Kyran looked between Aamori and Kanone for a moment and then smiled when Kanone had waved to him as well. He was a bit surprised to see Kanone here, it was quite unexpected. "Hey." He paused. "Yesterday? You've been here since yesterday?" He asked. Well he and Hikari had spent the whole day in bed yesterday so they wouldn't have known that he'd arrived. "How long are you staying?" He asked curiously. Of course he thought that Kanone was probably only here to visit and get away so he really hadn't even thought that Kanone was planning to tag along with them on their trip.
Aamori smiled and would've waved back to Hikari and Kyran but both of her hands were full at the moment. She glanced between Hikari and Kyran and then noticed their hands and smiled a bit more. She had been guessing that there was something between them but she didn't remember seeing them holding hands like that before. It was kind of cute. She stood there for a moment and then glanced back down at her and Kanone's hands. Her cheeks tinted pink slightly since she saw that he still hadn't let her hand go, not that she really minded but what must that have looked like to them? She shook her head slightly and lifted her eyes. "So.. where were you two headed?"
LaRae was finally getting around to getting out of the bath. She was actually enjoying just soaking in the water after she'd cleaned herself up but she did want to get back to Nanashi. After all she had said she wouldn't be long. She grabbed her towel on her way out and wrapped it around her tightly while she headed back over behind the screen. She wasted very little time snatching up another towel so that she could twist her hair up in it. Once she'd gotten the majority of her hair up on her head in the towel she reached for her clothes and started to dust them off a little before putting them back on. After she was dressed she knelt down to pick up her leather arm bands that she usually wore and noticed that the letter from her foster parents must have fallen out of her pocket when she picked up her pants. She sighed softly and picked it up, stuffing it back into her pocket before grabbing her arm bands. She didn't bother putting them back on right now. It'd probably do her some good to keep to them off for a little while. Lastly she stepped back over to the shelf that the towels went on and picked up her choker. She stared at it for a moment and then lifted it up to her neck and snapped it back on. She then reached up to the towel and started to dry out her hair a little before taking it and the other one and dropping it in what she hoped was a laundry basket of some sort. She stared at it for a moment after she saw the towels drop down the chute and then turned and started for the door. She slipped back into the hall and gasped quietly when she felt the cold stone on her bare feet. That was definitely a change from the warm floor in the baths. She walked fairly quickly to get back to their room and then quietly opened the door to go inside. Once she had shut the door behind her she glanced to the bed to see how Nanashi was.

Kanone smiled again and nodded slightly. "Yup. I got here yesterday evening." he said lightly, "The only people I got to see yesterday were Aamori, Cel, and LaRae. Oh and Hisako and Yoichi. I had to bring Kyiri with me, too... And apparently I have a new pet." he said as he glanced over to Aamori since she was probably the only one who knew what he was talking about. He grinned when Kyran asked how long he was staying, "As long as you are I guess. I'm tagging along with you guys. I want to make sure Cel gets home in one piece personally." he said before he rubbed the back of his head lightly, "Well...that and sitting at the house all day with nothing to do was about to drive me up the wall."
Hikari smiled slightly when she noticed the way that Kanone and Aamori were still holding hands, but she didn't comment on it. She was a bit surprised to hear that Kanone was here since yesterday, though she wasn't surprised that she hadn't known since she hadn't even left her room yesterday. She smiled again when he said that he'd had to bring Kyiri with him. Well, Celestine would probably like that. She tilted her head slightly when he said that he apparently had a new pet. She was about to ask about that, but Kyran beat her with the topic of how long he was staying. She just smiled again and then glanced over to Kyran when Kanone said that he was tagging along and then her eyes went back to Kanone again. "Really? Well that's...haha wow." She shook her head slightly and then glanced to Aamori and smiled. "We were heading down to the beach." she responded lightly. After a moment she let go of Kyran's hand and then scooted a little closer to Aamori before she bent close to her ear. "Why are you blushing?" she whispered and then giggled softly. She couldn't resist the urge when she saw the color in Aamori's face from before.
Nanashi was still just laying int he bed with his eyes close. He had rolled onto his side so that he was facing the door, but he hadn't fallen asleep yet, though he was right on the verge when the door opened. He forced his eyes open a crack and looked up to LaRae with a weak smile when he saw her come back. "...Feel better?" he asked quietly as he moved to push himself up on his elbows again. He still couldn't get over that urge to at lest sit up when someone was in the room with him, even if it was LaRae.

Kyran listened to Kanone while he answered his questions and was a bit surprised hearing that he was going to tagging along for the length of the trip. His reasons didn't surprise him really but this was going to be a pretty long trip and if you weren't forced into going than he didn't see where anyone would really want to. He shook his head lightly. "I guess you didn't trust all of us take good care of your cousin?" He asked with a quiet laugh. They'd all done a fine job making sure that everyone was still in one piece but even so he couldn't resist the urge to make that comment. "Oh... and you have a new pet? Wasn't taking care of Kyiri hard enough?" He asked since he hadn't asked about the pet he made mention of before.
Aamori listened quietly to everything that was being said between them and then looked at Hikari when she was answering the question she had asked. She smiled a little hearing that they were headed to the beach too. She watched when Hikari started to come closer to her. She stood there and listened to what Hikari whispered in her ear. After a moment her eyes widened slightly and the color in her cheeks worsened. Since she could feel the warmth of her cheeks she lowered her head a little. She was embarrassed that Hikari noticed and even more so that she'd come over to ask why she blushing. She continued to stand there for a moment without even saying a word and then started to turn back towards the water. "...We're all going to the beach ...right?"
LaRae smiled when she saw Nanashi was laying in bed. She started to move away from the door and then nodded when he asked if she was feeling better. "Yes, actually." She answered quietly. "You don't need to sit up." She added quickly. "Just lay back down." She said as she walked over to her side of the bed and started to set down her arm bands. She then took out the comb that she'd claimed earlier and started to work on her hair. She was sure it was a mess after that bath and the towel dry. She was going to make sure that she got all of the knots out before she laid down on it. She was quite surprised though once she started running the comb through her hair. That shampoo really helped to make it easier to manage, not to mention her hair was a lot softer than usual. It was kind of nice and the bath was actually very pleasant and a lot more comfortable than a wash tub. She continued to run the comb through her hair and looked down at Nanashi. "...How are you feeling now that you've eaten?" She asked quietly.

Kanone smiled and nodded, "Oh sure sure, I trust you guys. It's him I'm worried about." he said with a soft laugh, "I just wanted to come along, you know...just in case." he said with a slight laugh. He shook his head when Kyran asked about the pet and then smiled slightly. "Well yeah, but apparently that set of blades that I dug out of my closet came with an attachment." he responded with a slight smile. "Her name's Esen... She followed me all the way to the building, and then I guess Cel finally talked her off of the roof. She's kind of skittish..." he explained, "But...yeah, looks like Nobu has a friend."
Hikari smiled at Aamori's reaction and then chuckled softly while resting her hand on her shoulder. "Yes, I guess we are." She looked over to Kanone when she caught what he was saying about the blades and the attachment. "You have a set of those blades?" she asked as she pulled her hand away from Aamori's shoulder. She glanced back to Kyran for a moment and then stepped back to stand beside him again.
Kanone nodded and then glanced over to Aamori again, finally releasing her hand so he could put his hands on his hips. "Guess so. Kyran's going to have to be a pal and fill me in because I have no idea what's going on." He said lightly, "Buuuut that can wait. Come on, lets get going." he said as he gave Aamori a nudge.
Nanashi smiled when she said that she felt better and then sighed softly when she told him that he didn't have to sit up. He stayed where he was for a moment and then finally lowered himself back to the bed again. He watched her move over to the bed to lay down her arm bands and then rolled over a little so that he could face her again. He smiled again when she asked how he was feeling after eating. "...Well....my throat feels a little better for now..." he said quietly, "...Other than that I think it depends on which way I turn..." As long as he was laying still he felt find but certain ways he moved he felt sick. He'd just eaten a little too much too fast trying to to finish so he could lay down again.

