I have to help out the local sports center in one of the cities. :'D <3<3
Which is fun, since they don't demand so much from us. ^^;;
As long as we do what we're told, we get the rest of the time off. xDD;;

And yeah, I guess...? o_O;;
I'm only on at this time lately, so, yeah, mini-hiatus...? 8DD;;

What kinds of things do you do to help at the center? 8O

Heh~ I see. XD
I should probably go on a mini-hiatus but..
I dunno, just doesn't happen. >O>;

I've been taking a lot of naps this week though.
I don't know why I keep coming back from classes feeling so tired. >^<;

That's cool~
What have you guys been doing? 8D

Okayish.. Though, as of 4pm yesterday, my summer vacation has started. XD
But I've been spending most of it on the laptop, haha,
catching up with art stuff and all. @[email protected];
Then on the 26th, I'll be leaving to Taiwan for pretty much the whole summer. 8O

And us? We just came back from an Indiana Jones-esque adventure trip last weekend. xDD;;
Now, we're just hanging out by visiting places, malls, and partying. ^^;;
It's a lot of fun. :3

Hi, Sakura~ It has been a while since we last spoke. ^ ^
I've been okay as of late, haha. Hope life's been good for you lately? 83

Aww, I would have said hi, but I shouldn't have been online in the first place, should've been working on projects and studying instead. XDD;;

Haha, Indiana Jones-esque adventures sound awesome~ X'D
Are you really close with your cousins?
I have a couple relatives from my mom's side from Canada, but we're not really that close, heh. Most likely due to the fact that they've been over in Canada almost all the years I've known them. I've seen the two cousins once or twice, and supposedly another time when we were little because we were taking a family picture, but I don't remember it. >o>;

Yeah, can't wait to see my grandma~ 8D
I will, it'd be really hard if I didn't have internet access for two to three months, haha. XDD I'll be taking my laptop as well, but my dad has a weird internet thingy at the house, so I can only go online from his laptop. There are internet cafes too, but I've never been to one. >o>

That is good to hear that you been doing alright.

Life has change for me for a bit because I am happy as of right now.

Been with a wonderful boyfriend for about 5 months or so. Work has been doing good and seems not to drag anymore. My artwork has been getting a bit better.

I hope you finish your projects and all that studying.

@ Lura : Lolz, I see. =P Don't overwork yourself with all your projects and schoolwork though! xDD;; <3<3

And yeah, I'm very close with my cousins. ^^;;
It's probably because my parents and their siblings are close with one another, and family gatherings are a norm with us. xDD;;
Plus, I have LOTS of cousins (20 in just my mom's side xDD), so it never gets boring. :3
I guess it's sort of unique to us Filipinos though, who're generally VERY family-oriented, but even so, not many families here are as close as us though. ^^;;

And woah, you've never been to an internet cafe? o_O;;
I'll admit, I don't go to one often, since I only go to them when I have no internet and I'm in desperate need of it for school.
But really... you've never been to one? =O
That's... shocking. xDD;; <3<3

I know, hehe~ XD
But sometimes, the overwork (or almost to the point of overworking) makes up what I think of, of 'school', haha.

I'm a lot closer with my cousins on my dad's side, mostly because they're most likely to be able to speak English (they all can speak English and have either lived in the States since they were born, or eventually moved there). XD I have.. 1, 2.. 11 first cousins on my dad's side, 6 on my mom's side, and sometimes, we get together with second cousins too, haha~ I know what you mean about being very family-oriented that way, I suppose. We used to have huge family get-togethers/reunions in the past, but once a lot of us started growing up and going to college and such, people have just become too busy to all be in one place at the same time. ^ ^;
I dunno if families being very family-oriented is just something for Asians in general, but I realize I don't think about this often enough to be able to tell (if it's Asians in general, or only some Asians).

I've never really found a need to go to one since I've always managed to get internet connection in some way or another, haha~ I might have like, walked into one without really thinking of it as an internet cafe though. XD And on campus, we have several computer labs/centers anyway. XDD

LOLZ. xDD;;
Well, can't argue with that. ^^;;
You should still not overwork yourself though. =P <3<3

Ohh, I see. =O So the whole of your dad's side has moved to the US? Or at least majority of them? If so, it's understandable that you're closer to them, since they're nearer to your vicinity.

