Kanone finally managed to catch his breath and turned his head so that he could see what was going on. He blinked when he saw the glowing arrow sticking out of Varun's head. He didn't know how the guy was still moving after that. He could safely say that he quickly lost his appetite after watching him rip open his own chest and snag the relic. His only working eye widened when he saw him get ready to chuck the relic at the window, "Ahh!" he shouted in protest as he started to get up quickly, but he didn't get anywhere at all before the window crashed open and the pain from inhaling so sharply with his protest hit him. He cringed and then fell back to where he was sitting before, clutching his rib tightly while he stared at the window with one of those 'I can't believe he just did that' stares. He might have voiced that look had breathing and speaking not hurt so much. When Aamori ran over to the window he just groaned and then fell over onto Celestine's shoulder, closing his only open eye again while mumbling something akin to 'shoot me' in their native language. He, of course, did not really want to be shit, but now that the fight was over and Varun was good and dead, he had no reason to want to move anymore. He could be happy just curled up right here so long as he didn't have to move and nothing made him gasp or anything too deeply. If it wasn't obvious already to some, Kanone was a bit of a baby when it came to being in pain. He was able to ignore it during a fight but once the fight was over he just wanted to go curl up in bed until he felt like moving again.

Celestine's attention was fully on Kanone until he notice the change in light as it few by. He looked up in time to watch the arrow shoot through Varun's forehead and come out the other side. He nearly gagged at the sight and then quickly turned his head away when he saw him dig into his own chest and shut his eyes tightly while he swallowed hard. The sound of Kanone's short lived protest and the glass shattering startled him slightly and he looked back toward the window just as Varun was collapsing. He watched as the arrow that was stuck through his head flickered a couple of times and then disappeared, leaving a perfectly round hole in his head, though there was no blood coming from it. The heat seemed to have scorched the area so that it didn't bleed, but it definitely left a hole there. He watched as Aamori ran to the window and for some reason wanted to tell her not to stand on the body. After all, there were not enemies among the dead, and there was no reason to disrespect him now. Before he could decide whether or not he wanted to say something, however, Kanone startled him by falling over against him. He sighed softly and then put his arms around him gently to help hold him up. "Does it hurt that bad?" he asked quietly as he tried to look at the area that Kanone was holding. He couldn't see anything but a darker patch spreading out slowly through the wet blue fabric. He already looked worried as he looked down to Kanone's maimed face and started to gently move his hair out of his cuts and saw how deep they were. There was already a decent amount of blood pouring out of his face and oozing down his neck, though that was to be expected from any such deep wound on the face, especially when there was more than one. After a moment he wrapped his other arm around him a little more securely and leaned his head closer to him while he raised his other hand to his face so that it hovered just above his face. He looked almost like he was giving him a pity hug, and he sort of was, but he was also healing the cuts on his face up since he knew that Hikari had already been going around healing everyone else and didn't want to have her too worn out. He hoped that she would be able to heal his other wounds because he had no idea how to go about healing bone.

Kanone opened his good eye again and glanced up to Celestine when he put his arms around him and then smiled weakly, "...Not...really...but...it hurts...," he responded quietly, sounding breathless as he tried to keep his lungs from expanding enough to move his ribs a whole lot. He was having a hard time keeping his breathing shallow, but he was at least managing not to complain the way he normally might have. He knew that he wasn't the only one hurting right now and he wasn't quite as egotistical as he tried to make himself sound, so he didn't think he had more right to complain than anyone else. He glanced over to Celestine's hand when he noticed it near his face and sighed softly before he closed his eyes. The cool wind that circulated between his face and Celestine's hand felt good on the cuts and he could already feel the stinging pain easing as the cuts started to heal.

Hikari sighed softly after the arrow hit its mark and then lowered her bow again. She watched as Varun dug the relic out of his own chest and chucked it toward the window. She didn't seem affected at all by the gruesome act of removing the relic, but she nearly cringed when Varun finally hit the floor. She sighed heavily and shook her head before she turned her attention over to Kanone and Celestine. She was glad to see that Celestine was already taking care of Kanone for now. She knew they were going to have to go and track down the relic yet again, but until Aamori got a move on, she was more concerned with making sure that everyone was mobile, just in care anything did happen to pop out at them. Not to mention she wanted to be sure that as many people were capable of flying themselves back as possible. She looked over to Nero for a moment and then started to move a little closer to him. He would be faster to take care of, if he would let her take care of him at all, so she thought she would check on him while Celestine was taking care of Kanone's face. "Nero," she said quietly as she approached him, hooking her bow back over her arm in the process. She looked at his injured arm and then held her hand out as if she wanted him to use her hand as an arm rest. She looked at him and then to his arm again before raising her eyes to his face again, making it more clear what she wanted.

Nanashi sighed heavily when Varun was finally hit and then looked away. He knew the fight was over and was thankful that it hadn't reached back to them before them, but he didn't want to watch Varun die. He hated watching anything die. He startled slightly when the glass shattered and looked up again before he realized what must have happened considering Aamori's rush to the window. He couldn't help but groan quietly at the idea of searching for the relic now. As hard as it had been thrown and as small as the beach was he could imagine that it had at least made it out the the area int he water that one couldn't easily stand in. He finally reached back tiredly and felt for the strap that help his weapon before he managed to find the hole and slide it down securely. It was hard to guide his hand well enough to manage putting his weapon away. He was completely fatigued and still shaking a little from the chill, though he had almost grown used to that. Once he had the weapon put away he finally collapsed to his knees again with a heavy sigh while Celestine and Hikari were tending to Kanone and Nero. Now seemed like a good time to steal a few minutes of rest before they had to tackle those stairs again. He was about willing to just stay right here until he was able to get himself back since he wasn't so sure about his ability to do that right now and he didn't want to make someone who was injured hair him back to the larger island. After all the only one of them that wasn't hurt was Celestine and he couldn't fly with his wings drenched any more than he could have carried him if he could fly.

Nero stared in disbelief when Varun actually stabbed his own hand into his middle to pull out the relic. Had he known that the stomach area was open like that than he probably would've tried harder to just rip the relic from the guy's body himself. He took a step or two forward when he saw that Varun was preparing to throw the relic. He was pretty quick to catch what he was doing but by no means fast enough to keep Varun from actually throwing the relic. He slapped his good palm to his forehead once the relic was well out of their reach and then grumbled quietly to himself. As if this couldn't be any more of a pain in the tail. He sighed heavily and watched as Aamori had rushed over to the window. Well, at least he wasn't going to have to worry about being the one going after it. Since he couldn't touch it he couldn't very go diving for it. He stood there quietly and had started to slip his brass knuckles off of his hands and held them together in his good hand. He glanced over to Hikari for a moment once she said his name and he noticed her. He looked down at his arm and then looked over at her hand. He gave a heavy sigh and shook his head. "No." He told her sternly. "Go take care of Kanone, I'm pretty sure I broke something." He added before he started to bend over to slip his brass knuckles back into their respective pockets. He did have a little trouble with his injured arm while he put the one knuckle away but he did well to ignore it and try not to let it be obvious.

Nobu didn't pay too much attention to anything else after Varun's lifeless body had hit the floor. Once Varun was down, so was he. He laid on the floor and started lifting his paw to try and touch the part of his head where he'd been punched. Varun hadn't been very consistent with where he was hitting so the punches had ranged from the top of his skull to half way down his snout. Thankfully his eyes weren't visible so they were saved from the beating for the most part. Just because they weren't visible didn't mean they weren't there. His vision would be greatly impaired if he actually used his eyes to get around. He couldn't quite reach the top of his head with his paw so he finally just gave up and tried to lay there quietly without whimpering too much. Once his head stopped hurting him he'd surely start searching for something to put in his mouth to do away with the taste of blood that was stuck there. For now he was more focused on his head.

Kyran couldn't believe that Varun had actually torn the relic out of his own body and chucked it out the window. In no way, shape or form did that make any sense to him. Then again how could any of them have made sense with a self proclaimed guardian who could shift forms between a large fish and human male? He shook his head and glanced over to Nobu after he saw Aamori head to the window. He had more respect for the dead and wouldn't have minded saying something to Aamori about trampling all over the dead but he was a little more concerned with how Nobu was than Aamori's lack of respect. He walked over to where Nobu was laying and was thankful that Hikari had gotten the chance to take care of the cuts in his midsection. Since those had been healed it made moving a little better. He wasn't sure he really wanted to kneel down once he made it to Nobu, mostly because of his back but he wanted to see how Nobu was since he'd taken a beating from Varun. He did finally cave and kneel down, clenching his teeth in the process and then reached out to lightly run his fingers over Nobu's head. He wasn't too surprised when he pulled his fingers back to see a little blood on the tips. Varun had obviously managed to stab poor Nobu in the head a couple times with his sharp scales. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious, just a couple small punctures.

LaRae was about where a few of the others were. She couldn't believe what Varun had done. She just hoped like hell they were able to find that relic and without too much trouble. Having to deal with this self proclaimed guardian was a hassle, even if she didn't actually do any of the fighting this time around. She was glancing around a little at everyone, taking in what state of disarray they were in before she noticed Nanashi was putting away his part of his weapon away. She startled slightly when he collapsed to his knees. She looked down at him for a moment before she gave in and knelt down beside him. "...You okay?" She asked quietly, concerned for how he was feeling.

Aamori continued to stare out the window for a few moments while she was pretty sure she'd remember the spot and then started to move. She stepped down from the lifeless body a little more gently than she'd stomped on it and then started to move away from the window. She glanced around at everyone else briefly to see how they were fairing. It looked like a couple of them still needed to be tended to and she couldn't possibly wait for them to be healed. Every second that she was lingering here a second that the relic was getting farther away from her. She hated to just ditch everyone but she was pretty sure they'd understand, or at least she hoped they would. She scurried over to the door in the floor and eyed the stairs for a moment before glancing back at the others again. She sighed quietly and started to descend the stairs. She didn't get very far before she stopped and leaned over the railing a little to see how far down the drop was exactly. She knew that there was no way she'd be able to get down the stairs on her own quickly and without falling or hurting herself in the process. She sighed again quietly and took a deep breath before she threw herself over the railing heading quickly for the floor at the bottom. She did at least try to use her wings to make the drop more bearable but even still her wings weren't very strong outside of the water. She hit the floor hard, in a crouch that quickly had her flattened on the floor. It probably didn't help her landing that her legs were still a bit sore and the floor was wet from when the water had run down the stairs. Regardless of the fall being uncomfortable she tried to get to her feet as quickly as possible and then started out the door onto the beach. She immediately headed for the edge of the beach in the direction that the relic had gone. As soon as she got close enough she started removing parts of her outfit. First she slipped her sleeve off her one arm and tossed it on the beach behind her. Then she reached down and started to roll her ripped boots off of her feet one at a time, again, tossing them behind her. Lastly she pulled her dress off over her head and discarded it. She glanced down briefly to make sure that she'd gotten everything off but her wetsuit. Her eyes caught in the center of her chest and sighed heavily when she saw small puncture's in her wetsuit.

Hikari sighed softly when Nero refused but she didn't argue with him. He wasn't hurt quite as badly as he could have been, but she could still pick out an injury when she saw one and knew that arm was bothering him more than he let on. She lowered her hand but then reached down into her pack for a moment to get out the container that she'd already nearly half emptied. "I know, but if you did it was a rib.... I may not be able to fix it right now, I can't use that cast that Taro gave me on a rib." She held the container out to him, "Here, put some of that on your wounds while I go check on him, alright?" she told him while she waited for him to take the container. If he wouldn't take it, she'd just sit it at his feet before she turned to walk over to Kanone. She blinked when she saw Aamori heading for the stairs, but she didn't say anything to stop her. She knew that she was probably going to make a runt o try to grab the relic and none of them could really help her with that, so she was going to try to worry about getting what she could taken care of and hope that Aamori had luck finding the relic. She stopped beside Celestine and Kanone and smiled slightly as she knelt beside them. "I'll take over, Celestine," she said softly as she reached over to Kanone's hand so that she could move it away from his rib. "Can you sit yourself up?" she asked while she waited for Kanone to get his arm back under himself before she reached to pull his shirt out of the rope belt around his waist and slipped his shirt up so that she could examine his side. She glanced over to Celestine and smiled slightly, "He'll be alright, Celestine... You can let go now," she said gently since Celestine was still clinging to Kanone protectively. Once Celestine had let go she moved her hand trace her fingers lightly down his rib cage. "You're lucky those spikes didn't puncture your lung..." she said quietly as she examined the holes. She guessed the rib must had taken most of the force, though she was half surprised that the rib hadn't punctured something. Maybe the way that he flew off of his feet so easily instead of resisted the blow helped a good bit, he'd already been falling away when he was hit. She held her hand over the punctures and started to work on healing them while she glanced back to Kanone's face again. "The rib will have to wait a little...do you think you will be alright until we're back across the water? If not, I can try to take care of it now, but..."
Kanone started to sit up a little after Celestine had pulled his hand away from his face. He glanced at Celestine and smiled weakly before his eyes caught on Hikari as she knelt down. He tried to shift positions and get his arms positioned under him again so he could set up without taking advantage of Celestine's help. He nodded to her and then watched as she started to pull his shirt up, though when he glanced down he couldn't help but notice the state of her clothes. He could practically see right through them and they were clinging to her badly. He quickly averted his eyes and looked at Celestine again when he finally let go of him, chuckling softly, though the action made him wince. He kept his eyes cast away from Hikari while she worked, but he glanced back to her when she asked if his rib would be alright until the crossed the water. Well, he could still fly like this, it would just be painful. He realized why she wanted to wait; if she healed him now then she wasn't going to be able to get herself across the water. He smiled at her and and nodded to reassure her, "Yeah, I'm fine," he said, speaking a little more strongly than he had been when talking to Celestine, "I'll be alright." Oh, vengeful gods, that hurts! he thought as he gritted his teeth through the smile. His brows were still furrowed in pain, but he was at least trying his best not to show it.
She nodded to him in response and sighed softly, relieved that he'd agreed, though she felt bad seeing that he was in pain. "Alright..." she pulled her hand back once the punctures were gone and then started to dig into her bag again for some of the bandages that she'd packed, "They're wet, but they should at least keep some pressure on the area... I'm really sorry, I'll take care of it it as soon as I can, I promise." She finally started to unravel the bandages and wrap them around his chest tightly over the area where the rib was broken, "Sorry....I know it's a little uncomfortable..." she said quietly as she worked.
"I'm good," he squeaked, though he was clearly trying to hold his breath.