Kyran shook his head lightly after Kanone said he was worried about Celestine and that he wanted to come just in case. "I think your worry may be a little misplaced." He commented. Celestine seemed to be able to handle himself just fine, at least in his opinion. After all he walked away from the fight with Nerian without a scratch and the only reason the Hydra had managed to hurt him so badly was because he'd stepped in to save Aamori. If Aamori hadn't frozen like she had, Celestine probably would've came away from that fight a little better than he had. Though, he'd never say that to Aamori. Not after the way she acted after all of that. He tilted his head slightly when Kanone explained about the pet. He was honestly surprised to hear that Kanone had a set of blades too. He'd never met anyone else who had a set and the only other set he knew were out and about where the set that came with that earth canine, Gesa. He shook his head slightly. "You dug the blades out of your closet?" He sighed softly. "I bet this, Esen, was real happy knowing her blades were in a closet." He muttered quietly. He glanced over to Hikari briefly and then looked back at Kanone when he said that he had no idea what's going on. "...I guess I can be a pal, though I have a feeling it will be more for Esen's sake than your own." He said with a soft sigh. He could just imagine what it was like for Esen trying to watch over a set of blades who belonged to someone who didn't have the faintest clue about them. Nobu was difficult enough sometimes to deal with when it came to the blades. He nodded a bit when Kanone said lets get going and gave Aamori a nudge. As soon as they started he'd follow.
Aamori continued to stand there quietly at least until she felt Kanone release her hand. She shifted slightly and glanced down when her hand dropped back to her side. Well at least maybe the color would leave her cheeks quicker. She hadn't been paying attention to what they were talking about, she was kind of off in her own little world so she jumped slightly when Kanone nudged her. She started to glance at him but stopped. She shifted the bag she was carrying to the hand that he had been holding and then started to walk since she assumed that meant they were ready to go. She walked with a slight scurry and headed towards the docks only to turn to the right just before them to slip behind the first district and straight onto the sand. It really was easy to get to the beach, but that was only because there was so much of it and it surrounded the whole island. She continued across the sand a bit until she wasn't so close to the docks and then came to a stop and lifted her eyes to look at the water.
LaRae finished up with her hair and set the comb down on the night stand beside her arm bands and then moved closer to the bed and set a knee down on it. She smiled down at him after he told her how he felt. "I'm glad your throat feels a little better." She said as she started to crawl onto the bed carefully. "Later, if your throat still hurts... we've still got that stuff Aamori gave you." She reminded him and then laid herself down on the bed so that she was facing him.

Kanone stayed to follow after Aamori when she started to scurry off and then sighed heavily. "...Well where else was I supposed to put them? I didn't even know that those guardian things existed until you came along, she was never around when dad had them...well not that I noticed. If she didn't like them in the closet you'd think she would have come and complained." he said with a sigh as he looked away again. "Maybe I should have just brought a spear..." he mused quietly. "I'm better with those anyway..." He sighed and shook his head again as they came out of the first district and started down to the beach. His eyes nearly lit up when he caught sight of the beach and he suddenly moved ahead of Kyran and caught up with Aamori where she stood and stared out over the water. "Wow... The view's even better from over here." He moved a little closer to the water and looked around a little. He smiled slightly and looked on down the beach, "I bet gramps would love this..." Marius was a little like Celestine in some cases; he loved wide open spaces. He was pretty sure a beach in front of an ocean on an island was about as wide open as it got.
Hikari chuckled softly to herself when Aamori started to scurry off. She didn't know if Aamori was just embarrassed because they caught them holding hands or if there was a little more going on than that. She shook her head and then glanced over to Kanone while he continued talking to Kyran, though for once she kept her questions and comments to herself. She wondered how Esen could have complained, but she assumed he meant something along the lines of whining at his door or something. She shook her head when Kanone ran off ahead of them and then smiled slightly. "...Well someone's excited." she said with a soft laugh. Kanone looked like a kid who'd just stepped into a candy store when he stepped out onto the beach.
Nanashi nodded slightly to LaRae when she said that she was glad his throat was better. "Mm-hmm..." he muttered softly. He glanced toward the container that Aamori had given him and then sighed softly, "I'll be alright... We probably shouldn't use all of that stuff..." he said quietly. He looked at her when she laid down in the bed beside him and smiled weakly as he sniffed the air. "...You smell nice." he said quietly. He could still smell her freshly washed hair since it was still kind of damp.

Kyran shook his head lightly. "If Esen is skittish than I'm not all that surprised she didn't come around you. Especially if your Father never properly introduced you two." He guessed if the blades weren't in any real danger then they were safe in a closet and honestly, who would think to look in a closet for something so priceless? "Kanone, you've got a lot to learn about those blades..." He commented hearing him say that maybe he should've brought a spear. If Kanone had left that village for any questionable length of time there was no guarantee that Esen and the blades would still have been there when he got back. He put that aside for now. There was going to be plenty of time to talk to Kanone about the blades. Right now he was a little more interested in enjoying the beach while they were here. He glanced to Hikari when she made mention of someone being excited and smiled a little. "Kind of reminds me of the day we met and you got to escape Ishta for awhile." He paused. "You were in such a hurry to get out of there." He said with a soft chuckle.
Aamori smiled seeing how Kanone reacted to seeing the beach and it's view. She liked sharing this with others, especially when they seemed to really like it. By now, after looking at the water and all she'd relaxed a bit and the color in her cheeks had faded. She continued to stand where she was and looked at Kanone. "I'm surprised that you didn't bring him with you." She commented when he mentioned his grandfather. She finally knelt down, setting the bag on the sand and then moved to unbuckle her sandals. She hadn't felt the sand on her feet in awhile so she thought she'd take advantage of the opportunity. Once her sandals were off she left beside her bag and then took a few steps towards Kanone before passing him so that she could get her feet wet. She stared down at her feet while the waves washed over them and then sank back. She really did love how blue the water was here and the fact that you could usually always see through it.
LaRae sighed softly when he said that they probably shouldn't use all of that stuff. "Nanashi... if your throat hurts and that stuff helps... don't be afraid to use it." She paused. "I'm pretty sure that there is more of it." She said quietly. She stared at him for a moment after he said that she smelt nice and then she blushed lightly and smiled a little. "...Thank you." She mumbled quietly. After a moment she started to burrow her face into the pillow. She was pretty sure that was the first time that he'd ever said that she smelt nice and the first she'd ever heard it from anyone so she couldn't help the color in her cheeks.

Kanone had already gathered there was a lot about the blades that he didn't know but he was sure he could get the lecture later. Right now the blades were in the room with everyone else, so he wasn't too worried about them. He glanced over to Aamori when she said that she was surprised that he hadn't brought him with him. "Heh heh, why, because I brought everyone else?" he asked playfully. "...I'm coming with you for the length of the trip, remember? I know he's pretty feisty, but he's still an old man and one of the elders to boot. He couldn't make the trip, that's why he sent me." he smiled slightly, "We were both sitting around being worry warts, and I kept complaining about wanting to go so he finally told me to get lost before you guys got too far ahead." He hadn't even thought about having any free time here. He had gathered that they were on an important mission so he hadn't really thought of this as a vacation and apparently neither had Marius. This really was the perfect place if anyone ever wanted to get out of their territory though.
Hikari laughed softly as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "Could you blame me?" she asked softly, "You met. She's like a guard dog, she barks at anyone who gets too close and it is near impossible to have any fun with her telling me to 'act like a lady in public.'" she rolled her eyes slightly and shook her head. "You know, no running around, climbing people like trees..." she giggled softly. I guess she just expects me to walk around like this all of the time." she said as she stepped ahead of Kyran again, keeping her chin pointed up slightly and her arms flowing gracefully down at her sides while she moved forward gracefully on her toes, almost as if she were floating. As soon as she stepped past the shadows of the houses and out into the sunlight again her hair started to shine the way that it always did and her skin sparkled like marble in the sun while her scales lit up almost like diamonds. It was the usual thing whenever she was exposed to direct light, but the way that she moved at the time made it all the more dazzling. The effect was ruined fairly quickly when she stepped into the sand and felt the ground shift beneath her wight. "Neyaahh!!" she yelped as he lost her balance and toppled over. She sighed heavily and then shook her head as she pushed her hair back over her shoulders again. "...It's a lot easier to walk like that when the ground isn't moving..." she grumbled under her breath while looking a little on the pouty side.
Nanashi watched her as her cheeks turned colors and the tried to hide her face int he pillow, but he just smiled warmly. "...Are you going to do that every time I compliment you?" he asked quietly as he reached over to her face, caressing her cheek with his cool hand. "...It's cute." he said quietly. He smiled again and then closed his eyes for a moment before he forced them open again. He was getting tired again already, but he didn't want to go back to sleep yet. That was about all he'd done since he'd been put in the bed. He slipped his hand away from LaRae's cheek and pushed it back through her hair instead before he laid it back on the bed in front of his face. "...I'm really glad to have met all of you, but especially you...LaRae..." he whispered.

