Hikari just nuzzled Kyran gently again and slipped her arm around behind him for a moment and gave him a light squeeze before she looked up to Nanashi and Kanone. She pulled her arm back and at up straight again, watching Nanashi hold the weapon. She shook her head slightly and then glanced over to Kyran again.

Nanashi glanced back down to LaRae for a moment and then looked at Aamori again. He sighed softly and nodded a little. "...If you say so..." he said quietly. He still didn't know if he could get the hang of this, but he was certainly going to try. "So...who is going to show me how to use this thing?"

Kanone tilted his head slightly and then raised his free hand to rub the back of his head. "Well... I guess since I know how to use it I can show you something. We can practice out back if you want."
Nanashi just stared at him for a moment, "You don't actually mean fight do you?"
"Um...well not to hurt each other." he said with a shrug, "but...yeah, I don't have anything else to work with out there."

Nanashi just groaned quietly. He really didn't like the idea of trying to actually fight with these weapons, he was afraid of getting hurt if not hurting someone else with these things.

Celestine came back downstairs a moment later, dressed once again in his other, less fancy clothes. He had his bag draped over his shoulder and his swallow strapped to his back again, obviously ready to go at any time now. He looked over to Nanashi for a moment and nodded slightly when he saw that he already had a weapon picked out. "Alright... are you ready to at least figure out how to hold that thing?"

Kyran smiled slightly at Hikari and then looked over at Nanashi holding the spetum. Then shook his head lightly after hearing the exchange between him and Kanone. It was all to obvious that Nanashi had never been introduced to a weapon before, let alone gone through the training or sparring. He just hoped that this first little introduction to weapon combat didn't completely turn him away from learning.

LaRae looked over the weapon that Nanashi had picked out between the two. She hadn't seen very many pole arms like those, but that's mostly because they weren't weapons that appealed to her so she didn't pay attention when she saw one. She preferred swords and short blades over all others, they were just a lot easier for her to maneuver with. She also liked her weapon more because she never had to carry it, then again, in instances where there wasn't any earth around she couldn't summon it so it could also leave her at a huge disadvantage in combat.

Aamori glanced over at Kanone briefly. "I'd hope you knew how to use them since you own them.." She commented with a light chuckle. She looked back over at the weapon in Nanashi's hand. "..I know how to use them too. So I guess I can help when we're actually moving again." She commented before looking over at Celestine when he came back downstairs.

Hikari smiled slightly to Kyran and then sighed softly as she watched Kanone and Nanashi. She was thinking about the same thing that Kyran was. She wasn't really sure if Nanashi could stand to do this or not.

Nanashi glanced back to Celestine for a moment and nodded weakly. "I guess so..." He said quietly. He looked at the blade on the weapon unsurely again and then swallowed hard. He clearly still had no cares for this, but he just waited to be told what to do.

"Alright, well... let's go then." Kanone said brightly before starting toward the door. He opened it and glanced back to make sure that Nanashi was following before he headed outside and started off the porch and around the house to the back. He stood there for a moment and twirled the lance in his hand before looking back to Nanashi with a grin. "Ready?"

Nanashi followed Kanone outside slowly and paused once they got to to back yard. He stared at him when he asked in he was ready and shook his head. "...No."

Celestine just watched Nanashi head for the door and then started out after him. He just headed around the house again and then leaned against the back of the house to watch what went on.

Aamori watched when the three of them started to head outside and couldn't resist. She wanted to go too. She followed after Celestine a few moments later. Once around back she stopped and stood near Celestine. She was rather interested to see how Nanashi took to the weapon, and she was curious to know how well Kanone was with that lance.

LaRae looked up when they started to go outside and half debated with herself on wether or not she wanted to watch how this turned out. It didn't take her to long to finally decide to follow after Aamori. She came to a stop not too far from Aamori but had to glance back when she noticed someone was behind her.

Nero had stopped a couple steps behind LaRae with his arms crossed over his chest. He'd caught sight of Kanone and Nanashi rounding the house and thought he had to see this. After seeing the way Nanashi just let his friend beat on him he couldn't believe the guy was going to attempt to use a weapon, let alone one with a sharp end.

Kyran watched as the majority of them left the house and gave a sigh. He didn't bother getting up to go watch, even though he wouldn't have minded. He felt it was going to be embarrassing enough with just Celestine watching Nanashi and now he had Aamori and LaRae too. He shook his head slightly and then let it drop back on the couch.

Nanashi glanced over to the side of the house and his ears drooped when he saw how many of them were out there watching. He sighed and glanced back to Kanone again, looking more like he'd rather got crawl under a rock than try this.

Kanone looked at him for a moment, deciding not to pay attention to the rest of them. "First rule, don't get side tracked or you're going to get stabbed." he said simply. "Pay attention to be, not them." He repositioned his hands on the lance and braced himself. "So...ready?"
"NO!"
He nearly fell over. "Give me a break! You know if you were on a battle field your opponent wouldn't be asking you if you were ready."
Nanashi sighed heavily. "...Fine... go..." He said reluctantly.

Kanone finally dashed toward Nanash, spinning the lance as he dove into the air and started to bring it down toward Nanashi. He decided against jabbing at the guy with the thing right now and was just going for him with the sides.

