Nobu wasn't really surprised to see that Celestine had little to no knowledge of how to ride on an animal. Seeing as Celestine was clinging to him like he was in the beginning he was careful while he walked. He was glad to finally feel when Celestine relaxed a little. He had thought it might be best to at least walk out somewhere in the sun where both he and Celestine stood a better chance of drying. He was a little taken back when he noticed the sun was nearly set. There was no way he'd be able to take advantage of the sun if it wasn't up. He shook his head slightly and paused a good couple feet from the door. He shifted slightly and then shook his head a little once he'd heard Celestine's question. 'Not really.' He paused. 'Stop worrying about it already, I wouldn't have picked you up if I didn't think I could handle it.' He told him. Celestine was certainly heavier than anything that he'd carried lately but it wasn't completely unbearable.
Kyran nodded slightly to LaRae when she answered his question. "So long as you're alright." He said quietly and then started to look back towards the door. He startled rather suddenly when he felt Nanashi jerking himself back. He hadn't even thought Nanashi was awake. He was relieved when Nanashi was able to grab hold of him to keep himself from falling backwards. He knew he couldn't move his arms to grab him and keep him from falling so he was glad Nanashi did that himself. "Nanashi? You alright?" He asked sounding concerned seeing as Nanashi's breathing had changed and he'd been pressing his head into his shoulder. Since Nanashi was awake now, for how long he was unsure, he wanted to make sure that Nanashi wasn't hurt too badly or in need of immediate care.
LaRae was relieved that Kyran seemed to believe her well enough when she said that she was alright. She'd had enough fighting over getting medical care to last her the rest of this trip. Her eyes widened a little and she startled terribly when she saw Nanashi jerk back from Kyran. She immediately moved closer to try and keep him from falling backwards and stopped when he managed to get himself upright on his own. That was a relief at the very least. She stuck closer to Kyran at the moment just in case and she was about to open her mouth and ask Nanashi if he was alright but Kyran beat her to it.
Nero turned his eyes towards Kanone briefly and then shook his head a little at the comment about pain tolerance. In his opinion dark clan dragons probably had higher pain tolerances, naturally. Then again they had to in order to go through the military training. The tooth in his leg was almost nothing compared to various other pains that he'd felt and this was easily ignorable. For now at least. He turned his eyes away when Kanone appeared to be done talking. Now, if only the other people who hid behind him could learn to shut up so quickly. Then he might not be bothered so much by their presence. He glanced over towards the door for a moment when he caught sight of Nobu and... Celestine ...on his back. He quirked a brow slightly and then looked back to Kanone. "...Your cousin's finally outside." He commented quietly.
Aamori shifted her glance a little and started to focus more on Hikari since she wasn't fuming mad or anything. She was surprised actually, by how nice Hikari was being, or trying to be. She had half expected to be yelled at like usual. Not necessarily by someone in the group, but just in general. Hisako was pretty good at yelling at her when she was angry about something. She nodded weakly when Hikari said for her not to do it again. That went without saying. She didn't want to go drowning again and hopefully by the next time she had to be in the water for any extended period of time she'd have learned the ability that helped with that. She shifted her eyes away again, dropping them to the lower corner opposite of Hikari. She knew she was lucky, she knew that the second she was able to get herself in one of her own bubbles. Without that than she surely would've drowned at the bottom of the ocean, rather than get to the surface where someone could help her. Now that she was remembering everything, at least everything from before she actually lost consciousness, she felt pretty stupid. She nearly killed herself and for what? A stupid relic that she probably could have asked Zale to look for if she couldn't find it right away. Even worse, she felt terrible for scaring them. Especially Kanone. She hadn't noticed it but she'd started crying at some point through everything that Hikari had said and everything she'd been thinking.

Nanashi still had his eyes shut tightly and only barely registered Kyran's voice when he spoke to him. His voice sounded extremely loud, even that hurt his head. He whimpered again and tried to press his head against his shoulder harder. When he finally realized what Kyran had asked he shook his his a little without legging up the pressure. He was still very dazed, but he did remember well enough to know who he was with and most of what had happened before, though he didn't know where they were now or how long he had been out. "...I-I...I'm...I'm....o-okay..." he whimpered quietly, his voice strained with pain to the point that he sounded about three seconds from bursting into sobs, "...I'm okay...." The grip that he had with his left arm started to loosen since he finally realized that was part of what was hurting so bad. It was hard to notice with his gloves on, but there was a slight raise in his forearm that shouldn't have been there as compared to his other arm, though the raise hadn't really been that bad before his arm was moved. his breathing had only changed mostly because he was hurting and his chest hurt as he tried to breathe, but he was too short of breath to hold it for long. He was at least trying the best that he could not to let on that he was in pain, even though it was obvious just by looking at him and listening to him, he still wouldn't admit it. He finally realized that his feet weren't on the ground anymore and that it was a person that he was clinging to so for dear life. He finally raised his head slowly, trying to ignore the throbbing pain that ran through his head with every heartbeat. He turned his head slightly to look at Kyran again, his eyes only open a crack while his brows were knitted in concentration while he tried to focus. "...K...Kyran....y-you...don't...h-have t-to....c-carry...me...." he finally managed get out quietly. He did at least remember that Kyran was injured enough that he didn't want to have him trying to carry him. He felt his throat catch shortly after he'd finished speaking and ducked his head again quickly as he started coughing roughly into the back of Kyran's shoulder and his own arm, trying to clear his airway of his own saliva which he'd apparently inhaled. Once he finally got the cough under control he whined again quietly while he pressed his aching head against Kyran again. That definitely didn't help his little migraine at all. "...I'm...Okay..." he mumbled quietly in case any of them had asked and he hadn't heard, or just to try to emphasis the wistful statement.
Celestine nodded his head weakly against Nobu's fur when he told him to stop worrying about it. "...I'm sorry..." he whispered quietly. He continued to stroke the side of Nobu's neck gently. "...I didn't mean to make you have to carry me... I just wanted to get outside...." he said in that same tiny voice, sounding much more childish than he usually did. He probably would have been angry at himself if he'd actually been listening to his own voice. Even being outside now didn't seem to help him calm down too much. He'd relaxed a little, but he was still badly shaken by the whole little incident.
Esen's ears perked up when she heard what Nero said and she stood up quickly before she started around Kanone and past Nero, looking up as him as she edged past him a little more slowly. Once she was clear of him she padded across the sands quickly, careful to avid the glass int he sand, until she'd reached Nobu and Celestine. She whined and then sniffed at Celestine's feet before she caught scent of Nobu's blood as well. She nuzzled him gently and then whined again as she licked his face a little. 'Are you alright? What happened? You're bleeding...' She whined again quietly as she tried to clean him off a bit. After seeing all of the water that had run out of the tower before and how wet everyone was, she was really glad that she hadn't gone in with them.
Kanone blinked when he heard Nero's comment and then raised his head slightly and looked at Celestine. He blinked when he saw him on Nobu's back and immediately knew there must be something wrong. Celestine wouldn't dare make Nobu carry him just because he was tired. It didn't take him long after Esen had turned her attention to Celestine's feet for him to see the red drops dripping from his feet. He knew immediately what must have happened, and he let out an exasperated sigh as he pushed himself up, looking annoyed all over again...or just outright pissed off. He walked closer to Celestine and Nobu and looked at his feet before he shook his head. "Celestine, for the love of all things holy, why can't you wear shoes!? I told you to watch out for the glass! What's wrong with you!? You and Aamori! I swear to god you don't even need a guardian, you do enough damage to yourselves! Can't I turn my back on your for five minutes!? You just couldn't come out of there unhurt, could you!?" He spewed. Had it just been Celestine's feet he probably wouldn't have been quite that upset, but after what Aamori had done, his nerves were quite obviously on end. Kanone never yelled, or well, it was a very rare event and one that none of them had probably seen thus far, but he certainly was throwing a fit right now, even if his rib was wanted to stab him in protest. He ran his hand up through his wet, tangled hair in frustration and then just growled irritably. He didn't know how much more he could take in one day. He was about as irritated at Nero was about not being able to stand the way he liked. He was ready to leave. He just stood there huffing until he finally wrapped his other arm around his middle again. "Gods!"
Celestine raised his head when Esen came over and reached down slowly to stroke her head before she started licking Nobu's face all over. He froze for a moment when he heard Kanone's voice and his tone when he said his name and then slowly turned to face him. He long Kanone went on the further back Celestine's ears laid until they were actually pointing slightly downward. By the time Kanone had finished ranting his fingers had twisted themselves up in Nobu's fur and he looked just like a cowering puppy that someone was coming after with a rolled up paper, huge watery eyes and all. He was nearly right on the very edge of tears, but he didn't make a sound. After a moment his eyes scanned the beach warily until he saw Aamori laying on the sand and then his eyes widened slightly and he sat up a little, his breath catching in his throat. He looked back to Kanone with that same wide eyed and questioning expression before he opened his mouth, but his question didn't come out of his trebling lips.
Hikari kept her eyes on Aamori and sighed softly when she realized that she was crying. "Hey...don't cry..." she whispered softly as she gently wiped the tears from her cheeks. "It's alright now...it's alright..." she said gently. She blinked when she heard Kanone shouting at Celestine even from down here. She had no idea what was going on up there, but she gathered that Celestine must have done something to his feet. After hearing the part about glass she realized why he must have been on Nobu's back. She just sighed heavily and dropped her head with a heavy sigh as she raised her other hand to her face. Wonderful...one more thing to worry about. "Give me a break..." she muttered quietly to herself, "Can anything else possibly go wrong today?" She was already tired and she didn't feel like dearling with anything more today. She wanted to take care of Nero and Kanone...and Aamori, and now apparently Celestine, and then she had to take care of her own leg and then she just wanted to go to bed.
Oh wasn't she going to be excited when she saw Nanashi and LaRae?

