Nero merely looked at Marius when he touched his shoulder and tried to soften his expression a little. Though the look on his face turned to pure shock and slight discomfort when Marius hugged him. He just stood there for a moment before the shock slipped away and he sighed softly as he almost doubtfully lifted a hand up to pat on Marius' back briefly. Once Marius had let go of him he just stood there for a moment. "I will. You have my word." He said quietly in response to what Marius had said in his ear. He'd already been keeping an eye on everyone regardless of being asked to, but now he was more inclined to go out of his way to help at least Celestine if need be.
Aamori nearly jumped out of her skin when Kanone dove off the porch and hugged her the way he did. She'd lost her breath in the process of him hugging her so once he'd let her go she was gasping for air. She stood there for a moment until she'd caught her breath and looked up at him with a small smile. "...How about next time you don't take my breath away?" She laughed softly. "If you ever get around to getting out that way, try and bring Kyiri with you. I'm sure she'd like to have her very own giant fish." She paused. "Oh.. and thanks for keeping me entertained. I had a lot of fun." She said with a smile. She was just going to leave it at that but she stepped closer to him, stood on her toes and kissed his cheek lightly before dropping back down onto her feet. "Take care of yourself, Kanone." She said with another smile.

Hikari smiled slightly when Marius hugged Nero and chuckled quietly to herself at his expression. She had a feeling had that been anyone but Marius they probably would have gotten shoved down right then. She thought it was rather sweet of Marius to thank Nero like that again. Though she wasn't so sure that Nero would agree.
Marius smiled that same warm smile at Nero again and nodded. "Thank you." he said softly and then shook his head. And I apologize if I embarrassed you." he said with a soft laugh since he just barely heart Hikari chuckling.
Kanone smiled and laughed, "I bring that hairball you can keep her." He said and then his face went red when she kissed his cheek. He threw his hand up to the back of his head and rubbed it slightly. "Ahh shucks..." he said, looking away from her again.
Celestine looked half ready to beat his head off the side of the house again. "Ahem...are we leaving?" he asked, looking away from Kanone and Aamori, obviously not too crazy about the little exchange there. One could probably say he was a little jealous. He turned around and started to move away from the house so that they would have more room to fly, though he only got a couple of steps before he was stopped.
"...Hey, Kid..." Kanone called after him, waiting for him to stop before he continued, "...You...you are coming back after this trip is over...right?"
Celestine stood there for a long moment without moving and then turned halfway back around and nodded once.
Kanone smiled again. "...Good. We'll be waiting."
Celestine started to turn back around and then sighed and found himself walking back to Kanone and wrapping his arms around him. So much for not looking back.

Nero looked at Marius and shook his head lightly. "I think an old man I may very well never see again is entitled to embarrass me a little without apologizing." He said quietly with a slight hint of humor. Marius had done a decent job of embarrassing him a little, not to mention making him downright uncomfortable. He just really wasn't the touchy feely type.
Aamori laughed softly seeing Kanone's reaction and then glanced over towards Celestine when he interjected his question. She gave a soft sigh and watched as he started to move away from the house. She turned back and looked at Kyran for a moment before she slipped away from Kanone and went over to Kyran. She looked up at Kyran for a moment before tugging on his arm to get him to come down to her level. She didn't want to go asking outright in front of everyone so they could all hear, she was embarrassed enough that her wings were so weak. Once his ear was low enough she of course asked him if he could carry her. She wasn't even going to bother with Celestine because she didn't think he needed to be carrying anyone. Nero was completely out of the question, and she wasn't sure she felt safe letting Nanashi carry her.
Kyran glanced down when he felt tugging on his arm and focused on Aamori. He leaned down since she obviously wanted his ear and then gave a nod after hearing her question. He couldn't very well say no, sometimes he wondered if that word was even in his vocabulary. He stood up straight again and then set his hand down on her shoulder lightly. "Don't worry about it." He said lightly before he pulled his hand back and then walked over to Nero. Since his hands were going to be full with Aamori, that meant he needed someone to carry Nobu. He stopped beside Nero and glanced down at Nobu breifly who had been standing near Nero since he came outside. "Can I talk you into carrying Nobu for awhile?"
Nero looked at Kyran when he stepped over and then glanced down to Nobu after Kyran had asked his question. He'd seen Aamori ask something of Kyran, so he assumed that she asked him to carry her which left Nobu flightless. He sighed and nodded his head. He didn't mind Nobu, at least he wasn't like that damned cat that annoyingly pestered you for attention. If that thing hadn't left him alone he was liable to tether her to the roof of the porch by her stomach with something in her mouth so she couldn't make a noise.