Celestine just let his hand rest against Kanone's face after he'd healed the wounds and then sighed. He looked at Hikari when she came over and watched as Kanone followed her instructions. He wanted to hold onto him, but realized that Hikari's telling him that he could let go now as a hint that he was in the way, so he pulled his arms back and sat beside him attentively, though he to wipe his bloody hand on his shirt absently, though he could have just as easily used Kanone's since it was already bloody. He didn't really care, he wasn't fond of this shirt, anyway. He could tell that Kanone was trying to hard to act like he wasn't hurting, and he was honestly proud of him considering what a whiner he could be. Finally, while Hikari was wrapping his chest he got up slowly and moved over to Kryan before he knelt beside Nobu and ran his hand gently along his fur, starting at his shoulder blades. "Are you okay, Nobu?" he asked quietly, sounding just as concerned for the dog as he had for his cousin. He glanced at Kyran for a moment, noticing the blood on his fingers, and then sighed softly as he laid his hand lightly on Nobu's head and began to massage him gently, hoping to seas the pain a little. He knew being hit like that must have hurt and left him with quite a massive headache. He glanced to Kyran again and tilted his head slightly. His expression was still filled with worry, though there was a touch of curiosity in the way that he tilted his head that suggested that he wanted to know about Kyran's condition as well. So far it seemed that he was the only one unharmed by Varun; his only injuries had come from when Nobu had shorted out.

Nanashi looked over to LaRae when she knelt beside him and then nodded his head weakly. "Yes...I'm...I'm alright...," he said quietly, "...I'm just...really tired...again." He couldn't deny that, it was too obvious. Even his eyes looked ready to close at any given moment. He glanced over to her again, "...How's your arm...?" He hoped that her arm was better than it had been, though he hadn't gotten to see it before. It looked better at least, but that didn't really tell him how it felt. Of course he assumed that even if it wasn't perfectly fine that was the answer that he would get.

Nero glanced over to Hikari briefly when she started to reach into her pack for something. He stared at the container that she held out to him for a moment before sighing quietly and reaching over to take it. He didn't even want to bother with putting the stuff on his wounds. He didn't think his arm was that bad. But then again, bad to him was more like losing a limb. Since he hadn't lost a limb it wasn't that bad and it wasn't like his arm couldn't heal on it's own. He eyed the container while he held it and thought again, very briefly about just listening to Hikari but again he decided against it. Especially after picking up on Hikari saying that she would work on the broken rib that Kanone had after they were across the water. He knew it was in Hikari's ability to heal ribs, after all she'd worked on his when they were broken so he assumed that she'd done a little too much already to be able to handle healing something of that caliber right now. He continued to hold onto the container even though he had no intention of using it.

Nobu hadn't bothered lifting his head at all when Kyran came over. He laid there and was pretty quiet for the most part, he wanted nothing more than to be able to go to sleep somewhere quiet. His ears perked up slightly when he heard Celestine come over and ask if he was okay. He started to lift his head a little and quickly decided against it before lowering his head down onto his paws. '...I will be...' He responded in answer to Celestine's question. He relaxed a little once Celestine started to massage him gently and thankfully that did seem to relieve some of the pain from his head.

Kyran looked over at Celestine when he came over and watched him briefly while he touched Nobu. He glanced back down at his fingers again and then wiped them on the knee of his pants. With black pants the blood wasn't very likely to show and it wasn't a lot to begin with. He looked back over to Celestine briefly, long enough to catch the way he'd looked at him with his head tilted. He sighed quietly and dropped his eyes to look at his exposed midsection momentarily. "...Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I'm just sore." He told him, assuming he wanted to know how he was doing. Sore was probably an understatement in some sense. His back was probably ready to turn black and blue just like his midsection. He shook his head lightly thinking that finding a comfortable position to sleep after all was said and done was going to be difficult. At least until one of the two area's felt better.

LaRae sighed quietly hearing Nanashi say that he was alright, just tired. The tired part was more than obvious after looking at him. She wouldn't have minded telling him that he could lean on her and rest if he wanted to but here wasn't exactly the best place to possibly fall asleep. Especially since it didn't look like there was going to be anyone who could really carry him comfortably if he was asleep. When he asked about her arm she automatically looked over at it and tried to move it again. It still didn't have it's full range of motion back yet. She was at least able to move her fingers better but the arm in general wasn't capable of motion, it was just far too numb still. It probably would have been better to let Hikari heal her arm right away but she still didn't like being healed. She sighed quietly and glanced back to Nanashi after having inspected her arm. "...It doesn't hurt." She paused. "It'll be fine soon enough." She added quietly.

Aamori lifted her eyes and looked out over the water trying to judge about how far out the relic had gone once it'd been thrown. She stared for a moment before she started to look around at the sky. She turned back to look at the tower briefly and then back towards the sister and main islands that she could see now, where as before the view was blocked. She could even make out another one of the towers in the distance now, again, she hadn't been able to before. She shook her head now that she'd picked up on the fog being gone. She wondered at what point it had been dissipating. She couldn't make out any fog now so it must have been a little while ago. At least with the fog gone it would make getting back across the water easier. She still couldn't believe she over looked that when she was looking out the window after the relic. After all the light into the tower would surely have changed as well as the light right here on the beach. The sun that wasn't far from wanting to set was easily visible. She pushed that aside for now and started to step into the water, retrieving that relic had to be the first priority. It didn't take her long at all to get out to where she had seen the ripples originate from, she just hoped this was where the relic had gone. Not to mention she hoped like hell that no other fish had eaten it. She took a deep breath, or at least as deep as she could without hurting her chest that badly and then submerged herself and started to dive while keeping an eye out for the relic.

Hikari was fairly quick with the bandages and made sure to tie them securely once she'd finished wrapping him up. She bit her lower lip lightly before he tucked the bandages back in to her back again. "There, is that alright?" she asked quietly, still sounding a little upset that she couldn't do more right now.

Kanone looked at her and smiled again slightly, "It's fine, don't worry about it," he told her again as he started to push himself up to his feet. He cringed when he moved the wrong way, but otherwise he didn't really complain. He sighed quietly once he was standing again and started to try to pull his shirt up over his head carefully before he passed it to Hikari. "Here, it's bloody, but...um..." he blushed slightly and glanced away again.

Hikari started to get up when he did and nearly fell down again when she put pressure on her injured leg. It hadn't been bothering her much considering it's high location, but it still hurt, and it decided that it wanted to protest standing up again after the way she'd been kneeling on it. She caught herself quickly, trying to make it look as if she was just side stepping as she planted her leg firmly beneath her. She blinked when Kanone handed her his shirt and stared at him for a moment before she glanced down to herself. Her face immediately started to turn pink when she realized why he was giving her something to cover up with. She was officially ready to find some different colored clothes when she got back to Glenys. "Thanks," she mumbled quietly as she slipped the shirt down over her head. It was just long enough to come to the end of her shorts thankfully, though her sliced up thigh was still visible through the slit at the side. She pulled her hair out of the shirt and then smiled weakly at Kanone and placed a hand on his shoulder before she started to turn to walk back over to Nero. She looked at the container and then at his arm, "Are you having trouble opening it?" she asked as she held her hands out for it again. She didn't really know which hand Nero usually used, but she could imagine that he may be having a little trouble with his arm like it was.

Kanone watched Hikari walk back to Nero and then glanced around. He bend to snag Celestine's swallow from the floor and hooked it back over his shoulder the way that he was supposed to carry it before he started toward the stairs. He already knew Aamori had left, he he wanted to go ahead and make sure that she was alright downstairs. Before he went in that direction he started to talk over toward the window and knelt again beside Varun's body before he placed his hand against his side and took a hold of the other end of Nanashi's weapon, maneuvering it around until he'd freed it. Once he had it out of the body he wiped it off on his already bloody pants a little and then laid it on the floor before he gave it a push and slid it over closer to where Nanashi and LaRae were sitting. Once that was done he glanced back to the body again and then sighed as he picked the body up carefully, crinkling his nose at the smell of dead fish, and then started toward the door again. "I'm going to go keep an eye on Aamori...and put him back where he belongs." He thought he'd just clear up what he was doing before he started to descend the stairs. He move carefully, though he tried to descend quickly though after a few moments he realized that there was a faster and less painful way to get downstairs without jarring his body with every step. He finally did what Aamori had and hopped over the railing, holding Varun tightly as he launched them over, and then opened his wings as he fell to slow the fall and flapped once before he touched down on the ground. He waited a few moments for the pain in his chest to cease before he started for the door. Once outside he glanced around the beach and blinked when he realized that the fog was gone. He shook his head and then spotted Esen standing just out of the water's reach and staring out over the water. There was a dark and blue splotch on the beach beside her that he realized was Aamori's dress as he came closer. He sighed and looked out over the water as well, assuming that she must have already taken a dive. He looked down to Esen again and sighed quietly, "...Watch where you step." There was glass all over the beach in this area from the busted window. He finally just started out into the water, a little way away from where Aamori had apparently gone in, and waded out until he was about chest deep before he released Varun into the water and turned to walk back up the beach. He half expected the body to get washed back up on shore eventually, but the waves went both ways. Hell, he'd probably get eaten by other fish soon enough, anyway.

Celestine sighed softly in relief when Nobu responded to him and nodded his head just a little as he continued to massage his delicate fingers gently over the canine's skull, working his way from the top of his head down to his mussel and back again. His hands were good for massaging at least, though he didn't know how long he would be keeping this up. He looked back to Kyran and then nodded to him as well when he told him not to worry. He really couldn't help but worry. The boy still looked like he was half in shock at what had happened. He wasn't injured but he certainly wasn't quite alright. Most probably wouldn't notice the slight changes in him but his eyes were still open wide and alert and his movements all seemed almost absent minded like he didn't mean to be doing whatever he was doing and was just doing it. He had gotten himself back under control for the most part, but that didn't quite stop his body from shaking or wipe that newly traumatized look from his face. He still wanted to get out of this building, but he also didn't seem to want to get away from the group. That was one other slight difference that was something few would pick up on; he was being much friendlier than usual, and sitting a lot closer than was normal for him. Normally he probably would have sat on the opposite side of Nobu away from Kyran, but he was sitting so close to him that the slightest movement from either of them to one side would cause them to touch. He normally wouldn't have hung all over Kanone the way that he had been either except that he was hurt, though even at that he wouldn't usually be so reluctant to let go. He startled at the sound of metal sliding on the floor, accidentally bumping Kyran which caused him to immediately jerk away a little so that they were no longer touching. He took in a couple of deep breaths and then closed his eyes again and lowered his eyes again. He really just wanted to completely forget this entire little adventure, though he doubted that he was going to forget behind locked up in a flooding room anytime soon. As ridiculous as those two little phobias may have seemed to everyone else, being locked up alone was enough to drive him half out of his mind, so throwing water that he could easily have drowned in the mix pushed it the rest of the way. If he hadn't been terrified of the prospect of drowning before he certainly was now. Never mind that everyone else was in here and that they wouldn't have let him drown. Had that door not opened he imagined the room probably would have filled to the top and they all would have drowned. Perhaps another large part of it was that he had never quite gotten over the last near death experience he'd been through. It hadn't even been a month since the Hydra incident, and he wasn't quite so use to being that badly hurt or locked up. After seeing what that fish had done to Nanashi and Kyran, he could only imagine what would have happened if it'd gotten a hold of him, too. He almost wanted to hug Nero for keeping the thing away from him. Now more than ever he really just felt like a kid...and he hated it. He glanced up to Kanone when he saw him leaving with the body and just swallowed hard before he found himself absently leaning into Kyran again while shrinking away from the sight a little. It hadn't been all that long ago that Kanone had been carrying another body somewhere like that. Finally he just closed his eyes again and let his head fall forward with a sigh. His fingers were still moving in a massaging motion on top of Nobu's head, but they hadn't changed location since the sound had startled him.

Nanashi was watching her intently while she inspected her arm as if trying to come up with his own answer for the question he'd asked. He nodded weakly when she said that it didn't hurt. Well, that told him nothing, she'd been saying that it didn't hurt when it was torn all the pieces. He just let out a quiet sigh when she told him that it would be fine eventually. Well, at least it was an honest answer. He finally lowered his eyes again and then sighed quietly. He hoped her arm was alright by the time they were heading downstairs again. He had a feeling he was going to need help managing those stairs as light headed and disoriented as he was. He could just see himself trying to put his foot on a step that wasn't there and tumbling all the way down. He jumped when the other half of his weapon came sliding across the floor and just stared at it for a moment before he started trying to get up again so he could get it. It wasn't quite within reaching distance for him.