Kyran glanced over to LaRae briefly when he noticed that she had moved closer. It was a good thing he didn't mind people close to him. With as worried as she looked she was almost glued to him just to be closer to Nanashi. He stood quietly while he waited for a response of any sort from Nanashi. He gave a heavy sigh after hearing the way that Nanashi said he was okay. Why was it when people were in pain they had to lie about it? In Nanashi's case he couldn't successfully lie about the pain or being hurt even if he tried. His voice gave him away too easily. He shifted Nanashi's weight a little. Standing in one place without really moving was a little uncomfortable, especially with his back as sore as it was. After they got back to the training building he was kind of looking forward to the baths. He'd had more than enough water today but the warmth from those baths would feel good on his back no doubt. He shook his head immediately when he heard Nanashi say that he didn't have to carry him. He was kind of used to hearing that at least. "...You're right." He paused. "I don't have to carry you. But I am and I will continue to do so." He told him. "You're far too weak to even carry your own weight and you already passed out once. We don't need you passing out again and injuring yourself further." He stated lastly. He tried to turn his head to look at Nanashi but of course given the positioning that was a little difficult. He was a bit worried himself especially once Nanashi had started coughing. He didn't know what caused it but he was relieved when he got it under control and followed up with letting them know he was okay. He sighed softly and didn't bother to say anything else. He couldn't help thinking that they could be the hold up and the sooner that they were outside the closer they could be to getting off this stupid island. He started to lift his leg to take a step and immediately he regretted standing in one place for the amount of time he had. His feet felt like lead and it wasn't quite so easy to get walking again. He staggered forward a little once his feet were moving and then tried to straighten himself out as best as he could as he headed for the door. He was already dreading the sand. He knew that was going to wreak havoc on his back. But he was do his best to endure that, after all someone was going to have to carry Nanashi and he wasn't sure anyone else was really in any better shape to do it.
Nobu huffed quietly after hearing Celestine. 'You didn't make me have to carry you. I had the option of not doing a thing to help you and I chose to help you. So you can stop apologizing and stop feeling bad about this. I said it was okay and I meant it.' He didn't want Celestine feeling bad about this and he certainly didn't need him apologizing to him. He shifted a little under Celestine and turned his head towards Esen a little when she came over. He lowered his head slightly after she started licking his face. He wasn't exactly used to having someone cleaning him off like that. He'd never been around others of his kind, let alone other animals who felt like cleaning him up. He knew he was bleeding but hadn't been paying it any mind. His head still hurt of course but he wasn't focused on it. He shook his head a little since Esen was so concerned. '...I'm alright. My head aches, but I'm alright.' He started. '...I got hit in the head... over a half dozen times, that's all.' He explained quietly.
Nero turned slightly and watched when Kanone got up to go over to Celestine and Nobu. He tilted his head slightly after Kanone had started running off at the mouth. He gave a heavy sigh and then shook his head. Maybe it would have been better for him not to point out that Celestine was finally outside. From where he was standing he could tell that Celestine had done a number on his feet, especially if they were dripping blood. He only half listened to Kanone's ranting. Once Kanone was done he had already started to head over there himself. He caught how Celestine looked after Kanone lost it and just shook his head again before he firmly planted his hand down on Kanone's shoulder. "Just because you're upset, unnerved, what ever you want to call it... that doesn't mean that right now is the time or the place to lose your marbles and yell at your cousin. Especially with the state that your in. You're only going to add unnecessary strain to your body." He told him in a rather stern but calm tone. "After both of you have recovered... then you can chew him out as much as you like." He added an then let go of his shoulder. He turned his eyes down to Celestine for a moment, having caught him look over at Aamori when he did. "Aamori, the idiot drowned herself while trying to get the relic." He answered, assuming that Celestine had been wanting some explanation. He gave a typical response without a whole lot of detail. This was Nero after all, what did any expect?
Aamori shut her eyes almost immediately when Hikari told her 'don't cry'. She hadn't noticed that she had been crying so of course she was embarrassed now. She continued to lay there unmoving for a moment before she dared to open her eyes again. "...I'm sorry..." She mumbled quietly. She really did feel bad for scaring them and there wasn't anything she could do to make it better. She stared up at Hikari with a half blank expression on her face when she heard Kanone of all people, yelling. She wasn't sure what surprised her more... Kanone yelling or that it was Celestine he was yelling at. She continued to lay there for a few moments longer before she finally decided that she wanted to try and sit up again. She clenched her hand tightly around the relic once again and then started to push herself up. She got further than she did the last time she tried to sit up. This time she was able to at least get herself propped up on her arms. A little more and she'd be able to sit up without using her arms to keep her from falling back. After she got partially upright she immediately wanted to press her hand to her chest because it hurt but doing so would surely drop her right back down into the sand. She whined quietly and gritted her teeth together momentarily while the pain subsided from her chest. "....W-whats wrong...?" She gasped quietly as she glanced back over at Hikari, guessing something had to be wrong considering what she asked about anything else going wrong.

Nanashi, for once, wasn't in the mood to argue with Kyran...it took too much air. He just leaned his head back against him again after he'd told him that he would continued to carry him. He knew that Kyran was in pain as well, and he really felt like a pain right now. He half wished that he'd listened to Celestine and stayed behind, though had that fish not graded most of the skin off of his upper body he probably would have been perfectly fine. "...I'm sorry..." he whispered quietly. The proper response probably would have been 'thank you,' but he felt a little worse for Kyran than grateful for being carried.
Esen whimpered again when Nobu told her what had happened to him. 'Oh...poor thing...' She continued to lick him, at least until Kanone started yelling. Once that started up she yipped and scurried around Nobu, crouching down on the opposite side of him. She'd never seen Kanone angry or upset before, so she was a little more than startled to see him going off at Celestine like that.
Celestine was at least relieved to hear that Nobu really didn't mind the added weight, though he still felt bad for messing his feet up...even more so after Kanone had started on him. He seemed to shrink away even more when Nero came over to talk to Kanone and then his eyes widened even more, if that were even possible when he said that Aamori had drowned herself. He looked back to her quickly, and then let out a relieved sigh when he saw her sitting up, his body relaxing again. Nero kind of forgot to mention that she was still alive, that was why he'd gotten so panicked, but since she was sitting up, that was a pretty good sign that she wasn't dead.
Kanone startled slightly when Nero placed his hand on his shoulder and then looked over at him. He was still panting and obviously had hurt himself while he was yelling, but he still looked thoroughly agitated. He didn't say a word to Nero, he just looked at him for a long moment while the irritation drained from his face before he glanced back to Celestine and actually looked at the kid. He sighed again and then lowered his eyes again after seeing the way that Celestine was acting. He had seen that loon on his face before when he was being bullied by kids twice his size, but he'd never seen him look at him that way. He raised his eyes again and looked at Celestine again, catching the panicky in his expression before he relaxed. He just sighed again and shook his head slightly, "...Yeah, Cel, she's alive... Luckily..." he said dully. He stared at Celestine for a moment before he noticed the the kid was shaking like a leaf. He didn't know if he was cold or just that shaken up over everything. Finally, he moved closer to him and wrapped his arms around him gently. "...I'm sorry..." he said quietly as he held onto him and stroked his back, absently forcing a good deal of water out of his wings in the process. "I didn't mean to scare you...I'm not that mad," he said gently, "...Just be more careful...okay? I'm sorry..." Aamori was the one that he really wanted to yell at but....well, he guessed yelling really wasn't solving anything.
Celestine looked at Kanone for a moment when he apologized and then leaned his head against him gently and closed his eyes. His ears were still laid back in shame and he didn't say a word, but apparently he was willing to forgive. He looked over to Aamori again and now more than ever wished that he could get off of Nobu's back so he could go check on her himself.
Hikari looked back to Aamori when she started trying to sit up and then reached over to her and gently placed her hand behind her shoulder blades in case that she fell backwards again. She didn't want her to fall back and hurt herself, not that the sand would do too much harm. She shook her head a little when Aamori asked what was wrong. "Oh...don't worry about it..." she said quietly, "Nothing is bad wrong... I think Celestine just cut his feet on the busted glass. I'll take care of him, don't worry. Nobu has him right now, I'm sure he's fine for now."

Kyran hesitated for a very brief moment once he got to the door. Why of all the things to stand on did it have to be something uneven under your feet? He sighed quietly and continued out the door onto the sand. He groaned quietly when he felt his feet sink a little in the sand with each step. It wasn't like walking on the sand with the extra weight was completely impossible, it was just harder than walking on a solid surface. He really hoped that they weren't going to have to be here too much longer. Once he was outside and a few steps away from the tower, well out of everyone elses way he glanced around a little. He was glad to see that Celestine wasn't on his feet. He quirked a brow slightly when he glanced over at Hikari and saw her with Aamori. He wondered if Aamori had the relic yet. If she did than they didn't have anything really keeping them from leaving. He finally looked back to see where LaRae was. He wasn't the least bit surprised to see that she was still practically on his heels and keeping her eyes glued to Nanashi. He was pretty sure that if she had the strength to carry Nanashi she would, no questions asked.
Nobu had focused a great deal on Esen while she was trying to clean him up. He startled slightly, no where near as bad as Esen, when he had heard Kanone yelling. All he managed to do was look up at him for a moment before he turned his head away so that he could look over at Esen. Considering how shy Esen had been he guessed he wasn't all that surprised to see this type of reaction out of her thanks to a raised voice.
Nero guessed that he probably could have added to the end of that statement that Aamori was alive, but he didn't really think about those types of details right away. Either that or they were usually too obvious to even mention. He sighed quietly hearing Kanone say that Aamori was alive, luckily. "...Yeah. She'd probably have kicked the bucket if the broken-ribbed idiot hadn't gotten her out of the water and attempted CPR." He shook his head a little. He mostly referred to Kanone as an idiot because it wasn't the smartest thing in the world to go drag Aamori's lifeless body from the water and then do however many compressions he did, all the while with a broken rib. He could easily have done more damage to his own body. Then to top it all off Kanone had to come over here and yell at his cousin over the state of his feet. He sighed quietly and turned away slightly. At least what he had said to Kanone got him to back off a considerable amount.
Aamori stared over at Hikari while she waited for an answer from her. She nodded weakly when she said not to worry about it. Aside from the fact that Kanone had been yelling, not worrying about it would be simple. She turned her head and glanced over in Celestine's direction for a moment when Hikari said that she thought he had cut his feet on the busted glass. She was relieved that Hikari said she'd take care of him. He kind of needed his feet so the sooner they were taken care of the better. She sighed quietly and shifted her glance again so that her eyes were in front of her. She held her breath for a brief moment while she pushed herself up the rest of the way. As soon as she was sitting up straight she took her free hand and pressed it to her chest tightly just before she slumped over forward. She slowly exhaled that held breath once she started to slump over. She was already coming to the conclusion that she was about ready to be able to lay down and just go to sleep. Today had been a long day, a lot longer than she expected it to be. She slowly lowered her hand from her chest when the pain subsided again and glanced over at Hikari. "...We can ...leave soon, ...right?" She asked in a mumble.

