Aamori nodded her head slightly after hearing Kyran answer her questions. She sighed softly and glanced down at Celestine again when Kyran asked if she wanted him to take him. It would probably be better to have him inside laying down rather than sitting out here passed out against her. She looked back up to Kyran and then nodded again lightly. "Yes, that sounds like it would be better." She said quietly before starting to loosen her hold on Celestine so that he could be picked up.
Kyran's glance shifted over to Aamori when she said he could move Celestine. He then moved slightly so that he could reach over and pick him up. He placed his hand on Celestine's shoulder and gently pulled him back away from Aamori a little. Then he slipped an arm under Celestine's knees and then put his other at his back, then lifted him up as he got back to his feet. He shifted Celestine's weight around a little and then looked back down to Aamori. "I'll need you to open the door for me." He said as he started to walk towards the door.
Aamori watched while Kyran moved Celestine so that he could be picked up. Once Kyran had a hold of him she fell back a little and then pulled her legs out from under her and stretched them a little. She'd been sitting on he porch like that so long that she now had little marks on her legs that showed she'd been sitting on wood; Not to mention from her knees to her ankles were reddened. She sighed softly when she heard Kyran say that he would need her to open the door. She sat there for a moment before she started to get up. She adjusted her skort a little and then started for the door herself. She slipped past Kyran and set her hand on the door knob before opening the door and stepping inside, holding it open so that Kyran could pass through with Celestine. Once he was inside, she shut the door behind them.
Nero opened his eyes again, rather quickly when he heard someone rushing up the stairs and then slip. He started to get to his feet about the time Hikari had moved to the foot of the stairs and then started up after Kanone. He sighed softly, knowing now that it was Kanone on the stairs. He started to walk over towards the stairs himself. Once he reached the foot of the stairs he just glanced up them for a moment.

Kanone just knelt there gasping after he was finished gagging, but he didn't bother to try to get up until he felt someone's hand on him, then he slowly turned his head to look at Hikari, still looking a little green around the gills.
Hikari reached down to place her hand on Kanone's shoulder gently when she got to him and then her ears laid back a little when she saw how sigh he looked. She shook her head slightly and knelt beside him. At least the mess that he made didn't really smell. "...Come on..." she said gently, taking his arm to haul him up. "...lets go get you a drink, alright? I'll clean up in a minute." she told him. She guided him down the stares slowly with both hands on his shoulders, mainly because she was half afraid that he would just fall over and roll down the stairs if she didn't hand onto him. She glanced to the door when she reached the bottom of the stairs and saw Kanone come in carrying Celestine. That poor guy looked a mess as well. "...If you're going upstairs, watch your step." she told him softly before she started down the hall with the half dazed Kanone, rubbing his back gently. Once she got him down the the kitchen she led him to a chair and let him sit down beside she went to get him a glass and filled it with cold water then set it on the table in front of him.
Kanone just let Hikari maneuver him around, all he did was move his feet and stare at the ground with his aching eyes. He felt like he was having some kind of out of body experience with all of this, everything just didn't really seem entirely real, he still wished that he would just wake up. He sat down in the chair and barely noticed when Hikari returned with the water, but he reached for it almost absently, picking it off the table with his trembling hands and took a few swallows to get the rancid taste out of his mouth.
Hikari just watched him with a quiet, sympathetic expression and then moved to put her arms around him gently. "...I'm sorry, Kanone...I wish there was more that I could do..." she said softly and she nuzzled him. "...I lost my mother too... I know it hurts..." she whispered to him, "...but you will be alright...You still have Marius and Celestine and your friends... You're not alone, aright?" she said softly.
Kanone just nodded absently and took another sip of the water before he set the glass on the table again. "..." He wasn't so sure about having Celestine anymore. Whatever he had said to him had cut that poor kid like a stab to the heart.
Nanashi watched at Nero walked to the edge of the stairs after Hikari went up and then looked over to the door when Aamori and Kyran came inside. He walked in that general direction and came to a silent stand still beside Kyran, looking at Celestine for a moment before he raised his hand slowly to wipe the half dry tears off of his pale face. "..." He backed off again after that and lowered his eyes back to the ground again.
Marius was still just sitting in the bedroom with his head in his hands. He was still struggling not to cry himself, but now that he was alone, h felt the tears pulling at his eyes. He loved Sonia like a daughter, and he knew how much Kanone adored her and how important she was to Celestine. Both boys were old enough to do for themselves, but now he guessed it was completely up to him to take care of them when they needed it.