Marius smiled slightly at Nero and the chuckled quietly before he nodded to him again and then backed up so that Kyran could speak with him. He stepped back onto the step again and sighed softly as he glanced over to Celestine and Kanone. He smiled slgihtly at the odd sight of seeing those two being overly affectionate toward one another. Celestine wasn't usually the huggy type with someone around his own age.
Kanone blinked when Celestine hugged him and stared down at him for a moment before he smiled and wrapped his arms around him in return. He gave him a slight squeeze and then sighed, "Take care, Kid." He said lightly.
Celestine sighed and backed up. "Are you ever going to stop calling me kid?" He asked, shaking his head slightly. He looked up at Kanone for a moment and then over to Marius and walked over to him, hugging him again as well. Now that it was time to leave, he really didn't want to. He nuzzled against Marius' chest for a moment and then heaved a heavy sigh as he backed up.
Marius looked down at him and smiled at him as he placed his hand on his shoulder. "We will still be here when you return." he said softly.
Celestine nodded weakly and then forced himself to walk away from them again and back out away from the house to wait. He looked around at the others and then opened his wings, stretching them a bit before they got going. He hadn't used them a whole lot for a little while, so they were still a little stiff.

Kyran walked back over to where he was standing before since Nero so easily agreed to carry Nobu. He had half expected that to be a little harder, it was Nero after all. He watched as Celestine moved away from the house again and started to stretch his wings. He turned to Aamori and smiled slightly. "You've got everything, right?" He asked quietly. When he relieved a nod in response he started to pick her up. He held her like he had the last time he carried her, one arm under her knees and the other around her shoulder. He shifted slightly and then moved away from the house himself as he let his wings fall from his back and open up. He stretched his own wings a bit since he hadn't used them since that rush flight back here. He was glad this flight wasn't going to be like that last one. He looked at Celestine for a moment. "We'll be right behind you, go ahead and take off."
LaRae stood patiently while she waited for everyone to get going. She had for the most part enjoyed herself while they were here but she was ready to move on and this just seemed to be dragging out. When both Celestine and Kyran had moved away from the house and opened up their wings, she had started to step away from the house herself. She wasted very little time opening up her own wings and stretching them out. She was prepared to go whenever they lifted off.
Nero glanced down at Nobu briefly after everyone seemed to be preparing to take off. He sighed softly knowing this was going to be a work out on his arms. Nobu wasn't exactly small after all. He started to step away from the house as well, in the process looking to Marius. "It should go without saying, but take care of yourself too, Marius." He said and then let his wings drop down and then open up. He looked back down at Nobu, who of course had followed him. He was now ready to go whenever they took off, all he had to do was pick up Nobu.