Nanashi raised his head a tiny bit when he heard Kyran groan and glanced over to him slowly. "...Are...you alright...?" he asked quietly. He really wished that he could walk, or that Kyran would set him down or something. Hell, he wouldn't even really mind being left here until he could get himself back. Honestly, had he been with anyone but these people that's probably about what would have happened. He still really hated depending on someone else for something, though at the same time it was really nice knowing that someone cared about him enough to bothered. Yet on the flip side of that, he cared about the others as well, so he really did feel horrible that Kyran was straining himself because he had to go and pass out on the stairs. Had been a little more aware of what was going on, he probably would have thought to ask her if she was alright as well, though he wasn't even really aware that she'd fallen. The last he knew she was perfectly fine short of having a numb arm.
Esen whined softly until Kanone had stopped yelling, but she didn't change positions. She looked up to Nobu when he looked back to her and then looked away, actually embarrassed about running to hide behind him just beside someone yelled. She turned her head again when she heard the others coming out and finally stood up straight before she tilted her head a little while whining up at Kyran. '...Everyone's in such bad shape...' she whined as she looked back to Nobu again, her eras laying back a little.
Celestine still didn't say a word, he just looked up to Kanone silently, though his expression expressed his feelings well enough. He was grateful to him for saving Aamori. He would have been heartbroken if Aamori had died, especially since there wouldn't have been anything that he could do. He raised one hand up to Kanone's chest gently and closed his eyes while he leaned his head against him lightly.
Kanone tilted his head a little at Celestine when he put his hand against his chest and gave him that look before he leaned his head back against him. "...Cel?" He sighed softly and then glanced back to Nero again, giving him a bit of a look for calling him an idiot. His rib was still aching from yelling at Celestine, but he really didn't care. He didn't really like being called an idiot for saving someone's life. Now, for yelling at Celestine...well he could live with being called 'idiot' for that, but not to helping Aamori. "What...? I was the only one that even saw the bubbles.... If you were so worried about my rib you could have hauled your happy ass down the beach and shoved me out of the way...you probably would have had a better idea of what you were doing anyway.... I panicked, what do you want from me...? I like Aamori, I didn't want to watch her drown.... I've had enough death in the last month to last me a while...okay....?" He sighed and looked away, "Give me a break... So I'm not always thinking about me. Sometimes that's a good thing.... Me being an idiot might just save your neck one day if you're ever in a situation like that." He looked at Celestine and half smiled, "I'm just picking up his slack...." That was twice now that Aamori's life had been saved by a wind dragon, and both from the same family. He patted Celestine's head gently and then sighed quietly, "On come on, Cel, say something...what's wrong with you...? You're usually smacking me in the head and calling me a dumbass right about now..."
"...............Something," he muttered quietly after a long pause. He just shook his head weakly. He didn't even really know what was wrong. He just wanted to go curl up somewhere, really. "...I just...want to go..." he answered him in a shaky voice. He finally raised his head a little and looked up at him again before he looked away, turning his head back toward the door when the others came out. His ears laid back again when he saw the last three and then he sighed sightly and closed his eyes again.
Hikari's attention was back on Aamori again since she'd decided that she wanted to start moving around again. She kept her hand at her back as she pushed herself up and then watched her sympathetically while she held her chest. She started to rub her back gently and then sighed when she saw the cuts. Well...her hair seemed to have shielded them from most of the sand, though some still managed to get some in them. "...Yes...we can go as soon as you're up to it..." she said quietly, "...And right after I look after the others. She looked up again and then nearly groaned when she saw Kyran exit the tower with Nanashi on his back. She should have known better than to leave Nanashi. In all honesty after as much blood as he'd lost she was surprised that he hadn't passed out yet...or maybe he had. Gods, she hoped he didn't fall down the stairs or something, though of course the worst assumption had to be the correct one. She gently wrapped her arms around Aamori for a moment, "...Just sit here and rest for a few minutes, alright? I'll be back." She stood up and started to back up until her foot caught on one of the blades and the stumbled over them, landing on her butt int he sand on the opposite side of them. "Ow..." she groaned as she moved her hand to her tail end. She stared at the blades for a long moment and then blinked and looked at Aamori for a moment. She shook her head after a second. She'd ask later... She pushed herself up unsteadily and then started to half limp back up to where the others were. Her leg was really starting to get sore, but she was still trying to ignore it. She couldn't very well do anything with it until later, anyway.

Kyran glanced back slightly towards Nanashi when he heard his question and tried to smile a little. "Yeah, I'm okay." He told him in as convincing a tone as he could muster. He was pretty good about hiding pain from his voice when he really tried so he doubted that Nanashi would be any wiser. He shifted slightly under the extra weight. He turned his attention back towards Hikari when she stood up and then tripped over something, he guessed. He continued to keep an eye on her while she got back to her feet and started to half limp back up in this direction. Her leg must have been really bothering her with as much as she'd been doing and descending those stairs couldn't have been very comfortable. He didn't bother opening his mouth until Hikari was close enough to hear him without him having to talk too loudly. "How are you feeling?" He asked first, concerned with her well being the most. "...And what about Aamori, is she alright?" He asked lastly.
Nobu looked at Esen after she had commented about everyone being in such bad shape. They could be worse. He shifted a little, lifting his paws slightly so that he could reposition them in the sand below him. '...The guardian managed to hit nearly everyone with his sharp scales while the room we were in had flooded.' He paused. '...I think it could be a lot worse, everything considered.' He told her quietly.
Nero turned his head back to look at Kanone when he started speaking. He sighed heavily and dropped his shoulders a little as he continued to listen to him go off on his little rant. Once he was done he shook his head lightly. "You're right about one thing. I do have a better idea of what to do when it comes to CPR, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put myself through more pain just because I know what to do." He paused, knowing well enough he sounded like an ass right now. "If I came over to help I would've done more harm to my own injury. My arm would have started bleeding more from the compressions and I'm unwilling to put myself through more pain when one person is more than capable of doing the job." He muttered. "Hikari is as well versed in CPR as I am and she could easily have done that all by herself but instead you had to be a 'hero' and put yourself at more risk just because you like her. And God forbid we have had anything else important to do tonight... you'd pretty much be useless in battle and all because you aren't looking after yourself." He sighed heavily. "Seriously... you yelled at Celestine for not being careful and looking after himself and here you are doing practically the same thing that got him yelled at." He didn't care how he came off. As far as he was concerned he preferred people to think of him as a jerk rather than noticing that he was only concerned. He felt terrible for accidentally hitting Kanone and breaking his rib. It'd only make him feel worse for it if something worse happened all because of that stupid rib.
Aamori gave a slight nod of her head when Hikari answered her. She wanted to head out now, but that was going to be difficult considering how much trouble she'd had just sitting upright. She gave another nod after hearing that Hikari needed to look after the others before they could leave. She lifted her eyes and watched as Hikari started to get up. "..I'll be here.." She mumbled quietly in response to her. She didn't think she was going to go getting up right away so she was going to just sit here like Hikari said. She startled a little when Hikari tripped backwards over the blades that she'd pulled out of the water. Her breath had caught in her chest which resorted in her lifting her free hand to her chest to press against it while she coughed a little. She quieted her coughing just as Hikari had left and headed back towards the others. She turned her head and watched as she walked away. She sighed very quietly and then lowered her eyes. After a moment she glanced back over at the blades. Now that she was out of the water she could get a better look at them, if she could reach them. She was a little curious how they wound up buried like they were and why there of all places.

Nanashi stared at Kyran for a moment and then sighed softly and laid his head back down against his shoulder. His ears fell back a little at the sound of Nero and Kanone's voices. The noise alone was enough to hurt his head. He knew Kyran was just trying to pass it off as nothing that he was carrying him. Even dazed he wasn't quite stupid. "...Sorry...." he whispered quietly again.
Hikari sighed heavily, catching the tail end of what Nero was saying as she approached. She gave him a dirty look after hearing what he was saying and then huffed as she looked back to Kyran. "I'm fine. Aamori will be alright...She's really tired and sore right now, but I'm pretty sure she will be fine after some rest." She sighed softly, sounding tired already. It really had been a long day for everyone. She moved closer to Kyran and looked at Nanashi before she glanced back to LaRae again. "...So what happened here?" she asked as she looked at Nanashi's arm, noticing a small shard of glass sticking out of his arm. She placed her hand gently on his arm and then blinked, pulling her hand back in surprise. "Geez, you're freezing..." she muttered quietly. Well, she guessed that wasn't too hard to believe. They had all been submerged in cold water for a bit and now the sun was setting and the wind out here really wasn't helping with any of that. She laid her hand back on his arm again and took a hold of the shard firmly before she pulled back on it to remove it. She felt Nanashi tense and then gently swept her hand over the bleeding area while the aura surrounded her hand and she healed up the cut. "Sorry about that..." she said quietly. She sighed as she looked him over a little more. Well, at least all of his cuts were minor, but he was still bleeding again. She was already picking out the cuts that looked the worst and starting to heal them up. Nanashi was worrying her with his pale he was right now, and she really didn't like that he was so weak that Kyran was carrying him. "...Wish my bandages weren't drenched..." she muttered quietly to herself.
Esen whined softly when Nobu told her what had happened in the tower. She shook her head a little and then nuzzled against him gently. Well, at least no one had died... though she really wished she could say everyone's moods were better. She looked at Nero while he went on at Kanone and then whimpered softly.
Kanone just stared at Nero in disbelief when he said that he had to be a 'hero' and then narrowed his eyes a little. Thankfully, he was a little used to Celestine running his mouth similarly to this, so he wasn't quite as upset as he might have been otherwise. He had a feeling Nero was worried considering that he kept harping in his rib, though maybe he just felt bad for breaking it in the first place. Still...he was being a grade A asshole right about now. "Yes, Nero, being a hero was exactly the first thing on my mind when someone I care about is laying there suffocating," he responded sarcastically, "Because we all know I was raised to only worry about myself and how what I'm doing is going to affect me. How stupid of me to forget someone else would probably do it for me." He rolled his eyes, "Just be glad you didn't have to lift a finger then. If you weren't too full of yourself to accept help then it's offered your arm wouldn't have been much of a problem now, would it? You can climb off your pedestal already, I don't think you'd be much help if anything else happened tonight either, so spare me the lecture. And I think there's a bit of a difference between not watching where you're putting your feet and what I did." He sighed, "Why don't you just worry about yourself? You seem to be good at that. I'm getting a headache."
Celestine just closed his eyes tightly while Nero and Kanone had their little back and forth. He pulled away from Kanone and just lowered his head a little while raising his hands to cover his ears, trying to block them out, though he could still hear them. He didn't want to listen to those two bicker and argue...he just wanted to go see how Aamori was and/or leave.