Kyran glanced up and over to Hikari for a moment when he heard what she said. He watched her with Kanone and then sighed softly. He was beginning to think it was a good thing that they were here when this happened. He couldn't imagine either of the two boys getting around successfully on their own. Hell, if he hadn't gone with them to look for Sonia there was a pretty good chance that they would have still been out there. His eyes shifted slightly and rested on Nanashi for a moment when he came over. He continued to stand there while Nanashi wiped the half dried tears from Celestine's face and then glanced back to Aamori briefly. "Aamori, do you think you could go up first. Just let me know where and what I am watching for?" He asked quietly. Of the places to let Celestine rest he figured upstairs in one of the bedrooms was better. That way he wouldn't be bothered.
Aamori looked over at Hikari when she heard what she said as well and then watched as she guided Kanone down the hall. She thought briefly about following after them, just because she hadn't gotten to check on Kanone yet and she was concerned about him as well. She turned slightly and looked back to Kyran when she heard his question. She gave a nod and then started to walk over to the stairs. She waited at the base of the stairs for a moment for Kyran and then started up them. It didn't take her very long to find what Hikari was telling them to watch their step for. She had to look away for a moment but continued up to the top, around the mess. Once she was upstairs she turned back to look down at Kyran. "...I'm pretty sure that Kanone got sick..." She paused. "It's right near the top of the stairs, by the wall." She said and then watched as Kyran got up the stairs, just avoiding the mess. She looked at him for a moment once he was upstairs and then glanced around at the rooms. "...Where are you putting him?"
Kyran sighed softly when he made it upstairs, thankful that he couldn't exactly see the stairs. He didn't have a weak stomach, but it wasn't very strong either. He looked to Aamori and then stood there for a moment. "...Well, I guess the room that Nanashi and I were in for now." He didn't exactly want to go putting him the room Nero was staying in, especially without checking with Nero first. He started down the hall a moment later to the room he'd been staying in and went straight over to the bed. He uncurled his tail as he neared the bed and used it to shift the blanket back towards the foot of the bed. His tail recurled rather quickly as he laid Celestine down on the bed. He gave a short lived sigh and then grabbed for the covers as he pulled them up. He took a step back once Celestine was in the bed and looked over at Aamori for a moment, since she had tagged along behind him. "Are you going to stay with him again?" He asked curiously.
Nero stood by the stairs at least until Hikari and Kanone had come down. After they passed and went to the kitchen he glanced over at Kyran for a moment before turning and heading down the hall himself. He didn't go as far as the kitchen though, he stopped at the bedroom door and just barely took a step inside. He stared over at the bed for a minute and then glanced over to Marius. He didn't say anything, and had been trying to be quiet.

Hikari nuzzled Kanone again gently and held him tight for a moment before she finally let him go. "...I will be right back, Kanone." she said gently as she backed away from him. She started back down the hall again, absently glancing int o the bedroom as she passed. She just caught sight of Nero in there before she smiled and went to the stairs, heading up on the left side. At least the mess was small so she didn't have to worry about stepping in it. Once she reached the top of the stairs she went to the bathroom to find some towels and soaked one before she went back to the stairs and started to clean up the little mess. It didn't take her long to get it up before she returned to the bathroom to wash out the towels again. She really wasn't bothered by the face that he'd been sick. When it came to things like that she had a stomach of cast iron. She did have to take care of a baby sister after all. Well, she didn't have to, but she would do it before she would let anyone else.
Nanashi just stood there once everyone else had wandered off and then sighed softly before returning to the couch. He really wasn't sure what else he could do right now, so he guessed that he would just wait until someone needed him.
Marius had finally given in and was crying quietly into his hands. He didn't sob the way that Kanone and Celestine had, mainly because he didn't want to draw attention away from them. He was so glad that the others were still here because he really needed a moment to himself to be sad; he couldn't be in front of the boys. Had he known that Nero had come into the room he probably would have already been dashing his eyes and trying to shove his emotions back into their box. He wasn't sure that Kanone was going to be able to do what needed to be done, so he may be getting out there with a shovel himself soon.

Aamori glanced up to Kyran when he asked if she was going to stay with Celestine again. She shook her head a little. "No... well... at least not like the other day. I'll still check in on him, but I don't think I need to be in here indefinitely." She said quietly. She still wanted to be there for Celestine, but since he had passed out she thought she might have a chance to go see Kanone. She lingered in the room near the bed for a few moments longer before turning and starting for the door. She might have sat with Celestine a little longer but it didn't look like Kyran was going anywhere. She sighed softly as she slipped out into the hallway again and started for the stairs. As she headed down she noticed that the mess was already cleaned up. She hadn't been paying attention to anything else on her way to the stairs so she hadn't even noticed that Hikari was upstairs. Once she reached the base of the stairs she paused for a moment, looking over to Nanashi on the couch before continuing down the hall towards the kitchen. She stepped into the kitchen and then quietly moved over closer to where he was sitting. She wanted to ask how he was, but that much should have been obvious just by looking at him so the question did seem a little pointless. She just stood there quietly looking at him while she tried to think of something to say.
Kyran was a little surprised to hear that Aamori wasn't going to stay in here with him. He had half expected her to since she stayed with him the whole time he was in the bed downstairs. He just watched her as she started to leave the room and tilted his head slightly. He couldn't help wondering if maybe he had said something wrong because all she did was stare at Celestine and then leave. He sighed once she was gone and then looked back down to Celestine for a moment. He hadn't been paying real close attention until Nanashi had come up, but obviously Celestine had managed to cry a bit finally. He was shocked when only Kanone broke out into tears in the forest, and since Celestine hadn't released even one tear he kind of expected him to go this whole time with a dry face. He kind of wondered what set off the water works.
Nero continued to stand there quietly for a few minutes before shifting slightly and looking back towards the bed momentarily. He sighed and then glanced over at Marius. "By no means am I trying to be heartless by asking this so suddenly..." He paused. "Are you going to need any help?" He asked of course referring to burying her. He half thought asking such a thing was rude. Even if he needed help, would he really want someone that he just met recently helping? It couldn't hurt to extend the offer since the actual job didn't bother him that much since he'd done it before. Not to mention he seemed to be the only one so far to gather all of their composure back right away.