Nanashi tried to do what he was told and watch Kanone, but when he came at him, he had no idea what he was supposed to do. As soon as he saw him come down at him with the lance he froze and cringed, closing his eyes tightly and cowering back a little like he was ready to get beaten, though he did manage to get the the spetum held up enough to block the spear from hitting him, but the way that he was standing, the mere force alone was enough to knock him over backwards. He yipped when he hit the ground, and then opened one eye to look up at Kanone.

Kanone just stared down at him and blinked. "...What...was that?" he asked blankly. He just shook his head and backed off. "Geez, take it easy, I'm not trying to hurt you. You act like I'm about to bludgeon you with this thing."

Hikari sighed softly and stayed next to Kyran, though she glanced toward the doorway after a few moments. "...I somehow have a feeling I'm going to be needed in a little bit. Someone may lose an arm..."

Aamori stood there quietly though she had glanced over briefly when she noticed LaRae and then Nero too. She shook her head lightly knowing why LaRae had followed but what was Nero here for? She glanced back over to watch Kanone and Nanashi. She just stared blankly at Nanashi when he wound up knocked over on the ground after what Kanone did. She gave a soft sigh and then looked over at Kanone. "Maybe you should try instructing him on a proper stance before actually going at him." She paused. "Without a decent stance he's just going to get knocked over again." She commented.

LaRae gave a sigh when she noticed that it was Nero behind her. She felt a little uncomfortable with him that close behind her but turned her attention back to watch Nanashi and Kanone. She too ended up staring blankly at Nanashi when he got knocked down so easily. Though, she couldn't say she wasn't expecting it since he'd never had any form of combat training before.

Nero continued to just stand there and watch quietly. Not bothering to comment, or laugh for that matter when Nanashi hit the ground. He may have thought it was funny but wasn't mean enough to go laughing at him for his inability to keep his feet planted on the ground through an attack.

Kyran glanced over at Hikari when she spoke and gave a small sigh. "I hope not. I'd like to think one of them would step in before anyone got hurt." He paused and then looked over at the door for a moment. "I have a feeling this trip is going to be rough on Nanashi for the next few days, or longer. He'll need a crash course in the basics of combat just to keep himself from harms way..."

Kanone sighed as he glanced over to Aamori when she said that he needed to instruct him on how to stand. "Well I thought he could at least stand up..." he muttered as he looked back to Nanashi again. "Speaking of standing up..." He said, twirling his hand in the air as if telling him to move along.

Nanashi slowly got to his feet again, still gripping the spetum tightly with both hands. He looked ready to just dig a hole and jump in it, but he forced himself not to look over at the others. He knew if he saw their expressions that he'd just want to go hide, this was embarrassing enough as it was.

Kanone sighed again, "Alright...if you're just going to stand there, spread your legs apart more and keep one foot a little ahead of the other... and bend your knees a little like this." he said as he took a defensive stance. "and hold your weapon like this." he told him as he held his lance in front of him at a slightly diagonal angle.

Nanashi watched him and then copied his stance, then just stood there. "...Now what?"

"Now block and don't fall on your tail." He said as he backed up. He came at him again, swinging the lance at him again from the side, this time without all of the fancy twirling.

Nanashi stood there but again he cringed and flinched when the lance came at him. He tried to move, but ended up back stepping. The lance connected with the pole of the spetum while his other foot was still partially off the ground and he fell over sideways again.

Kanone just slapped his forehead. "Well...at least you didn't fall on your tail..." He muttered. "Stop flinching every time you see something coming at you. When you fight, you're probably gonna get hit, just deal with it. If you cringe like that ever time something comes at you and don't6 even try to do anything you're going to get killed on something one of these days."

Celestine just sighed heavily and shook his head. "This is kind of pitiful..." he muttered quietly. He glanced over to Aamori for a moment and then looked back toward Nanashi before stepping away from the house. "...You aren't much of a hands on learner, are you? Would it help at all if you watched someone else using the thing to give you some idea of what you're supposed to do with it? You're holding it more like a bat."

Nanashi climbed to his feet again and looked over to Celestine before glancing down to his hands again. "...M-maybe.." he said quietly. He really hadn't ever seen anyone use a weapon like this before, so he had no idea what he was doing with it. Nanashi learned to do most things by watching and listening rather than just trying it hands on first.

Hikari sighed softly and nodded, "Yes, I know... Well between all of us hopefully we can teach him something... Maybe he'll get a little from Kanone's training. He seems like he might be a fast learner. He was able to learn a completely different language after all. I still don't know how he managed that."

Aamori sighed hearing Kanone's comment. She of course had something smart to say to that but decided to just keep her mouth shut. She stayed quiet and just watched as Nanashi took the defensive stance easily enough. Though she shook her head again when Kanone was able to knock him over again. She gave another sigh and then looked over at Celestine just about the time he'd glanced at her. She then looked over at LaRae momentarily before stepping closer to her and Nero. "..Do me a favor, would you two stop being spectators?" She was trying to get at least the two of them away from here, she could honestly tell how embarrassed Nanashi must have been.

LaRae gave a small sigh when she saw Nanashi get knocked down again. She glanced to Aamori when she came over and then nodded slightly. "...Alright." She stood there for a moment longer before she turned around and headed back towards the front of the house. She wasn't going to argue with Aamori, she understood why she was asked to leave.