Kyran was a little relieved to hear Hikari say that she was fine. Then again, her leg didn't look like it was fine. She was going to need that looked at eventually. "That's good." He responded after hearing that both her and Aamori were alright, or well, going to be alright. He turned his head slightly once Hikari had turned her attention to Nanashi. He tried his best to see what she was doing but of course given the positioning that was a little difficult. "...Let me know if you're going to need me to put him down at all."
LaRae glanced over to Hikari once she had moved closer to Kyran. She stared at her for a moment when she asked what had happened, as if she couldn't remember. "...Oh ..um ...he just suddenly passed out while were heading down the stairs." She paused. "...He fell a good distance and didn't regain consciousness until just a few minutes ago." She answered quietly. She continued to stand where she was and kept and eye on Nanashi while Hikari had started to tend to some of his cuts.
Nobu couldn't help but lower his head, quite honestly in disbelief. He couldn't believe that Kanone and Nero of all people were going at it now. Well... at least they were well enough to be bickering like they were. Right about now he was thinking that both of them were idiots for arguing in such a place, especially when they had better things to be doing. Once Hikari was done checking on everyone he was pretty sure that they'd be able to leave.
Nero stared at Kanone for a few moments, keeping a straight face while he ran off at the mouth. He shrugged lightly while he let out a heavy sigh. "It's important to worry about your own well being before others. I thought it was common knowledge that you can't help anyone if you can't even help yourself." He commented. "As for my not accepting help when it was offered..." He sighed. "Energy doesn't grow on trees and healing magic isn't that simple to use, if I'm informed properly. It can be very taxing and someone here has a broken rib which is a little more important than a cut up, bloody arm and a leg with a tooth embedded in it. The more energy that Hikari has conserved the better. Every little thing that she has to heal is taking away from the energy she could be using to fix your rib. So pardon me for thinking I'd rather take care of my own injuries the old fashioned way so that Hikari had as much energy left as possible to be able to tend to the injuries that were more important than mine." He muttered quietly before he started to walk away. He was prepared to put some distance between him and Kanone, especially after saying a bit more than he had intended to.

Nanashi whined softly and shut his eyes again when Hikari tugged the glass from his arm. Well, that certainly didn't feel too good, but he tried not to complain. He glanced over to her when she started healing his cuts. He didn't really think they were that bad, and he really didn't want her to wear herself out on a bunch of little things. "...Hikari...I'm..okay..." he said quietly.
Hikari nodded slightly when Kyran told her to let him know if she needed him to set Nanshi down. "Well, I can't see his stomach like this, but...I don't think you need to put him down just yet..." It would only make it harder to pick him back up again. She glanced over to LaRae when she told her what had happened and then sighed, "I was afraid of that..." she said quietly. She looked back to Nanashi again and smiled slightly, "Just let me make sure, alright?" she said gently. She took his right arm and straightened it out carefully before she started to run her fingers along his arm. "Well...fine over here..." she said softly. She let him latch onto Kyran again and then reached for his left arm, placing her hand under his as she straightened it out a little, already noticing Nanashi cringe whens he moved it. "This one hurts?" she asked, though he didn't seem to want to give her a verbal answer. He just burrowed his head right back into Kyran's shoulder. "I"ll take that as a 'yes.'" She carefully took a hold of the top of his glove and peeled it down off of his arm to reveal his bare skin before she stuffed the glove down into her clean pocket or...well the only pocket she had left. "Let me see..." She placed looked over his arm and then noticed the slight raise in his skin. She gently ran her fingers along the bone until she came to the bump and could feel the break. She looked at Nanashi and laid her ears back a little since he was clinging to Kyran even more tightly and looked as if he might be prepared to use his shoulder to muffle a scream. She sighed and then raised her hand to his head, laving her palm against his hair and rubbing it gently. "Well, you're just all banged up, aren't you?" She pulled her hand back and then blinked whens he saw that her palm was covered in blood. She sighed heavily and then glanced at Kyran. "...I guess you may as well put him down... I'm going to use that stuff your uncle gave me, I don't want him bleeding anymore than he has." She glanced over to LaRae while giving Kyran a chance to do something with Nanashi. "...Mind if I look you over, too?" she asked as she placed her hand on her shoulder, "If I know you, you probably went with him, didn't you?"
Kanone sighed softly as he listened to Nero and then shook his head slightly. He knew that healing was taxing...that was partially why he'd declined the idea of being a healer. Well, that and he just sucked at the whole thing. Celestine was a halfway decent healer, though he still had a habit of pouring more energy into it than need be and really wearing himself out. He knew some kind of advanced healing spells and actually worried him sometimes when he tried to heal since some of those spells could actually be dangerous to the user if not monitored carefully. Still, he wasn't the one bleeding, well, not anymore. He wasn't hacking up a long or anything, it just hurt like the devil. He thought that an open would was a little worse than a rib but he didn't bother to argue. He felt a little bad for the insinuation that Nero didn't care. Clearly he did, even if he didn't seem to want to admit it. He watched him start to turn away and then took a couple of steps after him when he started to move. He just raised his hand and placed it firmly on Nero's shoulder, trying to pull him to a stop, though he didn't bother to try to make him look at him. "...Nero...I'm fine," he said quietly, his voice a lot more friendly than it had been a few seconds ago. "I think I'm a little further down on the waiting list anyway...but it's alright. It's not that bad...I mean I'm not coughing up a lung or anything, so I'll be fine." He smiled a little, "...But thanks for worrying." He lowered his hand again and sighed weakly, "You're about as bad as Celestine, you know that? He talks to people the same way. You two should get along well."

Kyran nodded his head when Hikari said that she didn't think he needed to put Nanashi down just yet. He wasn't really looking forward to having to put him down and then pick him back up again. It was a little easier to do on the stairs as compared to out here. He sighed quietly and continued to stand there while Hikari looked Nanashi over. He wasn't entirely paying attention to what Hikari was doing. He was trying to keep an ear out for anything that she'd need him to do and ignore the aching that he was feeling. His attention was snagged fairly easy when Nanashi burrowed his head into his shoulder and eventually tightened his grip. That was enough to tell him that something Hikari had found was causing him a considerable amount of pain. His ears perked slightly when he heard Hikari say that he may as well put Nanashi down. He nodded his head lightly. "..Alright." He took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly before he took a couple steps forward and then started to kneel down. He started to grit his teeth together the lower he got to the sand. The process started to hurt his back a bit since he had to lean forward a little as he knelt down. Once he had dropped down to one knee he slowly started to release Nanashi's legs one at a time. Nanashi shouldn't have been too far from the ground after his legs were released so he shouldn't drop very much at all, he just had to let go first.
LaRae watched quietly from where she was standing while Hikari was looking Nanashi over. She couldn't help but pay a little more attention to what Hikari was doing when she made it over to Nanashi's left arm. She was of course concerned after Hikari had removed his glove. She continued to watch rather intently, quickly gathering that Nanashi must have broken a bone or something. She had no other explanation for the reaction that came from Nanashi when Hikari felt his arm. She sighed heavily after Hikari had found the blood on Nanashi's head. It wasn't exactly easy to see considering the color of Nanashi's hair, especially when wet so the bleeding had gone unnoticed by her and Kyran too apparently. She shook her head a little. Nanashi really was banged up and this time it was because he collapsed on some stairs. She stared at Hikari with a half blank expression for a moment once she had turned her attention on her. Why me? She didn't answer Hikari's first question. She didn't really want to be looked over and didn't want to voice that to Hikari. She was more than aware that would only lead to more arguing over checking her for injuries. She sighed quietly and nodded her head weakly in response to the second question. "...I didn't fall as far as he did." She started. "...A couple steps at best. I'm alright. I think I'll have a couple bruises and be sore in the morning but I'm okay." She said with a nod and as convincing of a smile as she could muster.
Nero stopped easily enough when he felt the hand on his shoulder. He slowly turned his head to look down at the hand and then sighed heavily. So much for putting some distance between them. He stood there and stared ahead of him while Kanone spoke and then finally shook his head. "I've had two broken ribs before that Hikari's had to heal... I know what the pain is like and the internal damage can easily go unnoticed." He started quietly, low enough that he kind of hoped only Kanone would hear him. "I hit you pretty hard Kanone, with everything I had. I didn't mean to, of course..." He paused. "...Anyway... you saw the stone that I cracked, from one punch. I seriously doubt you came away from that with only a broken rib and if you did... you're lucky, very lucky." He said and then sighed quietly.

Nanashi continued to cling to Kyran with his good arm while he was moving, though he let out a slightly startled gasp and held on more tightly when he started to lean forward as if he was afraid he was going to go flying over his head or something. Once he'd knelt down and released hi legs, Nanashi still didn't seem to want to let go of him before after a moment he finally moved his arm and felt the inch or so to the sand on his butt. He sucked in a breath that sounded like it might have been followed by a yell when he landed, but he clamped his mouth shut and closed his eyes. The slight jar had hurt both his head and his arm when he landed. He finally opened his eyes slightly, furrowing his eyebrows as he tried to ignore the throbbing pain. Sitting up on his own was difficult, especially with the way his head was still swimming. It wasn't so bad when he was on Kyran's back and able to rest his head against him, but now he really just wanted to fall over, and almost did had he not thrown his good arm down. He groaned softly and pulled is legs a little closer to his body so he could lean forward and rest his head on something again. He really just wanted to lay down right here in the sand...it really was tempting. Finally he just burrowed his head into his own bony knees while he curled his right hand into a fist, earning him a hand full of sand. "...Th...thank...y-you...." he mumbled quietly between gasps. He still felt short of breath from the lack of blood to deliver oxygen to all the right places, and doubling over on himself like that surely wasn't helping him breathe, but it was either that or lay his bleeding head in the sand.
Hiakri sighed softly when LaRae wouldn't directly give her permission to look her over. Well, she didn't tell her 'no.' She nodded slightly in understanding when she told her that she didn't fall as far as Nanashi did. "Alright...but I still want to look at your arm again. You said you couldn't feel it earlier, I doubt you've regained feeling in it completely, you may have hurt it and not realize it; that's all I'm really worried about." She reached for LaRae's arm and took a hold of it at the elbow. "I just want to make sure you didn't hurt it again...After earlier, I think you can understand if I don't believe a word of it when you say you're okay." Her tone wasn't sharp or angry, just matter-of-fact and kind of tired. "I just want to get everything I can taken care of now, while I can use that Taro gave me because once I get to Kanone, I'm done...for a few days probably." She raised her other hand to start to check for a break. She was really trying to just do this quickly and carefully and try not to leave LaRae too much room to argue with her. She was really getting too tired to put up with much more.
Kanone listened silently to Nero and smiled weakly when he told him that he didn't mean to hit him. "...I know you didn't," he said gently, "That's why I'm not upset with you." He lowered his eyes a little and then raised his hand again and placed it back on Nero's shoulder, giving him a gentle pat, "Yeah, buddy, I know how hard you hit me; I was the one that got hit," he said with a slight laugh and a sharp stab of pain cut short. He gritted his teeth and then sighed softly. Kanone was just one of those people that you could almost get furious at. Just when you thought he should be mad, he'd laugh it off, though he'd apparently already reached his breaking point once today. "I'm not going to say it doesn't hurt like a mother...I'm a terrible liar," the strain in his voice was honestly enough to show that he was hurting quite a lot, though he was dealing with it a lot better than he usually did...maybe a little too well. The fact that there were others hurt worse than he was made him feel the need to just pretend there was really nothing wrong with him for now, at least until everyone else was taken care of. In all honestly, being up and moving around as much as he was probably wasn't the brightest of ideas, but that was another thing that he didn't really think too much about. It was easier to ignore when he was up doing something and all he wanted to do when he was sitting was curl up in a ball and cry–yes it hurt that much. He turned his head away and coughed softly, cringing as he did so. He waited a second for the pain to pass and then looked back to Nero again, "...Look...when and if I start hacking up blood or something," he broke off with another mild cough, "then I'll worry..." he choked out to finish his sentence before he cleared his throat. "Uhg... Think I'm still choking on sea water," he muttered as he wrapped his arm back around his middle again. "...Anyway...don't worry. I'll be fine."
Celestine looked up to Kanone when he started coughing and lowered his hands away from his ears slowly, almost having forgot the he'd put them there. "...Kanone...go sit down..." he said quietly. "...Please...?" he added, just to give it a little more emphasis.