Marius looked back to Nero and gave him a soft smile and nod. "You as well, Nero." he said softly before he returned to the porch, trying to make sure to be well out of everyone's way. He looked over to Kanone for a moment and then turned his eyes to Celestine, watching him prepare to take off.
Celestine glanced over to Kyran and sighed softly before he nodded. He was trying not to look at Kanone or Marius. He took a couple of running steps and then leaped into the air, flapping his wings hard a few times to get going. It was a little painful on his leg when he took off but at least his wings weren't injured. He looked down for a moment and then sighed and turned away from the house and then started to fly back toward the central peek. He couldn't' remember which side exactly that the beach was on, but he could fly higher and check once they got there, or Aamori would probably know. Either way, he had them going in the right general direction.
Nanashi was waiting beside LaRae just as patiently while he waited for the others. He knew it had to be harder for Celestine to leave Marius and Kanone than he was making it look, so he wasn't in too big of a hurry. Once Celestine took off however he waited for Kyran and LaRae to get in the air and then took off right after LaRae, trying to stay as close beside her as he could without their wings getting in each other's way.
Hikari waiting for the other to get ready as well and then waved to Marius and Kanone before she took off quickly after Celestine, stretching her wings as she started to take off. As usual she was trying to get around Kyran, though not too close. Thankfully at least the winds weren't too strong today, though they were still pretty noticeable.

Nero waited until after everyone else had taken off like usual and then looked down at Nobu before pushing on the back of the canine's head and telling him to start running. After Nobu started out he took a few running steps and flapped his wings hard to get into the air and then reached down to grab Nobu before he started to gain height. He tightened his hold around Nobu a bit once he got the canine off the ground. He shook his head as he started after the others. "...For a herbivore you sure do weigh a ton..." He muttered under his breath.
Kyran looked over to Hikari when she got around him and then smiled before turning his head back ahead of himself. He glanced down at Aamori briefly, finally thinking to ask her the question that he'd been asking everyone but her. He sighed quietly. "So, Aamori." He started. "By chance, have you thought at all about where your relic might be?" He was really hoping that she had, because that would make things a little easier. Or so he thought since that would mean they had a place to look.
Aamori was being quiet while she held onto Kyran. She didn't mind so much being carried but she still had a fear of falling. She lifted her head and looked up at him when she heard his question. She stared at him for a moment and then lowered her head again. "...No. I haven't thought about it." She admitted quietly. She really hadn't thought about it at all since the first day at the festival and even then it was only a brief passing thought. She couldn't begin to imagine where the relic could possibly be. "...There is more ocean than there are islands..." She paused. "For all I know the relic could be at the bottom of the ocean..." She said with a heavy sigh.

Celestine glanced back one more time to make sure that everyone was within sight and then continued forward silently. He sighed softly and then glanced up when he heard an eagle's cry. He shook his head, almost smiling when he saw Lani flying above and to the right of him. As far as he knew they had two mountains to cross over before they got there...so if they kept up a decent pace and didn't stop they should be there before dark, though he wasn't positive that they weren't going to make him stop and rest for a bit. He just wanted to get there and get it over with.
Hikari smiled back at Kyran and then looked ahead at Celestine. She knew he was doing better and all, but she still didn't really want him exerting himself too much, so she wasn't too crazy about him flying all the way to the pier. It was an easy flight most days but she was afraid it might be hard on him. After all just two days ago he couldn't even walk on his own. She blinked when she noticed that he was finally wearing shoes and smiled slightly. They were just soft-soled leather moccasins that went well with his current outfit. She assumed Marius must have thought that he was going to need something on his feet since he was going to be in unfamiliar territory.
Nanashi glanced behind him again to see how Nero was doing with Nobu. He felt kind of sorry for the guy having to carry that massive hound. He slowed down a little , letting LaRae pull ahead of him, and dropped back to fly near Nero for a minute. "Are you alright with him?" he asked, just wanting to make sure. He didn't really know how he could help if he wasn't, but he would certainly try. He could probably carry Nobu if he really tried, but he doubted he could carry him for too long at a time.