Nero glanced down at Aamori when she came over and asked them to leave. He just stared at her for a moment before turning around too. He'd seen enough, the couldn't wield a weapon just like he thought and he'd gotten more then enough humor watching him take a dive not once, but twice. He ended up back on the porch sitting down again, without a word.

Kyran nodded a little. "Yeah, that still kind of baffles me." He paused. "It can be hard enough just to learn your own clans language, let alone one of another clans..." He gave a soft sigh. "If I didn't find it intrusive, I'd be tempted to ask him about it." He commented quietly.

LaRae rounded the house and opened the front door, stepping inside and then shutting it before walking over to the couch and sitting down on it with a heavy sigh. She knew why she was asked to leave but it still bothered her that she was asked in the first place.

Nanashi glanced over to the other for a moment when he saw LaRae start to leave and then Nero. He was kind of glad that they went, he didn't really like being watched while getting his butt kicked.

Celestine sighed and walked over to Nanashi, taking the spetum from him and then handed it over to Kanone. "Fine then, watch him." he said as he reached behind him and flipped his swallow over his head. "Ready Kanone?"

"Whoo...we haven't done this in a long time. I'm not going easy on you, kid." he said with a grin as he tossed the lance aside to come to a stop near Aamori's feet. He braced himself in a defensive stance and narrowed his eyes slightly at Celestine. He knew he never gave any warning when he went to attack.

Celestine stood there for just a moment and then took a run at Kanone, holding the swallow with one hand as he spun it around in front of him and caught the edge of Kanone's blade, making a loud ring echo through the area. He quickly pulled the blade back and spun it again, this time dashing up at him from the side. He was blocked yet again with the end of the pole, but he just flipped his wrist around and started to swing up the other way. In spite of its appearance, his weapon was fairly light, so it was easy to twist and maneuver in one hand, though it's size made turning it some ways a bit difficult. If he wasn't careful he'd smack himself in the face with it.

Kanone kept his eyes trained on Celestine, watching how he moved to determine which way he needed to block from. He was able to easily block the first two attacks, but when he stun the weapon around on him, he barely had time to twist his blade before he just did a back handspring with the pole of the spetum clutched in both hands. When he flipped back onto his feet he spun the weapon around, narrowly missing Celestine's left cheek. When these two went at it, they really went at it hard. It was his turn to do the attacking now. He spaced his hands on the pole and slashed upwards at an angle, though his blade was blacked away by the swallow. He pulled back and jabbed toward Celestine's middle, though the are where the blades divided caught on the center pole of his swallow.

Before Kanone had time to pull the blade back, Celestine quickly twisted his own blade's handle, spinning it in quick circles, which caused the handle of the other weapon to twist out of Kanone's hands and then sent the blade flying into the air where it came down a few feet away, blade first in the ground. He then held his blade out toward Kanone like he was about to slash him before he just lowered it. "I thought you weren't going easy on me."

Kanone blinked when the spetum went spinning through the air and landed in the ground. "Oh geez! I should have seen that one coming." He muttered. He just gave Celestine a look and rolled his eyes when he made his last comment.

Nanashi moved out of their way quickly when they started to get ready to fight and just kept his eyes on Kanone, watching his every move like a hawk from the way that he held the weapon o the way that he positioned his feet while fighting. He was pretty sure that he could do all of that just fine...as long as there was nothing coming at his face. He was just so accustomed to flinching and rolling over to wait for the beatings to stop that he couldn't help cringing when he thought impact was coming. He guessed he was going to have to get over that pretty soon. He blinked when Celestine sent the spetum flying out of Kanone's hands. And here he thought Kanone was the expert. maybe he should be taking lessons from Celestine instead...

Hikari nodded slightly. "I'd always been under the impression tat a dragon half couldn't form the right syllables to speak in dragon tongue anyway, so I suppose I was just as surprised that he could speak in that tongue at all. I guess I shouldn't believe everything I read." She half smiled and shook her head, "You could still ask him... if he doesn't want to answer I'm sure he probably wont." She looked up again when the door opened and LaRae stepped inside. "...How is he doing?" she asked once LaRae was seated. From the look she had, she didn't think he was doing all that great.

Aamori was a little surprised at how easily the other two left. She had half expected at least LaRae to put up a fight about it. She gave a soft sigh and glanced back over to the others just in time to see the lance land near her feet. She looked down at it for a moment before reaching down and picking it up. She looked it over a little more closely now that she was able to hold it and then passed it from one hand to other before twirling in her hand, then over her head to her other hand. She finally stopped toying around with it when Celestine and Kanone started. She stood there quietly watching though the instant she caught sight of the spetum sailing through the air and into the ground she chuckled lightly before glancing back over at Kanone. She shifted her glance over to Celestine for a moment before chuckling lightly. "Are you sure he was even trying, Celestine?"

Kyran just smiled slightly and looked down at Hikari. "I could ask him, but like I said I don't want to be intrusive." He paused. "Though, I'm sure that you'll end up asking him sooner or later if I don't." He glanced over at LaRae once she'd sat down and quirked a brow slightly. "They aren't done are they?" He asked curious to know why she'd come back inside. He didn't think she'd be back until Nanashi was done getting the lesson.

LaRae gave a heavy sigh and looked over at Hikari for a moment. "...About as well as any of us thought he would be." She paused. "He's already been knocked down twice, and it didn't look like it took a whole lot." She said with another sigh. She glanced over at Kyran and shook her head. "No, they're still working at it." She paused and crossed her arms over her chest. "Aamori asked me and Nero to leave."