Kanone slowly raised his head when he noticed someone else in the room, knowing immediately that it wasn't Hikari since there weren't sparkles shimmering everywhere from the light hitting her. He stared at Aamori for a moment with those broken, red rimmed eyes and then slowly lowered his gaze again. "...I'm not in the mood...to pat you on the head right now..." he said quietly, trying weakly at a joke, though he sounded so miserable that there was no humor at all in the statement. He closed his eyes and then folded his arms on the table and lowered his head into them, trying with all his might not to start sobbing again. He couldn't seem to quit for five freaking minutes before he was going again, even with nothing really to get him started.
Hikari finally finished with cleaning out the towels and left the bathroom again after hanging them up to dry out a bit. She started down the hall though she paused at Kyran's door and looked inside. She sighed softly before she stepped inside and walked right up to him, leaning agianst him lightly as she looked down to Celestine. "...Is he alright?" she asked softly. "...Poor boys...they're both torn to pieces..." she said quietly.
Marius startled when Nero first spoke and raised his head quickly to look at him as if he thought he was going to see a complete stranger. His eyes were wet and tears clung to his lashes as a couple escaped down his face. He was rather surprised to see Nero there, but he dashed his eyes dry with his sleeve and straightened himself up the best that he could before he decided the mission was futile and let his shoulders slump again with a sigh as he raised one hand to his temple, shaking his head tiredly. "...I don't know..." he said quietly, "...I don't think Kanone can handle it...and I know that Celestine cannot..." he sighed softly, "...I'm not entirely positive that i can either, but I'm going to try... I can't ask any of you to so anything more than you already have..." he said quietly. "Thank you...Nero...for the offer...really... but...I...it's not your job." he said softly and then forced a soft laugh and it almost sounded more like a sob, "she may get up and slap me if I let you do something like that."

Aamori continued to look at Kanone when he stared at her. She lowered her eyes slightly after seeing his face and her ears fell back slightly.
she looked right back to him after he spoke, obviously his attempt at a joke. She sighed softly and then took a few steps closer so that she was standing next to him. "...Well..." She paused for a moment before she lifted her hand up and then patted Kanone's head. She smiled weakly and then pulled her hand back. "...At least one of us got patted on the head..." She said quietly. It was really awkward seeing him like this, she really preferred him when he was smiling and joking around. But she knew the way he was feeling right now couldn't be helped.
Kyran sighed softly and was about to turn to walk out of the room but Hikari had come in. He smiled slightly down at her when leaned against him. "...I'm not entirely sure, but I assume he's probably hurting from all the running and the few falls he took earlier." He paused. "Emotionally, I really am not sure. Aamori would probably be able to answer that better then I could." He glanced back to Celestine briefly. "...I just hope that with what Kanone said to him, they can put that behind them and still be there for one another." He said quietly. "They're going to need each other, and Marius." He paused. "It's really hard to get through something like this on your own..."
Nero kept standing there even after Marius looked up at him so quickly. His expression didn't change, he still held that rather cold look he usually had. Though he tried softening it slightly seeing as Marius had been crying a bit himself. He nodded slightly once Marius had finished speaking. He understood it wasn't his job but he still didn't mind. "...In all seriousness, if you need help at least with the shoveling, I can and don't mind helping. I'm pretty used to it." He said with a sigh. "An old man like yourself doesn't need to be straining himself by doing something like that by himself." He paused. "And I doubt she'd be any happier knowing you threw your back out while doing it all alone." He added lastly.

Kanone choked out a small laugh into his arms and then slowly raised his head again and looked at Aamori, still close to tears. "...I...don't know...what to do..." he said quietly. He looked down to the floor again and shook his head. "..I...it's just...going to be...so..so quite.....so empty..." he whispered. He didn't know if he could ever stand to step foot inside his house again without Sonia there. He was so used to opening the door to find her cooking or just...doing something.
Nanashi sighed softly from where he sat and finally stood up again. He guessed that he could go see how Celestine was doing since everyone else was checking on someone. Aamori had Kanone and he thought that she could handle him better than he could. Celestine was out cold, and he just wanted to be doing something more than sitting there. He glanced at the stairs for a moment and then continued up, heading down the hall. He could already guess where Kyran had taken Celestine.
Hikari sighed softly and nodded. "...Yes...I know." she said quietly. She nuzzled against him gently and then put her arm around his waist gently for a moment before she slipped away and sat down on the edge of the bed, reaching over to Celestine to gently brush his hair out of his face. She still felt so sorry for him. He looked like just a little boy when he was sleeping. "...At least he cried this time..." she said quietly, remembering what Sonia had said about him not crying once when his parents had died. It was better that he was able to cry rather than crush himself with his grief. "...I can see...why Kanone would have turned on him...but I doubt that he meant it... I'm sure they both feel guilty... Celestine for telling Kanone not to go, and Kanone for not going. There is a good chance that it could have happened anyway...but I doubt that they see it that way." she said quietly. She smiled weakly, "...Well...he's not alone... He's got us for a while... I know it's not the same...but it's something."
Marius looked back to Nero again and tried to smile weakly when he said that she wouldn't be happy if he threw out his back. "...Hey now...I'm not that old yet." he said quietly, trying his best to keep up his usual humor. He was failing miserably, but he still was obviously trying hard to be the strong one of the three of them. Nero was the last of them that he would have really expected compassion from, and though he still saw the slight bit of softness in his cold expression. He sighed softly and finally pushed himself out of the chair again. "...I suppose...if I tried to do it myself that I could be there the rest of the day and all night." He knew that he really wasn't the fastest person in the world anymore. He was probably going to get sidetracked several times as well, he knew. He couldn't look in a hole knowing that he was going to have to lay his daughter in it once it was deep enough. It could never be deep enough in his mind.

