ahh, I am taking a gamble on all of my gold and the event. Celes Paradi was nice, I had lots of gold, and then no wings came out, phoenix jubilee, I had no gold, and plenty of wings came out...

As for the tokens, i really did like that idea, though it did give me large amount of commons more than I normally have. Then again, I like halloween commons. I also like how stars worked, it suggested people to post more than normal.

there's a mole day? o.o

mole as in 6.022 x10^23 (it is a mole in chem) it is the amount of atoms to make the atomic weight on the periodic table (I believe). It is celebrated on october 23 every year. Being at a tech school we are going to celebrate and decorate moles (stuffed) for the holiday.

yeah, that is the joke, we make stuffed versions and dress them up for amusements, it was done for me in high school, now doing it in college :)

Weird science peoples creep me out (was English major)

ahh, i go to an engineering school, and do architecture, that is ironic, least sciency of the school, but yes, it depends on school and stuff, my boyfriend, a chem E never even heard of mole day, yet alot of my other friends had.

Oh, that's wicked cool. My girlfriend's father and 2 of three brothers are all engineers of some sort.

ah, my dad is a mechanical engineer, and alot of my friends are engineers (happens with going to the school), but even now, we all have fun being a bit geeky and more just that alot of people here have more overlapping interests than we are use to at our old schools.

I think that's one of the great things about being in a specialized field--you actually have stuff in common with the people you are taking classes with. As an english major, I was tossed in mostly with people wanting to be teachers, a few that wanted to pursue library science, and then the handful like me that just chose it because they needed to major in SOMETHING it was the best fit.

it does work, and yes I am glad that I have stuff in common with people, like now I get to make cooler things and have people teach me how to make things, and how materials are better used. And being with teachers work, but yeah, not as much in common as with english only people I better.

That is sad though, I like working with the specialized fields a bit more due to at least then knowing what their job is a bit mroe, and their strengths and weaknesses are more relevant

It absolutely is, which is why I'm really looking forward to going back to grad school--even though we'll all be focused on different areas, we will all have the interest in higher ed to unite us.

ahh, you are going to grad school then. that sounds awesome. The higher education really does unite people together, it is quite funny. And Seito the engineer!!

hopefully will be, not bringing stuffing or anything, but might bring some feet scraps so that I can have fun as well, but for the most part, will try and do everything to make it an awesome green velvet mole.