Nero's right hand was his dominant hand and it had been his left arm that got wounded. He hadn't even tried to open the container but since Hikari had come back over and asked if he had trouble opening it he couldn't help but imagine the trouble he'd have trying to get the container open with one hand practically out of commission. Well, he could get it open but it probably wouldn't be without some pain from his left arm. He started to hand the container back to her while he shook his head a little. "No, I didn't even bother trying to open it." He told her honestly. He really had no intention of putting that stuff on his arm and even if he did, he'd want it cleaned up first and there wasn't exactly clean water around here to clean a wound with. It was all salt water and that wasn't going to feel good in his cuts. He sighed quietly. "Don't concern yourself with my arm." He started. "I'll take care of it once we're done here." He told her and then started to head towards the stairs. Since Kanone had already left he was more than ready to get out of here himself, especially with the so called guardian already taken care of. He didn't bother waiting for Hikari to say anything in protest to him not getting healed before he started down the stairs and even if she did he'd most likely have ignored her completely.

Nobu continued to lay on the floor where he was not budging an inch. He was trying to relax and focus on Celestine massaging his head. Enough time spent getting massaged like that and it wouldn't be very long before he just fell asleep. He did notice when the massaging changed. It wasn't very hard to pick up on Celestine's hand staying in one place. He finally started to lift his head a little to look over at Celestine. He had barely been paying attention to what was going on around him so he hadn't noticed the sound that startled Celestine or that Kanone had even left for that matter. He looked at Celestine for a moment and then started to stand up. He shifted so that his head could be at the same level as Celestine's and then slipped his forked tongue out so he could lick Celestine's cheek.

Kyran kept kneeling where he was and glanced around a little when there was movement. He glanced at Celestine briefly when he bumped into him and watched him jerk away. He shook his head a little. He hadn't really noticed all of the changes in Celestine but he had noticed that he was jumpier than normal. His eyes followed Kanone momentarily when he started for the stairs. His eyes fell down to Celestine though when he noticed him leaning into him. He sighed quietly and then started to stand up after Nobu had gotten up to lick Celestine. He winced as he stood and straightened up. Of course his back was still bothering him and it probably wasn't the best idea in the world to go and kneel down like he had when he knew his back hurt. "We can go ahead and get out of here now, I believe." Or at least he thought so since there wasn't really any reason for them to still be inside here.

LaRae looked over at the other half of Nanashi's weapon after it came sliding across the floor. She then looked at Nanashi when she noticed he was trying to get up. She had no trouble getting on her feet again and once she was standing she moved over to the other half of his weapon and knelt down to grab it before returning to Nanashi with it. She was pretty sure it was easier for her to grab it for him than for him to go get it himself.

Hikari sighed heavily when Nero said that he hadn't even bothered trying. She took the container back when he handed it to her and started to open it herself until he told her not to concern herself with his arm. She sighed and then shook her head before she started to put the container away again since he was already walking off. She was still worried about it, but she couldn't very well hole him down. "What about your leg?" she asked as she started after him while zipping up her pouch again. She apparently was going to at least follow him and pester him about it a little, he wasn't getting off quite that easily. She caught up to him rather easily on the stairs and glanced at him from the opposite side on the step behind him, "You'll at least let the medical staff at the training center look at it, right?" she asked, still sounding concerned. She'd obviously gathered that accepting her help was going to be a 'no' no matter what she did, so she was at least going to try to push him on someone else. Hell, if he wouldn't go see them himself, she'd go let them know. She knew his injuries weren't quite that bad, but they were serious enough to need some care.

Celestine turned his head slightly in Nobu's direction only after he started standing up since he felt his arm raising involuntarily. He stared at Nobu's head for a moment and then closed one eye when he went to lick his cheek. He sighed quietly and started to move his hand again, though this time he stroked his hand down the back of his neck as he raised his other arm to wrap gently around his neck. He leaned his head over against Nobu and closed his eyes, though he startled again when he heard Kyran getting up and then looked up at him for a moment while he still clung loosely to Nobu's neck. He still didn't move until a few seconds after Kyran had spoke before he gave him a delayed nod of understanding. He then started to sit back and lowered his arms from Nobu's neck before he started to rub his head gently for a moment. He then pushed himself up with quite a bit of effort, using Nobu's shoulder for a little bit of help. Once on his feet he staggered back a couple of steps before he leaned himself forward to regain his balance. Finally he looked back over his shoulder and opened one wing before he reached back to push his hand back against it and slide it down his feathers. A small torrent of water cascaded out of the feathers and splashed onto the floor around where his hand hand been. Unfortunately he couldn't reach most of his wing so he couldn't do that to the whole thing, just the inner part that was closest to his body. It was almost like squeezing the water out of a sponge by pressing on it. After a second of watching the water drip to the floor he just sighed and folded his wing back against his back again before he glanced at Kyran like he was waiting on him to go before he moved toward the stairs.

Nanashi sighed slightly when he realized that LaRae was getting the weapon for him and then just sat back on his knees again. Once she handed it to him he thanked her and then struggled to find the right place to slide it into the holster behind it. Once he finally got it put away he glanced over to Kyran, hearing that they were going now, and sighed again as he started to push himself up. His arms and legs were trembling from the strain as he struggled to get back to his feet again, and it took him a moment to manage it. It was gasping by the time he was back on his feet this time. Fatigued was probably a better word for what he was than tired. He didn't just want to sleep, he didn't even want to move. He would be glad to get back to the training center, or wherever it was they were going, but knew it was still going to be a while yet. He really wasn't looking forward to flying back over the water again, but he wouldn't ask anyone to carry him so long as he was conscious.

Nero sighed heavily when he heard Hikari ask about his leg. He'd actually forgotten about that and had been dealing with the pain just fine. Although... his attention was now stuck on his leg and it was hard to ignore the ache while he was descending the stairs. He didn't bother saying a word about how his leg was. He just wanted to get down the stairs as fast as he could so that he could take a look at it. He never had removed the tooth that was lodged in his leg. He continued down the stairs a bit farther before shaking his head. Hikari wasn't going to let it go, was she? He sighed quietly. "I will make sure everything is taken care of." He responded sounding a little irritated. He wasn't about to have any medical staff look at his wounds and he certainly didn't believe that any water clan medical specialist would have the guts to forcibly look at his wounds. He knew some very basic first aid and he was pretty sure he could take care of his wounds himself. Then again his arm was probably a little beyond his ability. He still didn't want to rely on anyone else to take care of his wounds. It didn't take him very long to grow tired of the stairs and decide to go over the edge just like he did in the last tower. He placed his hand on the railing and then thrust himself over the railing. He made sure to open his wings and draw up his sore leg before he got close enough to hit the floor. He flapped his wings a couple times and touched down easily on the one foot before lowering his leg and closing his wings behind him. After he was down he immediately started to head for the door so that he could get outside.

Nobu leaned his head against Celestine a little once he'd wrapped his arms around his neck. He would have probably asked Celestine how he was feeling and if he was alright or something but refrained from saying anything because of his headache. For now it was better not to bother trying to communicate that way with anyone, especially if it took more work than normal to talk to them. It was a lot easier and less straining to talk to Esen or Kyran for that matter. He continued to stand there until after Celestine had gotten to his feet. Once Kyran had started for the stairs he started to inch in that direction.

Kyran glanced around a little to see who all was still left in the room. He stared over at LaRae and Nanashi briefly before glancing back to Celestine just about the time that the water had splashed onto the floor. He couldn't begin to imagine just how annoying having feathered wings must be, especially when they held water like that. He sighed quietly when he noticed that Celestine must have been waiting for him to get moving. He of course turned and started for the stairs. He was ready to get out of here himself though he was sure that Celestine wanted out more than anyone else did. Once he reached the stairs he went ahead and started down them.

LaRae watched Nanashi while he struggled to put the other half of the weapon away. She kept relatively close to him once he started to get up. She wanted to be able to help him if he needed it. Seeing how fatigued he was she couldn't help but worry about his ability to get down the stairs with ease, let alone his ability to get all the way to the training building. Maybe it was convenient that the sister island they'd reach first was the one Marius was staying on. Worst case scenario I doubt Marius would complain about letting Nanashi rest there at least until he had the strength to get to the training building. Her eyes trailed over to the stairs briefly when Kyran had started down them and then back to Nanashi. "...Are you going to be able to handle those stairs?" She asked quietly.

Aamori wasted very little time getting around under the water. Since she was fairly certain the relic didn't just plummet to the ocean floor she tried her best to search around a little while she dove deeper just on the off chance that maybe some fish in the immediate area had gotten a hold of it and hadn't eaten it yet. At a time like this she was rather thankful that she was a fast swimmer, it made searching for this darn relic a little easier. Unfortunately the ocean was large and if the relic caught the current it could be sent a good distance. She just hoped that it didn't get too far away from where she suspected it'd be. She continued to swim until she reached the bottom and then started to look around a little harder. She spotted something round sitting on the ocean floor and immediately moved closer to it. She reached out to grab it even though she thought it might be smaller than the relic. Maybe the relics weren't all the same size? She kept pulling on it and got a little annoyed when it wasn't budging. She moved her hand and started to try and dig around it, maybe it was caught on something. She was surprised to see that it was connected to some sort of handle. Well, that meant it wasn't the relic. Her curiosity was peeked now and she wanted to dig whatever this was out. It couldn't take her that long and then she could go back to looking for the relic. She dug a little more and then wrapped both of her hands around the ball at the end of the handle again and gave it a strong yank. It gave a little and then she yanked on it again until it finally came free. Once it was clear of the the ocean floor she could tell that it looked a lot like one of the blades that Kyran and Celestine had. She also noticed that the blade had a strap attached to it and it appeared to be connected to something else that was still buried in the ground. If this was one of the blades like those two had than of course there was another one. She set the blade down since it wasn't going anywhere and started to dig the other one free. Once they were both free she eyed them for a moment before deciding that it would probably be best to get them to the surface before she continued looking for the relic. After all she couldn't very well have her hands full when she found the relic. She held the strap that connected the two blades in one hand and then held her other out towards the blades. Her hand produced a faint aura momentarily while she made a bubble to encase the blades. As soon as the blades were encased the aura faded from her hand and she gave the orb the blades were in a push towards the surface. It shouldn't take the orb with the blades inside that long to reach the surface, so long as no fish decided to play with it along the way. After she sent the blades for the surface she continued to scour the ocean floor for the relic.

Hikari sighed softly when Nero got a little irritated with her. She couldn't help but worry about him as much as she worried about anyone else. She nodded slightly when he said that he would make sure everything taken care of. She would hold him to that, though if he intended to do it himself, she would probably protest. After all, his arm looked like it had a good deal of damage to it. She watched when he started to jump the railing, "Ner–" she started, but he'd already dove over the side. She sighed heavily and shook her head. Well, she hoped that he didn't hurt his leg doing that. She might have tried it herself had she not been afraid her wing would catch on her bow or something and make her fall all of the way. She sighed softly, and continued rather quickly down the stairs until she reached the bottom, and then slipped outside as well.

As soon as Kyran started to move toward the opening Celestine was practically right on his heels, though he still stayed a little closer to Nobu so he could continue petting him while they walked. Once they hit the stairs, however, he nearly glued himself to the rail and clung to it tightly as he eased his way down, trying his best to keep his balance on the uneven surface. He glanced over the railing and stared down at the floor for a moment before he continued down the steps, though he did notice Aamori's staff laying on the floor and absently thought that he needed to grab that when they got to the bottom of the stairs.

Nanashi looked over to LaRae when she asked him if he was going to be able to make the stairs. For a moment he just stared at her as if he was still trying to process the question. All he seemed to be good at doing right now was standing there taking short, deep breaths, as if he were feeling short of breath. Finally he spoke, "...I'm going to have to...," he said quietly. He knew that she couldn't carry him and everyone else had already left. He closed his eyes for a moment and then lowered his head. The room still felt as if it was spinning around him, and he kind of had that...floaty feeling about his head. He groaned quietly as he raised his head again. It actually hurt his head trying to look around the room...everything appeared to be moving and he was still having a few instances where his vision doubled for a few moments. Finally he forced himself to start walking toward the stairs, though he was managing to walk on his own, he was still staggering like a drunk or a kid who had been standing there spinning in circles for an hour or so.

Kanone glanced up to the door as he was stepping out of the water and noticed Nero emerging from the tower. He sighed quietly and then walked a little further up the beach before he noticed Hikari emerge from the building not too terribly far behind him. He sighed quietly as he turned to look back out over the water again, watching anxiously for Aamori. He still couldn't help but wrap his arm around his middle again like he had before. The bandages helped, but he just felt a little better holding it himself. He blinked when he saw the orb ride above the water a little way out and squinted slightly, trying to figure out what in the world she had done. He knew that was Aamori's magic, after all, she'd been the one caught half of the fish like that in Caledonia. ...What are you doing down there? he thought to himself as he started over the water. He was starting to get a little worried that she hadn't come up for a breath yet.

Nero almost immediately had to lift his hand to shield his eyes. The light wasn't really that bright but considering the fog that used to be here severed as protection for his eyes the sun was quite irritating, even if it was near time for it to set. He groaned quietly and looked around a little until he spotted Kanone. He started over in that general direction but moved off to the side a short distance so he wasn't likely to be where everyone else was sure to hover. Once he stopped he held his sore leg out a little in front of him and then spotted the tooth that was sticking out of his leg. It was larger than he had expected, at least an inch in diameter at the base. Of course it got smaller as it formed to a point. For an eight foot fish he couldn't really expect anything smaller he guessed. He gave a heavy sigh and knelt down so that his left knee was in the sand and he was able to untie his right boot. If he was going to inspect his leg he'd need to get his pants leg free from his boot first. After his pant leg was free he turned his attention back to the tooth that was pinning his pants to his skin. It looked to be in a little deep too. Wonderful. He reached down with his right hand and wrapped his fingers around the base of the tooth. He assumed that this would hurt so he clenched his teeth before he started pulling on the tooth. He quickly found his teeth clenched tighter together while he pulled and barely budged the stupid tooth. He tried pulling on it again for a few moments before he removed his hand from the tooth. This might be easier if he was able to pull it straight out but from his position that was kind of hard. He sighed quietly and set his head down on his knee. He didn't think he could bring himself to ask one of the guys to help him with the removal of this tooth. He didn't dare even think of asking Hikari. He doubted she'd stand a better chance when he couldn't even get it out himself. He was very tempted to just cut into his own leg to widen the area the tooth was stuck in. He'd never hear the end of it from Hikari if he did something like that, he was sure of it.