Aamori glanced over to Kanone for a moment and smiled slightly. "But you didn't bring everyone else. You left a whole village of people back home." Of everyone that was still in Caledonia she could honestly only think of two people who would probably like it here and one of them was a bit too young to travel on her own. Even now she still kind of felt sorry for Yu, since she didn't have anyone who wanted to play with her. At least here in Kairava there were plenty of children who loved the water and would be more than willing to play with her even if she was hard to catch when playing tag. That reminded her... she needed to work on learning the ability to breath under water or else she'd never be able to play tag with Yu again. For now she shook the thought from her head and focused on Kanone again. "...I hadn't meant for the whole trip, Kanone." She paused. "Marius probably could've used a vacation and Kairava is pretty nice this time of the year. The mornings and evenings are pretty chilly and the days are warmer with the sun out and there is a constant breeze because of the sea air... It's kind of an ideal place to relax and we've got free time here and there so it isn't like it's all work and no play." She said and then jumped back slightly when she felt the wave splash up a bit higher than she'd liked. She shivered for a brief moment and then looked back at Kanone once she was away a bit farther from the waves reach. "Marius could've come just to relax and see Kairava and then gone back to Caledonia once we needed to move on or once he was ready to leave." She paused and chuckled lightly. "There's even a special vacation-like house that's set up especially for Elders visiting from other clans." The Water clan may not have gotten along with all of the clans, but they were kind of like a resort in some sense of the word. They didn't mind accommodating the other Elders unless they were from the Fire or Thunder clans. Then they were awfully skeptical but other than that they usually didn't mind. They sometimes worried about the Dark clan as well, just because it was the Dark clan but they'd be more inclined to let an Elder from the Dark clan stay here than one from the Fire.
Kyran laughed quietly at Hikari saying that he and Ishta had met. "I don't know if I'd really consider saying something polite to try and cover your ass and then reminding her that there was a meeting to get to, meeting her." He paused. "I doubt the woman could ever remember my name." He added and then shook his head with a smile when she made the comment of climbing people like trees. Yes, well, he guessed what she did earlier could be considered like climbing a tree with the exception that this so called tree could easily have fallen over if she wasn't careful. He continued to walk, pausing a moment when she stepped past him and started showing how she was supposed to walk. That was definitely different from her usual walk, though it was a sight to behold especially when she made it out of the shadows and she started to glow for lack of better words. He smiled and had started to follow after her again though he rather quickly found himself trying to grab for her when she started to fall after stepping onto the sand. Unfortunately he didn't reach her before she fell and he sighed softly as he stepped across the sand over to her. He looked down at her and offered his hand to help her to her feet. "You know... that was actually a beautiful sight up until you felt the need to meet the sand personally." He said with a soft chuckle. "Well... at least the sand is soft, right?"
LaRae had managed to hide half of her face at least before he asked if she was always going to do that. She stared at him with the one eye that wasn't hidden by the pillow and then smiled a bit when she felt his hand against her cheek. Hearing the cute comment really only made the color in her cheeks worsen. She shut her eyes gently and smiled more when he ran pushed his hand through her hair. Her eyes opened slowly when she heard him start to say that he was glad to have met all of them. Again, the color in her cheeks worsened at his last whispered comment. She laid there for a moment and then lifted her hand up and gently set it down over top of his, lightly lacing her fingers between his and then moving his hand down a little so she could see his face better. "I'm glad I met you, too." She replied and then pushed herself up slightly with her other hand. She inched a bit closer to him and then lightly pressed her lips to his. Once she had pulled away she set her head back down on the pillow and just smiled softly.

Kanone shook his head slightly and sighed, "Oh I'm sure there are several people who would have liked to come. Mariah was trying to follow me when she heard I was going after Celestine so I had to ditch her somewhere back there." he shook his head slightly and then sighed softly. "Well...if I'd thought about it I guess I could have asked him to come... but I didn't know what you guys were going to be doing or anything, so I was kind of just in a hurry to catch up." He continued to stare out over the water for a moment and then glanced back to Aamori and smiled slightly. "Could he still come?" he asked curiously, "Like if you invited him or something? He could probably use it by now...and that is one person I'm pretty sure Celestine would be glad to see." He chuckled softly, "...Though getting Gramps down here would be another story. I don't think the man's ever taken a vacation in his life."
Hikari looked at Kyran's hand when he reached out to her and then sighed softly as she reached up to take it. She chuckled softly as she got back to her feet and then shook her head. "Yeah...soft." she released his hand long enough to dust off her clothes and dangs and then sighed again. "Yes well, it's supposed to look beautiful... Appearance is all that matters in my world." she said as she made a face while sticking out her tongue. "I'm sure you will get to see what I mean..." She honestly had no intention of staying at the castle if she could help it, but she was going to have to go there in order to get to the library. The plan was to leave the others somewhere, go back, sneak in, find what she needed, and sneak back out again so she could meet up with them, but she was sure if she was caught they probably weren't going to let her leave again, at least not looking the way she had for the last few days. Then she guessed they would all get to spend some time at the castle and her four day plan would probably be extended for a while. "Eh..." she shook her head again and then smiled as she reached for Kyran's hand and pulled him closer to the area where Aamori and Kanone were. "Come on."
Nanashi smiled slightly when she put her hand on his and then let her move his hand out of the way of his face. His smile broadened slightly when she said that she was glad to have met him, too. He sighed softly and closed his eyes until he felt her moving and then he looked up to her again while she pressed her lips against his. He felt the heat rise up in his cheeks, though with his coppery completion it was hard to see his blush. He stared at her for a moment and then averted his eyes with a smile. "...Now I'm blushing..." he said quietly.

Aamori rolled her eyes when he brought up that girl. She shook her head and looked back at the water. "...Lets just hope you lost her far enough away that she can't figure out how to get here on her own." The last thing she wanted was Mariah finding her way here or if Marius did want to come, her finding him and following him. She really didn't care for that girl and she wouldn't put it past her to manage to sweet talk her way past the guards. She shifted her glance back to Kanone when he started to ask if his grandfather could still come. She nodded lightly. "Of course he could still come." She paused. "He doesn't even really need an invite from me, considering who he is." She smiled slightly and shook her head slightly. "If you think it'd be hard to get him to come you could always do to him what you did to Celestine." She paused and chuckled quietly. "You know, make him believe that someone he really cares about is sick."
Kyran laughed softly. "Oh yeah... that's real beautiful..." He commented after she stuck her tongue out. "I've been to Glenys before, I think I have some idea what you're talking about." He paused. "Though I have never been up close and personal with your world." He said as he looked at her. He had been to Glenys on business but he never really got a close look at any of the royals. If he ever saw them it would've more than likely been at a distance. He looked down at his hand when Hikari reached for it and started to pull him. He smiled slightly and didn't give any resistance.
LaRae continued to keep a hold of his hand while she laid there. She smiled and then chuckled quietly when he said that now he was blushing. "With your skin color, you're lucky... I can't really tell." She said quietly and gave his hand a light squeeze. "I kind of wish that I could hide my blush behind the color of my skin." She paused. "Unfortunately I have to settle for hiding behind my hair."

