Yikes! Sounds nasty Sil! I'm in tooth pain so I can sympathize. I would send you some of the drugs the doctor gave me that take away nausea and fever but you might be on the other side of the world!

Clock: Take it out on time. I sure he wont mind. That is a sucky situation to be in too. Drinking should never come first.

I never could understand how people could be the reason to prevent you from doing something and then turn around and get angry at everyone else over it.

Clock: That is the right attitude. I have watched alcohol eat away at my friends and my family for years. I have had enough. It should be ILLEGAL but no, people can't give up the vice. It's just not worth it. I have seen people put the drink before feeding and clothing their children. I have seen their children carrying the parent to bed after they have collapsed from drinking only to be beaten for their help. Makes me sick to my stomach that people condone this kind of thing!

It is a shame that there are people that do that, but there's a difference between drinking and being a drunk. Not every one who drinks is that irresponsible and heartless. ;< But I do wish there was something that could be done to prevent that.

Ah, yes, other side of the world indeed. I live in Holland.

Onto drinking: Personally, I do not see a big problem with someone drinking a single glass of wine or beer with dinner, or even two... but people should know when to stop. Unfortunately, most people do not know that.

Oh well, all that resting did at least one good thing. My fever went down from 101.6 F to 100.7.

I drink from time to time with my friends but I have never been drunk.. And we have a rule that once any type of alchohol is opened everyone stays at the house regardless if they are drinking or not unless someone outside of the house comes to get them

But it would never come before feeding my family.

Muse: Yeah it's okay lol. A bit sad and boring. We actually do crime for fun here, can you believe that? Hence our incredible boy racing and drinking and pot smoking culture. But if you come as a tourist, sure, nice place lol.

ClockNonReject: Indeed. There also is a difference between drinking at dinner or at late evening/night or doing so at a time where you have other responsibilities, such as making sure there is food at home, showing up at work and so on.

Yeah, I wouldn't let drinking come before my kids. As for the drinking part, I'm fine with someone drinking one or two drinks. But to get totally wasted, no. :/ They act crazy and all then I feel bad for when they sober up and don't remember what stupid stuff they did the night before.

Best not to tell them in many cases. Because if you were sober "you were ment to be watching me!" you know?

A lot of the US is that way, as I'm sure other countries are. :< Every place has its negatives.

And of course, the most stupid thing you can do is drinking when you are supposed to be driving afterwards.

Yeah. I haven't had someone tell me that yet but it could happen. "I did what? Why didn't you keep a better eye on me?!" -.- "Because you're the one who had to drink."

I can't understand why some people take drinking that far. It's not a sport, you never win. I don't see what's so funny about waking up in a puddle of your own puke. >_>;

Boy Racing: It's a stupid term we use to describe our petrol heads. It makes headlines around the world apparently. In my city (which is notoriously the worst) they do laps of our city centre and go round and round and round picking up girls who like their cars, drinking, throwing bottles and punches and such. Have a look for yourself. It's actually kinda fun lol. Got out of all that a long while back though. Now they are making lunch boxes of your car on the side of the road if it's illegal in any way.