Nobu paused once he had reached the stairs. He waited for Celestine to start down them first before he started down himself. He had started a step or two behind him and rather easily caught up so that he could walk beside him, a little closer to the other railing so that Celestine had room if he needed it. He could have easily made it down the stairs quickly but decided he'd stick close to Celestine this time around.

Kyran glanced back briefly after he'd gone down a few of the steps just to make sure that Celestine was following him and to see how he was managing the stairs. He wasn't really surprised to see Celestine glued to the railing. He was positive that the extra weight on his wings made him terribly unbalanced and the railing was the easiest way to make sure you didn't just freely tumble to the bottom. He had thought to keep his pace a little slower than he would have gone. His back still bothered him a great deal and his middle ached, but he was still able to navigate the stairs easily enough. For the most part he was being slower so that he could keep an eye on Celestine while they headed down. He of course couldn't help but glance back every so often just to check on him.

LaRae sighed quietly when Nanashi finally responded to her question. She knew she wasn't going to be of too much help to him getting down the stairs but she was willing to help him as much as she possibly could. She just crossed her fingers that he didn't take a spill. She wasn't sure she could stop something like that, especially since she hadn't regained the strength in her other arm. She watched when he finally started to get his feet in motion and shook her head lightly seeing how he staggered. That didn't bode well. After a moment she started after him and caught up to him with ease then quickly slipped her good hand between his side and his arm before wrapping her arm around his a little tightly. If anything maybe she could help with that stagger he had. He certainly didn't need to try and tackle the stairs alone if he couldn't even manage a straight line. "I hope you don't mind if I help." She said quietly as she looked over at him.

The orb that Aamori had sent up with the blades encased easily managed to ride the waves until it reached the beach not too great a distance from where Kanone was standing. As soon as the orb washed up on the beach and hit the dry sand the bubble that encased the blades popped instantly and released the pair of blades onto the sand just barely within reach of the water. Even though the water was still able to touch the blades it wasn't likely that they would wash away with the waves easily. They had some weight to them after all. Aside from the small blue crystal like orbs at the very base of the handles the only other clear distinguishing part of these blades were the unique clamps that branched out on one side of the handle. It may not have been obvious but the clamps were made so that they'd adjust to the arms of the person who used them. When properly attached to an arm the crystal like orb would reach the base of the palm and the blade of course stretched down the arm. The blade itself was straight up until the very tip. At the tip the blade had a slight bend to it so it made a fairly short hook that extended opposite the elbow.

Aamori hadn't even once thought of going back to the surface for air. Had she been thinking this through properly she would have remembered exactly when she needed to go up for air but since she wasn't really thinking at all she couldn't recall when she should go back up. At this rate she was in the dark and she'd know when she needed air; she'd be all out. She was also telling herself that the moment she decided to go up for air she'd probably have been close to finding it. So a little more searching couldn't hurt that much. She kept looking for the relic, determined to find it. She was glad that she had pretty good eyesight for being underwater. It was far better sight than any of the other clans and that did help her with being able to see more clearly. She was starting to contemplate going up for air. She wasn't sure when exactly she'd need it but maybe it didn't hurt. Just about the time going up for air was starting to win her over she caught sight of something a little shiny on the ocean floor. Surely the relic would look shiny at the right angle while underwater? She started to dart over to it only to be caught by a current that threw her off track a little. She immediately started back to where she'd been sure she'd seen the relic. Of course when the current carried her it covered up the relic. She was a little annoyed at that but she was positive that she'd seen where it was and wouldn't have too much trouble getting a hold of it. As soon as she was over the area that she'd seen it she started digging, brushing the excess away while she looked. When she didn't see it she took into account the direction that she'd been pushed and adjusted where she was digging. It didn't take her very long now that she'd taken the current into account before she dug the relic free. She only managed to get a good hold on it and look at it for a second before her chest felt tighter. She automatically opened her mouth and her air escaped in a rush of bubbles just before she clamped her mouth shut. She knew she'd been down here far too long and now her air was gone all because her first reaction to the tightness in her chest was to breathe. She startled slightly and set her palm out in front of her quickly. The aura rushed to her hand and she produced another bubble on a larger scale then before. She kept the aura to her hand since she wasn't quite done with the bubble yet. So long as her hand kept the aura the bubble shouldn't go anywhere and she was thankful for that because her chest tightened again and she inhaled once more which of course she tried to stop by throwing her hand over her mouth. In a quick effort to at least get herself headed for the surface she moved the bubble just above her body and drew her legs down before pushing off of the ocean floor which would launch her into the bubble and then force the bubble to move a little faster towards the surface. The only down side to the bubbles that she created was they held water in them. So she wasn't even free to breathe once she was inside. The aura on her hand faded as soon as she was in the bubble and she quickly found her hand back over her mouth when she started to inhale one last time. As she inhaled the last time she was rendered unconscious with her one hand still tightly clenched to the relic.

Hikari glanced around briefly once she was outside and immediately lit up slightly int he sunlight, her hair taking on a slightly golden tint as the sun was setting. She sighed when she noticed Nero walking over toward Kanone and then go to kneel down away from him. She stood where she was for a moment, or at least until she noticed what he was doing. She hadn't even seen the tooth in his leg before, she'd just known that he'd been bitten. Well, of course she wasn't going to just leave that alone. She sighed softly as she started over in that direction, already anticipating Nero's stubbornness and not looking forward to it. She was a little sore herself, so she knew all those wounds couldn't possibly feel good, and she absolutely hated the thought of someone being in pain when she could easily do something about it. As soon as she reached Nero, she knelt down in front of him without a word until she placed her hand gently on his knee. "Let me see..." she said quietly, her voice as gentle as her touch. One might have thought she was talking to a child who had just scraped his knee or something. She by no means thought of Nero as a child, but when not in a high pressure situation she would treat just about anyone as nicely as she would treat an injured kid. She cringed and actually shuddered a little when she looked at the tooth. "That's in deep..." she muttered quietly to herself. Clearly, there would be no getting away from her for Nero until after he had been looked after. She was about ready to sit on him if it came down to it. After all, she knew she was going to go down after she tackled Kanone's rib, so she may as well get everything she could spare out before then. She wouldn't be touching anything for a little while after that.

Celestine wasn't really paying very much attention to anything but the the motion of walking and not toppling over. He still had a somewhat dazed expression on his face as he descended the stairs at whatever pace following Kyran would allow while his hand was latched tightly onto the railing. Of course had he been paying more attention he might have thought to watch where he stepped, or picked up on the mild pains that shot through his legs with every step. The water rushing through the open doorway had washed a great deal of the busted glass from the tank in the wall down onto the stairs, and Celestine hadn't been paying a bit of attention to it at all. Already he had stepped on several pieces and while some had spared his feet any harm others had sliced open the sole of his foot or crammed themselves into the arch in his foot, depending on how the shards happened to be laying. By the time they were halfway down the stairs, Celestine was leaving a full set of bloody footprints on the steps behind him, toes and all, as the blood smeared from the cuts. The pain would have been near unbearable had he been aware enough of pain to feel it, but he was so zoned out at the moment that he didn't even realize that he was walking on glass, his mind was getting to the bottom of the stairs and getting outside.

Nanashi nearly jerked away when LaRae latched onto his arm, though it was mostly just a knee-jerk reaction. He turned his head slightly to look at her and then nodded weakly when she said that she hoped that he didn't mind her help. Honestly, he was glad that she offered it. The last thing that he wanted to do was go stumbling down these steps. Once they'd reached the door he hesitated slightly before he tackled the first step and then found himself holding onto LaRae tightly as he eased his way down. His breathing seemed to grow slightly more rapid as his anxiety grew and he clung to her a little more securely, obviously in fear of falling. He grabbed for the railing as soon as he could and held to it tightly with one hand. Unfortunately, there was no way that he would be able to keep this up for too much longer. He really had lost a lost of blood recently, and he had been upright ever since then. Had he been able to lie down he might have stayed a little more conscious, but as of right now the lightheadedness was getting the better of him. If he managed to make it to the bottom if these stairs it would be amazing. He was already nearly panting by the time they'd gotten down the first ten or so.

Kanone watched as the orb floated it's way to the beach and popped, ane was surprised to find that she'd dug up a pair of blades. Esen's attention seemed immediately drawn to them and she edged closer to the water immediately to sniff at them, which made him automatically assume that these were probably special blades like the ones that he had given to Celestine. Well, that made sense considering that Zale was running around the islands ownerless. ...But if Aamori had found his blades, dd that make her his owner? He almost groaned at the thought of it...Zale on the trip with them? He's never get any sleep... He reached down to snag the strap on the blades and pulled them back along the sand so that they were no longer touching the water before he turned his attention back out to the ocean. He bit his lip slightly and sighed. This really was taking forever, and he was starting to get seriously worried. His eyes widened slightly when he saw a rather sudden eruption of bubbles at the surface of the water and without thinking, he was off the beach and flying out over the water. His broken rib was forgotten for the moment as he hovered, circling the area where he'd seen the bubbles rise from. He looked into the water anxiously until he saw the rather large orb rising to the surface. As soon as the orb had broken the surface and he saw Aamori inside the bubble, apparently unconscious, he plunged his arms into the bubble, popping it immediately when his skin came into contact. He let his body drop toward the water just long enough to wrap is arms around Aamori's middle, and already his midsection and legs had touched the water, as well as the tips of his wings and he made a mighty splash as he beat his wings hard to get himself and Aamori out of the water. Aside from Celestine, he had the strongest wings of the group, so he could take off from just about anywhere and just about any position he desired. Once he was back in the air he tightened his arms around Aamori's ribs tightly and suddenly in such a way that it would have really knocked the wind out of anyone as he raced back to the shore. She action of squeezing Aamori like he had seriously made his rib ache, but that was probably the fastest way to give her a decent chance at breathing if he'd managed to force the water, or at least a good deal of it, from her lungs. he had of course immediately loosened his grip on her, both so she could breathe and because it hurt to hold her at all, especially tightly. He wasn't even worried about whether or not she had the relic, he hadn't even checked, he just wanted to get her back to the beach as fast as he could. The instant that he reached the sands he laid her down flat on her back, not even bothering to get all the way out of the water, as it was still washing up over his feet as well as Aamori's legs. "Aamori!?" He gasped out in a half panicked voice as he patted the side of her face, hoping she would wake up without him having to do anything further. He wasn't even sure he could do CPR...he knew for certain that he couldn't breathe for her, and the chest compressions would be hellish.

Nobu continued to walk just off to the side of Celestine. He was watching where he was walking rather than looking over at Celestine. Of course any glass that he may have found on the steps he thought to avoid and thought they all would. His nose scrunched up when he caught the smell of fresh blood. He paused mid step and couldn't help looking around for the source of the smell. It didn't take him long at all to find it because Celestine was leaving plenty of clues to lead him to the source. He started to move a little closer to Celestine once he started walking again and immediately started whining while holding his head as low as he could, hoping to at least draw some attention to Celestine's feet.

Kyran didn't pick up on the smell of blood like Nobu had and he certainly wasn't looking behind Celestine when he glanced back at him periodically so he was none the wiser of the state of Celestine's feet. He did finally pause when he heard Nobu whining like he was. They weren't too far from the bottom of the stairs now. He could see the end so it wasn't going to hurt anything to see what was up with Nobu. He practically turned all the way around and looked at Nobu, noticing the way his head was so low and then looked at the stairs. Now that he was looking more closely it didn't take him long to catch the bloody foot prints that Celestine was leaving in his wake. "...Um... Celestine..." He paused and pointed behind him at the past couple stairs. "Did you not notice?" He asked sounding a little worried. He hadn't really noticed any glass and that was obviously his boots fault. They were a good defense against sharp glass in the soles of one's foot.

LaRae barely even reacted when Nanashi nearly jerked away. She almost expected that whenever someone went to touch him without his knowing prior. She let him lead at his own pace. She just wanted to be his support should he need it and not force him to move at her pace. She couldn't help but tighten her grip on his arm a little in response to him holding onto her more tightly. She was worried about him especially with his breathing the way it was. She eyed the rest of the stairs that they would have to descend and then looked over at Nanashi. "...Are you okay?" She asked quietly.