Aamori reached over and set her hand down gently on Kanone's shoulder. "I don't think anyone really knows what to do after something like this happens." She said softly. "The only thing I think there is to do, is to grieve, and then keep living..." She added. "With every day that passes, it should get a little easier." She looked away for a moment and then smiled weakly as she looked back to him. "...There is something that the Elders of my clan like to tell us when we've lost someone..." She paused. "Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean." She said softly as she finally lifted her hand from his shoulder and let it fall back to her side. "...Your mother still lives on in your heart and memories, and she always will."
Kyran sighed softly and watched as Hikari went to sit on the bed. "...I was a little surprised that he even cried, to be honest." He paused. "He didn't break down like Kanone had when we found her... so I really didn't expect him to cry." His eyes trailed over to Celestine for a moment. "...I don't think Kanone meant what he said either. But what was said and the way it was said..." He shook his head lightly. "I'm not sure that they'll work things out easily, or quickly for that matter. Mostly because I'm sure that Celestine believes it's his fault like Kanone said..." He paused. "And I'm sure that it would've happened either way, to any dragon that went through that forest today. Unfortunately you can't exactly predict when it is or isn't safe to go somewhere like that." At least he thought so anyway. Back in Radha, he at least had a good idea of the hunters routes and the days they were out and about. But that didn't always help because you could never be sure when the hunters were going to change their routine. He looked back to Hikari and nodded slightly. Celestine did have the group for awhile. He shut his eyes and sighed again while crossing his arms over his chest loosely. "I wish that we had the time to stay here longer... I kind of feel bad knowing that Kanone only has Marius once we all leave again." He said quietly while opening his eyes.
Nero continued to just stand there looking over at Marius. He shook his head lightly when Marius said that he wasn't that old yet. He refrained from making anyone stabs at Marius' age, for now at least. His eyes shifted back towards the bed and he stared briefly. "I'll take that as a round about way of saying you could use the help." He paused. "If you're not ready now, just let me know when you are." He said as he looked back over to Marius.

Kanone looked at Aamori and tried to smile. "...I know..." he said quietly, his eyes welling again, "...But it's not the same..." He lowered his eyes yet again and then tried to stand up. He finally wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned his head down so that his forehead touched the top of her head. "...I...is..Celestine.....alright?" he asked quietly, his voice wavering slightly. "..I...I said something to him...I...I didn't mean it, but...I...I just..." he shook his head and then dropped his arms. "...I didn't meant to hurt him..." he said quietly.
Hikari sighed softly. "...Yes...I know..." she said quietly, "...Perhaps... he could stay a little while...if he wanted... and then catch up to us in Kairava..." she said softly, "The place isn't hard to find..." she said softly as she stroked Celestine's hair again. She looked up to Kyran again and sighed before she looked back to Celestine again. "...Poor boy..." she said again as she continued to stroke his hair gently.
Nanashi stepped into the room slowly once he got to it and sighed softly when he saw Hikari in there. "...Is he okay?" He asked quietly as he walked up to the bed. He stood off to the side a little and looked down at the bed again. He watched Hikari stroke his hair for a moment and then glanced away toward Kyran.
Celestine groaned quietly and turned his head slightly toward Hikari's hand. He muttered something quietly in his native language and moved his hand slowly up to his face, taking a hold of Hikari's hand gently. He had passed out in Aamori's arms, but he was already starting to come again again, probably because of the voices. Usually when he passed out he wasn't out for too long, but he still wasn't aware enough to open his eyes or know what was going on.
Nanashi looked over to Celestine again when he spoke and then his ears fell back slightly and he looked at his hand on Hikari's before his eyes fell again. He understood what Celestine had said, though he knew that he was the only one in the room who had.
Marius looked over to Nero again and nodded. "...Alright...thank you." he said quietly. He looked down at himself and sighed. "...I suppose...I should go put on something else." he said as he looked at his night robes. He nodded appreciatively to Nero and then started out of the room finally, heading for the stairs. He started up and breezed right by the room where the others were gathered silently, though the door was still wide open. He just went to his room and closed the door behind him so that he could change.

Aamori looked away from Kanone when he said it wasn't the same and gave a soft sigh. "...I know it isn't." She uttered quietly. She started to look back at him when he tried to stand up. She smiled slightly when he wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned his head to hers. She lifted her arms slightly so that she could rest her hands against his chest lightly. She sighed softly when she heard him ask if Celestine was alright. She was quiet until he finished, and she let her hands fall back to her sides when he let go. She looked at him for a moment. "...He... thinks what happened... is his fault..." She paused. "And he finally cried." She said quietly.
Kyran shook his head lightly hearing what Hikari suggested. "I'd be kind of afraid to leave him here, honestly." He paused. "There's no guarantee that he'll come find us. What Kanone said... I think could easily have been enough to drive him off and we'd likely not see him again." He said with a sigh. His attention shifted slightly when Nanashi came into the room. He looked at Nanashi after hearing his question. "For right now, I think so." He answered. Though he wasn't even really sure. He was just guessing by looking at him. He glanced back to Celestine when he heard him mutter something, but he couldn't understand it. He looked right back to Nanashi after remembering that he had understood Celestine and Kanone before when they spoke in their native tongue. "...Can you tell me what he said?" He asked curiously.
Nero stood there for a few moments after Marius had left the room to go change and then turned to head out himself. He went back to the living room and then sat back down in the chair. He sat on the edge of the chair, rather then making himself comfortable because he assumed they'd be headed out soon since Marius had gone to change. He sighed softly. He was at least happy that he could help a little, though he still felt that no parent should have to bury their child. Not to mention no child should have to bury their own parent.

Kanone closed his eyes tightly when he felt Aamori's hands fall away from his chest. "...That's...that's my fault...I.....I didn't meant to say it.....I didn't even know what I was saying..." he said as he let his arms fall away from her. He sank back into the chair again after he backed away from her and lowered his head into his hands which found themselves held up by his elbows propped on his knees. "....It's...about time he broke..." he said quietly.
Nanashi looked up to Kyran again when he asked if he could tell what he said. He looked at him for a moment and then glanced do Celestine. He sighed softly and lowered his eyes again. "...He said... 'Mother...don't leave me.'" he repeated quietly. He glanced over to Hikari again, "...He thinks you're his mother." he said as if that wasn't obvious by the way that he was holding her hand.
Hikari looked at Celestine, a little surprised when he took her hand and held it to his face, though she didn't mind. She glanced back to Kyran when he asked Nanashi if he could tell them what he said, at first thinking he was talking to her. She looked at Nanashi as he looked around, judging by his hesitation that he was uncomfortable translating it for them. When he finally told them her eyes softened and then started to water again before she looked down to her hand in his again. No wonder he was clinging to her. "...I wont go anywhere." she said softly, stroking his hair again with her other hand. She was used to playing mother hen, she didn't mind pretending for him while he was asleep.