Kyran looked back down at Aamori when she mentioned that the relic could be at the bottom of the ocean. He just kind of stared at her with a look on his face that probably shouted 'please tell me you're joking'. He couldn't begin to imagine how they could possibly go about getting to the darn thing if it was indeed in the ocean somewhere. Let alone, how could you even pin-point it's exact whereabouts if the water is always moving. He heaved a heavy sigh as he lifted his head back up so he could focus on where he was flying.
Aamori glanced back up at Kyran, noticing the look on his face. She sighed softly. "That's just one of several possibilities." She said quietly. She wasn't really sure what the other possibilities were yet, but she guessed there were others. She really wouldn't know until she got to ask around a little. Then again, she wasn't even sure who to ask. She doubted her parents would know anything about it. Her brother would probably be useless on the matter and Hisako would be too busy trying to squeeze training in to answer anything. Then on top of everything she didn't think her Elder knew anything and even if she did, would she even say? She sighed heavily and leaned her head against Kyran. She wished that these relics whereabouts were well known, that would just make everything so much easier.
Nero continued after the others, periodically shifting his glance between where he was flying and down to Nobu. He looked over at Nanashi however when he noticed his dropping back to where he was. He just kind of stared at him for a moment after hearing his question. He nodded his head. "Yes. I've got him." He answered as he looked back the direction they were flying. Nobu was indeed pretty heavy, but it wasn't anything that he didn't think he could handle. Hell, if Kyran could carry the damn canine then so could he; As far as he was concerned.

Nanashi smiled weakly and his ears fell back slightly when he saw the way that Nero looked at him before he answered the question. Maybe he shouldn't have asked. "Um...a-alright." he said quietly. He continued to fly by Nero for just a moment before he sped up a little to catch up with LaRae again and then sighed quietly.
Celestine continued onward, hardly even taking time to look behind him at all as he flew. It was nearly an hour before suck before they finally got near where they were going and Celestine slowed up. He was already near exhausted again and it was starting to show a little. He was trying to glide more than fly and even at that he wasn't as steady as he had been starting out. Once they got nearer to the central peek he glanced back tot he others, "Hold on a minute." He said before he flew higher to the point that he could see over the entire plane. He saw which direction the pier was in and then came back down and started heading slightly east of the direction they had been flying. Once they got close to the beached he finally started down and landed in a crouch just at the edge of the sand, though once he was down he didn't bother to stand again, he just knelt there trying to catch his breath as his wings fell behind him for now.
Hikari had taken to flying a little closer to Celestine as the day dragged on and was quite obviously watching him closely. She bit her lip when he flew up higher without them and stopped to hover where she was until he came back down, then she was right after him again. She landed a few feet away from him once they got to their destination and sighed softly, glancing over to him. She half wanted to go hug him. He just looked worn out.

Kyran continued to follow not too far behind Celestine throughout the time they were flying. He had noticed how warn out that he was getting but he couldn't do anything more than just watch him since he was carrying Aamori. Thankfully though he managed to make it until they neared the beaches. After Celestine and Hikari descended too, a little farther ahead of them into the sand itself by direction of Aamori. When his feet hit the sand he staggered forward a few feet. He wasn't quite prepared for the feeling of landing in the sand. He sighed softly as his wings flapped shut behind him and then he let Aamori down from his arms and turned back to look over at Celestine.
LaRae started to land not too far from where Kyran had. Though she noticed on her way down how he staggered forward and thought to ease into the landing rather than just drop down as she normally would have. Once she was on the ground she stretched her wings a bit and then shut them tightly behind her. She turned back to look over at Celestine for a moment but rather quickly found herself looking around at all the sand.
Nero was pretty tired himself by the time they started to land. Nobu's dead weight had locked up his arms and he barely moved them an inch the whole time he was carrying the canine. When he started to land he set Nobu down first and then set himself down, shutting his wings behind him. As soon as his arms were free of Nobu he started stretching them while ignoring the loud popping and cracking coming from his elbows and shoulders. He sighed and looked down at Nobu for a moment before patting him on the head.
Aamori stretched a little herself once Kyran put her down. She was rather happy to feel the sand between her toes again. She had grown a bit homesick just from the couple weeks that she had been away. She was so excited about being back in Kairava that she had nearly forgotten how tired Celestine must have been from flying all that way. She finally turned around and looked over at him. She stood there for a few moments before walking over to where he was and squatting down. "Are you going to be okay?"