Nero continued to rest his head against his knee while he tried to think of some other way to get the tooth out of his leg. He guessed he could always resume trying to pull it out. It wasn't like that was going to hurt anything. He started to lift his head a little since he'd decided to try removing the tooth again himself. Though he quickly found himself pressing his head to his leg again when he felt Hikari touch his knee and speak to him. He gave a heavy sigh. He knew this was coming. She just couldn't leave him alone, or well, injured people for that matter. He kept his head down for a moment before he gave in a little and lifted his head. "...I'm pretty sure you can see it just fine, can't you?" He muttered quietly and then rolled his eyes slightly when she commented that it was in deep. Of course it was in deep. Along with that he also had a nice series of piercing punctures in his leg under his pants to match the way that fishes teeth laid in his mouth, of course varying in size. His leg was also stained in blood from each puncture the teeth made but that wasn't exactly visible without lifting up his pant leg. He still didn't want to accept help from Hikari, not now, not ever. He'd consider it if the injury were bad like the time he'd had a couple broken ribs. But his leg, that was nothing. It'd heal with time all he had to do was get that tooth out. His attention didn't stay on Hikari for very long. Once Kanone had become airborne his eyes went straight to him, curiously. He continued to watch him as he wound up popping a bubble and retrieving Aamori. He didn't react much at all other than to raise his hand and point in Kanone's direction after he'd touched down with Aamori who was apparently unresponsive. Aside from Aamori's unresponsiveness this may have been a blessing because Hikari would surely be more concerned with Aamori's well being than his.

Aamori didn't respond at all even after Kanone had a hold of her by her middle. Her body was cold, limp, pale and no longer blue. Her usual color had started to return since Varun had been defeated, only it was paler than normal now that she was out of the water. Kanone's tightening his arms at her ribs so suddenly did at the very least expel some of the water. She'd inhaled quite a bit of water and it would take a little more than that to expel it all. She laid down easily wherever she was set, much like a doll since she was unconscious. She still didn't respond even when Kanone called out her name and patted the side of her face. There wasn't so much as a batting of an eyelash let alone a rise and fall to her chest.

Celestine just continued to descend the stairs in an almost robotic fashion, even when Nobu started to whimper. He heard him, but Nobu was hurt as well, so his whimpering didn't really faze him, though it did lead him to reach a comforting hand over to Nobu's shoulder while his eyes remained ahead of him. he took another step and nearly walked into Kyran when he stopped and turned around, though that led him to stop as well. He wasn't paying much attention to what Kyran was doing until he said his name. He looked up to him then and stared at him while he pointed and asked if he hadn't noticed. He turned his head to look behind him, though his eyes weren't on the steps. He was looking further up the stairs, though finally his eyes started to trail down since he didn't really know what he was looking for. He blinked when he saw the bloody footprint and then slowly followed the trail down to his own feet. Celestine was by no means slow, and normally he would have grasped the concept of what Kyran was asking without even having to look because he wouldn't have been well aware that his feet ere bleeding, but he just stared at his feet now like he was looking at someone else's feet. "...Ow," he said in a quiet, disconnected voice, almost like he was commenting on someone else's injury though he didn't even raise his foot to look at it. He looked back up to Kyran again, his expression completely unchanged. "...We're not at the bottom yet," he pointed out simply. Obviously his mind chose to overlook the fact that he should be limping on both feet right about now. He just wanted to get to the bottom of the steps, pick up the staff, and be outside, though the sand was probably just going to irritate the cuts and stick to his feet. Right now he didn't really seem to care much about anything pertaining to him. He was obviously worried about the others and Nobu, and still wanted to leave, but that seemed to be about all he was focused on right now. He still hadn't even managed to stop himself from shaking the way that he has been earlier.

Nanashi was really trying hard to get to the bottom of the steps. He was going a little bit faster than he needed to be, but he just wanted to get to the bottom before he fell. His legs were already shaking as he stood on them, and he wasn't so sure how much help the railing would be. He's barely gotten one-fourth of the way down when Aamori asked if he was alright. He turned his eyes slightly in her direction. "...Yes..." he panted quietly. He just kept telling himself that he had to be okay, even though with every second that passed things seemed to be getting worse. His eyes kept trying to close and his head sagged slightly. Just as he was trying to descend another step his body finally gave up the fight to stay alert and he just started to fall without anymore warning than his sagging head. His hand fell away from the rail as he started to topple, being of absolutely no use to keeping himself standing.

Hikari sighed softly when she heard Nero's comments. "...You and LaRae...you're so stubborn..." she said quietly. She wasn't really looking at anything but that tooth, contemplating on trying to pull it out of his leg, though she glanced up when she saw his hand move. She turned her head to see what he was pointing at just as Kanone was laying Aamori out of the beach. "Oh good lord..." she moaned quietly as if begging the universe to give her a break; please, no more of this today. Even through her short-lived complaint she was already pushing herself up quickly. Again, she staggered, this time letting out a pained gasp and clamping her hand over her upper thigh as she was turning. She would get hit int he side that she was used to supporting herself on when she knelt down. She paid little mind to the twinge beyond that, especially when she saw that Kanone was already doing chest compressions on Aamori. She pulled her hand away and started half running and half limping down the beach, stumbling several times in the sand since both of her legs weren't quite working properly. She nearly fell just as she was getting to them, but managed to land on her knees and get spun around in the right position. She stayed out of Kanone's way for the moment, until he paused on the compressions and looked as if he was getting ready to try to breathe for her. She could tell the poor guy was in a lot of pain himself right now. Before he really got anywhere she tilted Aamori's chin back and gave her two breaths herself before she looked at Kanone and opened her mouth to tell him that she would take over, but he'd already started again. She sighed softly and just kept one hand on Aamori's forehead gently.

Kanone was extremely alarmed when he saw just how unresponsive Aamori was. Hell, for all he could tell she was already dead of course...well you were pretty much dead if you weren't breathing. He felt around her mouth and nose and didn't feel any air coming from her so he immediately folded his hands and started pressing on Aamori's chest firmly while counting silently to himself. He wasn't trained in this at all, and just barely knew what he was doing from watching it being done a few times. He was more or less doing it right, though he really hated the feeling of her chest depressing under his weight, not to mention the force and the way he had to breath was killing his side where the injured rib was. For now, he was doing very well to ignore it, though he would probably have a hell of a lot of difficulty with the next part of this, or...well the part he should have done first. he was almost startled by Hikari's sudden arrival, though he was very glad that she took the job of breathing for him. After she'd done that he went right back into the compressions again, not wanting to waste time to switch out with Hikari. He just wanted Aamori to wake up, he didn't really care how much it hurt right now, though he was sure he would once he was finished. He wouldn't be too surprised at himself if he just rolled over and started crying once he was done, either from pain or from a combination of that and the fact that he hadn't been able to help at all.

Nobu was a bit relieved when Kyran at least looked to see what he was whining about. Somehow he wasn't that surprised that Celestine did nothing more than put a hand over his shoulder to try and comfort him. Since they weren't moving right at the moment he lifted his head and looked up at Celestine while he finally got around to noticing his feet. He could honestly say after hearing how Celestine responded to Kyran about his feet he was a little more than annoyed. He had picked up on the changes in Celestine rather easily but by no means did he see that as just cause to ignore his own well being. He continued to stand there for a moment before he shifted and looked over at Kyran, wanting him to do something about this. They weren't that far from the bottom but there were still a good number of stairs and he didn't think Celestine needed to be walking down the rest of them. He really didn't need more glass lodged into his feet or the pieces already there lodged deeper. Not to mention with his feet cut open and bleeding he really didn't need to step foot on the sand.

Kyran gave a heavy sigh after listening to Celestine. He couldn't believe that Celestine hadn't noticed until it was pointed out. He shook his head and then glanced over at Nobu briefly. He was positive that Nobu felt the same way as him about allowing Celestine to descend the rest of the stairs on his own. It wouldn't be good for his feet and at the rate everything was going Hikari probably wouldn't be able to take care of his feet right away. So it really would be better for him not to walk on them and keep them from getting any worse then they already were. Unfortunately he wasn't too sure how well he could carry Celestine down the stairs or keep his feet from the sand. Nobu on the other hand, he'd have an easier time of keeping Celestine's feet in the clear. He didn't think that Nobu would mind helping with this. He looked back at Celestine while he continued to stay where he was standing, not bothering to move. "You don't need to hurt your feet any more than they already are." He started. "I think you should climb on Nobu's back, to keep you off your feet." He paused. "We'll get down the rest of the stairs once you're off your feet." He told him. He didn't plan to argue with Celestine over it. If he wouldn't get on Nobu's back of his own free will than he'd end up forced onto Nobu's back or just carried down. One way or the other he didn't want Celestine walking on his feet.

LaRae continued to descend the stairs with Nanashi. She kept glancing over to him periodically to see how he was. She sighed quietly when he answered her question with nothing more than 'yes'. She guessed she really hadn't needed to ask him if he was okay, she could kind of tell how he was just by looking at him. She was watching where her feet where going so she didn't notice that Nanashi was falling until she felt her arm going with him. "Nanashi!?" She gasped. She hadn't let go of him so of course she was going to go down with him. She did at least try to pull back and keep him from going down while she still had some footing, but to no avail. With her other arm still weak it was near impossible for her to keep him from falling.

Nero was relieved that he was right. That was a nicely placed emergency that was saving him from having Hikari hovering over him. He watched for a few moments while Hikari struggled to get herself over to help Kanone as quickly as possible. He guessed he could probably have been of some use himself. He was certified in CPR after all. He shrugged lightly. They had it under control or well, they better. He didn't feel like getting up to rush over to help Aamori. Her dumb-ass shouldn't have gone and drown herself. He sighed heavily. She better have at least retrieved the relic. He turned his eyes back down to his leg and started to wrap his fingers around the tooth again to try and pull it out. Just like before he clenched his teeth tightly together and kept himself quiet through the pain of pulling on it and then gave up pretty easily when it still didn't budge for him. It was official, this damn tooth was mocking him. Or at least he thought so. He did give up completely. He tucked his pant leg back down into his boot and then started to lace his boot tightly so that it was exactly like it was before. The tooth didn't hurt that badly while it was stuck in his leg, it was just an annoyance and likely to hurt more after it was removed. For now he'd just put up with it. After he was finished he pushed up from the sand and stood up straight before casting his glance back over towards Hikari and Kanone, curious to see if they'd made any progress.

Aamori didn't respond to the first series of chest compressions or the air being breathed into her. She continued to stay unresponsive for at least two or three more series rotations. When she finally did respond she sucked in a breath and then immediately started coughing harshly. Her lungs felt like they were on fire and her throat was a little sore so coughing wasn't quite that pleasant. Her chest was bound to be more sore than it was before but she wasn't paying any attention to that right now. She felt a little out of it and focused a good deal on trying to catch her breath. As soon as her coughing started to subside a little she started breathing heavily and then cracked her eyes open a little.

Celestine blinked when Kyran told him to get on Nobu's back and then glanced down to Nobu again. He knew Nobu was a big down, but he didn't think he was big enough to put up with his weight, especially when he was drenched. He just shook his head weakly, frowning only slightly. "...I'm too heavy for that... He's not a horse, it will hurt his back." He honestly didn't seem to think that Nobu could stand his weight, especially not right now. He didn't want to hurt Nobu any more than he already had been injured. He absently reached over to Nobu again and started to stroke the canine's shoulder. "Don't worry about it, I can still walk...I'll watch where I'm going," he tried to tell him as he took a slow step forward as if he intended to step around him, though his ears twitched suddenly when he heard something above them and he stopped dead and turned back around quickly, latching onto the rail again as the motion nearly knocked him over backwards. He's almost forgotten about LaRae and Nanashi still being upstairs, though he remembered instantly when he heard something that sounded like something crashing down them.

Nanashi had no control over where he went once his eyes had closed that last time. His legs had given out beneath him immediately and he'd started falling forward, though he was stopped briefly by LaRae when she pulled back which caused him to swing around slightly until he was facing her and his head was pointed toward the wall, as soon as LaRae had lost her footing he had nowhere to go but down. His head smacked into one of the lower steps, though thankfully since his knees had buckled and he was closer to the steps already, he didn't hit quite as hard as he could have. Still, his head cracked off of the steps relatively hard before he started sliding down them at a bit of an angle that quickly turned into a rolling tumble. Had he not already been unconscious he probably would have been by the time he finally came to a stop on the spiraling staircase nearly at the bottom. He had fallen a pretty good distance before he finally ended up on his face and his body stopped flipping and began to slide slowly down the steps until he came to a stop. By then he was just laying there, entirely unmoving. At least if he had snapped anything on his way down he wasn't awake to feel it, though for the most part everything seemed to be in tact save some fresh cuts from the glass on the stairs. Had he been away he probably could have stopped himself a lot sooner by grabbing the railing or something, but he hadn't really gotten that chance.

Kanone and Hikari both kept at the CPR relentlessly until they finally got something out of Aamori. By the third rotation he had been ready to keel over from the pain, but he managed to make it through the next one until Aamoti finally started coughing. The instant that she had inhaled he startled back and then watched her for a moment before he finally fell over on his side, grasping his rib while he tried desperately to recover taking only short breaths, though he couldn't seem to manage and had to breathe more deeply than he liked. Chest compression were extremely tiring and very painful considering that it jarred him every time he did it and after about 100 times it really started to fricking hurt. He was relieved to know that Aamori was alive at least, though he unfortunately wasn't going to be one of the first things that she saw. He wound up just laying over on his side with his back to her while curling up in the fetal position and biting his lip to the point of nearly bleeding while he waited for the pain to fade. Tears had even mange to make their way into his eyes, though that was about as much from nerves as pain. Now that he actually had time, he was starting to freak out about what had just happened a little.

Hikari had been able to tell that Kanone was in pain the whole time that he was working, but the guy seemed determined that he wasn't stopping. She was waiting for him to give out or something, though she was thankful that Aamori came around before he did. She watched as Kanone immediately went to curling in on himself after Aamori was breathing on her own, or trying to at least. She watched Aamori while she coughed and tried to catch her breath and then placed her hand gently to the side of the girl's face. "Aamori?" she asked quietly as she hovered over her worriedly. She knew the poor girl had to be hurting. After all, drowning wasn't exactly a fun way to go...which was probably why Celestine was so afraid of it. She rubbed Aamori's cheek gently and sighed softly when she started to crack her eyes open, "...Are you alright?"