And really? =O School, work, and the like don't really keep our family apart, since it's almost a requirement that you attend said gatherings. ^^;; Plus, we always plan around everyone's schedule, to make sure that you ARE available. xDD;; Of course, it's understandable that we can't always be complete, but all of us always make the effort to be together, especially since we're all very close in general. 8DD;;

And hmm... I think Asians in general are more family-oriented than other races, probably because we're more traditional than most other races. =O Although, like you, I can't tell for certain. ^^;; It's just my personal opinion though. xDD;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O Interesting though. xDD;;

Too late, I'm doing just that right now, it seems, haha~ XD
I'm typing up a master list of shop items here, because I always end up having to scan through so many pages in the shops for just one item. After typing it in a notepad file, I can just use the find function and the search would only last a couple seconds. 8D

Most of my dad's side, yes. We all usually come back to Taiwan to visit at some point. In the case of my immediate family, we usually go back once a year. 83 My dad's oldest sister's family lived in Taiwan, and starting around college time, my cousins moved out to the States (close to where I live, too). My oldest cousin from my dad's side recently married, and she's now living in Korea. ^ ^ My dad's youngest sister's family members are the only ones we don't see quite often, because aside from them, we're all pretty much in the same state, pretty much the same county. XD

Haha, I guess my family's not so strict that they're almost required gatherings, but the get-togethers happen probably because we all want a chance to see each other and spend time anyway. XD

I'm glad to have amused you with my lack of internet cafe experience~ XDD

LOLOLZ. xDD;; Rannie is such a busy bee. @[email protected];;
And woah, that's neat. =P I should do that myself, but I'm faarrr too lazy for something so tedious. >.>;; My poor impatient self will implode or something if I even attempted such a feat. xDD;;

And ohh, I understand more clearly now. =O Thankies for explaining it. :3 I can now see why you're closer to your dad's side then. :>
And you're lucky you get to go back to Taiwan once a year. =O I know a lot of people don't have the means to go back to their home country every year. So that must be awesome on your part. :3

And it's actually not that we're strict, but more like... we enjoy each other's company a lot, so we make a real effort to see each other and arrange these said gatherings. xDD;; So, it's pretty nice not to feel forced majority of the time. =P And luckily, we're a happy and interesting bunch, so it's nice and easy when we get together and all. xDD;;
Actually, just tonight, we had another family get-together at my house. ^^;; My family and I showcased the new and improved den area we renovated. :3 So, it was real awesome. :'D <3<3

And lolz, this reminds me of how I supposedly amused you because of the way I spoke or something. xDD;; <3<3

ps: We're slowly building up our text-walling all over again. xDD;; <3<3

Sakura - Yup~ I'm liking this sort of sense of freedom. owo
Days off are awesome things that should happen a tiny bit more often than they do, haha. XD

RyRy - Haha, I'm glad I decided not to do it all in one sitting then. XD
But I got through stores 1 through most of 10 (excluding the event store).
Then again, I've still got Accentuate to go through. That one will almost be murder, I think. XD;

Yeah, going back so often is kind of something I look forward to every year. 83
( Though my sister sometimes doesn't like to, probably because of the heat and nothing much to do. XD; )

Haha, that's good~ I feel like forced gatherings would probably eventually damper family closeness a bit..?
It sounds awesome~ 8D It also reminds me of a friend I have, her family renovated their kitchen (they live in one of those old 19th century houses (fixed up, of course, haha)~ @[email protected]) sort of recently. I especially loved looking at their refrigerator, the door has glass parts so you can see through to what's in the fridge. XD

Likewise~ XD
Haha, yay~ X'D <3

I think you're crazy for even contemplating on doing it all in one sitting. @[email protected];; Lolz. xDD;;
And yeah, Accentuate will be hell frozen over, I think. *__*
Only plus side would be that you have a lot of the same items stuck there, so you can just sorta copy-paste your way to the finish line, or something. xDD;;

And aww, it's nice that you look forward to it. :> <3<3
And really? =O What do you mean there's nothing much to do?
Actually, now that I think about it, I dunno exactly what you can see in Taiwan. xDD;; Never been there, so I wouldn't know. :x
How is Taiwan, anyway? ^^;; Out of curiosity~ xDD;;

And yeah, it would. :x It'd create tension and all, and that does a lot more bad than it does good, I think. ^^;; Luckily we don't have to deal with that problem for now. xDD;;
And oohh, that sounds awesome! :> Sounds like a very neat fridge. 8DD;;

We remodeled our house so that it doesn't look so dull anymore.
Because before, it was mostly very pale wallpaper and everything for a clean look. But when everything started getting dirty, torn, and etc over the years, it didn't look so nice to look at anymore, so we decided to spruce up the house and add lots of warm colors in the walls and our furniture. xDD;;
The second floor is the next step, but it's gonna be so hard, seeing as it has A LOT of stuff in it. @[email protected];; Not to mention everyone's rooms, which will be another hell frozen over to even sort out first... >.>;; Lolz. xDD;;