Nanashi landed just ahead of LaRae. he slowed himself down and then leaned back a little as he went to land so that at least if he fell he would land on his butt instead of his face. Thankfully though he was able to keep his feet planted. He sighed softly and looked down at the sand, pushing some aside with his foot. They was going to be seeing so much sand in Cináed that he was sure they would all be sick of it by the time they got out of there. He looked up after a moment and glanced back to Celestine again, shaking his head slightly before he glanced at Nero. He thought about saying something to him...and then thought better of it and just turned to look toward the water.
Celestine looked up to Aamori when she came to him and nodded to her. "...I...I'm...fine..." he said after a few minutes. He was mostly just winded. He folded h is wings against his back again and then slowly started to push himself up, thought he swayed slightly when he stood and had to back-step a little to keep him balance. He was shaking a little from trying to continue moving, but he was sure he would have plenty of time to rest once they were on the boat. He took a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before letting it out slowly and trying to get a hold on his breathing again.
Hikari watched Celestine for a moment and then sighed softly. "...Be careful..." she said quietly before she started over to where Kyran was standing. She smiled slightly and leaned her head against his arm for a second," Well just in time to watch the sunset." she said lightly. Well they still had about 45 minutes or so to go, but it was still pretty close.

Kyran glanced down at Hikari when she came over to him and leaned her head against him for a second. He smiled and then looked at the sky briefly. "The sunsets here, by far, I think are the best." He said lightly. The view over the water was quite breathtaking, especially when you were on the boat and all you could see was water everywhere you looked. He sighed softly and then glanced back to look at Aamori. "...The one time I was here, the boats ran on a schedule..." He paused. "Has that changed at all?" He asked slightly concerned. If his memory served him right the boats were done leaving the pier until morning.
Aamori gave a slight nod when Celestine said he was fine. She stood back up straight and stretched her arms over her head a little as she spun around in the sand and started to walk back towards Kyran since he'd asked her a question. She stepped over to the other side of him and looked up at him for a moment before looking towards the water. "Yes, they still run on that same schedule. But I can probably talk them into one more run." She uttered with a small sigh. "Besides, there isn't anything on this side of the water other then the guards little office and bunk, so there is no where to sleep for the night but in the sand... and well... I'd rather not sleep in the sand unless I have to."

Hikari smiled slightly at what Kyran said about the sunsets and then looked over to Aamori when she came back over to them. "Haha...Neither would I..." she admitted, "I would never get it all out of my hair." It was bad enough trying to detangle leaves from her hair.
Celestine sighed softly when Aamori wandered off. Well at least she took enough time to ask. He could tell that she was pretty excited about getting to ho home so he just remained quiet and let her enjoy herself. He wandered over to where Nero and Nobu were and just sat down near Nero since he was the least likely person to yap at him. He just reached over to Nobu and rubbed the top of his head while he waited for the others to get a move on.
Nanashi sighed softly and looked over to LaRae with a slight smile before he glanced back to see Celestine walking over toward Nero. That usually meant he didn't want to be bothered. He half smiled and just looked away again. He glanced around for a minute, wondering where that eagle had gone, then he noticed her perched in a tree before the beach started.

