very nice to me so far, they all seem literate and proper posts are actually worth the effort. I was afraid this was going to be like Gaia to be honest, but the only things they have in common at all are avatars to dress up and gold earning to buy items.

This is a great place to hang out and I really hope Mene is around for a long time. :)

I'd say the gold earning was deffinetly the thing that struck me most.
At the time i joined the Crown CI's had been released, and were selling for 250g. I thought that was uber hard to get, so i gave up on my quest for one. I soon learned it wasn't as bad as i thought.