Kanone smiled and then laughed softly, "I guess so...but even if she did follow me I doubt she got past the gates." He glanced over to her again and then chuckled, "You really don't like her, do you? Afraid she's going to steal your boyfriend?" he asked playfully. He had noticed a bit of chemistry between her and Celestine, but he also thought he felt a bit between them as well. Or he could have been completely and entirely mistaken, he didn't really know. "Yeah I guess I could do that again, couldn't I?" he said with a soft laugh, "But I think he would beat me and then leave Celestine to finish cleaning up." he mused with another soft chuckle. "Haha I wouldn't even know how to get a message to him from here without going back there myself, that in itself could take forever." He shook his head slightly, "Don't suppose you have any carrier pidgins, do you?" he asked with another laugh.
Hikari laughed softly as she pulled Kyran along the beach and then glanced back to him briefly before she looked over toward Aamori and Kanone. She smiled slightly and tugged him a little further down the beach before she stopped again and let go of his hand while she unzipped her boots one at a time and pulled them off so she could walk in the sand barefoot. She chuckled softly and set her boots down right there before she danced away from Kyran playfully and then looked back at him again, tilting her head slightly as if asking if hew as going to join her.
Nanashi smiled weakly and shook his head slightly when she said that he was lucky to be able to hide behind his skin. "...Why hide at all?" he asked quietly when she said that she had to hide behind her heir. "...It's really cute." he gave her hand a little squeeze before he pulled her hand closer to his face and leaned his cheek against the back of her hair, nuzzling it lightly. He glanced up to her face again and smiled slightly before he brushed his lips against the back of her hand. "...I love you..." he whispered to her quietly in her own tongue.

Aamori was about to answer Kanone when he asked about her not liking that girl but she stopped and stood there with her mouth hanging open slightly for a moment because of his second question. She was quiet for a moment while she blushed lightly and then she shook her head quickly. "N-no, of course not! I don't have a boyfriend." She said quickly. It was kind of like Kanone had said though. She didn't like Mariah at all and she didn't like seeing Mariah all over Celestine like that time in Caledonia but by no means was he her boyfriend. Maybe she shouldn't care any more since Celestine only thought of her as a sister anyway. She crossed her arms over her chest loosely and then sighed as the color faded from her face just about as fast as it had appeared. Well, she liked Kanone too and at least it looked like he probably liked her back. She glanced over at him briefly after he asked if there were carry pigeons. "...The closest thing we have to a carrier pigeon is Zale." She paused. "Seagulls and pelicans don't exactly deliver messages very well..." She answered. "Zale is pretty good at delivering messages. Although... unless he travels mostly by water he's not very fast."
Kyran followed her until she let go of his hand and started to take off her boots. He smiled slightly after she started dancing away from him. When she looked back at him he stared at her for a moment and then sighed softly. "Alright.. alright.." He said with a soft laugh while he knelt down to take his boots off. If he was going to go any further on the beach he really didn't need to get a bunch of sand in his boots. It'd take forever to get all of the sand out. He untied them and then slipped out of them before setting them off near Hikari's. He started to follow after her though he was walking rather than moving like she was.
LaRae couldn't help the color hitting her cheeks again when he said it was cute, again. She smiled softly when he brought her hand closer to his face and nuzzled it. She blushed a little more when she felt his lips against the back of her hand and then heard what he had whispered. She wasn't even paying attention at first so she barely noticed that he'd said it in her tongue. When it finally clicked her eyes widened slightly and the color in her cheeks worsened a little. "...I-I love you, too..." She responded in her native tongue. She assumed that he must have been able to understand it since he could speak it. She was awfully surprised by hearing him since she hadn't thought he'd known how to speak her language too.

Kanone half smiled and then laughed softly her her reaction to the boyfriend comment. He shook his head slightly and then sighed. "Hmm...Well I guess Zale would work...or I might be able to talk Esen into it..." he said thoughtfully. He shook his head, "That is if I can prey her away from Celestine long enough... She was in there with him when he came in, I doubt I'll be able to get her without waking him up, and I'd rather he didn't know about it." he said with a weak smile. He thought for a moment and then sighed, "Well...there is that lake that stream that runs through the village, but I have no idea where it comes in from." He sighed and then shrugged slightly. "Well...either way..." He glanced back over to her and grinned slightly. "So what was with that blush before? You sure you don't have your eye on someone?" he teased.
Hikari laughed softly while he took off his boots and waited patiently for him to get a move on before she took his hand again and pulled him down closer to the water, staying just out of it's reach. She looked back up to him again and smiled warmly before she tugged him up beside her and continued forward, holding onto his hand. "...I've never been to a beach before. Well nothing like this." she said as she looked around. Her eyes caught on the tail end of a shell sticking up out of the sand and she stopped to kneel down, releasing Kyran's hand while she reached down to pull the rest of it out of the sand. She stared at the smooth white shell and then smiled when she turned it over to look at the inside where the light made everything seem different colored, almost like a pearl coat. She giggles and held it up toward Kyran. "Isn't it pretty?" she asked.
Nanashi smiled again when she responded to him and then nodded slightly while nuzzling against her hand a little more. "...I know." he responded quietly, still in her native language, though the instant his finished speaking his mouth opened wide in another yawn. If LaRae was looking she probably could have nearly seen down his throat when he yawned since he didn't have the time or the hands to cover it with. His throat would still probably look very red and raw if one could see that far back. He sighed softly and smiled weakly before he slipped his head off of her hand and back onto the pillow. "Sorry..." he said quietly, speaking once again in the common tongue. He closed his eyes again and sighed softly before he licked his lips a little, still tasting the soup from earlier as his forked tongue ran over his lips in an attempt to moisten them a little.