Aamori stood there for a moment longer before turning back to Hikari and Kyran. "Well, before it gets any later I guess I'll go check on a boat." She said and then started walking towards the pier. The pier wasn't all that far from where they had landed and you could see it easily from where she had been standing. The pier itself was flanked by two small stone buildings that the large gate connected to. When she came upon the gate at the pier the guard standing there was already preparing to lock it up. She rushed over to the gate and put her hand over the lock to keep the guard from locking it up. "Wait! We need a boat." She said as she looked up at the guard.
The guard just stared at Aamori like she was crazy and shoved her hand out of the way to continue on with locking the gate. "I'm sorry miss, but the boats aren't setting sail again until morning. You should know that, seeing as your from our clan." He said as he finished locking up the gate.
Aamori pulled her hand back when he shoved it out of the way and stared at him after he locked the gate up. She hadn't thought about it right away, but she wasn't in her usual clothing so of course she didn't look like an Elder in training. She just happened to look like some common girl and without the special symbol on her clothes of course the guard didn't recognize her. She sighed heavily and looked up at him. "Just open the gate." She said as she reached down to her holster and unbuckled her staff and then lifting it up and holding it out so the guard could see it. "You know that this grants me access to things commoners can't." She said almost smugly as she watched the guard fumbling around to get the gate unlocked.
"I do apologize miss. I didn't recognize you in those clothes." He said quickly once the gate was unlocked and opened up. He stepped aside and extended his arm inviting her in. "...You said you needed a boat, miss?" He asked at her again.
Aamori looked at the guard and smiled a bit once he got the gate opened again and then started to slip her staff back into her holster, buckling it up tight. She then stepped through the gate onto the the start of the pier. She turned back slightly and looked at the guard again. "Yes. I need a boat for me and my friends." She said as she pointed back to the others.
Kyran of course had started to follow after Aamori when she started for the pier. He stopped a few feet back from her when she reached the gate and saw that the guard was giving her a little hassle. He sighed softly when it looked like the guard wasn't going to let her in but quirked a brow when she took out her staff and the guards whole demeanor changed. He had suspected that Aamori was an Elder of some sort just by hearing her voice those few times he had. It reminded him of the Elder he had met briefly the one time he came here on business. But now, seeing her get access so easily kind of reinforced his suspicion. He wasn't one hundred percent certain that she was an Elder but he knew she was special. Once the guard stepped aside and allowed them access to the pier he stepped in and stood off to the side a little of Aamori.
LaRae glanced over at Nanashi briefly before she noticed Aamori had started off towards the pier. She started to follow after her seeing as Kyran had started to, also. She was a bit surprised to see how the guard let her through so easily after just flashing her staff at him. She of course wanted to ask Aamori about that but thought she'd hold her question for now. After Kyran followed Aamori in side the gate she followed too seeing as the guard was kind of in a hurry to lock the gate up again.
Nero looked down at Celestine when he came over and sat down near him. He thought briefly to ask him how he was feeling but kept his mouth shut. As soon as the others started moving he started to, too. Following behind them with Nobu not that far behind.

Hikari followed after Kyran and watched as Aamori went to the gate and the guard locked it up on her. She wasn't surprised that flashing her staff got the gate open quickly. After all people were the same way with her when she was out and about out until her hair blew out of her face and showed that gaudy gem. She sighed softly and followed Kyran through the gate once Aamori went inside and then stood beside him to wait on the others.
Nanashi watched as Aamori went to the gate and then finally started forward when he realized that LaRae was moving ahead. He walked up behind her and then paused slightly, glancing almost nervously at the guard before he started through the gate after LaRae. He wasn't too sure what that was all about with the staff but he didn't really care. He wasn't really looking forward to this leg of the journey.
Celestine sighed heavily when everyone started for the gate and left him sitting there. He pushed himself up again and dusted himself off as little as he walked to the gate and slipped inside after Nero and Nobu. He just stood there tiredly, staring out at the water. Now he only hoped this wasn't going to be some dingy little boat that would be in danger of flipping if you moved the wrong way. He hadn't actually gotten around to looking at the boats yet.

