LaRae nodded her head slightly after he confirmed that they were leaving soon. She walked over to the night stand on her side of the bed and grabbed the comb so that she could run it through her hair. "I don't think you have to be worried about later." She commented after she thought about it for a minute. After all, there were eight of them total? There were plenty of them who could keep an eye on Kyran or anyone else for that matter. After she finished with her hair she set the comb back down and then went to get her boots so that she could put them on. She glanced over to Nanashi when he started explaining about leaving his coat behind. "That's probably a good idea." She said with a nod while she finished lacing up her boots. She looked back over at him when she heard him ask what she fought with. She thought about it for a moment because she thought she'd used her sword once before since they'd been on this trip. She shook her head a little when she remembered that she'd used it the one time that Nanashi wasn't with them. She stood up now that she was ready to go. "I fight with a sword." She answered.
Nero pretty much ignored the fact that Hikari was in the room and continued to go about getting dressed, even without having to be told to put his clothes back on by Hikari. After he stepped into his pants and got them buttoned up he turned slightly and looked back over to Hikari. She had asked him how he didn't trip over anything and then told him not to answer. Well... that wasn't that unreasonable of a question so he kind of wondered why she said nevermind. He started to sit down on the couch so that he could put his boots on. "...My eyes work the best in the dark." He answered thinking that much might have been obvious. His eyes were stronger when it was dark and weaker in the brighter light.
Kyran watched briefly while Celestine headed off towards Nero's room. He glanced back to Kanone and nodded slightly. "Yeah... there isn't always a lot of food readily available when you're in the middle of no where.. well.. unless you eat a diet similar to Celestine's." He said with a slight nod. "I'm sure that we can work at getting him to eat a little more regularly. Both he and Nero don't eat very much and Hikari's always trying to make sure Nero eats, or at least she has in the past. I'm sure she won't mind adding Celestine to that list." He said with a quiet laugh. When Kanone asked about what happened to him he sighed. "It wasn't a boot, exactly..." He said quietly as he finally reached to pull his shirt out and lift it up enough to expose the area that Nanashi had hit with the staff. It was a dark shade of red still and you could pretty clearly make out the length of the staff running across his middle. "...Lets just say that scaring Nanashi when he has a steel staff in his hands ...is a really bad idea."

Nanashi still wasn't all that convinced that he didn't need to worry about later. He still planned to keep his eyes on Kyran. He may not be the best fighter, but if he could help it he wasn't going to let anything near him if he looked like he was having trouble. When she answered his question he tilted his head slightly and then glanced around. "...But...you don't carry anything," he said slowly, though he quickly remembered the knife that she had made out of the roots in Radha. "...You make a sword from roots then? But...what if there's nothing around? I mean...we are going for the water relic... I'm...kind of expecting whatever we're looking for isn't going to be on land, or at least not where there are trees." His brow furrowed slightly in concern as he thought about it. LaRae's magic could be pretty powerful, he'd seen that, though if there were no plants around, he didn't know what more she could do. He might have to keep his eyes trained on her, too if he was right about there not being any trees she could use to arm herself. He knew there wouldn't be in Cináed...
Hikari honestly hadn't expected Nero to answer her question, he was just scurrying to get out of the room. She stopped with a soft sigh when he did answer her question, honestly a bit surprised that he'd bothered since he usually seemed annoyed when she talked too much or asked stupid questions. She had already gathered that light hurt his eyes so he preferred for it to be dark, what she'd asked was mostly a rhetorical question since she couldn't really see well in the dark at all. After a second she peeked back slowly since she thought she heard him rustling around in his clothes and once she saw that he was clothed she turned back around about halfway. "Oh..." she said simply before she sighed again, "...Well...sorry for the rude awakening... I thought you were just being stubborn," she said bluntly. It was pretty obvious that she still wasn't quite her usual easy-going self. She still wanted to snap on Kyran, but she was losing the drive, so she guessed she'd just be irritable for a little while longer. She wasn't going to get onto him in front of everyone. She still had a good bit of color in her face as she started back out the door, almost walking right into Celestine. She stepped around him with a quiet "excuse me" and then continued out to the court yard, leaving the door open since it seemed that was Celestine's destination.
Celestine blinked when he saw Hikari come out of Nero's room and then shook his head. He guessed she was the one that ended up waking him. Well...that saved him a little trouble. He waited a moment and then walked up to the door and stood in the doorway without really coming inside. "...Nero, can I borrow a knife or something?" he asked simply, getting straight to the point. He highly doubted that Nero cared what he needed it for, and he wasn't going to elaborate unless he asked. He just wanted to get it, use it, and hand it back to him.
Kanone laughed quietly at the thought of Hikari trying to make sure Nero was fed. "I guess Hikari's the mother hen of his group, huh?" he asked with a slight smile. It was kind of funny the way that she worried after everyone. He tilted his head slightly when Kyran said that it wasn't a boot and then looked at his stomach when he pulled up his shirt. He cringed and him sucked in his breath through his teeth, "Ouch... Damn, Nanashi did that? I didn't think he could swing that hard. That looks like my back did after Aamori got finished with me back home." He laughed weakly and rubbed the back of his head, "Apparently dodging everything is a really bad idea, too, because by the time she hits you...eh heh... I was sore for nearly a week." He shook his head, "I hope that goes away soon, that looks like it's going to make for a rough day on your end."

LaRae nodded her head slightly when Nanashi glanced around and had said that she didn't carry anything. That was pretty true and she liked not having to carry her weapon like everyone else. There was no forgetting it and so long as there was greenery around her weapon would be readily available. She nodded again once he asked if her sword was made from roots. "Initially it is, anyway." She commented as she listened to him continue. After she listened to his concern she wanted nothing more than to shrug and say 'oh well' but she couldn't really do that. She hadn't given it too much thought really, whereas Nanashi had just in the matter of one starter question; 'What do you fight with?'. She had to admit, she was kind of glad that he brought this to her attention now rather than her finding out too late like in Radha. She had honestly had trouble doing much of anything in Radha because of the way the room was made where they fought Nerian. She would like to have been able to assure him that she'd be fine but if there was no greenery in the surrounding area that could really pose a problem. Especially because it wouldn't even be feasible for her to draw her sword here or nearer to their destination and have it last. If her sword didn't revert back to dead wood after an extended period of time she'd have no problem. Then on top of that the shelf life of her sword was likely to be even shorter this time because the mark on her back had grown that once. "...I guess we just hope there is something nearby." She paused. "Otherwise I suppose I'm stuck with claws." She wasn't too worried about there being a lack of greenery nearby. She was better with a sword, but she wasn't that bad with plain hand to hand. Or well... claw to whatever this guardian was going to have.
Nero lifted his eyes once he was finished putting his boots on and glanced over at Hikari when she said 'oh'. After she apologized and bluntly said that she thought he was being stubborn he just shook his head a little. "I think I prefer you irritable." He paused. "You don't talk quite as much and it's in a tone that's a lot better than the cheery one you always have." He teased. "And I was being stubborn. I didn't want to get up." He said honestly. Who would want to get up after spending so many days in a bed and a dark room? He was quite comfortable, minus the fact that he felt a little sluggish. He started to get to his feet once Hikari had started out of the room. He looked back to the door when he heard Celestine and his question. Good Lord was he getting an unusual amount of visits first thing after waking up. Ordinarily it was him waking up to nothing which he had to admit he kind of preferred even if he had gotten to embarrass Hikari again. He started to move across the room again, this time to the night stand to start gathering the things that went into his pockets. "...That depends." He said just before reaching the nightstand. "What do you need a knife for?" He asked. In this instance Celestine's prediction that Nero wouldn't care what he needed it for would be off. He didn't like to just hand out his personal affects unless he knew what they were being used for. Not to mention it was just natural to ask what someone needed something for. Once he'd returned everything to his pockets he glanced back towards the door briefly before starting in that direction.
Kyran nodded slightly when Kanone guessed that Hikari was the 'mother hen' of the group. "I suppose you could call her that.." He paused. "She really wants to lay into me about scaring Nanashi too... so she's a little... irritable?" He said quietly and then finally glanced down to have a look at the area that Nanashi had hit. He scrunched up his face a little when he saw it and sighed heavily. "...I didn't think Nanashi could hit that hard either." He admitted. "The guy knocked me on tail and then freaked out about it. I'm pretty sure that's one of the first times that he's ever hit a dragon, or at least he lead me to believe that since he was more concerned with how I felt than how he felt." He said and then remembered to lower his shirt. He didn't bother with tucking it back in. With as sore as he was when he moved that was going to be more of a pain than it was worth. "...It honestly hurts like hell, still. Especially when moving the muscles right there..." He said quietly. "...But Nanashi doesn't need to know that." He added quickly. "He'll worry too much over me and not himself if he knows I'm aching badly. So.. keep that to yourself?" Right about now he wanted nothing more than to go crawl in a bed and wrap himself around a pillow pressed to his middle. The darn thing was sore as all could be and it hadn't even started to change colors yet and likely wouldn't until morning. He was already prepared to be the darkest shades of black and blue considering just how hard Nanashi had hit him with that staff.