Kyran continued to stay kneeling in the sand while he waited for Nanashi to let him go. Ordinarily he probably would've gotten to his feet quickly and moved out of the way but he was finding even lifting his knee right now was harder than he'd expected. He was at least a little thankful for a break from the extra weight but he'd never utter a word of that to Nanashi. If he ever did that he'd never get Nanashi to keep quiet long enough to carry him. After a few moments he finally placed his hands on his knee and pushed himself back onto his feet, again gritting his teeth through the process. He wasn't about to start complaining about being sore, or at least he hoped he was only sore. He tried to stand up as straight as possible and failed miserably. He was stuck with an obvious slouch which subdued some of the ache. He finally turned around a little to look down at Nanashi. He was a little surprised to hear him actually say 'thank you' rather than apologize again. "...Don't mention it." He said quietly. Right about now he was really wishing that he had taken the time to learn a thing or two from his uncle. He didn't care to see Nanashi in so much pain and there wasn't anything he could do to help and Hikari was taking a moment to look over LaRae. He just hoped this wasn't going to turn into another argument like it usually did.
LaRae glanced away briefly when she heard Hikari say that she wanted to look at her arm again. Of course when she fell she had to hurt the same arm and since she couldn't even lift her arm on her own it was likely going to obvious that something was wrong with it. She wasn't even sure that she could ball her hand into a fist right now. She was at least thankful that she didn't feel too much pain from it. Sure it hurt but not nearly as bad as it could. She reluctantly nodded her head a little when Hikari said that she just wanted to get everything she could taken care of before she got to Kanone. She understood well enough but she still didn't want to have Hikari healing anything on her. Her eyes shot over to her arm as soon as Hikari took hold of it at the elbow. She knew she wouldn't be able to hide it. She was almost certain her arm was broken and there was no way to make Hikari believe the contrary. The break wasn't easily visible which was why she was able to fib to Kyran but Hikari would surely feel it. She winced as soon as Hikari touched where the break was and immediately turned her head away to act like it was nothing at all.
Nero listened quietly to Kanone and then shook his head at the last of his statements. When and if? It was almost inevitable in his eyes. He was sure it would happen. With how hard he had hit him he'd find it hard to believe that there was nothing more than a broken rib. He hoped that was all it was but it would be stupid to actually believe that. He didn't like the fact that Kanone was coughing like he was. It'd been a bit of time since he'd coughed last, of course that made him uncomfortable. He sighed softly and nodded his head a little when he caught what Celestine had asked Kanone to do. "You should sit down." He agreed. "Aamori and Celestine seem to be fine at the moment, minus someone's bleeding feet... so you've got no reason not to sit down." He told him as he turned slightly so that he could see the others. If Kanone wasn't going to sit down on his own he really didn't too much of a problem making sure Kanone sat down. After all it wasn't going to hurt anything for Kanone to try and rest for a few minutes while Hikari finished looking at everyone.

Nanashi kept his eyes closed tightly and his head burrowed into his knees without even raising it to look at Kyran when he answered him. After a moment he finally lifted his other hand front eh sand and dropped the wad of wet sand in his hand so he could wrap his other arm around himself while he curled up in an even tighter little ball. He didn't move his left arm at all, it still lay right where it fell when he was sat down. It hurt to much to move it, but shortly he did reach over to hold it. It didn't really make it feel much better, but it hurt either way and for whatever reason he like most people seemed to like to hold his injuries if they hurt bad enough. He didn't even bother to make another sound, short of his rather loud breathing though his teeth. He was doing a poor job of pretending he wasn't hurting, but he hurt in a few too many places to just ignore it entirely, but he was at least trying not to verbally complain about it as he clenched his teeth together. He was still really hating the fact that he was being a burden to someone else who, in his opinion, wasn't much better off than he was.
Hikari sighed softly when she found the break, aware of it mostly thanks to LaRae's reaction, though she did feel something move when she touched her arm in that location. She sighed and then started to carefully remove LaRae's wrist cuff...band, whatever it was. "This is going to have to come off..." She hadn't wanted to bother removing it before, but since she did indeed find and injury, she went ahead and started to take it off. It would have needed to come off one way of the other anyway since it would have interfered with LaRae's circulation once her arm started to swell. "How in the world you two managed to break the same arm in one day I'm never going to figure out..." she muttered softly as she finally got the wristband off her arm. "Here, hold this. I'm not arguing with you this time, just hold still and don't fuss with me while I do this now, okay? The faster I get this done the faster I can get back to Nanashi." She knew better than to leave LaRae unattended after discovering she was hurt; she had a feeling the girl would run for the hills if she didn't do this now. Normally, she would take care of Nanashi first, but since it had been taking Kyran a little bit to get down and up, she wanted to hurry and get this over with. She held the wristband out to LaRae and then opened her pack again reaching in to get the other container that Taro had given her, the one that made the cast. She opened it with a bit of a struggle since she's apparently put the lid on a little too well last time she'd used it, and then sighed when it finally came open, huffing a little from the effort. She dipped a generous amount of the gel out on her fingers and then reached to snag LaRae's arm again and started to run it all the way around her arm where she'd broken it, moving her fingers quickly, but only really feather-touching LaRae's arm so that she didn't add unnecessary pressure to the area. Once she'd gotten it spread on she held her hand over it and focused on the area before the white-ish aura appeared around her hand. It didn't last long, as she had no intention of pouring a whole lot of energy in this right now. She knew the stuff would do the work itself as it hardened. "There...now just don't mess with it... I know it's going to hurt, but leave it alone." LaRae had already been through this once with her wings, so she was sure that she knew the drill, but she though it best to remind her anyway. Once she was finished with that she finally turned her attention back to Nanashi again, quickly kneeling down beside him.
Kanone glanced back to Celestine when he asked him to sit down and then blinked. "What's with that expression?" he asked, trying to suppress another cough. He was beginning to think that last laugh was a bad idea, he seemed to be coughing a lot since he'd done that, and that really had hurt a lot when he did it in the first place. He looked back to Nero again and then shook his head, clearing his throat again before he spoke, "If I sit down I don't think...I'm going to want to get...back up...." It really hurt when he bent over so sitting and standing was kind of a pain in the ass. He didn't see much of a point in sitting when he'd have to get up in a few minutes again anyway to fly back over the damn ocean again. He glanced back across the water again and let out a tiny, almost nonexistent sigh that sent him into another tiny bout of coughs. Oh, gods, he was not looking forward to that. Breathing deeply was already getting hard to do without coughing a little to clear his throat out, he didn't want to imagine when he was actually really tired. He was really starting to think that hoping he hadn't hurt anything internally was wistful thinking; now he just wondered if this damage was already done of he'd done it while he was standing here laughing at his own stupid comment. That was something he'd probably never know. He hadn't actually coughed anything up yet, but that was mostly because he hadn't really started coughing deeply, he was trying to keep a lid on it. He knew it was going to hurt like hell fire if he did that.
Celestine's ears fell back a little more and he stared up at Kanone with those worried green eyes that still looked as if they were threatening tears. "...Kanone, are you alright?" he asked, sounding worried already. "...I really think you should sit down.... I don't like that cough...."
Kanone just gave him a little halfhearted thumbs-up when Celestine asked if he was alright and then groaned quietly when he told him to sit again. "You're...not gonna let me...writhe in peace, are ya?" he whined quietly, still apparently trying to be funny, though his tone completely killed the joke. He still really didn't want to sit down, but something told him he would get no peace from Celestine at the least if he didn't. He just stretched his free arm over to him and patted his head gently, hoping that would make him hush about it.

LaRae immediately looked back at her arm when she felt Hikari starting to remove the black leather band that she wore. Unfortunately the leather band wasn't thick enough or big enough to protect her arm from a break. She lifted her eyes slightly and looked at Hikari once the band was removed. She automatically started to reach for it with her good hand when it was handed to her. She had every intention of fighting Hikari with healing her arm at least until she heard her say that the faster she got done with her arm the faster she could get back to Nanashi. She gave a heavy sigh after hearing that and didn't even bother to open her mouth to argue. She wanted Hikari to take care of Nanashi and she couldn't bring herself to fight Hikari if it meant that Nanashi had to sit there and suffer just because of her stubbornness. She cared too much for Nanashi to make him suffer because of her. She continued to stay quiet and turned her eyes away when Hikari started to mess with the stuff that Taro had given her. She figured ignoring what Hikari was doing might have to suffice for now. She barely felt a thing while Hikari was applying the stuff to her arm and she knew well enough that it wouldn't really start to hurt until the stuff had started to harden over. At least the last time she had it on that was how it worked. She sighed quietly and gave a weak nod of her head when Hikari told her to leave it alone. She slowly turned her eyes back to Hikari when she was finished and watched her for a moment while she headed back to Nanashi. She gave another quiet sigh and then glanced down to her arm, staring at the green gunk that was on it. That stuff still kind of amazed her and it was able to help heal broken bones of all things. The healing process might take a little longer than usual to heal. It would still be expedited but considering that Hikari had no intention of pouring a lot of energy into it, it wouldn't be as quick as it could have been.
Nero shook his head at Kanone's response to sitting down. That didn't really surprise him. After all when his ribs had been broken he didn't exactly want to get up again after he finally got the chance to sit down. He sighed quietly after listening to Kanone and Celestine. He stared over at Kanone for a moment. "If you're against sitting down then why don't you at least lean against the tower so you're not quite so upright." He paused and looked away. "...And don't you dare think a simple pat to the head could make me stop pestering you about it."
Nobu shifted a little uncomfortably. Again lifting his paws up one at a time to reposition them beneath himself. He was finally starting to become uncomfortable with standing in one place for so long while under the added weight. He of course would never tell Celestine to get off of him and he'd endure the discomfort for as long as possible. He really hoped that someone could do something about Celestine's feet here soon.