Aamori nodded slightly. Zale would probably work to get there and back without being noticed, well, by Celestine anyway. Nobu was fast, the fastest on land anyway but he was always glued to Celestine and now Esen seemed to be jumping on that bandwagon. She did agree though, she didn't think that Celestine should know about it if at all possible. At least this time maybe it would actually be a pleasant surprise for him. She looked back to him when he started to remind her about the lake and the stream that ran through the village. She'd already forgotten about that. Not so much the lake itself; Too much had happened there for her to easily forget that but the stream on the other hand... She didn't seem too worried about it after giving it a little thought. "I'm pretty confident that Zale can find where the two bodies of water connect. After all he was found in the ocean, so I'm sure he knows his way around pretty well." She said with a slight nod. "I can ask to borrow him from the guards for a little while and he can run the message. Then he can come back through the water the way he went and Marius can get here whichever way he prefers." She knew that if Zale went he couldn't possibly do the trip with Marius because he couldn't run the terrain like Nobu and there was no way she'd expect Marius to carry the weight of any of these canine's. She started to look back out at the water again; She was starting to think she'd gotten off scot-free from the usual teasing since he hadn't said anything yet. Boy was she wrong. She automatically started to look back over at him but caught herself and stared at the ground for a moment. She could already feel her cheeks warming over again. At times like this she really hated that she blushed as easily as she did. She stood there quietly for a moment thinking that she just wanted to move somewhere that maybe he wouldn't be able to see her cheeks, at least until the color faded and or he was done teasing her on this particular subject. "...What blush?" She paused and shook her head a little. "I think the sea air has finally gotten to you. You've gotta be hallucinating." She said quietly and then started to take a couple steps towards the water again. She'd already prepped her feet for what she was going to do while she had been standing there quietly. Since it didn't take barely any magic at all it easily went unnoticed. A moment later she did just like before when she showed Hikari and stepped up on top of the water and then took another couple of the steps as if walking on the waves was nothing at all. To her at least it was nothing, something you learned at a young age to entertain yourself. Now that she was a few feet away and on the water no less, she thought he wouldn't be able to see her face thus giving her time for the newly found color to fade. There just was no way that she was admitting to him whether or not she'd had her eye on someone.
Kyran easily enough went where ever Hikari pulled him. He smiled when she had said that she'd never been to a beach like this before. It was nice seeing her completely worry free. He was actually a little surprised she still had a head full of hair with all the worrying she did all of the time. A normal person probably would've yanked it all out by now. He stopped when she did and looked down to her after she had released his hand and was pulling something out of the sand. He watched her for a moment and then smiled when she held the shell up towards him so he could see it while asking if it was pretty. She really did do a good job of leaving openings for him to flatter her. He nodded his head lightly and was about to open his mouth to say something about her being prettier than the shell but his eyes caught something digging up out of the sand near her tail. It was kind of hard for him to see since what ever it was seemed to be just about the same white color of the sand. He tilted his head slightly and before he caught onto what it was it had already popped out of the sand and clamped down on the end of her tail. What he hadn't noticed was that another one, exactly the same in color apparently had started to dig out of the sand seconds later than the first. Both had clamped down onto her tail almost simultaneously while they had started to fight over who got the shiny thing. He just stared down at her tail blankly for a moment while the two sand crabs seemed to have pretty firm hold of the end. He lifted his eyes slightly to see her reaction and say something but couldn't seem to get any words to come out since he'd literally just watched the crabs do that.
LaRae was still taken back by his ability to speak and understand the earth clan's language. She remembered him freaking Celestine and Kanone out a little the first time he shared that he was bilingual but she'd never guessed that branched out to her language too. It didn't bother her any, in fact that meant that she could say things to him that the others couldn't understand. If she really wanted to. Then again, that also meant that he'd be able to understand anything that was said between her and anyone else from her clan. She sighed softly and glanced at him briefly when he yawned. She didn't bother keeping her eyes on him while he did that. Honestly, who wanted to stare into someone's mouth while they were yawning? She did look at him again when she heard him say sorry after moving his head from her hand. "You don't have to apolo..gi..ze..." She paused seeing his tongue when he licked his lips. She'd never noticed before that it was forked. "...For every little thing..." She finished and continued to stare at him. She was a little curious to say the least after seeing that, especially since she'd never known anyone with a forked tongue. "Your tongue... it's forked." She commented quietly, pointing out the obvious.

Kanone was satisfied enough with the plan to get his grandfather over here, so he let that go. He chuckled again when she started trying to deny the blush and then grinned. He took a couple of steps after her and then blinked when he saw her walk on the water. Well...she'd gotten the water to carry her tot he top of the water fall int he mountains...why not? He laughed softly and opened his wings and flying out over the water. Hovering in the air was hard for most dragons, but for the wind clan it was pretty easy to manage. He flew up behind her and then above her only to bend over her head so that he was looking her right in the face, only he was seeing everything completely upside down. "Oh, is that what's turning your face so red?" he teased again, "I could have sworn you were blushing... but if I'm just hallucinating, why are you hiding out here?" he asked with a grin. Without much warning he moved his head forward and pressed his lips against her nose lightly before he snickered, almost certain that was going to turn her a few more shades of red.
Hikari smiled when Kyran nodded and then looked back down to the sand again to see if she could find any more shells like that. Seconds later her head shot up and she froze whens eh felt something latch onto her tail. At first it just surprised her but seconds later the pain registered and her eyes widened when she felt her tail being dragged around. She may not have been to a beach before but she was smart enough to know when a crab had her...or....two... "OOOOOOOOW!!!!" she yelped as she dove off of the ground. "OW OW OW OW OW!! GET IT OFF!! GET IT OFF! OW!!" she continued to whine as she took off, running in wide circles around Kyran while thrashing her tail up and down. She was trying to sling the little devils off, but it seemed the more she thrashed the tighter they wanted to hold on. She continued running nearly as fast as she could for all the good it was doing her, almost digging a trench around Kyran with her feet as she went. After a quite a few laps she finally tripped over her own foot and fell flat on her face int he sand near Kyran's feet as her tail flipped up over her head, dangling the crabs over her head.
Nanashi opened his eyes again and smiled weakly when she commented about his tongue. "A lot of dragons have forked tongues in their true form..." he said quietly. He just chuckled softly and then stuck his tongue out at her before vibrating it the way one might expect a snake or lizard to do as he hissed. He retracted his tongue and then chuckled again. "I know...it's weird..." he said quietly, "But not as weird as other things..." He did have three eyes as well...one of which could see everything. That was about as weird as it got.

Aamori jumped slightly when she saw that Kanone had followed her, well, sorta. He was just... upside down and hovering. She heaved a heavier sigh. At least she managed what, a couple moments teasing-free? She found it rather difficult now to hide her face, mostly because no matter which way she turned it he'd be able to mirror her movement. Just the fact that he was looking her in the face while she was already blushing and she couldn't look away was making the color in her cheeks a little redder. She wanted to say something, anything, to use as an excuse to get him to leave her alone about the blushing but she really was at a loss for words. Since she couldn't come up with anything to say she just averted her eyes slightly. Her eyes rather quickly darted back when he kissed her nose and she stared at him while she did turn a few more shades of red, if that was even possible. She continued to just stare at him with a rather astonished expression on her face at least until she heard Hikari's yelp. Hearing that startled her and broke what little concentration she was trying to hold onto in order to keep her on top of the water. Since she'd lost her concentration she dropped straight down into the water and then staggered back quickly when a wave splashed against her and tried to take her down with it. She'd gone a good few feet out so when she dropped into the water it came up to her knees easily and then the wave clobbered her mid thigh. Thankfully she was pretty well balanced in the water even with waves or else that one surely would've taken her down. She didn't bother worrying that she'd gotten the bottom of her dress wet, right now she was a little more worried about Hikari since she'd heard her yelp. If anything, what ever was going on was a blessing because if it managed to divert her attention it surely got Kanone's too. "...Wonder what happened..." She mumbled after she noticed that Hikari wasn't running around anymore, instead she was planted in the sand.
Kyran stood there with his finger in the air slightly like he had meant to say something and just stared at her for a moment until she started to run around him in circles. He of course lowered his finger and his ears dropped slightly while he made an attempt at following her with his eyes as she ran. He was going to reach out and grab her to get her to stop running so he could try and get the crabs to let go of her tail but before he could even manage that she'd already tripped and fallen on her face right at his feet. He took a step back and then knelt down immediately. He went to reach for one of the crabs and it started snapping it's other pincer at him as his hand got too close. He yanked his hand back for a moment and sighed heavily. He could have prevented this all together if he'd caught on fast enough so the least he could do was take a hit while trying to remove the stupid things. He reserved himself to reach out again only this time he'd rubbed his fingers together a little before hand and when he opened his hand to reach for the crab a noticeable bolt of static electricity zapped in his hand. It wasn't anything strong enough to hurt a dragon or large animal but it'd surely daze the crab at the very least. He grabbed hold of the crab just before it would've pinched him and his hand made a zapping sound for a moment while it shocked the crab and probably left Hikari with a very brief twinge of a static shock. The one crab rather easily released her tail after he had shocked it. He looked it over for a moment and noticed it wasn't moving and then just tossed it a good couple feet away before he started to reach for the other one. As soon as his hand zapped again the other crab released her tail and then reattached itself tightly to her ear. Apparently the crab was a little smarter than originally thought.
LaRae smiled slightly. "I don't exactly go inspecting other dragons tongues while they're in their true form." She commented. She really wouldn't have even known that if he hadn't said something. Of course now she was inclined to try and look next time she saw someone in their true form. When she saw him hiss she couldn't help but chuckle quietly. Seeing him being able to do something like that just made her smile a little, it was actually kind of funny. "I don't think I'd say it's weird... rather... it's different." She said with a smile as she gave his hand a light squeeze.