Nanashi sighed softly and then shook his head slightly, really not liking the possibility that LaRae could be unarmed. "...You may not want to get that close to whatever this is," he said quietly as he went to open the door. He stood there, holding the door open while waiting for LaRae to exit the room. Now it did seem like he was going to have two people that he was going to be worried about if he was right and there wasn't anything around that she could make a weapon with. He finally sighed and offered her a smile. He really hoped that he was able to fight when the time came. He had a good idea of how he needed to wield his weapon, but the actual practice was lacking. He doubted knowledge alone was going to be good enough to do much, but it should help at least. He was pretty sure he wouldn't be afraid to try to kill something like Nerian if it was attacking them, so he wasn't too worried about freezing up and not being able to hit whatever it was.
Hikari just sighed after what Nero had said. "Of course you would," she muttered to herself as she moved across the hallway and under one of the arches. She glanced over to Kanone and Kyran and then shook her head before she just started to Aamori's room. It seemed like everyone was more or less up and running, so she decided to go ahead and let Aamori know they were about ready if she was. She pushed the door open a little and poked her head inside, "Aamori? I think we're all about ready to go," she told her simply, "A few people are still getting out here, but everyone's up now."
Celestine just held moved the hand that was holding the belt when Nero looked back at him after asking what he needed the knife for. The blades clanked together when he moved them, though their sheaths didn't allow them to make much sound. "I need to make another notch, it's too big," he answered simply. Again, he didn't bother giving too much explanation. Nero wasn't one of the talkative girls so he didn't really feel the need to get into detail on why he had Kanone's belt and blades and where his weapon was and all that; it would be pretty obvious when Nero got out there that they had switched out. "You can have it right back," he said after a moment.
Kanone half smiled and then shook his head. "Probably," he agreed when Kyran said that it was probably one of the first times that Nanashi had ever hit a dragon. "He probably thought you were going to beat him into the ground after that, I'm surprised he didn't run and hide." He smiled again when Kyran asked him not to tell Nanashi that he was still in pain. "Yeah, I will," he agreed. "Heh...I'm pretty damn sore myself," he said as he rubbed his head, "Whose bright idea was it to let Celestine wake me up? He kicked me out of the bed. Literally!"

LaRae headed for the door and stepped outside since Nanashi had held it open. Once she was in the hall she turned slightly to look back at him. "...We still don't even know what we're going to be up against." She paused. "There may not be anything to really worry about." She said quietly. There also was no guarantee that there wasn't going to be greenery around. She didn't need a great deal, just a little would do and she'd be able to arm herself.
Aamori hadn't moved very much from where she had laid back on her bed. She started to sit up a little when she heard Hikari say that she thought they were about ready to go. She wasn't that surprised to have someone come get her so soon, after all, it didn't take that long to wake people up. She'd gotten enough time to herself to try and put aside the thoughts she didn't care to remember. She looked over to Hikari and then started to stand up from her bed. "Okay. I just want to look at something." She said as she started to move around her bed and back towards the back wall that was lined with book cases. She had remembered where they were going to have to go look for this relic but she wasn't exactly sure where to start. Once she reached the book cases she looked them over for a moment before she lifted her hand to pull a single book down by it's spine. "If the relic is where I think it is... there are four possible spires that it could be in." She started to flip the book open while she turned to look back to the door to see if Hikari was still there or not. She stepped over to her desk and was going to put the book down on it but couldn't find an empty space. She sighed quietly and pushed a few things aside so that book would just barely fit. The book was a rather simple map collection which just happened to have the locations of the four spires but if you didn't know what they were you wouldn't recognize what they were because on the map they just looked like circles on smaller islands. "...I'm not entirely too sure where to start..." She mumbled as she looked down at the book.
Nero nodded his head slightly after he heard what Celestine wanted a knife for. He paused long enough to reach down into the pocket on the side of his leg and remove one of his brass knuckles. Once he reached the door he held it out to him. "It's got some weight to it, but it should work better than a knife for what you want to do." He told him while he waited for him to take the brass knuckle. "....Unless you;d be more comfortable with a knife?" He asked lastly.
Kyran shook his head lightly. "I think he wanted to." He said when Kanone mentioned that he was surprised that Nanashi didn't run and hide. "If he hadn't been more concerned with me being hurt I'm pretty sure he'd have fled." He added. He couldn't help but laugh quietly when he heard that Celestine had kicked him out of the bed. "...That would be Hikari." He started. "No one else was really available. Nanashi was asked to get LaRae, Hikari went to get Nero and Celestine went to get you." He said with a slight nod. "...You're not in too bad of shape are you?" He asked since Kanone had said that he was sore as well.

Nanashi laughed weakly as he followed LaRae out and closed the door behind him. "...Maybe not... But from past experience I think it's pretty safe to say there's always going to be something to worry about," he said with a sigh. He stepped a little closer to her and wrapped his arms around her for a moment. "...I know it goes without saying but...just...be careful, okay?" he said quietly. He smiled slightly at her and gave her a little kiss on the cheek, "I will be, too."
Hikari nodded slightly when Aamori said that there was something she wanted to look at. She started to back up and then paused when Aamori continued speaking after getting the book. She blinked and then sighed softly and stepped into the room and walked over to the desk to look over Aamori's shoulder at the map. "...Well...I suppose we will just have to check these like we checked the forests in Radha, pick one and go with it," she said quietly, "But...my gut tells me that we should start with the one that we couldn't find anything on. Remember, there was the one book that told the location of the tower that we never found...do you know which one that was?" she asked curiously. "It's just a guess but...you'd think things like that would be in the place that was hardest to find..."
Celestine shrugged slightly, "I don't care, as long as it makes a hole..." He started to reach up to take it and then paused. "Can you hold that for a second, please?" He said before he put the belt on quickly and pulled it back as far as he needed it. He marked the place with his fingers and then took it off again and reached for the knuckle. His hand sank when Nero let it go, obviously a little taken but surprise at the weight even though he'd already been warned. Once he had it he pressed it to the area that he had marked with his finger, which was about two inches behind the last notch, and then carefully tried to push it through. He sucked in his breath when he accidentally stabbed himself in the thumb with the spike when it came through the other side of the belt, but he didn't say anything. He handed the knuckles back to Nero, "Thanks," he said simply.
Kanone just laughed slightly and then shook his head. "Go figure," he said simply, "I get left with the violent one." He just smiled when Kyran asked if he was in too bad a shape, "Nah, I just cracked my head off the floor, no harm done," he said with a laugh, "I don't think the damage can get much worse." He raised his hand to the side of his head and felt around, "Eh...guess there is a little knot, but it'll go away," he said with a shrug.