Kanone looked over to Aamori and stuck out his tongue. "Hey, give me a break, these things have been gathering dust in my closet for the past two years or so!"

Celestine sighed and shook his head. "...Which only goes to show how incompetent a warrior you are. Why do you even wear that bracelet? It's a joke."

Kanone looked back to Celestine and narrowed his eyes, actually looking fairly angry for once in his life. He opened his mouth like he was about to say something to him and then just closed it again. Shouting at him would be like yelling at a wall. "When there's nothing to fight, it's pointless to have them out." he said lowly, "We don't all share your paranoia, Celestine." he said simply before he went to pull the spetum from the ground. He just handed it back to Nanashi again. "Why don't you have a go?" he said simply before he crossed his arms and leaned back against the house, looking fairly irritable.

Nanashi blinked and took the spetum silently before slowly stepping away from the house again. He looked back to Kanone unsurely and then went to stand where he had been before. He took up the same stance that Kanone had and held the blade in the same places. Nanashi was very observant, which made him a very fast learner. He could watch someone do something and then pick up on it pretty fast. Celestine came at him again without warning, the way he had to Kanone, but he came at him in the exact same form, so even when he flinched a little he moved the spetum to block the attack the way he'd seen Kanone move it. The blade then came at him again form another angle, but again it was the same as before, obviously he was just copying what he'd done to Kanone. When he spun the blade around at the angle where Kanone had to turn a back flip, he simply spun away from in in the same direction that his blade was moving since he highly doubted he could even land a backhand spring. While Celestine was straightening up from the downward slash, he finally thrust the spetum at him the way that Kanone hand, though he caught the center of Celestine's blade the way that Kanone did. Nanashi kept his eyes focused on where the blades were conected and Celestine's hands, and when Celestine went to spin his weapon free like he had on Kanone, he loosened his grip on the pole and let it spin between his palms for a second before he latched onto the pole tightly again and jerked it upwards, catching the handle of Celestine's blade between two of the blades on the spetum and jerking it from his hands while his grip was loose. When he was watching before he could tell that after the first rotation, Celestine had to loosen his grip a little to reposition his hands to continue spinning, if Kanone hadn't tried so hard to keep his blade from going with Celestine's then he could have easily sent Celestine's blade flying instead.

Celestine watched as his blade went spiraling across the yard and then landed in the grass. "...Not bad." he said simply as he raised his hand to his cheek. The top of the spetum had grazed his cheek and left a small cut running up his face, though it wasn't even noticeable until he moved his hand and revealed the blood. "At least you're not as dumb as you like to make people think you are. I didn't expect you to figure that one out. Next time I wont be using the same routine, though."

Nanashi's eyes widened when he saw the blood on Celestine's cheek and he dropped the spteum on the ground. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to cut you!" he said quickly, sounding half panicked.

"It's fine. It's just a scratch."

Kanone just stood there with his mouth half hanging open. "...Did he just do that?" I'm getting shown up by a rookie!

Hikari nodded slightly to LaRae and half smiled. "Well...I suppose he probably was a bit embarrassed, I know being watched never helped me when I was trying something for the first time. And I can imagine that he's having a hard time...he really seems the non-violent type. I don't think he'd hurt a fly."

Aamori glanced over at Kanone briefly when he came back over and leaned against the house. She gave a soft sigh and looked at the lance in her hand for a moment before holding it out to return it to Kanone. She then turned her attention back to Celestine and Nanashi and watched as Celestine repeated the same steps as he had used when he sparred against Kanone. She was a little surprised to see that Nanashi had pretty much mimicked every move that Kanone had done with a few minor adjustments in a couple areas. She was even a little impressed to see that Nanashi had been able to send the swallow flying whereas Kanone couldn't. She shook her head lightly at Nanashi's reaction to cutting Celestine; At least he hadn't cut him that badly. She looked over to Kanone for a moment with a faint hint of a smirk on her face. "If you leave your mouth open like that, you're liable to catch a few flies." She said with a light chuckle. "..And had you not been so excited about showing up Celestine you might have thought to do what Nanashi did." She turned her attention back to Nanashi. "That was really good Nanashi. Though... when you cut someone don't just drop your weapon and start apologizing." She paused. "It's okay to do that with us, when you're practicing but for the love of Arienh please don't do that when you're actually protecting yourself." She said lightly with a slight chuckle.

Kyran looked over at Hikari for a moment when she spoke and then looked back over to LaRae with a light nod. "Yes, I guess that could be rather embarrassing... Especially if Nero was watching too." He paused and gave a slight sigh. "I really do hope that he can pick this up easily even if he's the non-violent type." He turned his eyes back towards his blades that were laying on the floor. "And I think he could stand to spar with each of us, at least once." He paused. "We each have slightly different fighting styles so I think it could really help him in the long run."