Kanone laughed softly at Aamori's reaction, enjoying all of the shades her face was turning, at lest up until he heard Hikari scream bloody murder. He turned his head and blinked as he watched the shining, silvery blotch round laps around Kyran while he stood there. He kind of gathered by the way that she was flailing her tail and screaming that something had her. He blinked again and looked back to Aamori when she said she wondered what happened. "Um...I think she tripped." he said simply as he flipped himself over in the air and crossed his legs Indian style while he sat in the air, still moving his wings to keep himself in the air. He looked back toward Kyran and Hikari again and then tilted his head a little when he saw Kyran going for her tail. Well that conformed that suspicion. "Hehehe...I think she got 'crabbed.'" he said with a chuckle.
Hikari lay still with her face in the sand while Kyran tried to get the crabs off of her. She just whined and whimpered while the things were latched on. She could feel the electricity in her tail but that certainly didn't hurt any more than the crabs did, so she didn't complain... well at least not until the little bugger decided it was going to switch over to her ear. As soon as she felt it clamp down on her ear she bolted upright with a shriek and then growled ferociously as her eyes watered. She reached up to the crab and grabbed it roughly in her fist while jerking it away from her ear. She felt it cut a little but it hadn't gotten too good of a hold just yet so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She brought the crab around to the frond and glared at it while it tried to reach up and grab her nose. "Why you...." she growled, obviously not too thrilled with being humiliated by a bite sized sea snack. She stood up and slung the thing out over the water as hard as she possibly could. Unfortunately...she hadn't realized that Aamori and Kanone had moved out to sea and Kanone was hovering right in the middle of the flight path.
Kanone stared at Hikari while she bolted up and grabbed for her ear and then grinned as he glanced back to Aamori. "Heh, I think I was right." he said as he looked back to Hikari again, though rather than seeing her he got to see a split second of beady black eyes before the little thing smacked him right between the eyes. "YAHH!!" he yelled as he toppled over backwards, straight down into the water. There was a massive splash as he disappeared below the waves. The crab...was probably laying unconscious somewhere on the ocean floor after that hit.
Hikari stared as Kanone fell into the water and then her ears drooped slightly. "....Oops." That...seemed to be the only comment she had for the matter at the time.
Nanashi smiled again whens he said it was different, "To you I suppose." he said with a soft laugh. "...I guess if I really was a dragon I would have had a tongue like that in my true form..." he sighed softly and then shuddered when he thought about that. "...LaRae...does it....hurt at all when you change forms?" he asked quietly, obviously because he had been laying on the ground writing in pain for a few hours when his body decided it wanted to give it a shot. He wondered if that was just him or if it really hurt them to change forms and that was why they didn't do it too often or if they just stayed this way because it was more convenient.

Aamori continued to stand there bracing against the waves when they splashed against her. She stared over at Hikari and Kyran and then glanced up at Kanone when he said she tripped. Well she gathered that much on her own. She was more or less looking for the cause when she said she wondered what happened. She shook her head lightly when she heard Kanone say that he thought she got 'crabbed'. That somehow didn't surprise her since the crabs here did kind of like shiny things and Hikari was one giant walking shiny thing to them. "...Maybe I should've warned about the sand crabs..." She mumbled glancing back over to Hikari and Kyran.
Kyran was going to reach for the crab again but Hikari made that a little impossible since she bolted upright like she had. He just rubbed his hand against his pants briefly to discharge the static in his hand before he looked up to her again. He just stared at her a little surprised to see her pull the thing off of her ear like that. He stood up and watched as glared at the crab. He was going to take the thing away from her when it started to go after her nose but again she made that difficult when she decided the crab needed to go for a flight. He merely turned his head to see where the crab was going to land after Hikari threw it and his eyes widened when he saw Aamori and Kanone out in the water and the crab hurling straight for Kanone. He cringed slightly when it made contact and Kanone fell into the water with such a large splash. He stared briefly and then slowly turned his head to look at Hikari again. "...Good arm." He uttered quietly after hearing her say 'oops'.
Aamori hadn't bothered taking her eyes off of Hikari when she heard Kanone say that he thought he was right. So of course she saw Hikari throw something but it wasn't until it sailed past her to hit Kanone that she realized it was the crab. Before she even had the chance to react to the crab being thrown she was trying to get out of the way of the splash Kanone made when he hit the water. Unfortunately she was close to Kanone and a little slow to react so she ended up soaked and then knocked over by a wave that followed after his splash. She was only under the water for a moment before she sat up on her knees and spit the water out of her mouth like a fountain. She then started to get back to her feet, in the process pulling the shoulder of her dress back up and then pulling the bottom of it down. Aside from the fact that her dress was now sticking to her like her wetsuit and you could see her unmentionables through the light fabric she was fine. At least she would be until she realized for herself that you could see through her dress now.
LaRae kept a soft smile on her face until he asked about it hurting when they changed forms. She had guessed that question might come up sooner or later in some shape or form. She just kind of wished it hadn't been so soon since it easily reminded her of what happened. She shut her eyes for a moment and sighed softly. "...No ...no it doesn't hurt, at all." She paused. "Or.. it isn't supposed to." She answered quietly. She didn't care to be thinking about it but she was probably going to be reminded every time someone changed forms, herself included and how could that possibly be helped? She sighed softly and started to crack her eyes open a little. She really wished that Nanashi hadn't had to feel that pain and she didn't have to remember seeing him in that much pain.

Kanone remained below the surface for a few moments longer, still trying to get over the shock before he finally sat up and coughed, spitting out the water only to take in a mouth full more at the next wave. He stood up and coughed as he shook his head and then blinked then he felt something splat against his face. He made a face as he reached up to his head to pull off the piece of sea weed that had washed up on his head. "Ew...." he muttered as he dropped the slimy stuff back in the water again. He rubbed his forehead and then glanced back over to Aamori again though he blinked when he saw her completely soaked and then blushed when he realized that he could see right through her dress. His cheeks turned red again and he looked away after he realized what she was wearing under her dress...which...wasn't much it seemed. "Um...Aamori, I realize it's nothing I haven't seen before, but... um...you might want to cover up." he said as he turned his head and held his hand up beside his face to keep himself from looking.
Hikari sighed quietly. "Thanks." she said in the same dull tone. She reached up to rub her bleeding ear and then sighed again and started forward slowly though she blinked when she realized that Aamori was wearing...well pretty much white. "Oh...my..." she sighed heavily. What was she thinking wearing white if she was going to get close enough to the water to possibly fall in. She glanced back to Kanone briefly and then sighed, "Um... Are you alright Kanone?" she asked since she'd noticed him rubbing his head before he started trying to hide his face. She guessed he'd already noticed.
Nanashi looked at LaRae for a long moment and then smiled weakly. "...I'm glad." he said quietly. "I would hate to think that it hurt you that much to change forms every time you needed to." he said quietly. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze when she opened her eyes again and then pulled her hand back to his face so he could kiss the back of it again. "...LaRae...don't look so upset..." he said quietly, "...I'm sorry... I didn't mean to upset you again..." He whispered softly. She didn't really look that upset but he could tell that she was uneasy with the topic. "It doesn't matter...I doubt it will happen again... I meant to ask Hikari about it, but I forgot... I just...gathered form her thoughts last night...it was something to do with the mood... I've never seen the third moon like that before."