LaRae smiled when he wrapped his arms around her. She nodded her head slightly when said to be careful. That did go without saying and she was a little concerned herself if there wasn't going to be a way for her to arm herself, but she'd never admit that. She actually hated the feeling of not being able to do anything and without her magic she wasn't really all that strong. She smiled again when he kissed her cheek. "Good. You aren't really in any shape to get hurt." She commented quietly. She was already starting to hate the idea of her not having a weapon or anything. She was worried about him just like he was worried about her and at least he had someway to look out for the people he was worried about.
Aamori stared down at the map for a moment and then lifted her eyes to look over at Hikari. She wouldn't say that she forgot, but she didn't remember right away that they hadn't found one of the books. She nodded slightly. "There isn't even a guarantee that the relic will be in any of these spires." She paused. "I just made a guess at it since those places are supposed to be off limits." She said and then looked back down at the map. "...If we went with the one we didn't find the book on..." She mumbled and then set her finger down on one of he circles. "...I'm certain it was this one. It's easiest to get to by going to the sister island my parents live on." She said and then sighed quietly. "I think if we leave from the sister island we'll have less of a distance to travel to get to the island the spire is on." She added and then looked back to Hikari.
Nero held onto the knuckle until Celestine reached for it again. He shook his head slightly when Celestine's hand sank after taking it. He'd warned him it had some weight to it though he guessed it could surprise anyone who wasn't expecting them to be quite that heavy. He stood there and watched as Celestine stabbed the spike through and then waited for him to hand it back to him. Once he got it back he reached down to put it back into his pocket and then looked at Celestine again. "...You sure you don't want to add another notch." He paused. "Then again... I doubt you could get any smaller."
Kyran shook his head a little. "I think you're one of the only ones he's really violent with when it comes to waking people." Or at least he couldn't see Celestine kicking anyone else out of the bed. Well, except maybe Aamori if he was annoyed enough. He shook his head again lightly after listening to him. "Hit your head enough you might just reverse any damage you've already done." He sighed quietly and lifted his hand up to the back of his head at the mention of a knot. That reminded him of the one that Hikari had given him a couple days ago. It'd been gone for awhile now but he doubted he'd really go forgetting that right away. Especially since it wasn't everyday that he got kicked off of her and thrown to the ground.

Nanashi sighed softly when she said that he was in no shape to be getting hurt. "...I'll be fine, LaRae... I feel fine now." He was still a little anemic from the blood loss a few days prior, which was causing him to feel a little light headed on occasion, but he was doing well to ignore the dizziness when it came, and it passed quickly enough. He finally released her and then started to move back out toward the courtyard again to wait for everyone else to get ready to go.
Hikari nodded when Aamori reminded her that she wasn't even sure that was where the relic would be. "Well...it's still a good guess," she said simply as she looked at the map of where she had pointed, "There aren't many other places that it could be." She offered Aamori a smile when she looked back to her and then nodded again. "We'll start there then," she told her before she started to back up. "I need to get my bow and things and then we can go if everyone's ready." She placed her hand on Aamori's shoulder lightly and then started out of the room once again. She glanced toward the courtyard and then started around the hallway to the room she and Kyran were using, barely paying mind to Nero or Celestine. She just went in, grabbed her bow and hooked it over her should and then picked up her back. Her change of clothes weren't in there, but she assumed they would probably be coming back here anyway so she left them. After all, Kanone and Celestine seemed to be leaving their bags behind and she had noticed that Nanashi wasn't wearing his coat when she looked out. Once she'd strapped on her back again she started back out to the courtyard again, shutting the door behind her.
Celestine put his thumb to his mouth for a second after Nero had taken the knuckle back and then lowered his hand back to the belt and started to put it on again. He responded with a simple "no" when Nero asked if he wanted to add another notch, but ten turned right around and gave him an irritated glare when he added that last comment. "...You can keep your comments to yourself," he said shortly before he turned to walk away. He was already getting tired of hearing the comments on his size. He knew it was bad when even Nero had to pick at it. He sighed as he stepped onto the grass and bucked the belt while trying to pull the excess strap around so that it wasn't hanging out. He slipped the leather band that held it down back a good bit after sliding the rest of the strap under and then sighed as he approached the others again.
Kanone just laughed slightly at Kyran's comment, "Of course I am, I'm the only one he's sure won't kick his ass for it." He shorted when he said that hitting his head enough may reverse the damage. "Mmm....don't think it works that way," he said with a slight laugh. He glanced over when he saw Celestine coming back and fixing his belt and then sighed, "Oh goody, he looks pissed now, too," he said with a sigh. "Looks like Hikari's not alone."

LaRae sighed quietly and waited until Nanashi had let go of her and started back to the court yard to say anything. "...Yeah ...you say that." She mumbled quietly to herself. She had no real way of telling just how he felt other than to believe him when he said that he'd be fine. But she was also pretty sure that Nanashi was the type who would tell you that he was fine, when he wasn't, just so that you wouldn't worry about him. Since she had seen what shape he was in a few days ago she really found it hard to believe that he'd be back up to par already, so of course she was going to worry about him. She was pretty sure that Hikari and Celestine would be worried about him as well. Mostly because Celestine had already voiced that he'd be more comfortable with Nanashi not going with them and Hikari, well, she worried about everyone.
Aamori looked at Hikari and nodded her head after she had said that she needed to get her bow. She watched her start to leave and then turned her eyes back down to the book for a moment. This is was going to be a pain if the relic wasn't in the first spire that they looked in. There may have only been the four of them but they weren't all that close together and the only way to really get to one easily was to travel from the sister island to the island the spire was on. Then to top it all off one of the spires could really only be gotten to by taking the Elders island and not everyone was allowed to go there. She sighed quietly and started to close the book since she'd gotten a rough idea on what order she wanted to check the spires. She then proceeded to head to the door to get into the hallway, making sure to close the door behind her. She thought for a moment to make sure that she wasn't forgetting anything. She patted her holster for her staff and nodded her head slightly before she remembered about Kyiri. She couldn't just forget about her. Though, if she did Annan would probably check on her before she had a chance to go hungry. She headed down the hall all the way to the kitchen, quietly bypassing anyone who was on her way there. She paused at the door long enough to open it enough for Kyiri to get in and then started back over to the courtyard.
Nero merely shook his head a little at the glare he received from Celestine. He couldn't say that he didn't see something like that coming. He'd been around everyone long enough to pick up on certain things and screwing with Celestine was one surefire way to at least earn yourself a glare. He gave a slight nod of his head when Celestine told him that he could keep his comments to himself and then walked away. "...Of course I could ...but where's the fun in that?" He commented quietly with a shrug. He didn't talk that much as it was, so a comment or two here or there wasn't going to hurt anyone and if it did, well, they could just deal with it. He lifted his hand up and ran it through his hair a little before he shut the door behind him and started to head towards the courtyard as well. He didn't have to be out of the room long to already want to go back inside. The sun was as irritating as ever and one of these times he really wished they'd go looking for a relic at night. At least then his eyes wouldn't have to suffer.
Kyran shook his head slightly while he looked at Kanone. "...Of course it works that way." He paused. "You end up hitting your head so much that you can't remember that hitting your head made you stupid, so in turn, you think you're fine. Thus, reversing the damage." He laughed quietly. "At least to your knowledge anyway." He added. He glanced over to Celestine after he had heard Kanone's comment and then sighed. Why did so many have to be in sour mood today? He'd only expected Nero to be his usual anti social, grumpy self and instead he had Hikari and Celestine in less than pleasant moods too. "...Wonderful..." He muttered quietly. Maybe today wasn't going to be the best day to do this after all.