LaRae shrugged lightly and then looked over at Hikari. "He wasn't really paying any attention to the rest of us once he got knocked down the first time, so I suppose he was a little embarrassed. Though, you're bound to get knocked down a few times in the beginning." She paused. "I hadn't expected him to go down the second time though, he'd been instructed on a good defensive stance and he fell over just as easily." She commented lightly. "And I know... I don't think he'd hurt anyone either but he does need to get over that... Some people and creatures... you just can't avoid hurting them. Nerian was a prime example of that..." She looked over at Kyran when he started talking about Nanashi sparring with everyone at least once. She gave a soft sigh. That at least sounded like a good idea, then he'd be able to get a little experience against the other types of weapons. Though, the thought of him having to spar against Nero at some point only made her shake her head. She wasn't so sure that Nero knew how to use kid gloves for a lack of better words. Then again Nero didn't have weapons like the rest of them he used brass knuckles so perhaps Nero would only be good at teaching hand to hand combat. She gave a light shrug and leaned back on the couch.

Kanone took the lance back and sighed. He just looked over to Aamori again and gave her a dirty look before he crossed his arms again. "Pfft... beginner's luck." he said simply. He knew that Nanashi had obviously thought about what he was doing, but he just didn't want to admit that he hadn't been thinking about it at all. He was just trying to play fight with Celestine more than actually disarm him. He laughed slightly at what Aamori said about not doing that when he was actually trying to protect himself. "Well you never know, it may take them off guard." he said with a laugh.

Nanashi glanced back over to Aamori again and blinked, though his ears lowered slightly when she asked him not to do that when he was actually protecting himself. He sighed and glanced down before finally bending to pick up his weapon. "...I know." he said quietly. He looked back to Celestine again, "I really am sorry, I didn't even know I hit you... I wasn't trying..."

"I know you weren't. It's alright, stop apologizing already. It's annoying when you do it more than once." he said simply. He fianlly walked over to retrieve his weapon and then returned to stand near where he had been. "...I am going to go clean this off. Aamori, if you want to take over, have at it." he said simply before he started back around the house. The cut wasn't that deep, but being on his face it was bleeding quite a bit. He just lowered his hand to his side again as he started back around to the front of the house, though he raised his hadn to cover h is cheek again when he saw Nero still sitting on the porch.

Nanashi sighed softly and just gave Aamori and almost pitiful look. "I think I've had it..."

Hikari nodded slightly in agreement with Aamori. "Well, yes...I suppose in some cases it can't be avoided... but it is good that he doesn't wantt o be violent toward everything... Then again i suppose there is an extreme in either direction." She looked over to Kyran again and tilted her head. "I'm not too sure he could do much but dodge from me, all I have is a bow." she reminded him, "and somehow I doubt that he would want to go hand-to-hand with a girl." she said with a slight smile.

Aamori shook her head lightly when she heard what Kanone said. She wasn't so sure that Nanashi dropping his weapon and apologizing could take an opponent off guard, especially if his opponent was someone well trained; They'd have seen that as a huge opening. She gave a soft sigh after looking to Celestine when he said he was going to clean his cut. She gave a slight nod when he told her she could take over. Though as soon as she glanced over at Nanashi she just stared at him blankly hearing that he'd had it. "B-but you haven't even done that much!" She said sounding almost disappointed while looking away. She gave a heavy sigh. "...Well, if you don't want to continue right now then I guess it's alright... But we'll have to take time and work on it while we're traveling though, keep that in mind."

Kyran gave a nod after listening to LaRae and then looked towards Hikari. "...Dodging is just as important as actual fighting." He paused. "And he could stand to learn how to block projectile's with his weapon. Not every attack is going to be close range..." He shrugged lightly. "As for hand to hand combat, that would probably be better left to a guy. No offense to you girls of course, but it'd probably be better for him to go against someone with a lot more force behind their punches... Especially if he's getting a crash course."

LaRae just stared at Kyran after the last thing he said. "Any girl can hit just as hard as any guy..." She half muttered before looking away. Obviously still taking offense to his comment even when he said not to. She continued to sit there with her arms crossed over her chest. She was wondering how Nanashi was doing now that she and Nero had left.

Nanashi sighed softly and shook his head weakly, "I don't want to fight a girl..." he said simply as he glanced toward the ground, "It's bad enough fighting someone who looks younger than me." He said looks only because he knew that Celestine was probably a good hundred human years older than him. He aged a bit faster than pure blooded dragons did. "...I just...have trouble making myself do this..." he said quietly. Clearly, he didn't have much trouble picking up on how to fight, but he just lacked any desire at all to do so.

Hikari shrugged slightly, "I'll need to find something else to throw then... I'm not shooting arrows at the poor guy." she said simply, "Or at least not the only kind that I have at m disposal at present." She gave him a funny look when he said that he should be taught by someone with more force behind their punches. She glanced to LaRae and nodded, "Well, fine, we can leave it to a man if you want, but don't make it sound like those little love taps I've given you are any indication of how hard I can punch." she said simply.

Celestine just started up the steps without a word to Nero and lowered his hand from his face to open the door since his other hand was preoccupied with holding his swallow. He sighed when he saw everyone still in the living room and just closed the door behind him, laving a bloody hand print on the handle. He leaned his swallow against the wall and then started to head for the stairs, covering his cheek again.

Hikari glanced back when she door opened and looked at Celestine, catching sight of the blood as soon as he came in. "Celestine, are you alright? What happened?"

"He's getting better." he said simply before continuing to the stairs. "As long as he doesn't drop everything and start apologizing like crazy if he ever hits a real opponent."

"...You mean he was able to hit you?" She wasn't sure how good Celestine was, but the way that he talked she assumed that he must be pretty good with his weapon, so she was a bit surprised that he'd gotten hit.