Aamori was still rather oblivious to the state of her clothes. She looked over at Kanone once he had started to get up from the water. Well at least it looked like he wasn't really hurt. She started to tug at the bottom of her dress a little without bothering to look down. She was just trying to get it to not cling to her like it was. She looked back at Kanone when he started talking and stared at him for a moment once he had finished saying that she might to cover up. It didn't take much for her to get what he was saying, honestly, she should've known better than to come out here in what she was wearing. She started to glance down to see just how bad it was and within seconds of looking down her eyes widened and she'd thrown her arms up over her chest. "...Why me..." She muttered quietly. When he said it was nothing he hadn't seen before she had expected her lower half to visible through the soaked dress but not her upper half. That... certainly was... more than he'd seen before. The color found it's way back to her face rather quickly when she thought about just how much he'd seen. Even worse she thought to turn around a little to look over at Hikari and Kyran and the color only worsened in her face since apparently they'd both seen as well. It was official, things like this only happened when Kanone was around. No, now that she was thinking about it. This was Hikari's fault since she hadn't looked where she was throwing that crab. If Hikari hadn't thrown that blasted crab then she would've been able to turn around and walk back to the beach with nothing more than the bottom of her dress wet. She grumbled quietly and removed one hand from her chest to hold it palm side to the water. Within a few seconds she'd created a decent sized ball of water though she used it a little differently than just throwing it like she usually would've. She wanted to make sure that Hikari came out of this just as wet as she was. She pushed the ball into the water, forcing itself down towards the sand and then waved her hand quickly in a motion towards Hikari which caused the ball of water to shoot itself quickly along with a rather large sized wave of water directly for Hikari with little chance that she'd be able to evade. Even if she could manage to dodge that she'd just keep trying until Hikari was soaked.
Kyran sighed softly and watched as Hikari started forward. He had kind of wished he'd gotten that crab before it got to her ear but no luck. He turned and started to follow after her, glancing up to look to see how Kanone was since he'd taken a hit and fallen into the water. He hadn't even thought that would effect Aamori in any way, at least until he looked over at her. He couldn't help but stare for a moment, almost in disbelief that she was standing there soaked and with so little on beneath that dress. He finally pried his eyes away and turned so that he wasn't able to see her. He was pretty sure that it wasn't her plan to wind up soaked and revealing that much to the people around her. "Hikari... maybe do me a favor... let me know when... she's not so.. you know.." He asked quietly while still keeping himself turned away. Since he wasn't paying any attention what so ever to what was going on he didn't even notice what Aamori had sent their way as pay back for getting her soaked. Before he knew it he'd been smacked in the back by that wave and found himself rather... drenched. He just stood there and lifted his hand up to brush his dripping wet hair back out of his face. Well... he knew that wasn't a natural wave. There was no way that a wave could douse him with his height and be a natural occurrence. After he brushed his hair back he took his hand and patted the pockets of his vest lightly before he started to glance over to Hikari to see if she'd been clobbered by that apparent Aamori-created wave.
LaRae had barely gotten her eyes opened all the way before she found herself closing them again. He just had to ask that question and then use the answer he got in order to say something that was kind of sweet. She smiled weakly when he kissed her hand again. She laid there without a word for a few moments. She didn't want to look upset to him, or even give off that vibe. She was supposed to be happy that he was still here but she couldn't keep herself from thinking about it now. She was glad that he doubted it would happen again. She wasn't sure she could manage seeing that happen again and she could only hope that she wouldn't have to. Now, if she could just get her head to put that memory in the back where she didn't have to remember it so easily. She tightened her grip on his hand slightly and then started to crack her eyes open again. She stared at him for a moment. For once it was actually extremely easy to read in her eyes just how bothered she was by everything that had happened. She averted her eyes momentarily. "...Please..." She started. "...D-don't leave me like that ...again." She mumbled quietly while trying her hardest not to start crying. "...You didn't ...even say ..." She cut herself off and burrowed her head into the pillow since she knew she couldn't hold back the tears any longer.

Kanone just raised his other than when Hikari asked how he was and gave her a thumb's up. "I'll live. Where in the hell did you turn to throw like that?" he sighed softly and then shook his head slightly. He side glanced over to Aamori for a moment and then sighed softly and reached down to his belt to untie the golden rope around his waist when he noticed the large wave come up and douse both Hikari and Kyran. He blinked and then stared at Hikari who was no in little better shape than Aamori. His face turned ever more red and he slapped his hand over his eyes quickly. "Oh, Deceitful deities, give me a break! I'm turning out of direction to turn my head!"
Hikari was glad to hear that she hadn't hurt Kanone too badly. "Sorry about that." she told him, "I didn't see--" she started, though she was abruptly caught off guard and nearly knocked over by the sudden wall of water that came out of nowhere. She sucked in her breath and reached up to rub her ear when the salt water touched the cut. That stung...a lot. She shook her head and sighed and glanced back over to Kyran again only to see that he was drenched as well. Finally she thought to look down to herself and groaned. Of course her current outfit was even more white than Aamori's dress and it was clinging to her just as badly. Thankfully...she had on a little more under it, so she wasn't quite as exposed as Aamori was, but she was still pretty bad off. It helped only slightly that her skin was so pale that it was almost white as well. She shook her head to push her now drenched mane of hair back over her shoulders again to try to cover her backside while she crossed her arms over her chest. "Aamori!" she called irritably, "That was an ACCIDENT! That was completely uncalled for! You just completely drenched Kyran and he didn't even do anything! He's got all of our important papers in his pockets!" she scolded her, "Not to mention you just drenched both of our passes and Hisako said that those couldn't be replaced!"
Kanone groaned whens he mentioned the pass and removed his hand from his eyes. "Crap..." He sighed and finally reached down and actually got around to untying his belt. "Hope no one comes looking for those." he muttered as he hung to rope over his neck and wrapped it around once before he reached down to the tail end of his shirt and pulled it over his head. He sighed and straightened it out a little before tugging it down over Aamori's head. "Here, cover up." His shirt was long enough that it would probably be nearly as long as the dress was on her in the front and back. Of course it was split u the sides to the top of the hips but there wasn't really anything on the sides that needed to be hidden so it should work. "Whoo...." he shivered slightly when the wind caught him and then stared to make his way back toward shore while crossing his arms over his chest.
Nanashi's eyes softened when he looked into LaRae's and his ears fell back slightly. He shook his head weakly at her words and then pushed himself up a little while she burrowed her face into the pillow and tried to reach over her, though he had to free his hand from hers first. He laid his arm over her back and then replaced the hand that he'd taken back by laying his other hand on top of hers and lacing his fingers between hers like she had done to him. "LaRae..." he whispered softly as he leaned his head down against hers and let himself down slowly. "LaRae, listen to me... I...I can't promise that." he whispered softly, "...Everything dies... I am half human...and humans are mortal.... I will likely die long before you do..." He moved his hand from behind her head and gently pushed his fingers back through her hair again, "...But even then...I will not say goodbye to you." he said quietly, "I will never say goodbye to you. I never want to leave you...and I never will." he told her quietly. He slipped his head off of hers and laid it on her pillow, right next to her face, "...No matter what happens to me I will always be with you... You may not be able to see me, but I will be there. You just have to remember that...and remember me." He smiled weakly and hugged her close to him while he rested his forehead against hers. "Don't cry LaRae... I hate to see you cry... I'm not going to die for a long time..." he whispered to her as he pressed his lips to her forehead. "I promise you that...so don't cry."