Nanashi glanced back to LaRae when he heard her muttering, though he hadn't understood what she said. He just paused and turned back to give her a reassuring smile before he continued walking out to stand with Kyran and Kanone.
Hikari glanced at Celestine when she saw him heading back over to the others and pulled up a little way behind him. As soon as she stepped out of the shadow of the building's walls the sun illuminated her silver mane of hair as well as caused her scales to shimmer and sparkle right along with every bare inch of her skin, just like usual. She sighed and crossed her arms as she came to a stop and glanced around to the others without a word. She glanced back to where Nero had been standing briefly to see if he was coming this way or hovering back there to wait. The only thing that didn't seem to completely light up when she was standing in the sun were her eyes; that was mostly a night thing.
Celestine pulled to a stop beside Kanone and then glanced back briefly when he heard someone behind him. He half expected to see Nero there thought he narrowed his eyes when he saw Hikari and then looked away again and rubbed his eyes a little before he shook his head and looked back to Kanone. Hikari was a little bright to look at this early in the morning. He gave him a slightly annoyed look and then huffed, "What are you looking that?"
Kanone laughed slightly and shook his head at Kyran's logic about hitting your head enough times and then glanced back to Celestine and Hikari as they came over. He just grinned when Celestine asked him what he was looking at and then reached down to grab the end of the belt, slipping it out of the loop so he could pull it out. "I think we could about make another belt out of this." he said with a laugh.
Celestine growled and slapped Kanone's hand away from the belt strap, "Would you drop it already!?" he snapped before he tucked the excess belt back into the loop again.
"Ow! ....Damn..." Kanone muttered as he rubbed his hand. "Cool your jets, would you?"

LaRae started to head out from the hallway after catching Nanashi's smile. She could really only hope for the best and wish like crazy that this relic wouldn't take forever to find and or get a hold of. So long as this relics guardian wasn't like the one for the wind she didn't think that she'd complain too much. Maybe they would luck out and this would be the easiest one yet. She came to a stop not too far off from where everyone else was gathering and sighed quietly, trying to put aside her worry for now.
Nero hesitated in the shadow of the hallway. His eyes still hadn't quite adjusted to the amount of light they were getting even from him being shaded. Maybe it wasn't so wise to go from such a dark room to the morning light like he had. He started to inch closer to the courtyard, honestly preparing to step out into the sun. He didn't get very far once he caught sight of Hikari and all of her sparkly eye irritating sun reflective glory. His vision almost instantly went white and he couldn't see anything at all. He closed his eyes and pinched them shut as he started to at least turn around, where he knew there was shade and stumbled back into the hallway a little. He used his extended hand to feel for the archway so he had some idea of where he was going and stopped once he was sure he was standing on the inside of one of the spaces between two arches. "...It's too bright..." He muttered as he set his back against the stone and started to open his eyes again to wait for the vision to come back.
Kyran watched as Kanone reached for the end of the belt and shook his head, already seeing where that was going. He couldn't believe that Kanone was seriously screwing with Celestine when he could tell that he wasn't in that great of a mood. He was honestly thinking about just going back to bed. He was barely fending off Hikari, he wasn't so sure he really wanted to deal with Kanone intentionally pestering Celestine too. Then on top of all of that he was really sore. So bed was certainly looking more appealing then going relic hunting with the lot of them. "...Kanone ...do me a favor?" He started and then sighed quietly. "For the duration of the time spent looking for this relic.... don't annoy Celestine any further than you already have." He paused. "I don't think I can put up with the number of crappy moods that are building up." He commented lastly.
Aamori stepped out into the courtyard and started to look around really quick to make sure that everyone was accounted for. She paused however when she caught sight of Nero, not so gracefully, stumbling back into the hallway. She tilted her head slightly, a little curious as to what was wrong with him. It hadn't hit here yet that his eyes were really that sensitive to the light and she'd pretty much already gotten used to the fact that Hikari sparkled like she did when the sun hit her. She was also quite used to the way the sun reflected off the water and the white sands as well, so her sparkly appearance really didn't bother her that much. "...I think we can go ahead and go, once everyone's ready." She said while she continued to stare over in Nero's direction.

Nanashi blinked when he saw Celestine smacked Kanone's hand and then sighed softly and shook his head. He was inclined to agree with Kyran on his request, Celestine already looked half ready to go on a killing spree. He reached over and placed a hand on Celestine's shoulder gently, offering him a weak smile. "...Don't get so mad. He's only teasing," he said quietly.
Celestine just sighed heavily and glanced back to Nanashi. "Yeah yeah, I know. He's just getting on my nerves," he muttered as he crossed his arms. He at least knew better than to yell at Nanashi, especially after this morning.
Nanashi just smiled again slightly, "That's not too hard," he commented with a chuckle.
Celestine blinked and then looked back up to him with a half smile. For some reason it wasn't quite so irritating when Nanashi said things like that, though that was mostly because the soft tone he used was assurance enough that he meant it in good humor and not just to be a pest, "Yeah...well don't you start." he said as he lightly pushed Nanashi's had off of his shoulder.
"Hmm...sorry," he said with a slightly apologetic smile.
He couldn't help but half smile before he looked away, shaking his head. "Yeah yeah, whatever," he said as he rolled his eyes a little.
Kanone sighed heavily, and waved his hand at Kyran's request, "Alright, alright, no more pestering the little guy, got it." he said simply, though he glanced over to Nanashi when he heard him speaking to Celestine, "Heeey, how come you don't yell at him when he says things like that?"
"Because he knows when to stop talking," Celestine responded bluntly. He glanced over to Aamori and then nodded slightly, "I'm ready," he said before his eyes trailed off in the direction that she was looking. He raised an eyebrow slightly at Nero, though it didn't take him too long to figure out that his eyes had been hit with the same thing that had made him have to turn his head.
Hikari sighed when she saw the way that Nero was stumbling back and then looked down at her arms, which were sparking almost like coated with tiny trace amounts of glitter on top of being so white they almost glowed. She never really noticed just how bright she was in the sun compared to the others. She knew, but it never really struck her. After a second she backed up so that she was standing in the shadows again, canceling out all of the iridescent sparkles. She shimmied back a little closer to Nero and tilted her head slightly, "...Is it really that bad?" she asked curiously, obviously referring to her shininess.

Nero lifted his hand to rub his eyes gently for a brief moment before he started to blink repeatedly. He couldn't help but turn his head away so that he couldn't see Hikari. Since she'd come over the last thing he wanted to do right this instance while his vision was returning was to accidentally go and blind himself again by looking at her. Then again, here in the shadows she was less likely to be as bright as she was. "...It is when the past twelve hours, give or take has been spent in a pitch black room." He muttered quietly. He really should've known better than to go looking anywhere in her direction, at least not until his eyes had adjusted properly. "Needless to say... you're rather blinding on the eyes if they haven't adjusted to the light."
Kyran was glad that Kanone had so easily agreed to not pester Celestine. He would certainly hold him to that, or at least try to. He shifted his glance slightly since Hikari had moved and watched as she went closer to Nero. He was starting to wonder what had possessed Nero to show up at the festival without the protective glasses that a lot of the dark dragons had. At least all the ones that he had ever run across outside of Shyama wore the same glasses. With such sensitive eyes you'd think it'd be second nature to bring them along. He shrugged a bit. If Nero forgot them than maybe it served him right to be blinded once in awhile. He finally glanced over to Aamori and nodded his head a bit. "I'm ready too." He responded. If he had to guess, right now they were only really waiting on Nero to get his sight in line.
Aamori nodded a little when Celestine and Kyran said that they were both ready and then looked back over towards Nero for a moment since Hikari had gone closer to him. "...Well... I guess we can go ahead and start out. Nero usually takes the back anyway." She said as she turned and started to head for the door. She was kind of in a hurry to get started, if it wasn't obvious. It was already a little past noon and they had only so many hours of day light to get in as many of the spires as possible. So the less time spent here, dawdling the better. Once she reached the door she opened it and held it while she glanced back to see if everyone was coming. This was some large group, eight of them and then two canines. At least she assumed that Esen and Nobu were coming too since their blades were.