Hikari was at least glad that LaRae didn't fight her, though she had thrown out that little tidbit on getting to Nanashi faster on purpose. She knew that LaRae cared for him and wouldn't want to make him wait, so she had a feeling that was one sure way to get her to cooperate with her. Now that she was able to turn her attention back to Nanashi, she immediately took to his arm, carefully dishing out another pit of the green gunk on her fingers. "Nanashi, I need your arm," she told him gently as she brushed his other hand away from the injury. She found the break again and then carefully spread the gel around his arm where the break was. Like she did with LaRae, she held her hand above his arm for just a few seconds while the aura surrounded her hand to get the stuff to activate. She could faintly hear Nanashi whining into his knees while she messed with his arm. Obviously he felt it a lot more than LaRae had. "I'm sorry..." she said quietly while she moved her hand to his head again, this time feeling for a knot, though she found about two or three of them. It took her a moment to find where he had actually busted his head open where it was bleeding so she could heal the injury. She then moved her hand away from his head and took a hold of the back of his shirt, or what was left of his shirt anyway, and moved it aide to check his back. She sighed softly when she saw the are where the glass had been lodged into his back and then moved her hand over it to heal it. She wasn't worried about the smaller cuts, most of them had already stopped bleeding,s he was just trying to get the worse ones. After she'd healed that cut she started to run her hands over his wings gently, checking them for breaks as well. "Open," she said gently as she touched one wing and waited for him to unfold it a little so she could check all of the little ribs. "Okay...how about the other one?" She waited for him to open it a little and then did the same things again. "Okay...looks like your wings are fine." She was already pretty sure his legs were alright, he didn't seem to be complaining with them at least. "Can you sit up so I can check your stomach?"
Nanashi wasn't thrilled at all about letting Hikari have his arm, though he didn't complain. It hurt when she poked around the area and he couldn't help but whine a little from the pain. No matter how tightly he clenched his jaws it didn't seem to be helping him all that much. He whimpered again and curled in on himself a little more when she started feeling his head and then relaxed a little after she healed the broken skin. That did nothing really for the knots or the headache, but it still felt a little better. He slowly loosened his left wing when she asked him to and let her feel it before he folded it back against his back again and then opened the other when she asked. He nearly groaned as he folded his wing back into place again. His wings were as sore as everything else on him, but it was sitting up that made him want to groan. Slowly, he started to raise his head and glanced over to Hikari with his eyes only half open. He was starting to look about the same way that he had before he collapsed on the stairs the first time. He groaned softly as he slid his legs down and then swayed slightly before he had to throw his good arm down to hold himself up, though seconds later he just started falling over to the left. He gasped, thinking he was about to hit the ground before he felt an arm around his back and his head came to rest against something soft. He just shut his eyes tightly again and continued trying to breathe normally. At least breathing was a little easier now that he wasn't doubled over but it was still hard to actually catch his breath.
Hikari blinked when Nanashi started to fall over after sitting up and quickly threw her arm out and pulled him to rest against her. She could tell that he was on the verge of losing consciousness again from the dazed look in his eyes, though his movements were pretty sluggish as well. He must have been pretty dizzy to not even be able to sit up straight either. She sighed as she looked down at his stomach and saw a few bleeding cuts there as well. She moved her free hand over them and then started to heal them up, at least to the point that they weren't bleeding anymore and then looked back down to Nanashi again since she seemed to be the only thing holding him up now. The gel was already starting to harden and form the cast by now, and Nanashi was obviously feeling it. She just laid her ears back a little while she watching him trying not to scream. He would open his mouth for a few seconds in a grimace and then bite his lower lip and just whimper. "Don't mess with it..." she said gently when he started to reach for his other arm. She placed her hand on his to stop him and then sighed softly and glanced up. She knew she still needed to get Celestine's feet so he could get off of Nobu, and then they needed to go or...she needed to check on Kanone or...she honestly didn't know what she needed to do next. Right now she seemed a little pinned.
Celestine's ears fell back when Kanone patted him on the head. He knew he always did something like that when he was ready to drop it or didn't want to argue, so he assumed that meant he wasn't going to do what he asked. "Kanone..." he muttered quietly. He sighed and then glanced down to Nobu when he felt him shifting positions. He didn't even have to ask to know that he was starting to be bothered by the weight. "Let me down, " he said quietly as he stroked his neck gently. "It's okay."
Kanone looked back to Nero again and then sighed weakly and shook his head. Finally he gave in and started to move from where he was standing. "Alright...alright..." he muttered as he started to walk back toward the tower, though he couldn't resist raising his hand to pat Nero on the head lightly between his horns, "You win." He pulled his hand back to cover another mild cough and then cringed and stopped moving for a moment before he slowly started to step closer to the tower again. Once he got back to it he just leaned his head back against the stone and then closed his eyes as he leaned back against the wall.

LaRae continued to stand where she was, keeping an eye on the green gunk that was around her arm. She was watching it as it started to harden. She shifted a bit uncomfortably and clenched her teeth together once she started to recall the painful feeling from under the green stuff. She was almost certain that it could be hurting a lot more than it was and she was glad that she was managing to keep herself relatively quiet through the pain, minus a few quiet whines accompanied by discomforted facial expressions.
Kyran turned his attention to Hikari and Nanashi once Hikari had started to work on his arm. He stood there and watched quietly while Hikari did her work. He didn't know what it felt like to have that cast put on but he knew from watching his uncle do it a couple times that it did hurt a good deal. He kind of wished that there was a less painful way to fix broken bones quickly. He continued to watch Hikari while she checked Nanashi over. Those stairs really did a number on him, but it could have been worse. After Nanashi had started to fall over he immediately started to lift his foot to move closer but paused briefly once Hikari a hold of him. He sighed quietly and glanced around a little himself to see who all was left that needed urgent care. He knew that Kanone was going to need to be looked at but could be held off for now. Then there was Celestine's feet, those kind of needed to be looked at if Celestine was going to be walking on them. Of course there was also Nero but he didn't seem to be in too much pain at the moment. Or well, he wasn't showing any real signs of hurting. Knowing that Celestine at the very least needed to be looked at he started to move over to Nanashi's side, opposite of Hikari. He carefully started to kneel down. He was at least starting to be aware of what the pain felt like when he knelt down or moved a certain way so he knew what to expect before he even moved. He clenched his teeth together tightly on the way down and took a deep breath once he was knelt in the sand. He then started to put his arm out so that he could take Nanashi from her. "I can keep an eye on him while you check on the others." He told her and waited to see if she'd pass him off to her since it was pretty clear that Nanashi couldn't keep himself sitting up without any help.
Nero felt a little better when it seemed that Kanone was finally going to give in and do what was asked. He sighed softly when Kanone started to walk back towards the the tower. He caught sight of Kanone's hand when he started to reach up to pat his head. He just stared at Kanone's hand while it moved and as soon as his hand had made contact between his horns his eyes shot over to glare at Kanone. Had Kanone not been in such a pathetic condition right now with the broken rib and the coughing then he surely would have lost that hand. He gave a heavy sigh and let it go for now. Kanone was bound to do something like that again, knowing him, and he'd just hope the next time it happened he wasn't already hurt. He glanced over at Kanone after he finally got over to the tower and had leaned back against it. He smirked lightly. "Good boy." He said mockingly.
Nobu rather quickly wished that he hadn't shifted like he had. He hadn't wanted Celestine to pick up on the fact that this was starting to get uncomfortable. He shook his head lightly from side to side for a moment. He didn't want to let Celestine down yet, not until he could walk on his own feet, safely. '...You can get down once something has been done about your feet.' He told him. He'd fight Celestine if he had to just to keep him from getting off himself.

Hikari glanced up to Kyran when he started to come over to Nanashi's other side and kneel down. She laid her ears back a little while he knelt, knowing that must not feel too good. "Thanks..." she said quietly as she leaned forward a little and shrugged Nanashi off onto Kyran's arm, slowly lowering her own. She held her hand behind Nanashi's head for a moment and then placed it so that he could lean against Kyran since his head seemed to want to fall backwards when it wasn't resting against something. Once she was free of Nanashi she pushed herself up again, wincing as she had to move her leg. She almost felt like a crippled old woman with hip problems right now. She sighed as she straightened herself up and then made her way over to Celestine already knowing she was going to have to kneel right back down again.
Nanashi whined quietly when Hikari started to move him again and then closed his eyes a little more tightly. It was getting harder not to want to scream bloody murder at the pain in his arm on top of everything else, but he just kept his teeth clamped on his lower lip and tried to keep the whimpering to a minimal. He really wished he was alone right now, he hated showing that he was in pain in front of anyone, and there was no hiding it right now. He tried once to sit himself up, but his head felt heavy and everything else felt like trying to lift lead, and he didn't really have enough energy to even want to try to move. He cracked his eyes open a little once he was settled against Kyran and looked up to him almost apologetically, though he didn't say a word. Water was already gathering in his eyes from the pain and threatening to slide down his face so he just shut his eyes again, though that motion only forced the water out of his eyes. He wanted to turn his head and hide his face in Kyran's chest or something but even that was too much effort. At least he was trying not to make much of a fuss, though from the look of it he probably wouldn't be awake too much longer anyway.
Kanone just smiled weakly at Nero even after he'd glared at him. He was clearly only doing that since he'd mentioned it not working, just to be playful. He opened his eyes again when he heard the 'good boy' from Nero and then half smiled before he stuck his tongue out at him. "Yeah, yeah..." He swallowed and then leaned his head back against the wall again, closing his eyes again. He could feel something gathering in the back of his throat like mucus, almost making breathing difficult. He cleared his throat toughly and then leaned his head forward and clamped his hand over his mouth as if he thought he was going to be sick as he swallowed again. Well...that tasted nasty... he thought as he sighed and lowered his hand back to his side. Well, now that he'd gotten his throat cleared out he hoped he'd be alright for a little while.
Celestine sighed softly and then shook his head. He stroked Nobu's fur again and then started to move leg so he could get off. He didn't want to hurt Nobu and a little sand wasn't going to kill him, it could be washed out easily enough. 'Hikari has more important things to worry about than my feet.' he thought back to him, though before he got anywhere he blinked when he saw Hikari beside him.
Hikari smiled weakly at Celestine as she knelt down. "Hold your horses, Celestine...patience is a virtue," she said quietly since he looked like he was about to climb off of Nobu. She reached down to his foot and pulled it up a little so that she could see the damage. "Well...it's not as bad as it looks...just a lot of blood." She smiled slightly when Celestine latched onto Nobu's neck for dear lift since her moving his foot apparently knocked him off balance. She sighed and finally just held her hand over his foot and closed her eyes while she healed the cuts down to almost nothing. By the time she was done they were scabbed over and had shrunk considerably. "There...One down...." she thought about asking Nobu if he'd turn around the other way, but she'd feel kind of silly talking to a dog like that. She just stood up again, cringing a little in the process, and then knelt on his other side and took his other foot, repeating the same process. "There... it may still be a little sore, but the sand shouldn't bother it now," she told him as she stood up again.
Celestine was a little surprised when he grabbed his foot and felt himself going off balance so he latched onto Nobu's neck again similarly to the way he had when he first got on. He didn't complain while Hikari healed his feet and just watched her work silently. "Thank you," he said almost mechanically the instant that she'd stood up after finishing. As soon as he was free he slid to the side until one foot was on the ground, apparently eager to get off of Nobu's back. The sand still stuck to his feet, but it didn't really bother him that much. He blinked when he tried to pull his other leg from around Nobu's back and then gasped quietly, finding himself hopping backwards on the one foot until his wings finally pulled his down. He hit the sand flat on his back with an 'oof' and then opened his eyes with a sick, finding his head almost between Nero's feet. "...Sorry." So much for his graceful, dance-like movements. He pushed himself up to a sitting position and then rolled onto his knees and stood up, groaning as she felt sand falling from his feathers. He cursed quietly in his native tongue and then shook out his wings a little, though he ended up flailing his arms to try to stay balanced in the process. This really was irritating. Finally he just shook his head and turned his attention back toward Aamori, wanting to see how she was doing now.