Aamori sighed after hearing Kanone say that was his fault. She watched as he sank down in the chair and then shook her head lightly. "Well, at least this family is quick to accept the blame for things." She said quietly as she sat down on her knees and then scooted a little closer to him. "...I know you didn't mean to say it." She paused. "I understand, you were upset and Celestine just happened to be in the line of fire..." She said quietly. She lifted her hand and took hold of his wrist lightly and tugged on it. "I think if you talk to him, once he comes around... You might be able to fix things. And I think he needs to hear you tell him that it isn't his fault." She paused and sighed softly. "I tried to tell him that, but he just shook his head..." She looked at him and smiled weakly. "You, Celestine and Marius are going to need one another to get through this. So you need to make sure you haven't alienated Celestine." She said softly.
Kyran looked back over at Celestine after Nanashi told them what he had said and then shook his head lightly with a soft sigh. Somehow he felt like he should've been able to guess that just after everything that had gone on today. He smiled faintly hearing Hikari telling him she wouldn't leave. He shook his head again lightly trying to suppress a small laugh. Seeing her pretending to be his mother while he was sleep only brought back the previous memories of when Celestine flipped out because both he and Hikari had been treating him like a child and here she was pretending. If he was awake right now he couldn't help thinking he would probably be a little peeved, of course after a slight embarrassment. He glanced over to Nanashi finally. "...Thank you for the translation." He paused. "That is actually very useful." He said quietly. "...Hmm... Maybe you and I should leave, Nanashi. So we can let Celestine sleep."

Kanone resisted the tug on his wrist for a moment, but by the third dug he finally let it go and dropped his hand, slowly turning his only visible eye over to face her. He stared at her in silence, though of course her words made sense to him. He sighed and nodded weakly to her. "...Yeah....I..I know...." he said in a nearly choked voice. He knew that he needed to talk to Celestine soon, though he blinked when she said when he comes around. He hadn't even noticed Kyran carrying him in, he'd been staring at the floor. "...What do you mean...is he...still acting like a vegetable?" he asked dully.
Nanashi looked over to Kyran again when he thanked him and nodded weakly, offering him a pitiful ghost of a smile when he said that the ability was useful. "Sometimes..." he said quietly, in Kyran's native language. He nodded in agreement when he said that they should probably leave the room and then started toward the door slowly. He glanced back once to see if Kyran was coming with him and then continued to the door and out into the hallway though once he got there he looked back again questioningly as if asking where he should go now. He wasn't too sure what to do with himself.
Hikari nodded to the two of them once and then her eyes were right back on Celestine again as she resumed petting him. She leaned down and kissed his forehead lightly and then set back again and rubbed her thumb against his cheek gently. "Everything will be alright..." she said soothingly, just in case he could hear her.

Aamori removed her hand from his wrist once he had finally dropped his hand. She started to set her hand back down into her lap but stopped and took hold of his, giving it a light squeeze while she held onto it. "...I wouldn't say he's 'still' acting that way." She paused. "...After Nanashi and I had spoken to him, he just broke out into uncontrollable sobbing. He cried so hard that he couldn't sit still..." She said quietly and then looked away. "He cried so hard, for such a length of time that he passed out... Not to mention he was really in no state to have gone with you find your mother to begin with..." She with a soft sigh.
Kyran looked at Nanashi a little wide eyed to hear him use his clan's language to respond to him. He hadn't known that Nanashi could speak his language as well. He watched as Nanashi headed out into the hall and then glanced back to Hikari for a moment. "We won't be far, in case you need us for anything." He said quietly before turning to follow after Nanashi. He didn't think that Hikari would need either of them for anything but he couldn't help reassuring her that they'd be close. He stepped out into the hall and looked to Nanashi before starting past him. He thought about going to sit in with LaRae for the time being but when he came to the door he just shook his head lightly. She'd fallen asleep with Nobu laying in her lap and practically over top her legs. He probably should've told Nobu to move earlier, but the thought hadn't crossed his mind. She obviously had gotten stuck there and had just gone to sleep. He turned and headed over to the room Nero had been using and returned to the chair he had sat in before leaning back in the chair to make himself comfortable.

Kanone looked at Aamori again when she squeezed his hand and then sighed softly. "...I know...I wasn't thinking...I should have stopped him..I just wanted to go...before...." he trailed off and shook his head slightly. He let out a shaky sigh and closed his eyes again. "...What...did you guys say to him?" he asked quietly, "...M-mom and I...said nearly everything to him and still couldn't get anything out of him for...nearly a year." He said quietly, "...He was just...mute...he wouldn't get up unless he had to...I'm surprised he even blinked..." he said quietly.
Hikari looked at Kyran for a moment and then nodded slightly, "Alright." she said softly before she went right back to her assumed mothering duty. She just continued to coo quiet reassurances to him as he slept and pet his hair as well as wipe the occasional escaping tear from his face. Apparently he wasn't done crying yet.
Nanashi moved down the hall a little and peeked into the room with LaRae for a moment and then shook his head slightly. He watched where Kyran went and hesitated where he stood for a moment before he slowly, almost timidly, stepped forward and entered the room before he walked over to the bed and sat down rather stiffly with his hands pressed palms down on either side of him against the mattress as if he was ready to get up any minute. He looked at Kyran with the obvious question in his eyes 'do you mind?' He seemed to be waiting for some reassurance before he would relax. At least he seemed comfortable enough with Kyran's company now. He smiled weakly at him. "...Your eyes get pretty big when you're surprised." he said quietly, his obvious statement in a somewhat alien (to him) joking tone.