Hikari sighed softly when she heard Nero's answer and then shook her head. "Sorry," she said quietly, "I guess I'm probably rather blinding no matter what if you're not used to it... It's rather annoying, really." She sighed again and crossed her arms slightly, "...Mm...you're going to hate Glenys..." she muttered quietly, speaking more to herself than to him, though she sounded almost concerned. After all she didn't need him blinded to the point of tripping everywhere when they got there. She was going to have to look into getting him some sun glasses of some kind. She chuckled slightly, "Is that part of the reason your clan hates mine so much—we blind you?" she asked in a half joking tone. She glanced back to the others again when she noticed them moving and sighed, "...Mm...Come on, we're getting left." She reached down and snagged his wrist before giving him a rather hard tug to get him away from the wall. She slipped round behind him and then gave him a gentle push, "Why don't I walk in back today?" If she wasn't in his line of sight she couldn't very well hurt his eyes."
Nanashi gave a nod that he was ready as well and then started after Aamori when she started to move toward the door. He glanced back to LaRae reached for her hand to give it a tug, signaling for her to walk beside him, though he had a feeling she probably would have wound up there eventually anyway. He glanced over to Hikari and Nero as they walked, a little surprised to see Hikari talking like she was in a halfway decent mood to Nero no less. It was really odd not seeing her glued to Kyran.
Celestine just nodded and then started after Aamori when she went for the door, not even bothering to make sure everyone else was coming. He wasn't too worried about Nero getting left, he was sure he'd catch up eventually; he always did.
Kanone sighed as he started after Celestine, adjusting the swallow slightly so that it was resting in a more comfortable position as he walked. He shook his head and then stretched a little before rubbing his head again. He still had a little bit of a headache thanks to Celestine, so he wasn't exactly looking forward to all of the action right now. He'd rather go back and catch a few more Z's.

Nero shook his head slightly. "Annoying is an understatement." He commented quickly. The fact that every square inch of her shown or sparkled in the sun was a hell of a lot worse than annoying. Especially on his eyes as compared to everyone elses. He sighed quietly and shrugged a little. "...That is probably a minisucle reason as to why my clan hates yours." He admitted. He wasn't even certain himself why their clans feuded like they did. He couldn't even say for sure that her clan hated his as much as his clan hated hers, but one thing was for sure... they didn't get along. He finally looked at her, or her hand rather since she'd grabbed his wrist and gave him a hard tug. He hadn't noticed that they were leaving yet, mostly because he hadn't been looking. He'd have caught up though, even without her pulling him like she had. His eyes followed her briefly when she moved behind him. He sighed again quietly when he heard what she said and then shook his head. "...You can go glue yourself to Kyran's hip." He told her. "You've never worried about what your sparkling does to my eyes before, why start now." He muttered quietly.
LaRae was going to get beside Nanashi on her own once they had gotten started. Though she wasn't going to argue with him having taken her hand and giving it a tug. It was kind of nice to be told like that, that he wanted her to walk beside him. She of course took to his side easily and intended to stay there at the very least until they got to where they were going.
Kyran waited until most everyone had gotten their feet in motion before he started for the door. He paused however and had to look back into the courtyard. He knew something was missing, and frankly, it was a little weird. "Nobu, come on." He called seeing as Nobu was just sitting there as if waiting to be told it was okay to come. "...What's gotten into you..." He mumbled quietly while he waited for Nobu to catch up to him. He reached down and rubbed the top of his head a little and then continued on.
Nobu had just been sitting there watching everyone and when they started to leave he hadn't budged. At least not until he heard Kyran call for him. He'd kind of gotten a little used to being told what to do. Like when to come. Not to mention he was a little curious as to who'd call for him. He'd never admit it but now that Celestine had Esen around there wasn't exactly a dire need for him to be around Celestine as much and that bothered him a little. He'd grown to like Celestine after all. He also hated to admit that he was a little jealous of the fact that Esen could fly. She could go everywhere that he couldn't and she made it look so very easy. Once Kyran had called him his ears perked and he wasted no time at all rushing over to walk beside Kyran. At least he knew with Kyran that so long as he had the blades he'd always be needed.
Aamori continued to stand there and keep the door open until most everyone had gotten out. As soon as Kyran had reached the door he was nice enough to take it from her. She scooted back out and started to walk in the direction of the island that her parents lived on. She hoped that no one was outside of her parents house. If either of her parents were than they'd surely want to stop and ask a bunch of questions. Especially inquire about all of the other people with her this time. Then, if her brother was out he'd likely want to come with her just because he was over protective like that. She shook her head a little at the thought. Having everyone meet her brother was more than enough for her, especially since her parents weren't really that great of parents anyway. At least not since she'd started living in the training building. She sighed quietly, having noticed that she let her mind wander why off track.

Hikari sighed softly when she heard what he said and then shook his head. "...I didn't really know about your eyes before. It's all just so normal for me, I never thought about how bright it was until now," she admitted quietly. "It's not like I glitter just to spite you; I can't really help it that much. If you'd said something before now I would have tried to stay in the shade or something. Just because it pains you to be civil to me doesn't mean I take pleasure in hurting your eyes..." She gave him another gentle push with her fingertips and then sighed again, "Besides...Kyran's the one I'm fuming at right now," she muttered under her breath, "So walk already."
Nanashi glanced over to LaRae and then smiled slightly at her, giving her hand a slight squeeze before he let it go once they'd exited the building. He paused just outside to wait for Aamori and then once she'd gotten out, he started after her again.
Celestine's ear twitched when he heard Kyran call for Nobu to come on and he turned around to look at him as he trotted after Kyran. He sighed softly, feeling a bit guilty for forgetting that he was standing back there, though he'd expected him to just take up pace with them like he had in the past. He was just a little preoccupied with his own brooding thoughts. Hearing Kyran ask Nobu what had gotten into him did make him wonder a little. As soon as he got out the door he scooted over to stand by the wall where they would have to come out and then waited until Kanone had passed him before he started looking for Nobu. As soon as Nobu got outside he moved closer and gently placed his hand on top of his head, rubbing his ears lightly. "Are you feeling alright, Nobu?" he thought to him, sounding a little concerned. He didn't know if Nobu wasn't feeling well or what. "...Or is something bothering you?" He did still care for Nobu just as much as he had before Esen showed up, though it may not have really showed. He'd just all but given up on sleeping in the bedroom with him since he couldn't sleep through Kanone and his snoring, but he'd never asked Nobu to come sleep outside with him since he was pretty sure Nobu liked the chance to use the bed if he didn't mind sleeping up there with Kanone and since he hadn't followed him outside those nights without an invite he'd just assumed he was happy where he was. In all honesty he hadn't even invited Esen to start sleeping with him, she just stuck to him like glue unless he was around everyone else and then she usually stayed off to herself or tried to hide behind him. He didn't even think of Nobu being jealous.
Kanone sighed when he saw Celestine standing by the door and then shook his head. He just sighed before he found himself waiting for Aamori and then scurried up to walk beside her once she'd gotten going again. "...Something up?" he asked as he leaned forward slightly, tilting his head a little so he could see her face more clearly. "You look preoccupied."