LaRae lifted her eyes from the cast that was almost completely hardened around her arm when she heard what Kyran had said. She watched for a moment while Hikari passed Nanashi off to Kyran. Her eyes followed Hikari briefly while she headed for Celestine. She was about to look back over at Nanashi but her eyes quickly fell on her arm after feeling a sharper pain than before. The pain dulled quickly enough for her and then she found herself wanting to scratch beneath the cast. The sudden wave of itchiness called her good hand right to the cast and within moments she'd nearly worked her finger under a small portion of it. The cast hadn't completed the healing process yet and because she dug her finger under the cast she managed to break a small portion of it that was right where her finger had gone. On top of that she managed to put a decent crack in the cast as well. She stared wide eyed at the crack in the cast as soon as she'd broken a chip of it free. Oh shit... She's going to kill me... She knew that wasn't supposed to happen. The cast was supposed to start out as a gel, harden almost like rock and then turn into a putty that could peel right off. She pulled the chip away from her arm and stared at it for a moment before chucking it onto the sand. She hoped that chip went far enough it'd go unnoticed with it's small size. She glanced back at the crack, glad that it was on the inside of her arm. It'd be easy enough to hide. The last thing she needed was an 'I told you so' from Hikari. She did know better than to go messing with the stuff but the itchiness was just so sudden and actually somewhere that she could reach this time. She couldn't help it, but that was a poor excuse.
Kyran nodded his head and gave Hikari his best smile when she said 'thanks'. He kept his arm extended until she passed Nanashi off to him. He waited until Hikari was finished positioning Nanashi before wrapped his arm around him slightly, rather than just having him rested on it. He watched as Hikari got up and then started to head towards Celestine. He sighed quietly since it was obvious that Hikari's leg was bothering her. He dropped his eyes down to Nanashi just in time to catch him with his eyes open a little. "...I know it hurts, Nanashi." He said softly. "It's painful enough to make even grown men cry like babies." He paused and sighed quietly. "Your arm will be better in no time, so just bare with it." He added lastly.
Nobu was already prepared to pin Celestine's legs in place with his tails should he try to get down. He was thankful that he didn't have to do such a thing since Hikari had come over already and kept Celestine from moving. He tried to keep as still as he could even while Celestine had latched onto him. He didn't want to take any chance of disturbing Hikari at all while she worked on Celestine's feet. Once Hikari had finished with the first foot he seriously thought about shifting so that she didn't have to move but she'd already started to move herself. He waited until she was done all together and was going to lower himself down so that Celestine could get off of him easier but again he was beat to it. He shook his head when Celestine ended up on his back in the sand. If he wasn't in such a hurry to get off than that probably wouldn't have happened. Once Celestine was off of his back he started to walk a little, moving from where he was so that he could stretch himself out.
Nero wasn't paying too much attention to anything in particular, at least not until Celestine fell back and wasn't that far from being between his feet. He stared down at him until he apologized and then gave a quiet sigh. He continued to stand where he was not bothering to move so much as an inch while Celestine started to get to his feet.
Aamori was still sitting where Hikari had left her. She hadn't moved very much at all. She'd still managed to keep herself upright, though she was slouched over and she now had both of her hands resting in her lap where the relic was sitting. She'd given up on wanting to get a closer look at the blades, for the time being at least since she couldn't move well enough to get over to them. She settled for sitting quietly and inspecting the relic, the one item she could easily have lost her life to retrieve for this increasingly troublesome trip they were on.

Nanashi cracked his eyes open again to look back up to Kyran again when he spoke to him, his eyes looking like nothing more than tiny ruby slits. Only half of what Kyran said really registered to him, he just knew that he was talking to him about pain and bearing with it. Well, it wasn't like he had much of a choice on whether he could bear with it or not. He tried to nod his head, but it barely moved for him. "...I...I'm.......o...okay...." he whispered again quietly, and almost breathlessly. "...I'm....s-sorry...I....should....h-have..............d-didn't...meant...to.....cause....trouble......." he muttered, almost incoherently. At least since he was leaning against someone his shivering seemed to have died down a little. It was warmer resting against someone like this, though his bare skin still felt like ice. On Kyran's back his wings hadn't really allowed him much access to any body heat. After a moment his eyelids slowly drooped over his eyes and seconds later his body relaxed as he lost consciousness again. His only movements was the quick but steady rise and fall of his chest and the occasional wave of cold shivers that ran through him.
Hikari watched as Celestine got down off of Nobu and fell over, almost chuckling. He was almost as clumsy as Aamori on land when he was drenched. She shook her head slightly and then sighed and glanced down to Nobu, rubbing his head before he made off. "Good boy..." she said quietly. She sighed and then glanced back to Nero again. "Sure you don't want me to check you over?" she offered one more time. She was already getting a little tired, even with using what Taro had given her to help out a bit, but she didn't mind checking over anything that needed it. She glanced back toward Nanashi and sighed when she say that he had passed out again. Well...that was probably better on him for now anyway.
Celestine sighed once he saw Aamori just sitting there and then glanced around again. He looked at Kanone and then back to Aamori as if trying to decide where he wanted to go. It didn't take him long to decide. He already knew how Kanone was, plus he was still clutching Aamori's staff tightly in his hand as he had been ever since Nobu picked him up, even while clinging to him. He glanced back to Nobu again and watched as he walked away. '...Thank you...Nobu...' he thought to him quietly, almost sheepishly. He moved over to stroke his head again and even leaned to give him a little cuddle. 'I'm going to check on Aamori now...' With that he turned and started to head down the beach, though with every step he seemed to be moving a little faster until he was almost jogging. He came to an abrupt stop beside her, already landing on his knees and staring over at her intently with those wide green eyes of his full of an almost childlike concern. "...Aamori..." He could tell that she still wasn't feeling well just by looking at her, so he didn't even bother to ask if she was alright. He laid her staff down on her lap and then wrapped both arms around her gently, but firmly, leaning into her a little as he simultaneously pulled her closer to him. "Idiot... You really are an idiot..." Even as he insulted her he was cuddling his head against hers gently. She really had scared him...or more, Nero really had scared him by not letting him know that she hadn't killed herself. Still, it unnerved him greatly to think that he could have walked outside and she would have been dead. "...Don't....don't ever do something like that again... I don't want to lose you, too...." he said quietly, not even really thinking about what he was saying, he was talking before he even thought, "IF you die I have to be here... I didn't even know anything had happened..." he whined, "You can't do that to me...ever! ....There wasn't even anything I could have done..." His voice was quiet, but higher pitched than normal. He seemed to have lost his collected nerve once he got over here with her. "....Idiot..."
Esen watched at Nobu moved away and Celestine started to pet him. She wagged her tails slightly when Celestine started to walk away and then she inched closer to Nobu again and licked the side of his face lightly before she nuzzled him with her head. 'Thank you...for helping him... Are you feeling better now?'

Kyran was quiet while Nanashi managed to get a few more things said just before passing out. He wasn't surprised at all that Nanashi was out again, he was however surprised that it'd taken this long for him to lose consciousness. He kind of hoped that Nanashi could stay this way until they at least made it back over the water and could get him to a bed. He didn't want to deal with Nanashi being awake when it came time to get over the water, or for the walk back to the training building. Even when Nanashi had no energy he still seemed to find a enough to say he could do it [whatever it was] himself. Well, at least he had said that a couple times.
Nero lifted his eyes and focused on Hikari when he heard her question. Obviously it had been directed at him since she'd already needed to look at Kanone. He nodded his head. "I already told you, I'll take care of it myself once we're back to that building." He paused. "You don't need to worry about me, okay ...I am fully capable of taking care of myself you know." He said quietly. He wasn't trying to come off sounding mean or anything but he couldn't really help the way he sounded sometimes. He might seriously have considered her aid had she not had so many to look after already and have Kanone's broken rib to deal with. He was at least glad he wasn't bleeding at the moment. His leg had stopped some time ago and it only really even bled a little when he moved the wrong way and that tooth moved. Then his arm had enough dried blood on it that it wasn't letting anything fresh out. That is until he moves his arm just the right way. For now though, he really wasn't that worried with his own wounds.
Nobu wagged his tails a little after Hikari had touched his head. Then again when Celestine stroked his head and leaned down to cuddle him a little. 'You're welcome.' He responded in short to Celestine. His head was still bothering him to some degree and all of the talking he'd been doing with Celestine about his feet hadn't been helping very much, but it really couldn't be helped. He managed to get some brief stretching in before Esen inched her way closer. He looked at her for a moment after she licked his face and then nodded his head slightly. '...A little better. My head still hurts a bit and the stiffness will go away soon enough.'
Aamori startled when Celestine fell to his knees beside her, though it was a rather delayed reaction. Her reaction timing was a little off, clearly. She lifted her eyes from the relic to look over at Celestine when she heard him say her name. She only looked at him for a moment before she felt her staff in her lap and her first reaction was to look down at that. She didn't get the chance to look at her lap again before she felt his arms around her. Her eyes widened slightly, especially upon realizing just how close they were. She stayed quiet while he spoke, even with being called an idiot more than once. She really couldn't argue that now that she'd sat here and thought about it as much as she had. She felt terrible all over again after listening to the things that Celestine was saying. "...I'm ...sorry." She mumbled quietly. She really hadn't meant to scare anyone as bad as she had and Celestine hadn't even seen anything that happened and yet he was this upset about it. She shifted enough so that she could slip her arms around his middle. After she had a hold of him herself it didn't take that long for her to start crying all over again. "...Really ..sorry.." She mumbled lastly through her tears.