Aamori shook her head lightly. "I doubt you would have been able to stop him from following you even if you tried." She paused. "Thankfully Kyran's been keeping an eye on him, too." She looked at him and then continued to answer his question. "...Well... I said a prayer I learned, though he shouldn't have been able to understand it. I spoke it in my clans native tongue." She paused. "Then Nanashi... He spoke of a story that Celestine could relate to. Within moments of Nanashi finishing the story, Celestine had started crying." She sighed softly. "But before that, all that Celestine was really doing was sitting there." She started to lower her eyes in the process noticing that she hadn't let go of his hand yet. She finally pulled her hand back and dropped it down into her lap. "...Sorry... I forgot to let go..." She admitted quietly.
Kyran looked over at Nanashi when he came in and sat down on the bed. He shook his head slightly seeing the way he looked at him. "Don't look at me like that. You're allowed to sit anywhere you like, so just relax already." He said lightly with a faint smile. He started to relax a bit more himself and he started to lean his head back. He lifted it back up though when he heard what Nanashi said. He smiled a bit more noticeably. "Yes, well, I'm sure yours do too." He said with a soft laugh. "...So... exactly how many of the languages can you understand and speak in?"

Kanone sighed softly and nodded weakly. "..Yeah...probably not." he agreed. He put up a faint smile when she said that she'd said a prayer and that Nanashi had made him start bawling with a story. "...Wow...must have been some story... I would ask him to tel it but...if it made Celestine crack...I should probably avoid it." he said with a weak laugh. He was trying at least. He glanced down at his hand when she released it and apologized then shook his head. "...Don't worry...I forgot you were holding it." he said simply.
Nanashi smiled slightly at Kyran and relaxed his arms, pulling them away from the bed to rest in his lap. His smile faded slightly when he asked the question and he lowered his eyes in silence as if he wasn't going to answer...or if he was counting. "...Fluently...eight." he said quietly, again speaking to Kyran in his own language flawlessly. "...When I was young, I learned the old language... and then I learned the others based off of it. You remember...a long time ago all dragons spoke the same language, but then as the clans divided and separated that base language changed over the years... All of the clans languages are very similar and easy to understand if you know the root." he said quietly. "...I also know enough Elvish to get by..." he said quietly. He looked a little embarrassed by that. "...I stuck around them for a while...It wasn't hard to pick up." He looked up almost sheepishly, as if he wasn't supposed to know what he knew and he may get in trouble for it. There was no law against knowing another clans language, but it was uncommon and he was just a half breed.
Marius finally managed to drag himself from his bedroom and get back downstairs again. He was wearing normal clothes, similar to what Kanone usually wore; just brown pants and a simply brown shirt with a green belt and soft souled brown shoes. He had puled his silvery hair back in a long ponytail to keep it out of his way. He looked ready to do some work, though his eyes were considerable more red rimmed than they had been when he went upstairs. Hence the delay. He looked over to Nero once he was downstairs again and sighed softly. "...I think...I'm ready." he said quietly.

Aamori looked back to Kanone. "The story roughly, was of a boy who lost his mother and didn't want to cry once she was gone. The boy wound up finding someone he could confide in, an old woman. She convinced the boy that it was okay to cry because his loved one was gone, and that his loved one would always live on in his heart." She paused smiling slightly and then shook her head lightly. "I think I might have to ask Nanashi what that boys name was..." She commented quietly after she had recalled the story. She scooted back a little and then started to get to her feet. She adjusted her skort once she was on her feet again and then looked back at Kanone. She moved over beside him again and then lifted her hand to pat him on top of the head again. She chuckled lightly and pulled her hand back. "..Thought I'd do that again while you were sitting and short enough for me to reach."
Kyran looked at Nanashi at least until he thought he wasn't going to answer him. He started to lean his head back again but like before he wound up lifting it so that he could look at Nanashi again. He just stared at him a bit dumbfounded because he was speaking in the thunder clans native language, and he spoke it so well. He just sat there quietly for a moment before he was able to find the words to speak. He was honestly surprised that Nanashi knew so many languages, and fluently no less. "That... is... quite impressive, Nanashi." He admitted. "I just have to remember you understand my language, and if I have anything personal to say I should just keep it to myself." He said with a soft laugh. Though that was cut short when he thought about it a little more. "...I have a question." He paused with a slightly more serious look on his face. "...Back in Radha, at that temple where Nerian was... Could you read that tablet?" He asked curiously. He had left the last part of that tablet off on purpose when he was reading it the others. And now he was wondering if Nanashi could read the languages as well.
Nero had finally sat back a bit in the chair since Marius hadn't come down the stairs right away like he had originally thought he would. He looked up however once Marius had made it down the stairs and sighed softly as he pushed himself forward in the chair and then to his feet. "You look ready, on the outside at least." He said quietly. "Where are your shovels, and where are you putting her?" He inquired.

