lol thanks for the replies (i am VERY Opinionated, so sorry ahead of time LOL). and i will check out those links Rmarques.

hmm at times older Jnp singers dont have the Live singing problems younger ones do. 'Sakura Wars' for example, great set of vocals and VAs. Live- they dont seem to enjoy the costumes, but they know how to preform.

i think popular Otaku anime just gets young singers into idol status too early, and they just dont build up the experience.

BACK TO THE TOPIC XD sorry for the Thread Jacking.

-you ever see Anime made specifically to sell a product? then they try to tag on some lame story about experience and friendship?

i would say Precure Splash is that type of anime, but you can admit, you over look it.

Anime: The voices, sometimes.

Manga: How there's a lot of manga that are exactly the same.. Just different characters and some different scenes.

Anime: I dislike Dubbed anime for the most part, I prefer to watch my anime in it's native language with sub titles. I also dislike those overly obsessed anime, such as Naruto and FMA. I think that people should Like and anime, not Obsess over it and base their life solely over one anime. It is something that should be enjoyed overall, not in specifics. Sure I have my favourites, I love Chobits, Loveless, Trinity Blood, and a variety of others, but when someone becomes obsessive, (like all the Narutards out there)I will complain about them, because they are annoying, and it's all I ever hear about anymore. I used to like FMA, It's a great series, but too many people obsess over it now, that I can no longer watch it without being accused of being obsessed myself. That and I can't watched the dubbed of either FMA or Naruto, the voiced make me want to shoot myself (no lie).

Manga: I don't like when people mispronounce the word Manga, they always say it wrong, and I don't like it, and then back again to the obsessives, but I feel very much like I do with Anime, so I wont get into that, to save you all from my ranting. There isn't much about actual Manga that I seem to dislike unless people wreck it, or abuse the book in some way, then they can buy me a new one, because I wont take it back. Anyways, I think that is a long enough of a rant for you all. Bye!

Bad voice actors drive me insane. I've stopped watching all dubbed anime mostly because I can't stand who they hire to voice the characters.

I dislike it when two guys are together and I think it's a straight couple. :lol: That always bugs me in anime and manga.

I dislike when a guy character does something wrong, even on accident, someone has to kick his face in a billion times and call him a pervert. Even if he's not a pervert, or even if he is. It just isn't funny to me. :/ I can stand the occassional female who lashes out in violence at the guy she secretly likes too, but I don't like seeing it too often. Ryoko in Spiral sometimes bothers me, but considering that later on you find out it bothers HER that she does it, it seems less 2D for me.

I hate that there always has to be someone who is usually the pervert. I see that in games too. It's always a guy too. Not just accused of being a pervert. It's when they themselves exhibit really lecherous behavior and they DESERVE the name. And what happens? Women LOVE them. Usually. They're not single because no one loves the dirty minded blockhead; they have many girlfriends or playthings and have no serious relationship, therefore they can act single as much as they want when they see the next girl. :/

Basically, I hate cliched characters. ^^; And I don't find beating someone bloody funny at all. ^^;

What have you seen that's dubbed? I'm mostly curious because I find that the quality of dubs has increased exponentially recently for a lot of series. For example, I prefer the Cowboy Bebop dub to the sub as I think it was excellent.

Fun trivia: the creator of Cowboy Bebop said that the American dub was closer to what he had originally envisioned than the Japanese dub.

I like that trivia! And I'm glad the creator thinks the dub was awesome as well. xD

I feel weird, sometimes, because I really don't hate dubs all that much. I do hate when something is mistranslated to the point it lowers the quality of something, and some voices are bad...

But I mean, I don't mind a few of the dubs. I think I like about 40% of them? They're getting better; I'll agree with that.

My problem is when people think they're learning Japanese from media (you can't, I swear it) or they think they're so cool because they're watching something in Japanese. Take for instance one of my favorite Korean companies...they made a game that was released in South Korea. It's got Korean voice actors. Somebody went on and on about how the game sucked, and it should have stayed in Japanese, because the Korean voice actors sound so fake. :/

It's a Korean game. In fact, I'm not sure it was even released in Japan. >.<; So yeah, I found that pretty insensative.