Hikari nodded slightly in response to Nero. "Alright...do what you want," she said in the same tired voice. She wasn't upset that he refused her help. She had a little more confidence in his ability to take care of himself than she had in LaRae, and she knew that he wouldn't just completely ignore it. Nero was at least smart enough to know when he needed help. "Need to or not, so long as you're around me, you may as well get used to the worry. An injury is an injury, I don't care who it's on. But I'll let you deal with it for now. Let me know if you need any help with it later." She sighed as she turned to walk back over to Kyran and looked down at Nanashi. "Did he pass out again?" she asked quietly as she crouched down a little. She sighed and dropped her head onto Kyran's shoulder gently. "You guys are killing me... Why'd you all have to go and get hurt at once this time, huh?" she whined, though it sounded more playful than anything. She sighed again when she looked down to Nanashi again. "...Will you be able to fly with him? How's your back?"
Esen whined softly and nuzzled Nobu's head again gently before giving his cheek another lick. 'I really hope so...' she responded. She glanced back to the others again and then sighed softly before she glanced back down the breach at Celestine and Aamori. Her tails swayed slightly behind her and she glanced back to Nobu again. She hadn't known Celestine for long, but he didn't seem to be the clingy type usually...it was almost cute seeing him hugging Aamori like that.
Celestine closed his eyes when he heard Aamori apologize to him. His grip on her only tightened when she hugged him and started to cry. After a moment he opened his eyes while raising one hand to rest against the back of her head beneath her horns. "...You should be..." he said finally after she apologized again. "...I wouldn't forgive you if you let something happen that easily..." He nuzzled his head against hers gently and then let out a somewhat shaky sigh as he turned his head to her again. He pressed his lips against her cheek lightly, glad to be facing away from the others so they couldn't really see, though that really didn't even matter that much to him at the moment. He pulled his lips back a little and then pressed them back to her face again, closer to her eye this time before he pulled back. "Don't cry..." he whispered quietly, "...Please. Don't cry now... It's alright...."
Kanone glanced up from where he was standing and again had to cover his mouth to suppress a cough. He glanced over to Celestine and Aamori for a moment and then made a face. Oh sure, brat, go steal my thunder. ...Ah well... I probably would have made things worse, anyway. He smiled weakly as he started at them. 'Aww...those two are so cute...' He found himself coughing again soon and then cleared his throat. He looked over at the others and then lowered his eyes. "Guys, I hate to rush but... it's kind of getting late..." Really, he just wanted to get across the water while he still thought he could. The longer he stood there the harder it was getting not to cough.

Nero shrugged lightly after listening to Hikari. He doubted that he'd come to her if he really needed help after looking after his own injuries. If he did ever come to her for help it probably would only be after he actually have his wounds enough time to try and heal on their own and that was of course likely to take longer than having someone do the healing for you. He was almost certain that Hikari would probably come to him asking if he needed help before he'd bring himself to go to her.
Kyran glanced up to Hikari when she asked if Nanashi had passed out again and nodded his head. "Yeah... I suspected he would." He told her quietly as she crouched down. He looked back down to Nanashi for a moment and then sighed quietly at Hikari's following statement. "You went and got yourself hurt too, you know." He reminded her with a slight shrug of his shoulder as he looked over at her. He dropped his eyes back to Nanashi once she asked if he was going to be able to fly with him. "I'm pretty sure that I can." He told her honestly. "...Even if I thought it was going to be difficult or painful.. there isn't really much of a choice." He paused. "Well... unless we stayed here, but we really do need to head back and Kanone and Nero should be somewhere that they can be taken care of." He for the most part avoided answering the question about his back. He didn't want to go telling her that his back was still hurting like hell, especially since he had every intention of carrying Nanashi and flying him over the water. "...Sounds like Kanone's ready to go, too." He commented. "We kind of need to figure out how we're getting everyone across the water. I mean... the people and... canine who can't fly."
Nobu was positive that the stiffness he was feeling would go away soon enough. If not he was sure it'd be gone after he got some sleep. He finally took a moment to move away from Esen while she was looking over at Aamori and Celestine. Once he thought he was a safe distance from her he started to shake out his fur of any excess water that he could. He hadn't gotten the chance to do that before so he knew that his fur wasn't drying as fast as it could. Once he'd shaken his fur out as much as possible he instantly regretted it. After doing that his fur had already started to puff up. It wouldn't take that much longer for his fur to dry completely and once it did he'd look like a giant purple walking cotton ball.
Aamori's ears finally laid back about as far as they would go once she heard Celestine say 'You should be'. Had he not nuzzled his head against hers after the following statement she probably would have started crying even more than she already was. She felt bad enough about everything then she had to listen to Hikari and now Celestine too. None of this was helping her keep her composure. She was honestly surprised by most of the things that he had said thus far. One of the ones that surprised her the most was him saying that he didn't want to lose her, too. Hearing that really did mean a lot to her even now when he surely had been meaning to scold her. She was a bit surprised yet again when he pressed his lips to her cheek. Her eyes had widened a little and of course her cheeks had been flooded with color. The color to her cheeks only worsened when he kissed her face a second time. She stared at him for a moment, the tears had pretty much already come to a stop by the second kiss. She could feel that her cheeks were wet and she didn't want to let go of Celestine so that she could dry her cheeks. She kept her arms around him and then pressed her head against him, also in an attempt to hide her face since she knew it was probably red with blush.

Hikari gave him a little and then tolled her eyes a little as she raised her hand to flick him lightly on the tip of the ear. "I can't heal me, so that doesn't count," she responded, "besides, it's just a few scratches." Deep frickin' painful scratches... She glanced around and then sighed softly. "Well...if you're carrying Nanashi..." she glanced around a little, "...I guess I can carry Aamori..." She didn't see Nero carrying anyone with his arm like that and LaRae definitely couldn't, and she didn't really want Kanone trying to carry anyone at all...she didn't even really want him flying in the first place. "...So that leaves Celestine and Nobu..."
Kanone shook his head a little, "...Celestine can get himself across..." he said simply, "and probably Nobu, too, if he'll let him."
"How? His wings are drenched."
"Well...he could dry himself off...it's probably take an hour, but I'm sure he could manage it... Or he could just walk."
"Walk?"
"Yeeessss, Hikari...walk...kinda like what Aamori did with Nobu, only on air instead of on water."
"Well...I guess that about covers it then..." She glanced back to Kyran again and then placed her hand on his back between his wings and rubbed it gently. She noticed that he hadn't answered on as to whether or not his back was alright, so that just made her assume that it still hurt. She glanced up to LaRae and Nero again and then over to Kanone, "Are the rest of you alright to fly?"
Esen glanced back to Nobu when he moved away from her and started to shake out his fur. She backed up a tiny but just to be safe from the water. After seeing his fur, she was having a hard time not laughing. It was already fluffed up a good deal; she almost pitied him when it dried. Once he was finished she started to edge closer to him again and finally couldn't help a little mental giggle.
Celestine didn't bother to say another word after she'd stopped crying, he just stared right back at her with that same worried gaze. When she leaned her head against him he pulled her closer and stroked the back of her head gently before he laid his head down on top of hers. "Aamroi...I...I...." he started, though he didn't seem to know how to finish what he wanted to say. 'I love you...' he thought to himself, wanting to say it out loud. How would she even react to that? He wasn't too sure he even wanted to know. He turned his head a little to nestle his cheek into her hair, "...I'm...glad you're alright..." he said finally. That wasn't what he meant to say, but...well, it worked.

Kyran merely laughed a little quietly after Hikari flicked the tip of his ear. He looked over at her after she called her injury 'just a few scratches'. He shook his head with a sigh. Honestly, any one else with her injury would probably get the third degree from her if they said that it was 'just a few scratches'. He glanced back down at Nanashi briefly and then lifted his eyes at the mention of Aamori. Sometimes it slipped his mind that she didn't fly very well. At least at times like this when his mind wasn't really functioning as properly as it could. "Are you sure that you're going to be able to carry her?" He asked as he looked back to Hikari. He wasn't against making a couple trips if he had to. It wasn't going to hurt anything if they didn't all make it across at once. He shifted his attention a little once Hikari had brought up Celestine and Nobu. Of course he'd already thought about what to do with Nobu. Again, he thought worse case scenario he'd have to come back and get Nobu. No big deal. He was a little surprised to hear what Kanone had interjected about how Celestine could get himself across and possibly Nobu. He wasn't so sure that he saw Nobu walking on air. That was different from walking on the water with Aamori. At least then he could see what he was putting his foot down on.
Nero was trying not to pay attention really to the conversation that Hikari was having but it was kind of hard not to listen, especially when you were ready to get going. He stared over at Hikari for a moment after noticing her glance at him along with asking if the rest of them were alright to fly. He shook his head lightly and turned away. Of course he was alright to fly, he hadn't done anything to his wings and he hadn't used a drop of energy so he was fine to fly and didn't think he even had to answer Hikari's silly question.
LaRae was paying attention to what Hikari was saying, mostly because she was trying to judge just what type of mood she was in now. She was already keeping her arm close to her side so that the crack in the cast couldn't be seen and for anyone knew it was just more comfortable for her to keep her arm close to her while it should be healing. She nodded her head almost immediately after hearing Hikari ask if the rest of them could fly. She was fairly certain that she could. She may have fallen down a couple steps but it wasn't enough to hurt her wings so she didn't foresee any complications with flight. Not to mention they didn't really have to fly that great of a distance and there wasn't any more fog either so they didn't have to stick so close to the water. That was good to know. She couldn't begin to imagine trying to fly through the opening in the fog when it was dark out.
Nobu turned his head to look over at Esen when she started to come closer. He rather quickly turned his head in the other direction though once he'd heard her giggle. He wasn't slow, he knew exactly what caused that. He hated being bathed or getting soaked partially for this reason. It was embarrassing once his fur dried out unless someone took the time to brush him out while he was drying his fur would always poof out, like it was starting to. '...Go ahead and get all your laughing done now.' He told her, hoping that if she got it all out now she wouldn't laugh once his fur was completely dry.
Aamori kept her head against Celestine even after he had pulled her closer and started to speak. She wasn't exactly sure what the cause was for his mood to change from how it usually was. She had kind of half expected him to start returning to normal after the threat of drowning in that room had gone away. Since his mood hadn't changed back to what she was used to she was honestly a little surprised, though she wasn't going to complain. It wasn't everyday that she got to cling to Celestine like this and actually get him to be affectionate too. Her ears twitched slightly when it didn't sound like Celestine was finishing what he was going to say. She started to lift her head a little, intending to look up at him though she paused instantly when she heard what she thought finished his statement. She stared rather wide eyed without bothering to lift her head the rest of the way or make eye contact. She'd been kind of stuck on the thought that Celestine didn't see her as anything more than an annoying little sister, or something. So she honestly hadn't thought he felt that way about her. She was glad to hear otherwise, especially considering her own feelings. She finally cracked a small smile and pressed her head back against him before mumbling almost incoherently. "...I ...l-love you ...too..." She grew a little uncomfortable after getting that out of her mouth when it dawned on her that he mustn't have said what she was glad to hear. He must have thought it. At least she had no other explanation for there being two endings to what he started to say. She was honestly more than a little embarrassed now and wondered if she hadn't just imagined what she wanted the end of his sentence to be. She hated to admit it but she was kind of hoping that he didn't hear a word of her mumblings.