Kanone half smiled again. It seemed like he was starting to get some part of his old self back already, though being away from the body probably helped that a bit. "...You still could...he's still here somewhere." he pointed out. He gave her a hint of one of those goofy smiles of his after she patted his head again. "...Enjoy it while you can, shorty." he said in as light a tone as he could muster, though it was still coated with his loss. He couldn't get over this in a day no matter how hard he tried.
Nanashi looked at Kyran smiling shyly before his eyes darted down again when he said that it was impressive. It was hard to hide the secret that he enjoyed any real praise that he could get. He looked back up to his, his smile fading when he asked about the tablet. He shook his head slightly. "...No. You're safe if you write it down." he said quietly, speaking at first in the common language, though in his next sentence he was making sure that only Kyran would understand him. "I learned by listening and watching...but no one ever bothered to teach me how to read....in any language." he said quietly, again looking embarrassed, this time with good reason. "Guess they thought it would be a waste of time... probably was...I've been fine so far." he muttered almost grudgingly, still only talkign to Kyran in case anyone else happened by, though he didn't expect them to. It was obvious that he wanted to learn, but he wouldn't ask anyone to teach him now. He was too old not to know how to read, people would just make fun of him and call him stupid.
Marius nodded slightly. "...Yeah..the inside is still...a little shaky." he admitted quietly, though he nearly flinched at the last part of Nero's question. "...By my son, I suppose." he said quietly, "She would want to be with her mate." He swallowed hard and rather than say anything else he started out the front door and around to the back of the house where he had a small tool shed attached. Once he reached it he tugged it open and just stared at the shovels like it was some kind of taboo object that should never have to be touched. He may have to give up any form or gardening after this. He finally forced himself to reach into the shed and take the shovels' handle to pull it out, knocking the other over in the process and he cringed as the spade clattered against the other tools in the shed, making a loud crashing sound that lasted for a few seconds.

Aamori nodded slightly when he pointed out that she could still ask him what that boys name was. She was seriously thinking about it. "I might have to." She paused. "I just wanted to check on you before I did anything else." She shook her head when he called her 'shorty' and then pouted slightly. "I'm not that short you know." She muttered before lifting her hand again to pat him on the head once more. Though this time she made sure to mess his hair up before pulling her hand back.
Kyran must have looked relieved when he heard that Nanashi hadn't read the tablet. He was rather glad that he couldn't read the languages on the tablet, he would have hated knowing Nanashi knew what he had left out. He was surprised though, as Nanashi continued on, to hear that he couldn't read any of the languages. He looked at him and shook his head lightly. "I'm sorry no one bothered to teach you." He started, making sure to speak back to Nanashi in the thunder clan's tongue. Obviously Nanashi hadn't wanted to share with anyone else, otherwise he'd speak so everyone else could understand if they happened by. "I don't have the time at current, but after we're done training you to defend yourself I don't mind teaching you how to read the common language at least." He paused. "If there isn't time after that, if you do stay with Minako and I, she and I can take turns teaching you. It's actually really simple to pick up the lettering once you get started." He smiled lightly. "Though, my native tongue is a little more difficult to learn to read... so we could start with just the common."
Nero sighed softly when he noticed Marius flinch at his question. Perhaps that wasn't the most sensitive way to ask that, but he didn't really like to beat around the bush or sugar coat things. He gave a nod when his question was answered, though that only brought another question which he refrained from asking. He wasn't exactly aware of where his son was buried. He watched as Marius headed outside, to get the shovel he assumed. He just stood there, waiting. He would have gone and gotten the shovels himself had Marius told him where they were. He sighed again and stared at the front door for a moment waiting to see Marius come back.

Kanone smiled weakly at her again. "...It's short compared to me." he said simply and then almost laughed when she messed up his hair. Almost, but not quiet. "Hey, now..." he said quietly as he raised his hand to his head and gently tugged the leather thong that held his hair up out of his hair, letting it fall down over his shoulders again. He didn't bother to put it back up. He glanced over to her for a moment and then looked away again. "...Thank you, Aamori..." he said quietly.
Nanashi did catch the relief on his face and tilted his head slightly before he looked away again. He grimaced and looked back to him again with that 'do I really have to?' expression on his face when he mentioned training him to defend himself. He was really good at conveying his emotions though his body language and facial expressions. He was still relaxed, so he obviously still had an open mind to learning, but his face gave way that he still didn't like the idea one bit. He smiled a little when he said that he could teach him and thought for a moment before he nodded, surprisingly enthusiastically. His ruby eyes made him look like a kid with full reign of the candy shop. He was as bad as Hikari. "...I'd like that." he said quietly in the common language.
Marius glanced back finally, only now realizing that Nero wasn't behind him. Well so much for making him carry his own shovel. He finally reached into the shed again and grabbed the other before he closed the shed and started back to the front of the house again and headed for the porch, leaving the shovels leaned against the door. "...I suppose you never played follow the leader." he said quietly, trying to tease. Anything to lighten the mood a little. He glanced down the hall toward the bedroom door....toward the body....and was completely miserable looking again. Maybe he wasn't so ready for this...but he had t do it.

Aamori sighed softly, shaking her head again lightly. "...At least I'm not as short as Celestine." She said with a shrug. "And I have to admit, I'm glad I'm not actually taller then you. That would just make me freakishly tall for a girl." She said suppressing a chuckle. She looked at him and smiled slightly. "Thank you? For what?" She asked before reaching over to mess up his hair again, even with it down.
Kyran laughed softly seeing the look on Nanashi's face when he had mentioned the training. "What, did you think we'd forgotten?" He asked, though not really looking for an answer. "You know, I only learned how to fight and defend myself so that I could protect Minako after my Father started seeing Azami. He had a pretty good idea that something bad could come from them being together and he wanted me to be able to keep her safe." He paused. "I don't like fighting, I never have and I doubt I ever will. But it was necessary in order for me to protect my sister should the need arise." He shook his head lightly. "Though... what good am I doing all the way out here, and when I'm off on other jobs." He muttered quietly. Sometimes he hated leaving Minako alone in that house and so close to some of the hunters routes. Thankfully Taro did frequently check in on her while he was away. He looked back to Nanashi and smiled again hearing that Nanashi would like to be taught. "I'll be sure to keep that between us for now, since you obviously didn't want to share it with everyone."
Nero looked at Marius when he finally came back inside and then shook his head lightly. "I think your age has caught up to you if you're forgetting to tell me we're playing a game." He said trying not to laugh quietly. He stood there and watched as Marius looked down the hall and noticed his feet weren't moving. He sighed and started to move a little closer to him. "Would you rather I go and get her?" He asked quietly seeing that he was obviously having some trouble getting moving.