Nobu was thinking along the same lines at Kyran for the most part. He didn't mind at all letting Celestine sit on him, especially if it meant that Celestine's feet were safe from further damage. The other option he had thought of was Kyran carrying him of course. Then again, Kyran wasn't feeling all that great either. He looked up at Celestine again when he felt him touch his shoulder. He didn't care very much for Celestine's decline to get on his back, followed by insisting that he could still walk. Of course he could still walk and in the process he'd be putting that glass deeper into his feet if he wasn't careful. It was already clear that Celestine was incapable of being careful right now. If he had been he wouldn't have glass in his feet to begin with. His ears perked up when he heard what sounded like something falling down the stairs. His ears lowered again relatively quickly when he too remembered that LaRae and Nanashi were behind them, somewhere. Hearing that probably meant someone fell. He started to turn his head and look back up the stairs but paused when he felt Kyran's hand on his head.

Kyran sighed heavily once more hearing Celestine say that he was too heavy. He wasn't that heavy, though the drenched wings did make him heavier than he usually was. It would probably be difficult for Nobu to maneuver with Celestine on his back but he wouldn't have to be like that for that long. Well, unless Hikari was spent. Celestine probably just needed the bare minimum so that he could at least walk on his feet without them bleeding. At this moment in time he really did wish that Celestine wore shoes, good shoes. Ones that would have protected his feet from the glass. He sighed again and was about to open his mouth to protest his walking down the stairs the rest of the way on his own when he heard the same noise that both Celestine and Nobu had. His eyes trailed up the stairs and came to a stop when he thought he just barely saw something, or well, someone. He shook his head lightly and then moved out of Celestine's way and a little closer to Nobu. He set his hand down on Nobu's head lightly as he glanced down at him. "Make sure he gets down the stairs in one piece, alright Nobu?" He told him before glancing to Celestine briefly. It looked like he was getting what he wanted, unless Nobu felt like fighting him on it. For now he felt he needed to check on LaRae and Nanashi since, well, if someone fell it was one of the two of them. He held onto the railing opposite of Celestine and then started to climb back up the stairs. If anything he was getting a work out. It'd been a long time since he'd climbed so many stairs in one day.

LaRae didn't want to let go of Nanashi even if that meant she'd get pulled down along with him. She also wanted to try and stop him from falling if she could, though she wasn't sure how she'd manage that. She tumbled down a couple of the stairs herself before she couldn't hold onto him anymore. Her body hit the stairs rather hard once she wasn't holding onto him any longer and all of her body weight slammed down on her weak arm, pinning her forearm against one of the stairs. She reached out with her good arm to grab hold of one of the spokes in the railing to keep herself from falling down any more of the stairs. She doubted she was going anywhere even without grabbing the spoke. She'd hit the stares and wasn't moving, if anything she'd have slid down a few more. She groaned quietly while she struggled a little to get to her knees. She was more worried about Nanashi and eager to see how he'd fared with the stairs but her attention caught on her arm for a moment. She knew she'd landed on it and it hurt. She turned around on the stairs so that she could sit down for a moment and then released the railing all together while she touched her arm. She wrapped her hand around her forearm a little tightly and felt something move that probably shouldn't have. She sighed heavily. She hadn't heard anything snap but obviously something got broken. She stared at her arm for a moment before letting it go and letting to fall beside her. It was probably better that she didn't have all of the feeling back in her arm when the bone broke or else she'd be in a lot more pain than she was. Thankfully it wasn't really that noticeable either unless you touched her arm. It would probably just look like she wasn't moving it so maybe it'd go unnoticed for now. She really didn't need Hikari pestering her about it. She finally got her feet in motion and got to her feet, making sure to hold tightly to the railing with her good hand while she headed down to check on Nanashi. She hadn't fallen as far down at he had so she was growing increasingly worried as she descended the stairs after him. "Nanashi!?" She called out in a half startled voice when she finally got nearer to him. She continued to hold onto the railing once she was close to him, at least until she was stable enough on the stairs. Then she started to reach out to set her hand on him to shake him lightly. "Nanashi?" She paused and continued to shake him a little. "...Hey ...you need to get up..." She mumbled quietly.

Nero continued to stay where he was and watch Hikari and Kanone trying to resuscitate Aamori. He was about to look away since it was nothing but repetitive motions that didn't seem to be helping. Of course she had to go and respond just before he had decided to look away. He shifted his glance for a moment when Kanone wound up curling in on himself, obviously in pain. He sighed quietly and started to cross his arms over his chest. He winced and then stared down at his arm before shaking his head. So much for standing the way he usually did. He grumbled quietly and dropped his arms back down to his sides before glancing back over at the others. He felt bad for Kanone, he'd probably never show any sign of that though. He didn't mean to hit the guy and he certainly didn't mean to break anything.

Aamori continued to lay there barely moving except for her chests rise and fall while she took in quick deep breaths. After she got her eyes open she blinked a couples times and tried to focus on Hikari. She heard what she asked and had registered that her hand was on her face but she was trying to piece together what had happened so she didn't respond to her question right away. She was having a little trouble remembering much of anything at the moment. Though she did remember that she had been looking for the relic and found it, finally. Her eyes widened for a moment and then tightened her hands together, making the empty one into a fist and then tightening her other around the relic. She relaxed when she realized that she hadn't dropped it. Once she started to get her breathing under some control she let out a relieved sigh and then looked back to Hikari. "...I-I ...think ...s-so..." She choked out quietly. She actually didn't care how she was right now, she was just glad that she hadn't screwed up and dropped the relic. "...W-what ......happened-d?" She asked finally.

Celestine looked back to Kyran for a second when he told Nobu to to make sure that he got down the stairs in one piece. Honestly, he was deliberating on going back up them, since he was kind of worried about Nanashi and LaRae. He was about willing to bet that it was Nanashi who had falling, but LaRae probably went down with him. He stood there for a moment after Kyran had started back up and then started to turn back to look at the rest of the stairs. He turned back around slowly, continuing to cling to the railing. Once he was facing in the right direction again he just stood there, looking at the rest of the steps for a moment before he started to lift his foot slowly to step down onto the next one. There was a nice bloody smear all over the step that he had been on before from where he'd stopped and turned around. He barely even glanced at Nobu as he stepped down onto the next step. He didn't want to make things difficult for Nobu by sitting on him, though if he could carry Aamori then he should be able to carry Celestine without a problem save for the fact that he was drenched. He didn't really think Nobu would want him on his back, anyway, he figured that was probably Kyran's idea.

Nanashi didn't budge an inch after he'd stopped sliding on the steps. Even when LaRae pushed on his shoulder his only movements were from her hand. He had a piece of glass sticking into the small of his back as well as one in his upper arm and several much smaller cuts on his exposed skin. His head had smacked off of the steps so many times that it was almost a surprise that his skull was still in tact, though he was bleeding from a cut in his head as well, either from a piece of glass or from contact with the edge of a step. His left was was twisted up under him on the step and his right was just thrown out at his side, on the step above him. It was hard to tell if he had broken anything from the way that he was splayed out, but if he had it probably would have been an arm before it was a leg. His breathing was still shallow and rapid as if he had been running for a while and was still trying to catch his breath. It was a good thing for him that he was half dragon and did have a good bit of their strengths. If he was human that fall probably would have been the end of him after smacking his head off of those steps so many times. Still, it definitely hadn't been good to tumble down the steps like that for anyone. He would probably be glad that he wasn't awake for that later; right now he wasn't even aware of what planet he was on.

Kanone didn't seem to be in any hurt to move. He heard Aamori speak and ask what happened, and suddenly had a strong urge to scream at her, but he couldn't do much screaming right now. He was doing well just to keep breathing right now, though Aamori was definitely going to get an ear full later. He really wanted to just kiss her and kick her all at once. Finally, he managed to push himself up to a sitting position and looked over to Aamori again. He didn't say a word to her, he just started to scoot back away from the water and then got up and walked away, slightly hunched over with his hand clamped down over his side. If he stayed sitting right there he knew he was going to end up screaming at her or something. He was absolutely furious with her for staying down there long enough to go after that stupid relic. He knew she'd wasted time finding those blades as well and hadn't even bothered to come up for air. He didn't know what she was thinking. He thought next to Nero would be a good place to go hide for a few minutes until he could stand being around people again. He didn't even speak to Nero when he got close to him, he just walked right eye, eyes on the ground, and then sat down slowly behind him while leaning against the outer wall of the tower and let his head hang forward slightly as he drew his knees up to rest his head on. He coughed quietly and then shut his eyes tightly and groaned.

Hikari sighed softly when Aamori was finally able to answer her and then nodded weakly to her. She stroked her cheek again and then glanced up when she noticed Kanone wandering back toward Nero. She looked after him for a moment and tilted his head before she looked back down to Aamori again. "...You stayed under water too long, sweetie... You drown. Kanone went and pulled you out." she said softly as she continued to stroke her cheek, "Can you breathe alright now? Does anything hurt?"

Esen was still standing on the beach, though she had moved much closer to Aamori now. She whined softly and licked the girl's opposite cheek once before she nuzzled her gently. She looked up when she saw Kanone walking away and then looked back to Aamori for a moment before she slowly started to back up and follow him up the beach. She still seemed to be shy around Nero, but she was better about not being so shy when people where injured. She looked at Nero as she approached him, slowly lowering to the ground and ducking her head while she inched closer. She could smell the blood on him and wanted to know if he was alright as well. She whined softly and looked at his leg before she looked up at his face again and whined. She seemed nervous about getting any closer to him than a couple of feet away. She wanted to go sit with Kanone until Celestine got out here or something. She wondered what was taking everyone else so long.

Nobu wagged his tails slightly when Kyran told him to make sure that Celestine got down the stairs in one piece. That went without saying. He turned his head back up the stairs for a moment and watched Kyran as he headed up and then turned his head back to look at Celestine. He still didn't want to have him walk on his own but he couldn't very well go and force Celestine to get on his back, especially not while they were standing on the stairs. He watched Celestine until he started to head down the stairs. He stood where he was for a moment and then finally started after him. '...Since you won't listen to Kyran, can you at least look at your feet when you get down the stairs?' He asked.

Kyran hurried up the last couple steps after he managed to catch sight of Nanashi sprawled out on the steps. Somehow that really didn't surprise him. He managed to get to up to Nanashi just a moment or two after LaRae had reached him. He sighed heavily when he saw that Nanashi didn't respond to LaRae. He looked Nanashi over while he stood there. He noted the piece of glass in his back along with the cuts to his exposed skin. He sighed quietly and then moved to kneel down on the steps close enough to Nanashi that he could get to that piece of glass in his back. Nanashi obviously wasn't going to be able to walk down the stairs himself and if he was going to be carried than that glass should be removed. He reached over once he was stable on the steps and ignored the ache in his back while he took hold of the glass. He didn't bother saying anything about removing it because it was clear what he was doing and Nanashi was out. He pulled straight up on the glass until it was dislodged from his back and then tossed the piece up the stairs where they weren't going to step on it. After the glass was removed he looked up at LaRae and then let his eyes fall back to Nanashi briefly. "...I'll carry him down the stairs, but I may need some help getting him onto my back." He told her. He only thought about it briefly before he decided it'd be better to carry him on his back. If he carried him in front of him he could stand the chance of falling himself since he wouldn't be able to see the stairs. He wasted very little time turning Nanashi over as carefully as possible and then grabbing hold of his forearms. Then in one motion, as quickly as he could he pulled Nanashi by his arms up onto his back while he turned around on the steps carefully. This by no means was going to be comfortable, but there wasn't really any other way to get Nanashi downstairs. "LaRae... can you lift his legs up so that I can take under my arms?" He asked while he struggled a little to stand up.

LaRae stared down at Nanashi with wide eyes since he didn't respond. It wasn't that surprising she guessed that he passed out. It was only a matter of time before it happened. She lifted her eyes a little when she saw Kyran and then watched him as soon as he went to pull the piece of glass out of Nanashi's back. She was glad that Kyran was able to remove it because she wasn't so sure she could. Well, she could pull it out but she was uncomfortable with the idea itself. She lowered her eyes back down to Nanashi while Kyran spoke and gave a nod of her head. She had no problem helping Kyran, especially if that meant that Nanashi was getting downstairs and without falling down any more stairs. She kept her eyes on Nanashi while Kyran turned him over and then started to maneuver so that he could pull Nanashi up onto his back. She started to stand up herself when he did and then nodded again when she heard his request. "...Of course." She said quietly and then inched a little closer. She reached over with her good arm and took one of Nanashi's legs, struggling a little to lift it up one handed and waited until Kyran moved his arm down to take his leg from her. Then she carefully moved around to the other side to do the same thing. "...There. Are you sure you're going to be able to carry him?" She asked quietly. She'd known just how badly Kyran had been hurt himself and yet here he was willing to put himself through more just to carry Nanashi. She smiled weakly when Kyran nodded to her and then he started down the stairs slowly. She moved immediately to descend them just behind him. On the off chance that Nanashi fell backwards.

Nero lifted his eyes a little when he noticed that Kanone was headed in his direction. He watched him while he walked over and then past him. He didn't bother turning around to look at him. He was fairly certain by the sounds of it that Kanone was just sitting on the sand behind him. He shook his head slightly. Why was it everyone hovered around him when they weren't in the mood to be around others? He sighed and then started to shift a little, thinking about looking back at Kanone just to see how he was. He knew what it felt like to have a rib broken so he could imagine the pain Kanone was in. He didn't get the chance to look at Kanone though. Esen had snagged his attention. He stared down at the canine while she whined and looked at him. He quirked a brow slightly and then started to glance back over his shoulder at Kanone. He didn't understand dog, so he wasn't even sure why she was looking at him and whining. He sighed quietly and then glanced back at Esen just before he stepped to the side a couple feet to open a path to Kanone. He still wasn't sure what Esen wanted but his only guess was maybe she wanted to get to Kanone.

