Not like that. Just go in general. Like how have you managed to attend school day after day?
Sitting over a desk all day and writing hurts so much.

But you still have to lean over your desk and write and consecutive hours of that is quite painful and I'm not used to doing so much at one time.

well, i'm past that now that i am the teacher... lol... XD
but i had no problems with school when i was younger... i don't know, tho i wasn't the nerd, but if there were only two categories of studious or not, then i lean closer to the studious type... well, compared to my friends who never graduated high school or college, i'm definitely studious... XD

I'm so much better. Thursday afternoon I went to the chiropractor and he probably got 20 pops out of my back. He said I'd needed that for a while and that is certainly true. My back didn't even hurt that bad from whiplash.
So I think as long as I go to the chiropractor about two to three times a week I'll be fine.
@xurvette: Well, the tense kind of tension. xD;
It's painful and tight. And I've been dealing with hand/wrist/arm problems this whole year and I got to a point where I couldn't even pick anything up without a lot of pain. I've been a lot better the last couple of months but I find that writing is the most painful thing to do because I can't do it without being tense and I have relearned to do everything else without tension.
@miyu: You're a teacher?
I didn't know that.
What subject do you teach, or do teach all of them?
When I have expectations to meet I'm studious to the point where I stay up all night perfecting something if I have to. But I don't do that since I've been home schooled because I'm not self-motivated. But I am going to attend the little private school for half of the day with my sister and I think that will be best and I know it's going to be hard but I want to be more than ready for college. I'm so glad I don't have to stay the whole day but I'll have to do even more work at home but I didn't want to stay the whole day because I would have to write for hours at a time and I think I'd ruin my hands.
And my hands have got be to almost completely healed for me to play my 20th century piece on piano in a few months. I had to stop it a few months ago because that's when my problems really flared up. But I've been relearning to play without tension like I used to and I've got several solos to work on ( one for each era) for contest in the fall and spring. I've never played competitively so I'm excited. I'll be playing:
baroque- Invention No.8 in F Major by Bach
classical- Sonata K.545 in C (all three movements) by Mozart
romantic- Valse Op.64 No.1 "Minute Waltz" by Chopin
impressionistic- either Reverie or Claire de Lune by Debussy
Modern 20th century- Khachaturian Toccata by Khachaturian
I've never played anything so fast as that Waltz by Chopin is supposed to be played so I'm kind of nervous about getting that one up to speed but it'll be really cool when it's finished. ><

It's getting there. Healing takes time and effort though so I try to be careful. I definitely don't hurt all the time now...just sometimes, but I'm a lot better.

The thing is that once the tendon becomes damaged it takes along time for them to recover. And I'm not quite sure if I had tendinitis or not but the chiropractor said I did. But it hurts like crap. The best thing for it is to not do anything. Just rest it and let it heal. So, I've been laying off the pieces that require octave chords since those are the worst on the hands in any situation plus I have extra small hands. And my modern piece has a lot of those plus a lot of those parts are to be played loudly.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tendinitis
There's more information on it. It's mainly describes as inflammation of the tendon but I didn't notice any inflammation. But just take care of your body and don't do things with tension. Exercising a lot without building up the pace can cause that to. But I got it from always being tense even when I wasn't playing piano. I had an issue with my nervous system where my arms tensed involuntarily all the time so my tendons were being used nonstop in a dangerous way and that sped it up a ton. It's kind of like an OCD thing. I had a twitch in my eyes for like two years which I eventually just had to spend time focusing to not twitch until it left and not long after that the tension went into my arms and I've had to focus on constantly relaxing my arms and everything since that happened and so far every thing's been going fine but it takes a lot of effort to fix things that I didn't even start, but it proves that those things can be stopped by force. But these things aren't fun but must be done if I plan on having any future with music.

but for the most part, i was definitely not the most studious... XD

i'm a math teacher... the past 2 years, i've been teaching algebra 1 and 2... next year, i get to teach geometry (which is probably my favorite)... tho i love to solve proofs, not too sure i would like to "teach" proofs... ^^;

Is teaching fun for you or are your students not a very hardworking bunch?
This morning I worked three straight hours on algebra. It seems like I hardly got anything accomplished because I had to keep reworking problems so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot done tonight though while I'm home I try to work on things that I don't need to score like science where I can find the answer in the text.
Thankfully, I don't have to take another math after geometry because through some of the eleventh grade I'll be working on it. >.> I'm on the second to last algebra 1 book right now and I'll be working through the summer. My sister is one book ahead of me so she can usually help me.
But I'm sure that's a good thing if I want to remember math for college testing.
I'm going to be so busy this next school year...but I'll make it work somehow.