Nero sighed quietly after listening to Hikari. She really did talk a lot. "...It doesn't really matter one way or the other what you do. The sun alone is enough to bother my eyes and you can't very well block that out." He said quietly. "With a little time my eyes will adjust to the sun light at least and it won't be quite as bad. So you can stop being concerned about it." He started to walk after she'd pushed him again. "You're actually livid with Kyran?" He paused and laughed quietly. "I was beginning to think that wasn't even possible." He commented while shaking his head a little in disbelief. The way those two were always around one another it was pretty hard to believe that she was angry at him.
Nobu lifted his head slightly to look up at Celestine after he had touched his head. After a moment he dropped his head back down. '...Yes, I'm feeling fine.' He answered. '...And nothing's bothering me.' He answered again. He wasn't going to admit anything easily and right now he knew where the priorities were and they weren't on what was bothering him. The group had to find that water relic and then after that he might be a little more inclined to release some information. Even then, he wasn't even sure that he would want to admit that he was jealous over anything. Especially not Esen.
Aamori startled slightly when she heard Kanone and then started to glance over at him. "Oh.. um.. no." She answered quickly. "Not really." She added. There wasn't really anything up at least not anything important that they needed to deal with. She glanced back briefly to make sure that everyone was coming. It wasn't like they could really get lost on this little excursion so even if they weren't right behind her they'd be able to catch up. The only area she was even going to be a little worried about was when they had to cross the water to the other smaller island. That wasn't going to be real easy if you weren't paying attention to what you were doing and where you were going. She looked back in front of her where she was walking and eyed the bridge that they were going to have to cross.

Hikari started after Nero when he started walking and sighed again, "...Trust me, I can get livid with anyone... Especially when someone older and supposedly wiser decides to take a sixteen-year-old's advice and do something completely and utterly senseless and...and...irresponsible." She huffed again and then crossed her arms again, getting irritated all over again. She looked back to Nero again, "...Anyway..." she trailed off, thinking to herself out loud, "...Don't you have glasses or something to stop the glare?" she asked curiously.
Celestine sighed softly when he heard Nobu's answer. He wasn't all that convinced, but he couldn't very well pry an answer out of Nobu right now. "Alright...if you say so..." he responded unsurely. He smiled slightly and started to scratch him gently behind the ears. He was at least a little comforted by Nobu's presence as usual. He was nervous about this trip, like he was about the ones before, though...this being the water relic, he didn't even want to think about what the guardian was like. After all...he and water didn't mix all that well. He combed his fingers down through Nobu's fur for a few moments and then stopped dead. "Oh crap..." He looked back toward the training building, glad that he hadn't gotten all that far away. He put his fingers to his lips and whistled, trying to get Esen's attention. He'd never really tried calling her like that, but he hoped she'd get the idea. He wasn't so sure he could call her the other way from this far away.
Esen's ears perked up when she heard the whistle. She knew the others had been leaving, but she wasn't sure if she was supposed to follow or not. She had been waiting for Celestine to tell her something but since he hadn't she just stayed on the roof where she'd been hiding. When she heard him whistle she ran to the outer edge of the roof and looked down before realizing he was waiting. She jumped from the roof and opened her wings to glide to the ground before she ran to catch up with him, trying to avoid everyone else. She nuzzled her head against his leg as she fell in place beside him.
Celestine sighed softly and rubbed the top of Esen's head lightly. "Sorry..." he said quietly as he stated walking again. He looked back over to Nobu again and sighed softly as he reached over to stroke his fur again. '...Do you know if something's bothering Nobu?' he thought to Esen, trying to keep Nobu from picking up on it.
Esen tilted her head slightly and then looked over to Nobu. She shimmied over to Celestine's other side and then nudged Nobu gently with her nose. She didn't know what was wrong with him but...then again she didn't know too much of anything. She looked back to Celestine again. "I thought you were the one in a bad mood today," she responded, "...Where are we going?"
Kanone smiled slightly and then shook his head when she startled. "Mmm...right..." he said quietly. He sighed and put an arm around her for a moment, giving her shoulders a light squeeze before he dropped his arm. "Better clear your head, we don't need you jumping like that later," he said with a soft chuckle. He glanced ahead at the bridge, "Hm...this the island you didn't want to go to before?" he asked with a half smile. He didn't think this was the same bridge that she'd shoved him down behind, but then again...he wasn't too sure. They looked about alike.

Nero's ears twitched a little catching the tone that Hikari used when she spoke. He assumed after listening to her that Kyran had listened to Celestine and well, did something she didn't like. What else was new? Guys didn't always do things that were considered smart, at least in a woman's eyes anyway. He and his troop could vouch for that. He paused and turned to look at Hikari. He reached up and lightly slapped his hands to the sides of her face simultaneously. "Come on princess, you of all people can't be getting irate at a time like this." He paused and dropped his hands. "We don't need you getting peeved enough that you accidentally shoot Kyran instead." He joked and then turned back around and continued walking.
Nobu didn't bother looking back up at Celestine when he spoke to him again, he just continued walking. He did pause however when Celestine stopped and then shook his head a little when he noticed that Celestine had forgotten Esen. Well, at least Kyran remembered him before he left the building. He started walking again, not bothering to try and listen in to anything that Celestine and Esen could be talking about. It wouldn't be that hard to do but he did know better than to eavesdrop. He looked to Esen briefly when he felt her nudge him with her nose. He stayed where he was for a moment and then decided to move. He let himself fall back until he could walk beside Kyran, something he hadn't done in awhile.
Kyran's attention shifted slightly while he was walking when he noticed that Nobu was actually falling back so that he could walk beside him for a change. He'd gotten so used to Nobu walking with Celestine that seeing Nobu choosing not to walk with Celestine was a little weird. He was definitely thinking something was up now. He sighed softly and reached down to pat him on the head gently.
Aamori glanced up at him after he'd given her shoulders a squeeze and then sighed quietly. She looked ahead at the bridge once they'd neared it and then shifted her eyes back towards Kanone. "...It's pretty much the same as the other island that I'd shown you." She told him. She didn't want to admit she didn't want to come to this island. She hadn't minded so much that Hikari and Kyran had been here and met her parents but she didn't really want anyone else meeting them. Especially not Celestine or Kanone. It couldn't possibly get anymore embarrassing than the two guys that she liked meeting her parents. "...We're not going to be on this island for that long. It's just easier to get where we're going if we use this to shorten the distance." She said after she'd started crossing the bridge.

Hikari slowed down a bit when Nero turned around, but she froze solid when he grabbed her face, even dropping her arms. She nearly jerked back, but managed not to move away from him. She was just a little surprised by the motion. Wide as her eyes already were, when the word 'princess' left his mouth they somehow managed to get a little wider. Was he joking or had he figured out who she was? She blinked once, trying to rationalize with herself. He couldn't know, the only thing that gave her away was that gem in her head and no one else had figured that out until Kyran told them...and Kyran and Aamori were the only ones that were really even in any position to make something on the gem. If Kyran hadn't opened his big mouth she probably could have gotten off without LaRae or Nanashi knowing about her true identity, either. When he finally dropped his hands and turned around she finally remembered to breathe again and let her breath out in a 'whoosh.' "...I'm not going to shoot anything but what I'm aiming for..." she said with a sigh as she crossed her arms and continued after him again. "And don't call me princess," she mumbled quietly.
Celestine sighed when Esen pointed out that he was the one that was in a bad mood today. Gee, was it that obvious? He shook his head and just glanced back to her again to answer her question. "We're going to retrieve a relic... That's what we've been doing on this trip." He blinked when he noticed Nobu falling back. He stopped walking for a moment and then looked to see where Nobu was going. He sighed softly and then turned back to the front again and continued walking. Apparently Nobu didn't really care to talk to him right now. He didn't know why he felt a little shunned; after all, Nobu was Kyran's dog.
Esen tilted her head as she listened to Celestine and then glanced back to Nobu when he fell back. She tilted her head again and whined softly before she looked back to Celestine. She took a few more steps as her ears fell back. She knew that Kyran was Nobu's master, but he did seem to usually stay with Celestine. In fact he had been with Celestine up until she came over to talk beside him. "...Nobu....are you mad at me?" she asked with a soft whine. She didn't know why else he would act like that.
Kanone nodded slightly as he continued to walk beside Aamori. "Hmm? Oh really? ....Where are we going anyway?" he asked finally. No one had told him anything other than to get up because they were leaving. He sighed softly as he glanced around a bit while they crossed over the bridge. This island really wasn't much different from the other one, other than the houses were a little nicer, as she'd said before.

