Extreme yaoi fandom where every character must be gay even if they have a heterosexual canon relationship. Don't kill me, yaoi fangirls.
Cliche female characters. Anime and manga has so few decent female characters, especially when it comes to fighting series. For some reason, even though everybody is a ninja trained from birth, the female characters manage to be substantially weaker than their male counterparts. -rolleyes- Or obsess over some male character even though the character never has and likely never will show any interest in them.
Bah.

To the people who complain about fillers I can only guess that you are Naruto fans. XD Because I'll even agree that after awhile fillers can be annoying.
But look at it this way. Fillers are like stocking stuffers.
You have no idea what you are getting
(because its not based off anything in the manga),
But you don't complain because they are awsome little trinkets
(Same characters in new exciting stories...whats not to like)
You enjoy those trinkets for awhile and then you get to opening the big presents with your name on it.
(Allows for the manga to get farther ahead of the anime)
So in short I accutally enjoy the fillers. They are exciting side stories.
A thing I hate might be the fact that sometimes alot of good series have a snowball in july's chance of getting brought over to America.

Well that is just how they pronounce it all, and anyway, new dislike, is series that seem soo much of male cruelty and a strong fem that is makes no sense. I don't mind a strong female, but when the main character is a wimp, it just is an anti culture by a lot.

Thing I dislike in anime:
When female characters who are strong in the beginning of the anime/manga start to become weak later in the series.
When the story goes off the original plot and travels down a different road for like 50 episodes and then jumps back into the actual plot. Filers >___>
When they dub anime, when the voice editor sounds not even close to the character. Like for example, a 18 year old sounding like an old man and vice versa D:<
I also dislike when female characters are portrayed as weaker character then the male.

@fiarra and d2hiriyuu
i find the screaming of "iie" overused.
half the time its a girl shrieking, and the the mood drops for me, because it can get old.
purpose of the thread is posting dislikes or annoyances with anime.
and that is what i am doing.
so my views are not similar your own. i find that a good thing.
=
i found the japanese track for Naruto can be odd. since the teen characters sounded far older than what they seemed.
march 6
-sometimes pantie shots are cute.
but over abundance of them done on purpose can get really annoying...
-incredibly short school skirts...the characters legs are already abnormally long. no need to draw attention to it.
-will there ever be a shounen male, who doesnt have spiky jacked up hair?

there are so many things that i hate and i have no idea where to start.
I hate when girls are meant to kick ass but they can't because all of a sudden they become the Damsel of distress.
I also hate the whole love scenes. i mean i understand a bad ass character needs companion but don't bring in the whole love complex in the middle of things. it throws everything off.
Ithink thats all i can think of so far. 8)

I suppose there are a lot of cliches that I just don't like. For example, the absolutely adorable heroine that's so cute and clumsy but everyone loves her? I hate that. I wish they could make the girls more 'realistic' or something. Or that they're almost always the damsel in distress? Ew.
I sometimes dislike the whole magical girl genre for such a reason. I mean, I grew up watching sailor moon but for the WORLD of me coudln't figure out how everyone didn't recognize them. I like Sailor V because she at least wore a mask...but then she turned into Sailor Venus and it was like, 'wow, you just blew your cover. Great.'
I also tend to dislike most voices for the girls because they're so...annoying.
I also dislike plots that just keep going and going and going...I mean, it's okay if the story just takes a long time to tell, but when it's just the same thing being done over and over again (ai Inuyasha)...I get kinda tired. How many shards can you collect/lose? I mean, really. You think they'd get the idea and put them in a safe place to keep if they just find two, lose three, find four, lose more. It's just...redundant.

I get bothered real bad when I'm watching an anime and it is completely evident that they were rushed in working on it or that the head artist took a day off. I remember watching an episode of Ruroni Kenshin when I was younger, the episode where they were on the train, and Kenshin turned around and his cheek was sticking off his face like someone had just yanked it out of place. I hated it so much.
It happened in manga too, like there are these panels that just look hideously messed up. Ugg.