Aamori returned her arm and placed it over her chest after she saw that she'd managed to soak Hikari. Though... she hadn't exactly meant to get Kyran too. He just happened to be too close to Hikari when that wave hit. She snickered quietly when she saw that the wave she'd sent after Hikari had managed to douse her to the point that her clothes were almost as bad as hers were. She was glad at least that she wasn't going to be the only one walking back home with see through clothes on. She had started to turn her head away up until she heard Hikari call her name. Ordinarily she might have flinched a little but she knew what was coming. She'd done that on purpose after all. She just stood there quietly and let Hikari say her peace. "I wasn't intending to get Kyran or the important papers wet." She called back to her. "That was an accident." She added. She looked back to Kanone briefly when she felt something being pulled down over her head. She stared at him for a moment, blushing slightly since he wasn't wearing his shirt anymore then she finally looked down seeing that he'd put his shirt over her. She smiled weakly and then wiggled her arms up through the arm openings of his shirt. She turned to look at him when he started to head back towards the shore. "...Thank you." She said quietly and then started to follow after him. Well... if she'd known Kanone was going to be nice enough to cover her up like that than she might not have felt the need to soak Hikari too. Oh well. It was done now.
Kyran couldn't help but stare at Hikari for a few moments after he saw how soaked she'd gotten. He had a decent amount of color to his face before he put his hand to his eyes and shook his head lightly as he finally turned his head away. Really, he needed to learn to turn his eyes away sooner. He sighed quietly after listening to Hikari scold Aamori for what she'd done. "Hikari..." He started. "It's alright. I'll dry." He paused. "...And the papers ...they will too." He said as he started to unbutton his vest. He really didn't mind that much that he'd gotten all wet and the papers would dry, eventually. To think... this all could've been avoided if he'd seen the crabs sooner and kept them off of her tail. He finished unbuttoning his vest and slipping out of it. He stepped a little closer to Hikari and held it out to her. "I know it isn't much... but it should help a little." He said with a small smile. He really wasn't upset so he wished that Hikari wouldn't be.
The crab that Kyran had dazed had since come to and rather quickly scurried back over to the shiny thing it'd previously been trying to fight for. It reached Hikari's tail quickly enough and stared at it for a moment before snapping it's claw twice and then clamping down on her tail one last time. The crab released her tail though, as soon as it was sure it had gotten it's last stab in and then immediately started to burrow itself in the sand to try and get away.
LaRae continued to try and hide her face, until he started moving anyway. She was a little embarrassed to be crying like she was in front of him but she couldn't help it. She tightened her grip slightly when she felt him re-lace his fingers between hers and then cracked her eyes open a little while he was speaking. He may have wanted for her not to cry but there was very little that he had said that didn't wake her eyes water more. She understood everything that he said even though she really didn't want to hear half of it. She could've lived without the reminder that humans were mortal. She knew that and preferred not being reminded that he wasn't going to live as long as she was. She didn't bother saying anything, mostly because she could even begin to come up with something to respond with. All she seemed to be able to do was lay there close to him and cry quietly. It really did bother her immensely that the one person in her life that really, honestly cared for her and loved her had died once already and was able to so easily remind her that he wasn't going to live as long as she was. If she was feeling like this now she could only imagine how he must have felt whenever she went on and on about how she was going to die and there was nothing that could be done about it. The whole topic was rather depressing and had he not been dead for that brief time that he was she may never have changed her feelings about just, well, dying. She opened her eyes a little more when he hugged her close and their foreheads were touching. She tried to smile a little when he said that he wasn't going to die for a long time. Oh how that would've meant so much more to her if he hadn't just gone on about mortal humans and being around her even if he wasn't alive. She sniffled quietly and at least made an attempt to stop crying after he kissed her forehead and said his promise.

Kanone glanced back to Aamori and smiled slightly at her before he shook his head. "Don't mention it. I didn't want to have to try to avoid looking at you all the way back." he said with a soft laugh as he unwrapped the rope from his neck and tossed it at Aamori, "Here, tie that on, I don't feel like carrying it." he said with another slight laugh before he glanced back to Hikari briefly and then glanced away again while he reached up to take his hair down again. He sighed when he felt the wet mass plaster itself to his bare back and then shook his head. "Bah..." He sighed softly and glanced back to Aamori with a half smile once he was back on the beach. "Come on...or do you want to stay out there all day?"
Hikari gritted her teeth slightly and then growled quietly, not too fond of Aamori's tone. She was about ready to continue barking at her when Kyran spoke and then she looked back up to him again. Her face was completely red, so it was obvious that she was embarrassed, though part of that might have been anger as well. "I know you'll dry, but what if the ink runs on those papers to the point they can't be read?" she muttered, "And I don't have anything else to put on even when we get back! God forbid Yoichi show up again..." she looked away again, keeping her arms crossed over her chest. She narrowed her eyes slightly when she realized that Kanone had given up his shirt and Aamori was now completely covered again. Well perfect, now she was going to be the only one walking back with her underwear showing to everyone she passed. She glanced over briefly when Kyran offered her his vest and then sighed quietly. "Thanks..." she muttered as she reached out to take it from him. Just as she got a hold of it she felt something snap onto her tail again and yelped loudly before she swung her tail up where she could look at it. She rubbed the tip of her tail for a brief moment and then dropped it as she turned around again with a look to kill on her face. She spotted the crab as it was trying to burrow away and growled again as she clawed her hand like she was ready to grab the thing up and crush it to death, but she stopped with her hand still in the air and just took in a few deep breaths while she tried to get a hold of herself. She honestly looked like she could punch someone out right now given half of a reason, but she was also trying to be reasonable...after all if she grabbed the crab she was only going to get pinched again.
Nanashi just nuzzled LaRae again and sighed softly. He always had a habit of just telling it like it was. He tried to never made promises that he couldn't keep, so he couldn't promise to never leave her like that again. He combed his fingers through her hair gently again and then went still again. "...I'm half dragon, too..." he said quietly. "...I don't know...how it works... I've never anticipated living as long as a dragon...but I really don't know how it works." He smiled at her slightly, "...I might." He sighed and just kissed her forehead again, "...Don't worry about it. I'm not." he told her quietly. He combed his fingers through her hair again and nuzzled against her, "...I wont leave you." he said more surely. He just hoped that she didn't plan to leave him either. After all as far as he knew she was still expecting to die as soon as this trip was over if she couldn't do something with that mark.

Aamori fumbled a little with the rope when he tossed it at her. She smiled slightly after he told her to tie it on and said that he didn't feel like carrying it. That was kind of lazy considering he probably could've put it around his waist. "So you make me carry it, I see how it is." She said quietly as she started to put it around her waist and tie it. She shook her head at his last question and started the rest of the way out of the water. Once she was back on the sand she lifted her hands to gather her hair and start trying to wring it out. With all of her hair she was liable to wring out enough ocean water to fill a bucket. "Are you going to be okay walking back without your shirt?" She asked quietly. The cold from being soaked on top of the chill from the wind didn't effect her too badly but she couldn't say how the others were going to take it. If she'd been able to get all of her energy back while she was asleep earlier and not spent a decent amount trying to dry Celestine this morning, she would've gladly taken the time to dry at least Kanone and Kyran along with the papers.
Kyran sighed softly while listening to Hikari. "If the ink runs on any of the papers I'll do what I can to get them fixed or replaced. I know Hisako said that the passes wouldn't be replaced but I'm sure that she can be persuaded to reissue them if ours have become illegible due to water." He wasn't one hundred percent sure that Hisako could be talked into it but he wouldn't know for sure unless he tried. Then if Hisako seriously refused then he could always try another official who could issue passes. As for the script from the Elder about the mission, well, if anything happened to it he was sure another Elder could tell him what to do about it. So he really wasn't that worried about it. He couldn't really help her with something else to wear when they got back. He didn't even have a spare change of clothes that he could give her to bum around in until hers were cleaned again. After she took the vest from him he started to look away again at least until he heard her yelp again. He turned his eyes back to her and looked at her tail briefly when she swung it around and then watched as she spotted the crab that had apparently come back for one last snip. He shook his head lightly seeing just how angry she got. He wasn't sure that he could blame her but she looked like she was ready to dig for that crab if it meant getting it back for hurting her. He stepped over and took her hand since she'd left it in the air. He pulled it back down to her side and then moved his hand to rub her arm lightly. "Are you really going to let a crab get under your scales like that? I know it hurt but you're going to live." He said quietly.
LaRae listened to him quietly while still trying to keep herself from crying any more than she already had. She sniffled again quietly before trying to smile a little since he had said he wouldn't leave. "...I..." She started quietly but paused for a moment before continuing. "...I don't want to ...feel ...that pain ..again..." She mumbled quietly. She didn't like the way it felt one bit to lose someone that she cared about. She'd lost before, but she couldn't remember her parents. Let alone what it really felt like to lose them, so the other night really was the first time she'd ever felt pain like that before. She was quiet for a minute and then shut her eyes gently. She'd finally stopped crying all together though her sniffling nose remained along with slightly puffy, swollen eyes. "...I ...don't want ...you to have ...feel it either..." She added quietly. She really couldn't bring herself to let him feel the way she had if it could be avoided. Now more than before she really did want to find some way to get rid of the marking on her back.
