I thought it would be like another Gaia too,that's why i joined! :D
but it's hard making gold. :( ,thats why I just started posting in the forums. XD

My first thoughts were, "Wow, everyone is so nice. This place has the best community hands down." I have had second thoughts since then, but they usually pass, and all the features seems to be improving ^__^

I thought that I would never be able to earn gold, but I decided that I wasn't going to quit. The first thing that really gave a good impression on me was the avatars. I like gaiaonline and everything, but menewsha's are ssssssoooooo cool!!! They have necks!!!

my first impression was "i hate this site" because of how hard and confusing it first was. But then i saw how literate people were here compared to gaia so i was like "woah, i think ill stay". i also really liked how cheap items were here compared to gaia's massive inflations and the new marketplaces. I wasn't very happy that the exchange was getting their prices by how rare items were and by the price guide. i was really used to going to the "marketplace" to see how much items were. now i kinda got used to using the price guide, but i dislike having to raise my offers because of how rare the items are. xPP the items here are amazing also, im pretty glad my friend told me about mene xDD

My first impression ... um .. I was one of those people who said this site was a ripoff of gaia but now, I have opened my eyes and see that not only is Mene free from spam but you can actually talk with people and not have to worry about spam on the forums.

But now that I have been here, I actually like it and then I thought it would be to hard for me to earn gold. I was like "I'm never going to be able to buy anything on this site"

Then the first thing I bought on here was the ragged cloth, and I was saying "yay!" and I still have it on my avie to this time. I'll never take it off! lol.

Well since I just Join Menewsha today. I am so confused about a lot of things. It's Nice to see People actually talking instead of just posting random things in some ones thread. I hope I will get use to how different things are there.

When I first saw Menewsha, I thought it might be hard to earn gold, but the literacy and how nice people were made it worthwhile. It also struck me how nice these avis are. They have a nice balance and I liked how they had the right amount of items as well.

I got drawn in by the style of clothings they have in members avatar, reason why I joined Gaia. But I started to hate Gaia, cause of such.. lets say.. mainstream it has gone to, it lost it's original touch. Menewsha, is like the Gaiaonline I first joined when Gaia first opened.

Lets hope it stays this way <3

I came here via a thread on Gaia wherein Aeris had some avatars of hers for drawing purposes---contest or requests, I cannot remember anymore. It's been a while really.

When I first signed up and all, I was looking at all the items and was totally at awe. The style of items and the selection at that time had been very nicely done but I joined around June and wasn't too fond of the Leona/Tigra items.

I didn't like it that much and I think left? I didn't know how to socialize and meet people then... I was wondering how the heck I would survive but I ended up finding people in the long run when I went back -forgot for what reason though- and started to enjoy the site.

I don't remember comparing it to Gaia though...

It looks cute thats what i thought.
I joined but then i was also on gaia and roliana so i was really busy with all those sites

When I joined I thought it was a nice site, though kind of scared to interact with people I don't know - I thought I'd never earn enough gold to get clothes. xP

After I got used to everything I thought everyone was very nice. :D

I aswell came from Gaia, and still attened regularily. But Menewsha made a good first impression on me. I like the small community, how literate everyone is, and how to get gold. It all makes sence.
I'm still getting used to it mind you, but so far, first impression was good.

My first thought: "...OMG!! People actually POST on here! And it's slow enough to keep track!"

..Yeah. I'm just barely getting over a 'fear of posting' since on Gaia, I gave up trying to talk to anyone and had become closed in with just a few friends to talk to on Furcadia (which I quit. So now I'm friendless on the internets! Onoes! MYSPACE EMO TIME!). ;P

i thought it was going to be like gaia...but i was wrong.

i have my pros and cons.
like i think u should be able to get
gold from other stuff then just posting and games.

but i do like how much its different from gaia to.
it teaches u to be more social online. : D

CONFUSING. Like out of all the Avatar Sites i've joined, this one has to be the one that confused me the most.

I've joined External Nox, Gaia, and Zantarni. I joined Gaia in 2005 and i wasn't that confused. Zantarni almost a year ago, and i wasn't that confused. And this just... was like... What the Heck i'm lost....

That's all i have to say.

And Ancasta what's wrong with Zantarni?

I came over from Gaia as well, during a time when my internet wasn't so great and I had gone into extreme lurker mode. :\ It sucked.


I didn't like Menewsha much at the time, but I'm warming up to it now. I had an account on some other site similar to the way my friend described Menewsha... And I didn't like that site at all. But Mene rules so hard core it'll make you eat your socks. :]


And it's way less confusing once you've got the first few things and have read the rules. Much more user friendly than Gaia.

This flow somewhat like tar here. Very, very, very slowly. =) But, I suppose that is alright. It just means I might be able to keep track of threads easier.

My friend has told me quite a bit about this website. Although when I came, I thought it would be like Gaia. But I really find that I'm wrong. I love how small this community is, and how you earn gold. I LOVE writing long posts. And I'm always making sure that I spell everything right and I use proper grammer, yadda, yadda, yadda.

And I find that this community is much more friendlier than Gaia. The mods seem to enforce their rules more. And It's much... 'slower' than Gaia is. You don't check back on a thread you posted on 5 minutes ago to see that it's already had 5 more pages added to it. I'm glad to see that Menewsha goes at a slower pace.

And I was a bit dissapointed to see that I didn't get any clothes to begin with. But I'm OK. That's why I'm posting here anyways. Gold~

My first impression was that it was a bit buggy and the art wasn't too impressive, and I didn't really like the layout very much. But that's all nothing that would turn me off. I like small and growing communities. I loved the creative items and the cute pixeling... I loved the idea of posting for your income... and I loved the rules.

So I had some good impressions and bad impressions... but there they are!

I didn't agree with some of the goings-on behind the scenes, nor had I ever really cared for the community. Bit too 'hive mind', at least that's how it seemed to me. It might've changed by now, who knows? I haven't really been back, except to save my avatar for posterity.

"YES. finally something other than gaia." and I never went back. I was put off a bit by that month's CIs. I didn't like the masks at first, but I found the avis attractive and everything (except the vaslentine's items) to be affordable.

I actually thought it was a lot like Gaia too (after all it is one of the largest online communities and known by many people).
I like the way Menewsha looked, however. I felt as if it wasn't as organized, but still very nice. The characters looked really cute and the clothes very original.
I also liked the idea of the more literate you are, the more gold you get. Most other communities are filled with people who could care less about how they type their sentences and such. It feels great to have a place where you can carry a conversation without having people typing like this: how r u tOdai?
Overall, my first impression of Menewsha was good.

@ Dreamseer - xD I still remember posting right after people in gaia after they start their thread and going "heres the translation:" xD it made so many people mad :lol:

But on mene I spell-check almost every word through Firefox xD