And why yay? o_O;; I got lost. 8DD;;

Haha, I think I thought about it for a couple seconds, but decided it wouldn't happen. Though I didn't expect that I'd do as much as a did in that one sitting. XDD
Oh, believe me, I've been copy-pasting my way through like, 90% of it. XDD

Because my sister and I have only been there during summer vacations, but when we were younger, our parents never let us walk around much (worried that we'd get lost or something and we wouldn't have a way to contact them), so we don't really know the area (or much of the places we could reach by bus/metro, haha). Thus, we've just been stuck at home most of the time, watching tv, playing games, or surfing the net. XD;;

There's theme parks and theatres and malls (department store buildings) and such, haha~ Mmm.. there's also shopping center-ish places. Basically like two or three streets with lots and lots and lots of shops lined along both sides of the streets, haha. And night markets, very important. XD Dunno if you've heard of them, or have them in the Philippines as well? 8O
Taiwan's pretty interesting once you have places to go, haha. But I like the quiet life of just being at home relaxing too. ^ ^ I think I've also gone to a memorial-ish museum once too, but just once, heh. Oh! There's also Taipei 101. 8D

I was just putting the thought out in general, not specifically directing at your family, haha. XD But it's good that you guys are a fun bunch~
I'd be so amused by it every time I go to pour a glass of milk or something, haha. X'D

Ahaha~ Yeah, I think the clean look would get kind of boring after a while? My own house is pretty much off-white walls everywhere, with sort of off-white carpet and and light pinkish marble-patterned tiling things and wood flooring in various places. Warm colors would bring in a lot of life and comfy feelings~ X3
Haha, yes, I'd imagine remodeling even one room could be a pain from having to move stuff out and clean and such. XD

Yay for text-walling, because I loves it~ 8'D

LOLZ. xDD;; Copy-paste ftw! >83
And yeah, I'm amazed you did so much. =O
... although I already am amazed enough that you even decided to undertake such a daunting and painstakingly difficult eye-sore of a task. xDD;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O
My parents don't let us commute as much outside as well, because public transit isn't as safe here as other places. ^^;; I kinda know how to get around on my own though without a driver or someone to bring me places, but my knowledge is limited to certain areas only, because some places are too far, lolz. xDD;;
And you're stuck at home? :< Don't your relatives take you out to places or something? I keep going out with family now because my relatives from Canada are here on a vacation visit of sorts, and we keep showing them around the city. xDD;;

And ohh, I see, I see. =O <3<3
Yes, we have night markets over here. And malls. LOTS OF MALLS. @[email protected];; I think we hold the record for the most number of malls in a vicinity. I mean, in Metro Manila, which is the capital of the Philippines, we have... 20+ malls. xDD;; Like, 5-10 minutes away from each other, kinda. 8DD;;
And what's Taipei 101? o_O;; Reminds me of our own Divisoria 168, where you can shop and get things for REALLY cheap. xDD;; And when I mean cheap, I mean CHEAP. 8DD;; It's hard to find excellent quality, but you just just gotta know where to look, and you can find lots of very nice pieces there. =P <3<3

And oh! Sorry for the misunderstanding. ^^;; I thought it was directed at me personally. xDD;; But yeah, forced gatherings are never a good thing for any family. Just the implications of the word 'forced' is enough to get the message across. xDD;;

And lolz, I would be amused by it too. ^^;;
I suddenly remember the first time I saw that kind of refrigerator where you can get ice cubes and crushed ice. That was a long time ago though. xDD;; But I can still remember how I would always press the buttons and get ice, even if I didn't need it, just so that I could marvel at how awesome and amazing it all was. 8DD;;

Yeah, the house definitely has a warmer and cozier feel to it now. :3 And it's a lot more colorful, definitely. xDD;; I mean, we have yellow walls, an orange wall, a red room, and... yeah. @[email protected];; It all is now so... sunny. ^^;; Yeah, sunny is the term for it. Maybe we were inspired y summer or something, lolz. 8DD;;

And yeah, it's gonna be a big pain in the ass to remodel. @[email protected];; My room especially, since I have LOADS of junk in there. xDD;; I think we'll be doing my brother's and my study area/computer room first though, since it's the least personal of the rooms up on the second floor, and also the one with the least amount of stuff in it. xDD;;

And oh! I see. :3 Yeah, text-walling is fun~ 8DD;; And a good gold-earner too. xDD;; <3<3