1. QUALITY. I know the head artist's not around, but seriously, guys...surely you could avoid sticking the main character's mouth close enough to his nose that he could pick it with his tongue? D:
2. NO ONE DYES IN BLEACH. Nothing against that anime/manga in particular, but the existence of complete immortality in some series--by which I mean, no one ever dies, despite hitting multiple near-death experiences--starts to feel stilted to me after a while.
3. The perpetual Beloved B!tch. By this, I mean the Haruhi-style character who bosses around everyone, insists she get her way, bores quickly of everything and demands more entertainment, and is a completely self-obsessed person all around...that the creator assures us we are supposed to love. A rendition of this trait that I do not find abhorrent would be the more Hiruma-styled character: bullying for what they want, dangerous, and selfish, but the anime or manga does not focus solely on them and insist that HEY YOU, WATCHER, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE THIS PERSON. On the contrary, people DON'T like that character, and you like them by learning to appreciate their small good traits or by being amused by their badness--not by being told they're just created amazing, and you must like it.
4. Dubs that sound like the voice actor never heard the original scene, and therefore got the emotion of the lines completely, utterly out of place. It can totally ruin an anime scene. :\

Manga: I hate it when there's a love relationship between a student and teacher. It's very cliche and i think it's weird. 0__o I also hate it when the main character is either extremely dumb, scary, etc. I guess i don't like anything that's out of the ordinary. (if it's set in a modern time period.
Anime: I hate it when a male is dubbed with a female voice. Very annoying. It throws me off for like, the first 10 episodes because i can't get over the fact the the guy is a girl. o__o It sounds really weird.

Bleach anime showed how cheap studios have to be now.
-do you ever focus on the fights in that show? barely anything but slide-show animation. and when there are sword hits, the camera pulls back and all you are looking at is some dots and pretty scenery.
-when male mangaka cant create a decent female character... *looks at Naruto series*
she either
1)looks male
2)snotty yet smart
3)is in the same place as everyone else, yet has no skills...and not in a cute way.

Sorry if these things have been said before, but anyway
Anime:
1.Boobs the size of cantaloupes always being shown. The only way anyone would have that big of a cup size is if they were pregnant of weighed a lot. And honestly, this usually leads to fan-service and "conveniently placed hair". I just wonder how the girls don't end up short and with scoliosis
2.The PMSing girls that always hit the male lead and act extremely bitchy yet the characters still put up with her and even love her. -_- These are even worse than the big, Pamela boobed girls. In real life those girls would be yelled at or slapped! Why? Just why??? It's not even funny, it hurts to watch.
3.Voice acting that is completely wrong. I understand that it's the best of the cast, but at least try to remember the emotion of the scene.
4.Filler. Three words: Naruto and Bleach
5.People don't die. I don't care if your fscking powerful, unless you're God or some sort of sooper-specshul demon thing, you have to die sometime.
6.When there are more flashback scenes than actually plot movement. This kind of turned me off from Tenjou Tenge. I mean I loved the fighting and was even able to look past all the melon sized boobage. Unfortunately, at least half of the story was devoted to flashbacks and filling in the story and goes from being about "Souichiro Nagi" and "Bob Makihara" trying to get expelled from the academy to "Maya Natsume" and "Shin Natsume" and their history, their incestous relationship, and why they must fight, when they could have just summarized it in a paragraph of dialog :|.
Ughh, I didn't even care for those two characters. This turned out out longer than I expected, and about Tenjou Tenge =_=.

Personally I love anime a lot but yes, there are some things that annoy me about specific ones (like everyone else in here has pet peeves or something of the like)
-Too many camera angles showing stuff. xD
-A lot of violence with no plot. There's no storyline, I'm gone. I mean there can be some cool moves along the way but besides that I consider it pointless. My brother blabbing on about combinations of hand signs from Naruto. That's annoying.
-Also like Cows Go Moo said, voice acting that doesn't fit. It's always so distracting for me when they do that. ><
