I'd go out with an emo girl any day! They look so much cuter... O.o
That, and bad experiences with prep girls in high school makes me prone to avoiding them methinks. Makes sense :P

I'd rather go out with a girl who DIDN'T feel the need to label herself in order to "belong." It's incredibly immature. What I want in a guy or girl is someone who is their own person. Not one who tries to fit a certain mold. Not one who goes out of their way to avoid it. Just one who tries to make him/herself happy with what s/he does. Labels are for insecure children, and that's pretty much the opposite of what I like. :/
I wonder if this is why I usually feel emotional connections with people older than me?
But in terms of general attractiveness, I like the one in the top picture.

I don't think it matters either way as long as they have a good personality. As Ishoku said, they don't exist when you get older.

Both labels piss me off so I don't know if I could deal with either. Then again I have met decent preps before that actually wanted to be my friend when I first came to school...which was very very weird. ><; So far an actual emo child hasn't proven themselves anything less than posers and spoiled brats not getting their way. If I meet an emo kid that doesn't actually act emo then I'd probably like them more. Both styles don't appeal to me either. ><;

I'm going to have to agree with her.
And you didn't pick the best prep picture. You have a decked out emo girl and then just a picture of two preteen girl heads..which could be any stereotype.

I'm straight and female, so I woudn't go out with a girl. XD
But as stated, labels like that don't really exist so much when you're older. Certianly, there's people who dress those ways. Actually I see more people my age dressing on the "preppy" side of things. While I tend to dress more like the girl in the first picture. Cause I like bright colors and funky things... but that's not really emo, is it? I always thought of emo as like, black and red, and dark looking. I have lots of happy/cute clothes and jewelry... just because it's fun to wear, and I've always been fond of bright colors. X3 I don't really keep up with these things. XD I do have emo glasses tho.
That's me and LarissaFae on here. X3

Well first off, I hate labels. Any girl that labels herself emo, prep, goth, or any of the above don't deserve adoring attention from men. Labels are a selfish way to categorize yourself to sound good while surrounded by certain people. Looks wise, since I love dark hair and eccentric clothing, I choose the first girl.
Also... if you looked at the stereotype of "emo" she's looks far from it.

I agree with some of the other people about labels, they really are annoying all. But by looking at the pictures, I'd probably go for the girl on the top, but because I'm a straight girl I wouldn't really want to date either of them. I just the think the first picture of a girl looks better than the two teenage girls in the second picture making obnoxious faces.

I believe it is all in the personality, I for one prefer a girl with an outrageous personality who is not afraid to speak her mind, or show her true colors. Sure looks are a bonus, but I don't base relationships on looks, or stereotypes. To me all women that have a beautiful inside are beautiful to me.

As for me I'd go out with the one, who's personality is better or at least with the one, who is interesting to hang out with. Yeah. I don't judge people by their looks or preferences.

Just saying emo or preppy isn't a good comparison... there are many types of people. I know people say "oh I hate how people get labled" but think about it, there are labels. Theyr are defined by how we dress, act talk... what we read, eat, do, or even say. "mature" is a label the same as "childish" or "princess" or any thing like that.
The trick is to say you would go out with any one, no matter what their "label" was.
Beeing Bi I get a lot of labels. I'm not Butch, but i'm not really Fem either. I'm not a Lez and I'm not straigth. I was a band geek, and a nerd, and in the anime club. But my best friends were the prom king and queen, foot ball palyers, and the preppy girls, I'm also demi-goth as in part goth... real enough to be goth and not a pozer, but not full goth. I'm not emo though... there is a differance. I am mature and childish, and I love animals and I'm a furry, but i'm not a pervert who wants to have sex with animals. there is a differance.
My fieance is a wrestler... so that would make him a Jock? but he's also a gamer, and some people would call him a perv because he has a fetish. And then there's the whole Jock and Nerd thing going on between us *shrugs* you never know what's going to happen in life, or who you are going to meet.
So in answer to the question.... I would date either of them. It all depends on Who they are not how they dress.

I'd rather go out with a Dark girl. (Or just Goth for those who don't know the true meaning of dark.)
Emo girls annoy the fuck out of me. I find them VERY unattractive, along with the males.
And preps are just irritating as well. Well most of them are anyways.
Besides since I neither Emo/preppy, I'd rather go out with someone who is like me, just dark.