Celestine sighed and paused. "Yeah, he did. I wasn't taking him quite as seriously as I should have. He watched Kanone go at it with me and then mimicked almost everything he did up to getting his weapon caught on mine, but instead of resisting like Kanone had he went with me when I tried to spin his weapon out of his hand and then jerked up when I had to loosen my grip for a second. The tip of the blade grazed my cheek on the way up." He said simply, "He's not as stupid as he pretends to be." he said simply before starting up the steps again, this time without stopping for any more commentary.

Aamori stared at Nanashi for a moment before sighing. "You're not going to have a choice who you fight in an actual battle you know." She paused. "So you might as well get over it. You don't exactly have a choice in who you spar with." She glanced away momentarily. "I won't make you spar with me right now, but you will eventually wether you like it or not. After all, my staff is one of the closest weapons to your Spetum... And I've had nearly ten years of formal training."

Kyran glanced between LaRae and Hikari and gave a heavy sigh. "...That's not what I was meaning at all..." He said quietly. He really hadn't meant for it sound like that, but he had half expected it to which was why he was trying to cover his ass by asking them not to take offense to it. He'd only meant that one of the guys, preferably the one who could hit the hardest should spar hand to hand against Nanashi. Then again, maybe he was wrong in thinking that. He glanced up when he heard the front door open and looked to Celestine when he entered. He too noticed the blood almost right away and quirked a brow. He sat quietly while Hikari asked all the questions; With her in the room he really didn't have to ask very much, she was usually asking before he could the words out of his mouth. He gave a very soft chuckle when he heard that Nanashi was able to hit him. He hadn't expected the guy to be able to hit Celestine, so he was a little impressed to say the least.

LaRae continued to sit there with a rather unpleasant look on her face. She really hated when a guy didn't think of a girl as an equal. Girls were just as good as guys at the same things, in her opinion anyway. She glanced up briefly when she heard the door open and looked over at Celestine. She just looked at him for a moment before averting her eyes. She sat there quietly while Hikari asked all her questions and then smiled slightly hearing Nanashi hit Celestine.

Nanashi sighed softly and lowered his eyes to the ground. He really didn't understand why they wanted to push him so hard to learn this. The only one that he even really half expected to care if he was hurt or killed was LaRae. He was a little surprised that the others seemed to care so much, or at the very least cared enough that they didn't want to have to protect his worthless behind. He just tightened his grip slightly on the handle of the spetum and closed his eyes when she said that he didn't have a choice. He could always just bow up and refuse to use the thing, but that wouldn't get him very far. "...If you're going to make me anyway what is the difference between now and late?' he muttered. "I won't want to do it any more than than I do now..."

Kanone just sighed and pushed himself away from the house again. "...Well, are we done?" he asked, glancing between Nanashi and Aamori.

Nanashi just shrugged slightly. It didn't sound like it was up to him, really.

Hikari blinked and set back slightly after Celestine went upstairs and then leaned back against Kyran again. "Maybe this wont be as hard as we thought." she said simply. She nuzzled against his arm lightly, obviously forgiving him for the way what he said sounded. "Anyway...as far as what we were talking about before... I would say that Nero is the best bet for for force... and I'm not too sure telling him it's okay to fight with Nanashi would be a good idea." she said simply, "He just...seems like he would go a bit overboard."

Aamori gave a sigh as she looked at Nanashi. "There isn't a difference between now and later, you'll get the practice in. It can either be now and later or just later." She commented. "Well... Unless you'd rather give up all together on learning how to use the weapon." She glanced over at Kanone when he asked if they were done and gave a soft sigh. "I think you were done the minute you lost the weapon in your hand." She paused and looked over at Nanashi again for a moment. "But yes, I believe that we're done.." She said lightly.

Kyran looked down at Hikari when she leaned against him and smiled a little. He gave a slight nod after hearing her. "I think given the chance he would probably go overboard, but that's why he wouldn't be allowed to spar with Nanashi by himself." He paused. "We'd just have to sit in and keep an eye on how it goes, and step in if need be."

LaRae's unpleasant expression faded when they started to talk about Nero sparring hand to hand with Nanashi. She stared at Kyran like he was insane. She was at least trying to understand where he was coming from but Nero didn't appear to be all that happy with her or Nanashi. So given the chance she thought he'd take advantage of being able to harm Nanashi. She shook her head lightly and glanced away briefly. "...Can't you or Celestine do the hand to hand combat?" She asked quietly.

Kanone gave Aamori a look and stuck out his tongue at her after he lightly smacked her in the stomach with the side of the lance. "Just because I lost my grip doesn't mean I'm done." He said simply. He twirled the lance once and then tossed it over his shoulder like he did to his fishing pole the day before.

Nanashi nodded slightly to Aamori and then started to walk back around the house again without a word or so much as even looking up to either of them. He wouldn't give up on learning, just because it would be easier on the others if they didn't feel the need to protect him and he wasn't getting in their way or standing in the back being completely useless. Once he got around the house he sighed heavily, but still didn't raise his head to look up, even when he started up the steps to the porch.

Celestine was just making his way back down the stairs in time to hear LaRae's question. "I'm not very good with my hands. I claw more than punch." he said honestly as he stepped off the last steps, still pressing a wet cloth to his bleeding cheek.