Sometimes voices..especially English dubs. x-X;; Most of them sound horrible. D:

Let's see what else.. hm.. too much perverted scenes? xD Like if the manga/anime isn't meant to be in the ecchi genre, but they still have a ton of those scenes.. makes me sick. -___-;

Oh~ and I hate when the characters have really whiny, immature, or annoying personalities. xD Sure, sometimes it makes the story move along, but I still don't like that. ><

I guess anime is different for everyone, because some of those bloody or perverted scenes are hilarious, even if they're out of context, but I do agree that some take those a little too far *Cough* Excel saga *Cough* but it does make the story move sometimes, although it's not for all anime, where the theme is more of a shojo or shonen and not so much in the ecchi genre. As for high pitched squeaky and squealing voices, depending on the character, I'm all for them. It suits Hunny-Sempai from Ouran High School Host Club perfectly, but that's what he is, an adorable little Lolita child style character where he's all cute and happy and loves almost everything, but when it's things like in Sailor Moon, I don't think anyone should have that style of voice unless necessary.

I can usually deal with the Japanese voices but when the English voices are so grating that I can't bear to watch an anime dubbed, it makes me wish they hadn't dubbed it in the first place. I usually hear about or even see some of the animes I love before they ever reach American shelves (hooray for fansubs and the internet) but if I get all excited about an anime I love being dubbed only to find that the voices are too painful to hear, it makes me hate it. Especially when that anime becomes insanely popular.
I also hate it when anime is butchered for American tv. If it's not appropriate to put on tv the way it originally was then it doesn't belong on American tv at all. Don't completely change the story or characters or dialog just because the censors won't allow it.

I dislike gratuous mascot characters. Sometimes you feel like they're only shoving them in so they can get merchandise out of them.

I dislike battles that go on for like ten eppisodes.

When a character dies then comes back to life then dies then comes back to life then dies then comes back to life and so on.

It's heartbreaking the first time a character dies and touching when they come back to life, but only the first time. Then it just becomes too predictable.

"Oh noes! Sailor Moon is dead!"
"Just wait until the end of the episode. She'll be fine."

well thats nice to know.
=

its funny when real life fangirls, poke at animated fangirls lol. not starting anything with you CupCake Fairy. :lol: its just something i see a lot...only way way worse. like calling death on the female character they dont like 0_o;

Anime Death-
maybe that is why i always laugh when anime characters die. its the funniest thing. then they just come back to life because of a new season. it was sad the first two times... (the first being their past life). then it gets annoying.

"oh noos uranus and neptune died holding hands!!"
then it reaches the end of the show, and POOF there they are...all the Senshi, alive a well. laughing and cheering on Usagi.

Mascots-
wow. they seem to be dieing out a bit, and being replaced with Moe characters. but i remember when the popularity to have one was huge! you couldnt watch a show without a winged puff ball flying around going "NUU, FUFUMOO, NYO, PIKA, etc"

I hate it when an anime breaks away from the plot of the manga it's based on. That just ruins a show for me. (Fullmetal Alchemist, D.Gray-Man, Chrono Crusade I'm looking at you) It gets really bad when fans of the anime cuss out the "manga elitists" for ruining the show by pushing the manga on them. Give me a break. -_- Without the manga, their "oh-so-precious" anime would not exist. If you love the show, then looking at the thing it is based on is a good idea.

People that are not proportioned correctly always get me. In the first chapter of D.Gray-Man, there's this panel where Allen's hands are fricken' huge! They are bigger than his face! It bothers me. Then again, after reading Claymore, I have trouble reading other manga in general...

I also really hate cliché romance stories where the homely, not too bright girl gets the gorgeous and rich guy because she's true to herself. How unrealistic. :/

I don't like anime that takes so long to kill the bad guy. Example DBZ, they take five to six episodes to kill the bad guy, all this powering up looks like they are about to give the biggest well I hope your not down wind when it happens.