Nero glanced back over his shoulder once to look at Hikari and then snickered quietly. "I wouldn't put it past you to aim for Kyran if you mad enough, princess." He teased. If she didn't want him to call her 'princess' than she really should've thought twice about telling him not to call her that. Of course now that he knew she didn't want to be called by that he'd likely go out of his way to say it more often just to annoy her. He didn't even care too much if he irritated her with the mood that she was in. Though, he'd hate to admit he knew better than to go pushing buttons when they had something important to be doing. "Oh... and to answer your previous question..." He paused. "I do have special glasses that help protect my eyes from the sun." He'd forgotten to answer that before. "...Before you go asking where mine are ...a buddy of mine had forgotten his and I gave him mine at the festival." He told her since he already figured she'd ask.
Nobu continued to walk beside Kyran, occasionally glancing between Celestine and Esen. He couldn't help thinking that Celestine wasn't going to need his help with the whole sleeping thing, either. Esen was even going to be around after the trip was said and done whereas he would have to go back to Radha with Kyran. He stared at Esen for a moment when he heard her question. '...No ...of course not.' He responded trying to sound as reassuring as possible. He wasn't mad at her or anything, but he was still jealous of her and hoped that wasn't showing at.
Kyran glanced around a little once he'd gotten to the bridge and headed over it. He recognized the area and remembered that Aamori's parents lived on this island. He was a little curious as to where exactly they were going. Aamori hadn't exactly briefed everyone on where they were going. The only person he thought that she really told anything to was Hikari. Though if he remembered correctly Hikari had briefly told him a little bit, nothing in great detail though.
Aamori felt a little silly after she heard Kanone ask where they were going. Now that she thought about it she didn't remember really telling anyone where they were going. Hikari was the only one, other than maybe Celestine. But she couldn't remember what all she'd told him. She sighed quietly while she continued to walk, noticing that they were nearing where her parents lived. It didn't look like anyone was outside, which was good. "There's a series of four small islands that are a little ways out from the sister islands. They're hidden in the fog so they aren't easily spotted." She paused. "There are spires, or towers, which ever you prefer to call them on the smaller islands. They're off limits to pretty much everyone, so I thought that those might be a good place to check first." She sighed quietly as she glanced over at her parents house as they passed it. "I have no guarantee that the relic will even be in one of the four spires." She admitted quietly. After they had gone down a little further from where her parents lived, roughly to the middle of the island she cut through the side of someone's yard so that they could get to the edge of the island just before the water started and then came to a stop.

Hikari gave Nero another dirty look when he called her princess again and huffed, "...Keep that up and I just might have to aim for your tail..." she muttered under her breath. She smirked slightly as she listened to the answer to her previous question, all the while moving closer to him. Once beside him she latched onto his arm the way a clingy girlfriend might, "I'll make a deal with you, Nero... Don't call me princess and I wont call you Muffin," she said sweetly. She continued to cling to him for a moment and then laughed slightly as she let his arm go and fell back a couple of paces again. She still wasn't in all that great of a mood, but for some reason standing back here and pestering Nero seemed to be helping a little. Who couldn't enjoy a little good natured teasing? If Nero wanted to push her buttons she didn't mind pushing right back at his.
Celestine continued to walk silently, though his eyes turned to Esen when he caught her question to Nobu. He sighed quietly and continued to look ahead, trying to tune out their conversation. He didn't want to listen to everything that they were saying, but he still didn't know how to block them out. All he could do was try to ignore the little voices he was hearing in his head, though at the same time his curiosity wouldn't let him not listen. He sighed softly and continued walking a little ways behind Nanashi and LaRae.
Esen tilted her head slightly when she heard Nobu's answer and then sighed softly. "...Are you mad at Celestine then?..." She asked quietly, "You were always with him in the building..." she pointed out. She had noticed even in the short time that she'd been there that Celestine usually hovered around Nobu unless some of the people that annoyed him came around, and then he retreated up to the roof. She always followed him up there just because she didn't like being around all of those strangers and Celestine was, in her book, the easiest one to put up with of the bunch.
Kanone listened silently and tilted his head a little before he nodded. He had caught her glancing at one of the houses as they passed it and couldn't help giving it a once over. It didn't look much different than the others around so he guessed she must have known who lived there. He half smiled when she said that she had no guarantee that the relic would be there. "Well, it's a place to start, right?" he asked lightly. He followed her through the yard and then down to the sand before he stopped where she did. He glanced around again and groaned softly, "We have to fly there? That fog is crazy..."

Nero’s eyes only widened for a brief second when he felt Hikari latch onto his arm. That was a little sudden, though he wasn’t exactly sure he could say that it bothered him too much. On the other hand, it looked terrible, him of all people with a light dragon clinging to him and talking sweetly. He knew she was only screwing right back with him. He stared down at her after hearing her propose a deal. If he didn’t call her princess, she wouldn’t call him muffin. He shook his head lightly and laughed quietly. “Muffin?” He shook his head again. “I’d like to say I’ve never heard that one before.” He paused. “Try as you might you can call me just about anything you like and it won’t bother me, princess.” He snickered. He continued walking for a few more steps before he stopped and turned on his heel so that he was facing her again. He leaned down a little so that he was more or less on her level and then inched closer like he was going press his lips to her cheek but pulled back at the last minute and just stared at her with a smirk plastered on his face. “Pet names are cute and all but what would Kyran think if he heard you calling me, muffin?” He paused. “On top of that you’ve also caught me in my underwear… what… twice now? Does he even know?” He snickered quietly.
Nobu stared ahead of him at Esen and shook his head a little. Why was it when someone picked up on there being something wrong they couldn’t just drop it and let it go after they asked one question? There was always a series of questions… He shook his head again. ‘No. I’m not mad at him either.’ He told her. ‘I’m not mad at anyone.’ He added for good measure. He doubted that either of them would be able to guess what was wrong with him and even if by some miraculous chance either of them did, he didn’t think he’d admit to anything. He wasn’t so sure he really wanted to admit to being jealous of anyone.
LaRae had followed after Aamori and Kanone, while keeping herself beside Nanashi. Once Aamori had come to a stop, finally, she did too after she caught up to them the rest of the way. While they were walking she was kind of liking that she got to see a little of the island that she hadn’t seen before. This was her first time on one of these sister islands. She was a little curious herself now, as to where they were going. After all, Aamori had stopped right in front of the water and it looked like she had intended to out over it. If she had been paying close enough attention to Aamori moments earlier she might have heard the conversation that she was having with Kanone.
Aamori nodded slightly. “Yes, it is.” She was at least glad that she had a place to start. She’d be a little more than embarrassed if she had to admit that after all of this time she had no idea where to even start. That would just be a little pathetic. She glanced over at Kanone when she heard him comment about the fog after asking if they had to fly there. “There isn’t really any other way to get there…” She said quietly. “…Navigating shouldn’t be that hard though.” She paused. “The fog is artificial. The mechanics who worked on the spires needed a way to get to the smaller islands too.” She started to explain. She knelt down a little and looked out over the water before she pointed a little. “There.” She paused. “There’s a path. It isn’t too obvious, but the fog is a few feet from the water. So… if you don’t mind flying close to the water you should be fine.”