Hikari glanced over to Celestine for a moment and then looked back to Kyran. "Yes, why couldn't you do it, Kyran? I'm just...not sure I trust Nero with that particular job." she said simply. She wasn't certain, so she didn't want to say it, but Nero just seemed the prejudice type to her, and there were few things that irked any prideful dragon more than a dragon half with human blood.

Aamori looked back to Kanone after he smacked her in the stomach with the lance. She'd suppressed the urge to glare at him for doing that and just smirked slightly. "Are you sure.. I mean you looked done to me.. Not to mention you said that the weapons had been collecting dust for nearly two years.. Maybe you can't remember how to use them properly." She smirked again lightly and reached down to her holster pulling the buckle free and letting her staff drop down into her hand. She then lifted it up and held it out in front of her. The way it was now in her hand it was no more then a foot long tops; She'd yet to extend it.

Kyran glanced up when he heard Celestine and then gave a heavy sigh as he looked over at LaRae for a moment before returning his eyes to Hikari. "If you two are so against Nero being allowed to teach him hand to hand, then I'll have to do it." He paused. "I don't really mind, I just thought it'd be easier for Nanashi to try and learn something off of each of us and I'm the only one in the group with dual weapons so I thought I'd help him with that..." He gave a light sigh. "But I suppose I can take up the hand to hand also."

LaRae gave a sigh when she heard Celestine and then glanced over towards Kyran when she heard him say that he could do it. She'd prefer him over Nero, that was for sure. "..I might not be as good at it as you Kyran but I can wield two swords at once." She paused. "I can take up that slack so you don't have to show him two things..." She said quietly.

Kanone returned the smirk and tilted his head slightly, looking at the tiny little staff she had. "And what, are you are going to beat me to death with your little baton?" he asked with a laugh, "If you want to go, why don't you go get flame boy so he can watch and learn?" He said simply.

Hikari shrugged slightly, "...I just don't feel that you would be as likely to actually try to hurt him." she said simply, "The way he was talking...Nero might enjoy it." She glanced over to the door again when she heard it open and sighed softly when she saw Nanashi come inside.

Nanashi just stepped into the house, still keeping his eyes down as he walked, at least until he noticed Celestine. He looked up to him for a moment and then lowered his eyes again. "...Are you alright?"

Celestine just sighed and shook his head. "No, I'm bleeding to death." he said sarcastically. "For the umpteenth time, yes, it's just a scratch." he said simply as he sat down on the window bench. "You can stop asking already."

"Sorry..." he muttered before he just leaned the spetum against the wall by Celestine's swallow and started to the couch to sink down beside LaRae.

"And stop apologizing...." He groaned, "I think I got it the first time."

Aamori shook her head lightly hearing him call her staff a baton. She glanced down at her staff for a moment before letting her eyes trail back over to him as she slowly pressed down on a button under her thumb, conveniently disguised as an ordinary jewel. Then suddenly both ends of the staff shot out about two and a half feet; Extending the staff to it's full length of six feet. She gave another smirk as she twirled the staff in her hand until it came to a rest next to her. "You should feel special." She paused. "I think you're the first outside of Kairava to see my staff fully extended." She gave a slight shrug when he mentioned going to get Nanashi. "He'll get the chance to watch soon enough... Besides if I go to get him, some of the others would surely follow." She paused. "I don't think you want to be embarrassed in front of them, now do you?"

Kyran glanced over to LaRae when she mentioned that she could wield two swords and quirked a brow. He hadn't know what weapon she used, so he was a little surprised to hear it was a sword. He was curious as to where it was because he'd never seen it. He probably would've known more about her weapon had he been paying attention to her talking about it in the temple where they fought Nerian; But he was a little preoccupied. "Don't worry about it LaRae, we'll deal with it when the time arises." He said lightly before looking at Hikari again. "I guess you're right, I wouldn't intentionally hurt him.." He said lightly. "I think I was just trying to include Nero, since his specialty is kind of hand to hand since he uses those brass knuckles." He gave a sigh and then looked up when he heard the door opening again. He looked at Nanashi for a moment and then shook his head lightly. "...So Nanashi, did that kill you?"

LaRae was a little relieved that Kyran had agreed to be the one to help Nanashi with the hand to hand combat. After all, she knew that Nero still had a grudge against her so she could only imagine what he'd try to do to Nanashi when given permission to spar. She gave a slight nod when Kyran told her not to worry about it. She really didn't care too much for using two swords at once but if she had to she could, it just tended to be a little more draining that way. She glanced up when the door opened and smiled a little when she saw Nanashi. She gave a soft sigh seeing that he was still concerned with how Celestine was. She watched when he came over and sat next to her and smiled weakly.

Kanone just smirked, "Ooh confident, aren't we?" he said with a grin as he backed further away from the house. "I don't go easy on girl's. Celestine was jut a good warm-up to get me woken up." He said simply. He twirled his lance again and grinned. "Ready when you are, Missy." he said lightly as he took of a defensive stance again. "Ladies first." He said with a slight smirk.

Nanashi glanced over to Kyran for a moment and just sighed before leaning back in his seat and closing his eyes again. "Would you prefer the truth or the answer you want to hear?" he asked simply. No it hadn't killed him to do it, but he did feel like he'd died a little on the inside. Even holding a weapon didn't quite feel right to him.