Aamori couldn't help but smile a little when she felt Esen lick her cheek and nuzzle her. That was somehow a little comforting right now and the fact that it was Esen of all canines made her a little happy. Mostly because of how shy Esen was. She didn't even notice Kanone get up to leave, she hadn't registered that he was near her to begin with. She only noticed when Esen moved. She turned her attention back over to Hikari when she heard her answering her question. Her eyes widened a bit in shock hearing that she'd downed. That explained the burning sensation she felt in her lungs. She'd never once imagined she'd drown, she'd come close before but never actually had it happen. She stared at Hikari for a moment not really registering that she was stroking her cheek this moment. She turned her head to the side and looked around as best she could. Then she turned her head towards Hikari and looked around again. Hikari had said that Kanone had pulled her out of the water right? She couldn't see him, obviously and she didn't quite feel like trying to sit up right now so she could find him. She finally sighed quietly and looked back up at Hikari. "...M-my chest h-hurts..." She answered. Her wetsuit had already had slices in it from where the barracuda had headbutted her, she had small cuts in her chest thanks to that and to top it all off she'd had to have compressions on her chest which only made everything more sore. Aside from the pain in her chest, the burning sensation in her lungs and a sore throat she wasn't hurting that much and her breathing was already starting to return to normal.

Celestine glanced back to Nobu again when he spoke to him after he got onto the next step. Now that his attention had been called to his feet, they did ache a little, but he still didn't want to weigh Nobu down. He firmly didn't believe in burdening animals to make things easier on yourself, so he wouldn't ride Nobu, now while he was this heavy and the poor dog was injured already anyway. He lowered his hand down to Nobu's shoulder gently, "Yes...I'll look..." he said quietly. He hesitated for a moment before he stepped down onto the next step trying to stay up on his toes, though he gave up on that idea quickly as that seemed to be where most of the cuts were. She shook his head and sighed softly before he glanced back behind him again, trying to see Kyran and what was going on. He bit his lower lip and then looked back to the steps again and continued to ease his way down. He kept his hand on Nobu's shoulders, gently curling his fingers into his fur as he moved. Once he reached the the ground floor he stepped off to the other side the the stairs and then sat down slowly after checking for glass. He pulled his left foot up while stretching out his other leg to keep his weight off of his foot. He stared at the bottom of his foot which was smeared red and sliced open in about three places on the upper area starting just behind his toes and running jaggedly back along his foot. There weren't quite as many cuts on his heel, though there was a puncture or two there, and one piece of glass had managed to lodge itself into one of the cuts behind his toes, looking as if it had rolled under his foot and sliced him a couple of times before it stuck in. He bit his lower lip again and reached down to the piece of glass and carefully pulled back against it, sucking in his breath quietly as he did so. Had he not been quite so out of it he probably would have almost been in tears. After all, the feet were one of the most sensitive spots on the body. He still didn't really care about his feet; they'd heal, and he would wash them later. Once he got the shard of glass out he dropped it and then looked toward the door wistfully. He drew his other foot up, seeing that it was in similar shape as the last one, only with two pieces of glass poking from his skin rather than one. He followed the same motion pulling those out and then stood up again, using the railing to pull himself to his feet. He took a couple of unsteady steps forward and then knelt down to pick up the staff he'd been looking at most of his way down the steps. His feet at least felt a little better without the glass stabbing into his skin with every step, though they were bleeding a little more freely now from the holes that the glass left.

Nanashi, obviously, had no complaints to make about anything that was being done to him. He still didn't move when the glass was removed, nor did he wake when he was rolled over. His skin had paled a little more and was still very cold to the touch, though a lot of that was from being submerged in the cold water. His body didn't regenerate heat as quickly as most would. His head fell back as he was pulled off of the steps and there was a slight grating feeling from inside the left arm when it was pulled on. As soon as he came to a stop against Kyran's back his head fell forward again to rest against the crook of his neck where his breath would probably almost tickle him as it ran across his neck in short,, quick streams. Nanashi would have been glad that he was out cold for this. Not only would he find it humiliating, but he would also feel horrible having Kyran carrying him like this after seeing him slam into that pillar...and after he'd injured him himself just this morning.

Esen tilted her head a little when Nero moved away from her and then whined again softly as she lowered her head again, motioning with her nose toward his legs.

Kanone raised his head slightly when he heard Esen whining so much and looked at her while she was staring Nero down. He stared at her for a moment and then dropped his head back to his knees, facing sideways so that he was looking toward Nero. "...I think...she's worried about your leg...or somethin'." he said quietly, his voice still strained as he tried to fight down the pain. He really didn't know how long this was going to last, but he wished it would stop aching. Every inhale felt like someone kicking him in the side. He watched Esen's tails sway slightly as she looked back to him and then turned her attention back to Nero again. He just closed his eyes. Esen was a really sweet pooch, even if she was shy as a turtle. He knew she wouldn't go up to Nero without some kind of invite. After all, she barely knew him. He assumed she was only acknowledging him because he was bleeding. He opened his eyes again when she whined again and then looked at her before he looked at Nero's leg. "...What is that?" he asked as when he finally noticed the thin poking out of his leg.

Esen's ears perked slightly when she heard Kanone's speak and then her tails swayed gently behind her as she looked back to Nero and whiled softly again while lowering her head and edging just a hair closer to him, sniffing at his injured leg. She saw the tooth poking out of his leg, and she imagined that it wasn't very comfortable. She hadn't realized that he had already been trying to remove it, so she was trying to point out that it was there to him or Kanone or someone. She yipped quietly when Kanone sounded like he'd gotten it and then raised her head a little to look at Nero again. She still wanted to check on Kanone since he sounded like he was in pain, and she also wanted to sit with Aamori, but she was also tempted to stick her head in the door and see where the heck everyone else was. She was starting to get really worried.

Hikari watched as Aamori looked around, not surprised that she seemed shocked that she had drowned. After all, she was a water dragon...death by water sounded almost ridiculous. She knew that she was probably looking for Kanone since she'd mentioned him. "Kanone went to go sit down," she supplied quietly. Her ears fell back a little when she said that her chest her and she sighed, "I know... I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do for that right now, dear... You only have a few cuts there, nothing I could heal to make it feel better." She gently laid her hand down in the center of Aamori's chest with her fingers pointing up toward her chest and rubbed lightly, hoping that would make it feel a little better. She knew that she could send a sort of numbing sensation through the area, but that was just something she really didn't need to be wasting energy on right now. She still had to heal Kanone's rib, and fully intended to get a hold of Nero's leg and arm as well, so soothing pain just wasn't on the top of the priority list, though she was trying the best that she could without using magic.

Nobu was at least glad to hear Celestine say that he would look at his feet. He continued down the stairs, keeping as close to Celestine has safely possible. Once they reached the bottom he moved well out of the way and watched as Celestine sat down to take a look at his feet. He was again, glad. He'd hate to have to go hunt Kanone down to complain to him about the state of Celestine's feet. Or even Hikari for that matter. He didn't mind putting the fact that he could talk on the line if it meant helping someone. Then again he'd have to weigh everything. Celestine wasn't hurt that badly that it would require him not keeping his voice a secret. He shook his head a little and then glanced back to Celestine as he was starting to get up. 'Thank you..' He turned his head back towards the door since they'd be able to go outside now and then looked back at Celestine. '...You shouldn't walk on the sand with open cuts.' He paused, knowing that Celestine would probably just do what ever he wanted anyway. '..It's only going to irritate your feet.'

Kyran shifted a little once LaRae had helped him get a hold of Nanashi's legs. He wasn't too worried about falling down because of the extra weight but there was always a chance that it could happen. After he had started to head down the stairs he paused for a moment just to make sure that LaRae was behind him. That was probably the safest place for her. He shifted a little once more and then proceeded to head down. He had to take the stairs a lot slower than he would have liked. He didn't want to become unbalanced and wind up toppled over and tumbling. While he was headed down he couldn't help but hope that Celestine had made it down alright and maybe Nobu had managed to get him to pay some attention to his bleeding feet. He turned his eyes back down to where he was stepping and gave a heavy sigh when he saw the start of the bloody foot prints that Celestine had left behind. "...Watch where you step, LaRae." He paused and shook his head lightly. "You don't want to slip or anything." He added.

LaRae followed relatively close to Kyran after he was in motion. She was worried about Nanashi to no end, so much so that she'd already forgotten that she'd broken her forearm when she fell. The pain was practically nonexistent right now. She lifted her eyes slightly to try and look at Kyran when she heard him tell her to watch where she stepped. Of course with that she had to look down. She froze for a moment when she saw the small bloody foot prints that were heading down the stairs. After a moment she started walking again, keeping her eyes towards the stairs while she watched where she was going. "...What happened to his feet?" She asked quietly. She assumed based on the size and the fact that the feet were bare that it had to be Celestine. No one else in the group really went around barefoot all the time.

Kyran sighed quietly hearing LaRae's question. He continued to head down without looking back at her or stopping. "There's some glass on the stairs and he didn't notice..." He paused. "...His feet got cut open and well, he bled of course." He answered her. He barely felt the glass under his feet when he stepped on it and it probably would have gone completely unnoticed had Nobu not pointed out Celestine's feet.

Nero eyed Esen after he'd moved away, seeing that she was still focused on him. Well, maybe she wasn't concerned with Kanone right this minute but he couldn't see what Esen could possibly want with him. He quirked a brow again slightly as he looked at her. He just wanted to be left alone and here he gathered two minor annoyances while he lost the biggest; Hikari. He shifted a little and then looked at Kanone when he heard him say something. Esen, worried about his leg? He glanced down at his leg for a moment and then looked back to Esen. He sighed heavily. Wonderful. Another one. As if a worrying Hikari wasn't enough... He shook his head lightly and then started to turn so that his leg wasn't so visible to Esen. Though his leg hadn't gotten past Kanone, thanks to Esen no doubt. He groaned quietly. "...It's a tooth." He muttered. He was pretty sure it was obvious what it was but then again how many people did you know that would leave a tooth in their leg.

Aamori looked at Hikari when she said that Kanone went to sit down. Well, that at least meant that he had been here. She sighed quietly which cut short by a small cough. She shut her eyes for a moment after hearing that Hikari couldn't do anything for her pain right now. She understood why, at least she thought she did. She kept her eyes shut when Hikari touched her chest and rubbed lightly. "...I-It doesn't hurt ...that bad." She said quietly. In all actuality it shouldn't hurt that badly, to a normal person. Her pain tolerance was low, nonexistent really. So of course even the pain in her chest hurt like hell. To top that all off she still had cuts in her back from where Kanone had pulled glass out. She couldn't really feel those right now but no doubt they were getting sand in them. She finally cracked her eyes open again and started to move a little. She kept her hand wrapped around the relic but moved her hands so that she could try and push herself up so that she could at least sit up. She struggled a bit under her own weight and didn't get very far before her arms gave out and she dropped right back down onto the sand. She sighed heavily, which again broke short by a couple of small coughs. It wasn't killing her to lay here, she guessed. A few more minutes wouldn't hurt and then she could try sitting up again.

Celestine stared at the staff for a few moments and then felt around at the gems near the center until he found the one that was supposed to make it change sizes. He held it down and let the staff extend to it's full length and then press it again so that it would go back to it's little compact baton size. He held the staff tightly in his hand before he glanced back to Nobu again when he told him that the sand would irritate his cuts. He had only taken one step toward the door before he paused, hesitating. He stared at the floor for a long moment. There was still sand on the ground floor from where they had tracked it inside when they entered down here as well. He knew there was no way that he could go outside without stepping in the stand really, or at lest no way that was easy. He just stared at the door and then shifted positions slightly. Even if he could fly right now he'd have to wait until he was outside to get into the air and by then he would already have sand in the cuts so it wouldn't matter anyway. He sighed softly and closed his eyes. "...It's alright...there's no way to avoid it..." he said quietly as he started to take another slow step toward the door.

Esen whined softly again when Nero moved to look away from her and then turned around to scurry over to Kanone and curled up beside him. She nuzzled up against him, avoiding the area that he seemed to be holding. She snorted at the scent of him since he smelled strongly of that dead fish-man that he'd carried outside. She looked back to Nero once and then tilted her head slightly and while before she started to lick the side of Kanone's face where all of the blood was, trying to clean him off a little.

Kanone watched Esen come scurrying over to him and then raised his head slightly to look at Nero. He tilted his head a little when he said that it was a tooth. "...Is it stuck or is that your version of a trophy?" he asked, sounding a little concerned. He shut his eye and turned his head a little when Esen started to lick his face, though he smiled slightly. "Hey...come on...ew," he said as he pushed her nose away gently, "I'll clean myself off later, I don't need help." He rubbed the top of her head gently before he turned his attention back to Nero. He didn't seem terribly concerned about the tooth, not right now at least. It was just going to bleed a lit when it was removed and it didn't seem to be bothering him a whole lot right now, so he wasn't going to worry about it until later.