Hikari sighed heavily and then shook her head before she crossed her arms again when he said that there wasn't much that she could call him that would bother him. Well... that sucked. She could think of at lest one thing to call him that annoyed him, though she didn't really want to steal Kanone's thunder. When he stopped so suddenly, and turned about she almost walked right into him, though she stopped herself just in time, throwing her hands up in front of her. She felt herself blushing when he got so close to her cheek and then gave him a bit of a look for startling her like that. When he asked what Kyran would think of her calling him 'Muffin' she just crossed her arms again as her ears laid back, "Probably that I had lost my ever loving mind..." she said bluntly, though when he went on to add about how many time's she'd caught him in his undergarments her face flushed an even darker shade of red and she gritted her teeth together before she pounced him and grabbed his shoulders tightly, jerking him closer. "You say one word to him and I swear I'll massacre yo—OW!" she yelped and pulled back when she accidentally head butted him, thus ramming the gem back into her head a little. She winced and held her hand to her forehead for a moment and groaned before lowering it again, careful to leave her bangs falling where they should. She blinked as she looked around him and realized how far ahead the others were. "Ahh! We're falling behind!" she said quickly as she reached for his shoulders again to spin him back around in the first direction, "Get moving!" she said quickly, pushing him lightly from behind. She wasn't really that worried about falling behind since she knew where they were going, but she was kind of hoping that would sidetrack Nero a bit in case he had noticed that she'd popped him in the head with more than her own forehead.
Esen tilted her head again at Nobu after he said that he wasn't mad at anyone. Her tails wagged slightly at that news and she was obviously glad to hear it, "But—" she started before Celestine's hand on her head cut her off.
Celestine sighed softly when he heard Esen about to continue so he reached over to put his hand on her head, hoping it would stop her. "Esen, let him be, okay? Don't pester him about whatever it is. He'll walk with us if he feels like it, that's what he's been doing all along. He's let me hog him the majority of this trip, he can walk with Kyran if he wants; he doesn't need an explanation. He smiled slightly as he glanced down to her, "...You can walk where you like, too. You don't have to stay right with me all of the time. You can go back and walk with him if you want to." he told her, since she seemed to be so worried.
Esen looked up to Celestine again when he started to talk to her and then her hears fell back a little when she heard what he first said. She hadn't realized he was listening or that she was being bothersome. When he told her that she could walk where she liked her ears perked up and she tilted her head before glancing back again. She gave Celestine's hand a quick lick before she stopped walking and moved off to the side a little to wait a few moments for Nobu to catch up. She glanced up at Kyran but then nuzzled against Nobu lightly. 'Sorry...' she said quietly.
Celestine glanced back momentarily and almost slowed to a stop when Esen stopped walking, though he just half smiled and looked away before continuing forward, only to realize that they were already coming to a stop at the breach. He glanced out at the water and then sighed heavily. 'Great...I hate flying over water... If I fall in I'm screwed...' he thought as he continued forward to stand next to Kanone, just in time to hear what Aamori said about flying close to the water.
Kanone smiled slightly, "I don't care... haha Celestine's going to hate it though." he commented lightly before he realized that Celestine had moved up beside him. He looked back to him and blinked when he saw his expression. He couldn't help but laugh at how wide his eyes were. "Haha what's wrong, Cel, afraid you'll drown if you fall in?"
Celestine got a hold of himself quickly and then crossed his arms as he looked away. "No!" he snapped shortly though as he glanced back over the water again he sighed quietly. 'Yes...of course. You know I can't swim, you jerk...' he thought to himself again before he sighed.
Nanashi came to a stop when LaRae did and glanced out over the water. He had been listening to Aamori when she explained where they were going, mostly because he'd been wanting to ask himself before. He was kind of relieved when Kanone asked, since it seemed like he wasn't the only one that had no idea. He thought she'd probably told everyone else while he wasn't around or wasn't paying attention or something. He blinked when she said that the navigating wouldn't be too hard if they didn't mind flying close to the water. He looked out at the fog until he saw what she was talking about and then sighed. "...That's a pretty narrow opening..." he said quietly. With only a few feet between ocean and blinding fog, he wasn't so sure how easy this flight was going to be. After all, low altitudes were kind of hard to keep steady...for him at least. He doubted that Kanone or Celestine would really have too much trouble with it.

Nero shook his head a little once he had heard her answer his question about what Kyran would think. He was about ready to turn around and continue walking but couldn't since Hikari had pounced him and taken hold of his shoulders. He just stood there and listened to her, at least until she headbutted him. He scrunched up his face a little once their heads collided and then lifted his hand to his head. "...If you're going to threaten me, I think you'd do better not to screw up the threat by headbutting me before you finish." He muttered as he rubbed his head a little. He sighed quietly when she spun him around and started pushing him again. He glanced back over his shoulder at her for a moment and then started walking on his own, without needing her to push him. "...You've got a hard head..." He muttered half wondering if that was just her head that hit him.
Nobu tilted his head slightly when Esen started to say something else and was cut off. He only listened in to part of their conversation before he blocked it out. He glanced up to Kyran for a moment and then started to look ahead of him again, a little surprised to see that Esen had stopped walking beside Celestine and appeared to be waiting for him to catch up to her. He looked over at her for a moment after she nuzzled against him and apologized. '...It's alright.' He responded quietly. He could be jealous of her all night and day but he couldn't be mad at her for anything; she was just too nice. He finally came to a stop just beside Kyran once he had stopped. He continued to stand beside Kyran for a moment before he inched closer to the water. Already he wasn't liking this too much. He didn't hate water or anything but he knew what happened when his fur got too wet.
Kyran glanced over to Esen briefly when he noticed that she wasn't walking with Celestine any more. He tilted his head a little. He kind of hoped this didn't mean he was going to wind up with the dogs glued to him this time. He didn't mind one bit having to take care of animals, but he couldn't deny that it was a little nicer when someone else would do it for you. Once everyone started stopping he did as well, stopping a few paces back from the water itself.
LaRae glanced over at Aamori once she had knelt down and tried to look where she was pointing but without kneeling down herself it seemed that might be a little difficult. She finally gave in when she heard Nanashi's comment and stepped a little closer to Aamori so that she could lower herself down enough to see clearly what she'd pointed out. After a moment she stood back up and sighed quietly. She was at least thankful that her wings weren't broken anymore or else this may have been a lot more difficult for her than it should be. "...The opening, it's what.. two and a half, maybe three feet from the water?" She paused. "...It doesn't seem impossible." She commented. Obviously this wasn't meant to be simple.
Aamori glanced up at Kanone while she was still kneeling. After his comment about Celestine hating it she shifted slightly so that she could look over at him. She sighed quietly when she heard Celestine snap an answer at Kanone. Well, if he wasn't afraid of falling in she doubted that he'd have snapped at him like that. She finally started to stand back up and then looked over to Nanashi and nodded her head slightly. "It's supposed to be like that." She then glanced to LaRae after hearing her. "...I couldn't really tell you exactly what the measurements are... and honestly... I wasn't even sure these openings were really here." She said quietly. The books that her and Hikari had found didn't even tell how to get to the islands. She had a chance to ask Lady Levana something when she was showing her Nen and she thought to ask about how to get to the islands. Of course Lady Levana didn't give a straight answer so she just hoped that she was given decent information. She glanced back over to Kanone and then to Celestine briefly. "...It'd be hard to fly that opening and carry someone ...so I'm going to walk across." She paused. "...I can help maybe two others across that way without much trouble." She thought she might just throw that out there just in case someone really was uncomfortable with having to fly themselves across.