Celestine nearly rolled his eyes. "Give me a break..." he muttered before he looked over to Celestine again, "I don't like weapons either, alright? I hate using the things, but that doesn't stop me from protecting myself when it comes down to it. I will kill something if it means saving my own life or someone else's. I don't know why you are making such a big deal out of just learning to wield the thing."

Nanashi opened his eyes again and sat up to look over to Celestine. He was silent for a moment before he finally started to speak. "I'm not you." he said simply, "I am nothing like you. I can't be who you are and I can't change what I think to suit any of you. I'm doing it, alright? Does it really matter if I like it or dislike it or if it's killing me or not? I'm doing it, what more do you want?" he said as he got to his feet. "...Just...leave me alone for a while." he said quietly before he went to the door to go back outside again. He could wait out there on the porch for a while. Nero was sleeping, what did it matter? He just closed the door behind him again and went to the opposite end of the porch to sit down.

Hikari watched Nanashi get up and leave and then sighed heavily. She'd been about to say something, but by the time he'd finished...she really didn't know what to say. They really were kind of forcing this on him, but it was for his own good. He didn't have to like it to know how to do it. He really did seem upset about the whole thing.

Aamori continued to stand there with her staff in her hand, not bothering to prepare to attack. She tilted her head to the side slightly. "Confident? Yes, I suppose I am." She paused. "But that's not going to get in the way." She chuckled lightly as she lifted up her staff and took it in both hands. "I didn't expect you to go easy on me, since I hadn't planned on going easy on you." She commented. "But since you're not going easy on me don't treat me like a girl, just attack." She smirked lightly and continued to stand there not bothering to take any stance.

Kyran watched when Nanashi got up and left and looked rather dumbfounded. He gave a heavy sigh and leaned his head back on the couch. "...His whole outlook on weapons sucks." He paused. "And I only asked a question.. Wasn't like I was trying to be mean or anything." He shook his head lightly. "He makes it sound like the rest of us like to use weapons... I think every one of us has been where he is right now.. Or at least I know I have." He gave another sigh and went quiet for a moment. "...I just hope the first time he has to protect himself, his out look on all of this changes."

LaRae looked at Nanashi when he got up and walked out and then gave a heavy sigh. She probably would've gone after him but he said to leave him alone. She glanced over at Kyran briefly and then just shut her eyes all together. She felt like she was caught somewhere in the middle; She felt like he needed to learn this stuff even if it was forced on him and then at the same time she felt bad because he obviously would rather not learn it. Things would just be easier if he wasn't against the use of weapons and the possibility of having to kill something or someone to protect yourself. She finally opened her eyes again but didn't look at anything in particular. "...We don't need to push him any further..." She started, quietly. "I'll take up the slack and keep an eye on him.." She paused. "..Then he doesn't have to learn something he doesn't want to.."

Nero wasn't asleep and he hadn't been since he sat back down on the porch. He'd barely moved at all but he'd watched everyone who went into the house and exited it; He'd even noticed the blood from Celestine. He glanced over at Nanashi for a brief moment before looking away again and acting like he wasn't paying attention. He was quiet for a few minutes. "...So what's gotten into you?" He paused. "...You seem a little more down then usual. Did making contact with the guy really bother you that much?" He asked sounding half way uninterested.

Kanone just rolled his eyes slightly. "You asked for it." he said simply. He finally shifted positions and ran toward her. As he got closer to her he took a mighty leap into the air and came don t her with the blunt end of the lance. Even if he wasn't going easy on her, he was still trying not to draw blood. He was fairly certain that if he tried he could draw blood and he really didn't want to. She had enough problems with thorns, let alone the tip of a lance.

Hikari looked over to Kyran and shook her head. "I don't think he was upset at what you said..." she said softly before glancing toward Celestine for a moment. She just looked back to Kyran again and Wrapped her arm around his loosely as she leaned against him again. "I think...he just doesn't really understand why we think it's so important for him to learn."

Celestine caught Hikari looking over to him and shrugged. "He can get upset all he wants, I really don't care." he said simply, "As long as he learns." He looked over to LaRae and nearly rolled his eyes. "Yes and I suppose he will feel much better when you can't do anything to protect even yourself like back in that temple and end up getting hurt or worse trying to save his ass because he never learned to do it himself." he said simply, "I am not letting up on it." He said firmly, "He will learn to use that thing whether he bloody well likes it or not. I don't want to have to look behind me ever y little bit to make sure nothing is trying to eat him every time we have to go against something. That's not the rest of the group's job, and it's not yours." he said simply.

Nanashi nearly jumped when he heard Nero's voice, but he just barely glanced over to him. He was actually surprised that he was even speaking to him. "...Yes... Yes it did." he said simply, having already turned his eyes down again. "...I don't like to fight... it's just... fighting back just causes even more problems." he said quietly. He was sure that a big part of the reason that Nero disliked him so much was because of what happened to his friend at the festival. He'd really tried to just let the guy get bored of wailing on him and then slip away. LaRae fighting back for him only caused that guy to be hurt and then LaRae to be hurt as well when Nero stepped in. If she had just stayed out of it, everyone would have been better off in the long run. The bruises would have been gone in a couple of weeks. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate the gesture, but...he really thought that she'd over done it. That guy was probably going to have pertinent scars o his face now.