Hikari sighed softly when she said that it didn't hurt that bad. She knew about how Aamori acted when she was hurt even a little, even Celestine's little slap to the face had left her sobbing shortly after when it had time to start stinging. She watched her as she started trying to sit up and then shook her head, ready to help her until she fell back again. She winced a little when Aamori hit the sand and then sighed softly. "Just lay down for a few minutes, alright? I'll help you sit up when you're ready." She moved her hand again and gently started to rub Aamori's arm this time. She finally glanced down and realized that she was clutching the relic. She smiled, glad to see that she was able to get it and that they weren't going to have to try this again. "...Good job, Aamori..." she said quietly.

Nobu kept his eyes on Celestine while he retracted Aamori's staff and then inched closer to him when he started to move closer to the door. '...There is a way to avoid it.' He paused and looked up at him. 'You could just get on my back like Kyran suggested or ...if you're adamant against that at least wrap your feet up or something.' He knew there wasn't really anything handy that Celestine could use to cover his feet but if he really had to he did have clothing that could easily be torn a little to protect his feet, at least until someone could look at them.

Nero glanced back at Kanone for a moment and rolled his eyes a little. "...I thought I'd model it for a few hours, see what others thought of it." He paused with a huff. "Of course it's stuck. The damn thing doesn't want to come out." He muttered angrily. He wasn't really mad at Kanone, he was just peeved that he couldn't even pull a stupid tooth out of his leg. Something so small, comparatively speaking, was getting the better of him. Well, at least he wasn't back home. He'd be the laughing stock of his company right about now. A stupid little tooth and he couldn't even remove it by himself. He sighed heavily and started to lift his arms to cross them again but caught himself just before the motion was completed. He dropped his arms back down to his sides in a defeated manner. He couldn't even stand the way he was comfortable. This was irritating. He was ready to leave.

Aamori nodded her head weakly when Hikari said to just lay down for a few minutes and that she'd help her when she was ready to sit up. She certainly wasn't ready to sit up yet. The only real reason she had even tried was because she had kind of wanted to see who all was out here and see where exactly Kanone had walked off to. Since he had helped she was a little surprised that he hadn't stuck around. She focused on Hikari again when she started to rub her arm. She shut her eyes gently at least until she had heard her say 'good job'. She cracked an eye open to look at Hikari for a moment before she realized what she had been meaning. She shut her eye again and sighed quietly. "...I ...guess so..." She mumbled. "This... could have taken ...a lot ...longer..." She paused. "...and ...the only drawback..." She sighed. "...I apparently went ...and drown myself." How pathetic. She clenched the relic a little tighter for a moment and then relaxed the muscles in her arm. She couldn't believe she, a water dragon had drown herself and all because she didn't want the ocean to sweep the relic too far away from her before she could find it.

Celestine looked back to Nobu again and stared at him for a moment before he sighed quietly. He didn't have anything to wrap his feet up in, and he didn't want to go tearing up his clothes. After all, he didn't have many that actually fit him. He stared at him for a few moments and then shook his head a little. "...Nobu...I'm heavy..." he said quietly, "I don't want to make you carry me, that's isn't fair to you." He ran his fingers over Nobu's fur gently again. "I can wash my feet later or something..." He glanced back to the door again and then sighed. Well, he was at a bit of a loss. He had three options, and he didn't like any of them. Riding Nobu was the most appealing of the three for him, but he really didn't want to strain the poor animal. Really he probably wasn't quite as heavy as he thought he was, he he still wasn't really light when he was like this. Even Kyran had trouble carrying him before when they all got caught in the rain. He sighed softly and continued to just stand there before he looked back toward the stairs again to see how Kyran and the others were fairing.

Esen laid her ears back a little when Kanone pushed her nose away and then nuzzled his shoulder gently before she laid down beside him. She whimpered when she heard Nero's irritated tone and laid down as if she was trying to hide behind Kanone for the moment.

Kanone blinked when Nero said that he was just modeling it for a few hours. "It looks wonderful, darling..." he said in a tone mocking a fashion guru. He smiled weakly and then sighed quietly, "Yeesh...sorry I asked..." he said quietly. He still didn't raise his voice much above a whisper. He didn't really feel like talking, but he couldn't seem to resist. "...I doubt I'm any stronger than you, but it might be easier to let someone else get it from where it is... Your arm doesn't exactly bend in....that direction." He tilted his head a little, "...I can try to get it if you'll hold still...But you're going to bleed like a stuck pig after that thing is out..." His ears laid back a little. That looked painful, but Nero didn't seem to be paying it too much mind. "...Is it hurting?"

Hikari sighed softly, "...Well...you got it, and you're alive... I suppose that is all that matters now." She placed her hand back to Aamori's cheek again lightly, "...But you shouldn't be so reckless... You really could have been in trouble, Aamori... You scared us half to death. Be more careful... We don't need you getting yourself killed. Your clan would have our heads, not to mention how we would feel... You really scared me... And how do you think Celestine and Kanone would feel? You have to be more careful." She kept her voice low and gentle while she spoke, as if she was speaking to a child. Apparently they really were going to have to keep a close eye on Aamori... she certainly knew how to get herself into trouble.

Nobu stared up at Celestine when he again said that he was heavy and rejected the idea of riding on his back. He was mildly annoyed to be honest. He wouldn't be pushing Celestine to get on his back if he didn't mind it and if he didn't mind than how was it not fair? If it wasn't fair than he'd not even offer his services. Why couldn't he be like Aamori and actually kind of like the idea? At least then this wouldn't be such a pain in his purple soon to be fluffy ass. He continued to stand there for a moment and then finally gave up trying to reason with Celestine and get him to do what was best for him. It was obvious that if he wanted Celestine off of his feet he'd have to do something about it himself. Sure his head was still aching, but right now that was the least of his worries. A headache would go away with time and it was easily forgotten when you had something else to preoccupy your time and energy with. He stepped out of Celestine's reach and moved behind him, not bothering to leave any time for Celestine to really react. He crouched down low and then wiggled his body between Celestine's legs, forcing them apart and then standing back up so that he was forced to sit on his back. '...There....' He muttered. 'Don't you dare go getting off either. I'll just chase you down and put you right back where you are now. I'm also sure you're aware you wouldn't get very far before I caught you anyway...' He was aggravated but not really mad at Celestine. He didn't bother to really wait for Celestine to get comfortable before he went ahead and started to pass through the door. On the off chance that Celestine decided to jump off he thought he might rethink that if the ground he'd have to stand on was sand. Just because he was an animal it didn't mean he couldn't be used to help others. After all it wasn't the end of the world just because Celestine was on his back. Now... someone like Nero, Kanone even, that... would be uncomfortable and he doubted he'd be able to get two steps before collapsing. Celestine was lighter than them to begin with, the drenched wings were the only thing that made him heavier. Even so, it wasn't like he was going to stuck on his back forever.

Kyran continued to head down the stairs one step at a time as carefully as he could. With Nanashi's dead weight he didn't want to slip or anything. He paused briefly for a moment as he neared the bottom of the stairs to shift the weight a little. He sighed quietly and then glanced back as best as he could to check on LaRae before he started to head down the stairs again. He finally reached the bottom of the stairs just about the time that Nobu was heading outside. Once he was off of the stairs he stepped out of the way of the stairs and then looked back to see LaRae. He watched her come down as well and then glanced towards the door for a moment. "...I didn't ask before, but are you alright... did you fall down the stairs too?" He asked curiously since he was just now thinking about it.

LaRae followed behind Kyran the whole way down while he was carrying Nanashi. Of course she stopped whenever he did and made sure that Nanashi wasn't going anywhere. Once they were finally off of the stairs she lifted her eyes up to Kyran when she heard his question. She stared at him for a moment before she dropped her eyes down to her arm for a brief moment. She didn't want to go saying she'd been hurt falling down the stairs. She looked back at him and nodded her head weakly. "I'm alright." She answered. "I tumbled down a couple steps but managed to stop before I fell as far as Nanashi...." She said quietly.

Nero turned his head slightly to half glare over at Kanone. "If it looks so wonderful maybe I should get you one to match." He paused. "Or better yet. You can have mine once it's removed." He sighed heavily after listening to everything Kanone said following his attempt to be funny. "Yes it hurts." He answered. "You learn to ignore little things like this." He paused. "...I'll think about having someone else try to remove it once we're back at the training building or something." He was well aware that it was going to bleed a lot once the tooth was removed and he had decided he'd rather mess with it once he was somewhere that he could clean the wound properly.

Aamori slowly cracked her eyes open again once Hikari started to talk in more length. She could only manage to keep her eyes focused on Hikari for a few moments before she averted her eyes. She felt bad for scaring any of them. It wasn't like she drowned herself on purpose. She just wasn't thinking things through that well. Her first priority was getting a hold of that relic and she wanted to do it before the ocean had a chance to make finding it any more difficult. The ocean was huge after all and that relic could end up anywhere. She guessed she wouldn't really have a valid argument all things considered. She didn't come up for air after the blades mostly because she wanted to find the relic and if she left the ocean floor before she found it she was liable to miss any currents that could shift the location, thus making the job of finding the stupid thing much harder. It probably would have made a world of difference if she'd actually been paying attention to how much time she spent under the water. She was usually pretty good about knowing when she'd need to resurface. She sighed quietly after Hikari was finished and then started to glance over at her again. "......I'm ...sorry, for scaring you......" She mumbled quietly. "I... didn't mean to..." She added lastly.

Celestine was still looking up the stairs when Nobu moved away from him, though he was in the process of turning his head when he felt his legs being shoved apart. He gasped in surprised and let out a startled, "AHH!" as he nearly fell over backwards when Nobu stood up with him now on his back. He tightened his legs around him to keep himself on and threw himself forward, wrapping his arms around his neck tightly for a moment while taking in a few deep breaths, obviously startled by his almost fall. He looked at Nobu again and sighed when he started telling him not to get off. He started to loosen his grip a little and sit up until Nobu started to move, then he fell right back where he was and held on for dear life. Thankfully, he was at least aware enough not to choke the poor animal while he went outside. Celestine quite obviously was not accustomed to riding anything by the way that he was clinging. After a few moments he finally got brave enough to loosen his grip a little and began stroking Nobu's neck gently with one hand as he sighed and leaned his head forward to rest lightly against the back of Nobu's. As ordered, he didn't try to get off and Nobu could probably feel him relax a little once he felt the wind after they'd stepped outside, though he immediately began shivering again moments later, this time mostly from the chill. He was still entirely unnerved and honestly just wanted to get off of this island altogether and go find somewhere where he could curl up out of everyone's way. He knew he had been of absolutely no help to anyone today, all he'd done was get in people's way and cause one more huge inconvenience. He shut his eyes as he nuzzled his face against Nobu's soggy fur. "...Are you sure...I'm not too heavy...?" he asked quietly.

By the time they had reached the bottom of the stairs, Nanashi was starting to come around a little. His left arm ached terrible, along with most every other part of his body. He was surely going to have bruises all over him later, but his arm and his head were what hurt him the most. He started to crack his eyes open a little, though his vision was so fuzzy that he could barely even make anything out. The last thing that he remembered he was standing just a little way from the top of the stairs and he remembered the feeling of falling. He's only just barely opened his eyes when that memory hit him and he startled violently with a frightened gasp, jerking himself back for a moment before he felt himself falling, only then did he realize that he hadn't been falling...but he was, now. He quickly grabbed for whatever was available with both arms and latched onto Kyran again for life, his right around his neck and his left clutching at his upper chest. Luckily for Kyran, Nanashi was extremely weak right now so his grip at it's tightest was just enough to hold him upright. Now that he was at least half awake again, everything pertaining to him was starting to register. He was cold, he'd already started shivering again, and nearly everything on him hurt, especially his head. Had his hair not already been wet he could have probably felt the blood now matting part of it to his head, though the color was only slightly different from his natural color, so it was hard to visibly notice unless you were really looking for it. He still didn't know exactly where he was or who had him, he didn't have time to notice that. He had already shut his eyes again tightly and started to burrow his head into Kyran's shoulder as hard as he could, trying to relieve the godawful pain in his head. Even with all of his built up pain tolerance this was almost unbearable. He gritted his teeth, though his breathing had changed from the steady, yet labored, breaths he had been taking before to shorter, tiny gasps as as he tried to bear the pain. He would hold his breath for a second and then gasping a few breaths before he held for a second or two and then started to gasp again. He really wanted to pass out again, and would probably get his wish soon enough, but right this second he really just wanted to scream. He was trying not to make any noise at all since he was only vaguely aware of his surroundings, but he couldn't stop himself from whining and whimpering as he tried to press his skull through Kyran's shoulder.

Kanone smiled again, weakly, at Nero. "...I think I'd like it better...on a rope," he said quietly when he told him that he could have it after it was out. He nodded slightly when he answer his questions and concerns. "...Heh...wish I could say...my pain tolerance was...that high..." He finally laid his head back down on his knees lightly, though still facing Nero for the moment since it was apparent that he wasn't going to let him touch him right now. "...Just be careful...with those..." he added quietly as he shut his eyes again. He'd about had it with conversation again, so that sounded like a closing statement. He only seemed to be able to keep his head down for a few moments though before he looked up again and turned his gaze back down the beach to look at Aamori. He stared at her for a moment and then slowly raised his hand in front of his face to look at it. It was still visibly shaking now that he held it away from him. Aamori had scared the lift out of him. He'd honestly thought she was as good as dead. He let out a small, shaky breath as he closed his hand into a fist and then looked away before wrapping his arm back around his middle again with the other one and laying his head back on his knees.

Hikari sighed softly when Aamori answered her the way that she did. She couldn't help but feel sorry for her, even as she was scolding her. "...I know, dear...just don't do it again," she responded gently as she stroked her cheek again a few times. "...I just want you to understand how close you were... You were way too close..." she said quietly, "You are a very lucky girl. CPR doesn't always work in these cases...you're really lucky someone got to you so fast..."