Kanone finally grinned a little and smacked her hand away. "You're already a freak, no need to add tallness to the list." he said the words with more than obvious fond pestering his only intent in the words. He reached up to take her hand and laced his fingers with hers for a moment. "...Thank you for coming to...check on me." he said quietly and then half smiled, "I think Shimmers got a little sidetracked. " he said indifferently, referring to Hikari. She's said she'd be back in a minute. It had only been thirty or so.
Nanashi lowered his eyes a little when Kyran started talking, though when he finished he nodded in thanks that he wouldn't share the news. "...I had kind of hoped." he said half playfully in response to his rhetorical question. "I try to only play dumb. It's...actually kind of funny seeing people's eyes nearly pop out of their head." he admitted with a quiet chuckle. Yes, he was definitely getting used to Kyran a little. His tone went more serious when he reverted back to the previous topic. "...I know...why you fight Kyran..." he said quietly, "...It's just...a little hard for me to grasp the idea of learning. Up until...well...recently I didn't really have anything to protect but myself. I mean...self-preservation is an instinct and all but...as far fighting something for my life I guess I've just...never really cared what happened." he said and then quickly held up his hands, knowing where it sounded like he was going, "I mean...I'm not suicidal or anything." he said quickly, obviously trying not to head down that road, "...I'm just...not afraid." Funny that the one thing that nearly everyone feared was the one thing that Nanashi wasn't afraid of. "...At least I hadn't been..." he glanced off, "...You guys are really messing with my lifestyle." he said with a half smile, "No one would have missed me before..." He said and then cringed as if he'd made a bad assumption and stepped over some kind of boundary in his head. he shouldn't assume anyone would miss him now. Yes, definitely getting more comfortable with this little group. Maybe a little too much so for his own taste. He finally glanced over to Kyran, waiting for the inevitable words of wisdom or lecture on life. He really could be such a child sometimes.
Marius turned his attention back to Nero when he approached him and then closed his eyes for a moment after he asked his question. It took him nearly half a minute to finally respond. "No...I have her." he said quietly as he opened his eyes and glanced to him. The pain was clear in his emerald eyes, but he was hiding it everywhere else as he turned away from him and started down the hallway. "...The shovels are on the porch." he said quietly as he walked. He finally made his way into the room and over to the bed and almost mechanically tucked the sheet under Sonia before he lifted...what was left of her. He nearly shuddered at the vivid dream memory again. He cocooned her int he sheet carefully and then finally started out the door with her and just as slowly made his way to the front door and out onto the porch. He was trying so hard not to look down.

Aamori moved her hand once Kanone had smacked it away and then stared at him for a moment. "...Hey!" She paused "I am not a freak." She said quietly while pretending like that actually hurt a little. She was quiet for a moment before looking at him with a slightly quirked brow. "So... tell me, how exactly am I already a freak?" She asked curiously. She glanced down to her hand when she felt him lacing their fingers together. Of course that was enough to tint her cheeks light pink. "Oh... well, I was worried about you." She admitted quietly and then lifted her eyes back up from their hands. She couldn't help but chuckle lightly when he referred to Hikari by 'Shimmers'. She nodded her head slightly. "Yes, her and Kyran both get sidetracked easily, apparently."
Kyran leaned his head back slightly and sat there quietly while Nanashi spoke. He couldn't help but laugh softly when Nanashi quickly had to say that he was suicidal. Of course he would've jumped at the opportunity to joke around by asking him if he was honestly looking to get himself killed, but Nanashi managed to save himself a little too quickly for him to say anything. He continued to sit quietly until Nanashi was done and then he looked over at him. "You play dumb huh? I guess it's a good thing that I've had conversations with you before. I might have lost my eyes back in the other room..." He of course referring to when Nanashi surprised him by speaking his native tongue. He sighed softly. "Only 'messing' with your lifestyle? I guess we're not trying hard enough." He said with a faint smile. "I was more hoping for 'changing' or 'changed'." He said jokingly. "And of course you'd be missed." He paused. "If you weren't around I'd have no one to misunderstand what I say..." He said lightly. "In all seriousness though, when friends go away, they are missed." He looked away briefly. "And you can relax, I'm not going to go into a long drawn out lecture or anything. I'm not really in the mood for that right now." He said quietly. "The only thing I've got to say on the topic is that you'd better get your head around this learning to fight thing. There is going to be a time when one of the rest of us may have to put our life in your hands and we'd feel better about doing so if you didn't hesitate to protect us, or yourself." He said and then leaned his head back again, tiredly.
Nero stood there quietly until Marius answered and then told him where the shovels were. He nodded slightly and watched as Marius headed down the hall. He then turned and went for the front door, stepping out onto the porch. He went straight over to the shovels and picked them up together before slinging them up over his shoulders and right behind his neck, making sure to keep his one arm on the handles so they didn't go anywhere. He stood there and waited for Marius. Though he wasn't sure if he was ready to deal with the flow of emotions he had a feeling were going to come from Marius while and after they did this. He sighed softly when Marius finally exited the house with her body in tow. He stood there for a moment before stepping down off of the porch and looking back to him. "...Trying not to look down is only going to make it harder on you when you finally slip up and look down..." He commented quietly. "It's better to look at her now, while you have the chance. Once she's put to rest you'll only have pictures to look at." He said as he looked away. He knew he wasn't exactly wording things nicely, in fact they were blunt and probably hurt a little but he couldn't help that. He just hoped his words weren't going to be held against him after all was said an done. "...So where to...?" He finally asked, since he really had no idea where they were headed.
