@sassy-There isn't really any best way.:3 Just buy baits and fish, and you'll first get cheaper fish and junk still but you'll still get profit. Once your EXP keeps getting higher, you'll get more fish=better profit.
I find that between the times 9am-11am 12pm 3pm-4pm and sometimes 10pm are decent times to fish.:3

Sometimes it depends on the time:3

I have to go in earlier today. -_-; I only have 3 periods and go in at 10:30. School starts regularly at 8, but today we have an early dismissal so all the classes are shorter so I have to be there by like..9:35ish instead of 10:35ish, and I get out at 12ish. I usually get out at 2ish
