This is probably the nicest and most welcoming community I have encountered in a forum.
I am also from Gaia and I am glad that you have taken the liberty to read all the rules already. I also really like the rules here and the fact that they are enforced. It keeps this community close and more discussion-orientated.

About your question regarding polls, they do not earn you any gold.

To katyasha: I was tempted to post there as well, but I figured I should have something for you all to answer instead of the normal "Hi, I'm Lania and I've been a forum addict for 5 years now" xD

Anyways if you explore all the threads here you should find tons of places to chat in. You just can't be scared to go into someone's thread and post. There are lots of hangout threads that people set-up just to chat.
The mods are extremely active here =D
A lot of them believe in having a close relationship with the community, so they try to stay as active as possible.

To M i n u x e: Sadly, recruiting would bring the flamers, trolls and spammers raining down, where as word of mouth tends to spread to people of a like mind. The grass is always greener on the other side, eh?

I was thinking of joining an rp so I can get nice long posts under my belt, seeing as I love to type and there's a reward for it here.

@Lania: Well since spamming is not tolerated here all those people will soon be banned as long as the staff is able to keep up. At least this is what hopefully will happen xP