The guard watched as Aamori passed through and then looked back past the gate when she pointed and said something about her friends. He hadn't been paying attention to anyone other than her at the time so he was quite surprised to see who she was pointing to. He continued to watch as they passed through the gate. If they were with her, then he couldn't very well complain about it. Though he wasn't too thrilled about letting a half breed from the fire clan into their territory, and so easily no less. After they had all passed through the gate be proceeded to lock up the gate and then walk back over to Aamori. "Any particular size boat, miss?"
Aamori looked back up at the guard when he came back over. "Um... It doesn't really matter I guess. Which ever is available right now, so long as it's not too small." She answered as she started to walk a little closer to where the docks were. She really did miss the sea air and with the gentle breeze it sure was calming. She shifted her glance and looked down at the different docks to see which boats had ended up on this side of the two piers. She wasn't surprised to see that the largest wasn't here and there was only one of the medium sized left and the rest were small boats that could probably hold about ten to fifteen people. The mediums held nearly twenty five people easily and the larger, well they could hold up to fifty. If anything the boats for more like yachts.
The guard nodded and then bowed slightly before slipping off into the one office building. He had disappeared inside for nearly ten minutes while he went back and forth with the only person who could steer the boats that was left on this side. The guy was objecting to doing another run this late even for an Elder. Not to mention he'd have to come all the way back by himself and the ride was about an hour and a half long just one way. The guard finally shoved the guy out of the office and threw the keys at him before slamming the office door shut. The guy sighed heavily and then glanced around at the odd grouping of people with a rather embarrassed look his face as he then stepped over towards Aamori. He stopped beside her and bowed his head slightly before speaking. "You're going to the main island, correct?" He asked as he took the keys and then started over to the medium sized boat. He went straight from the dock and jumped from a ramp onto the back of the yacht-style boat. He went to the back of the boat and put the loading ramp down so that they could board the boat easier then he had. He waved them on and then started to head for deck with the wheel to get the boat started.
Aamori looked up when the other guy came over to her she nodded when he asked if she was going to the main island and then watched as he went to let the ramp down for the rest of them. She could tell just how upset the guy was with having to do this for her so late. He hadn't exactly been very pleasant with the tone he used and then he hadn't bothered to wait for any of them to get on the boat before he vanished. She sighed softly and turned slightly to look at the others. "We've got a boat." She said as she pointed over to the boat that's engine was starting up. She then started over to the boat and headed up the ramp to wait for the others to board.
Kyran continued to stand there for a moment and watched as the guard slipped into the office. He started to move over towards the docks himself, just to have a look though he turned his head back when he heard the door open to the office. He sighed softly after the exchange between the guard and the guy who controlled the boat. He felt like such an inconvenience now since the guy obviously didn't want to take the boat out at a time like this. Once the guy had lowered the ramp and Aamori started for it he followed himself. He stepped up the ramp and onto the boat. He was a little surprised that for the seven of them they were taking such a big boat. In the center of the boat was a room that was made to seat people and then above that was deck for the guy to steer from. Then the deck he was standing on went all the way around the boat with a few benches that lined the center room but left room for the doors that opened on either side. He was almost certain that there was even a lower deck, but surely that was closed off to them since the boat had been shut tight for the night. He continued to stand there for a moment before he moved over to the edge of the boat and looked out at the water.
LaRae looked to Nanashi once they were though the gate and smiled lightly before watching as the guard went into the office. She continued to stand where she was until the other guy got forced out of the office. She wasn't sure what the problem was with taking the boat out with night approaching but this guy obviously just didn't want to do it. She sighed softly and then started over to the boat herself after Aamori and Kyran got aboard. Once she was aboard she kind of stared in awe for a moment before she went to the other side of the boat and peered over the edge.
Nero stood there quietly while he waited to be able to get on the boat. He for the most part completely ignored everything that was going on up until the guy was forced out of the office and the door was slammed. He glanced over to Celestine for a moment and then looked at Nobu before he too followed after the others to get aboard the boat. He stopped however half way up the ramp and waited for Nobu and Celestine to get on board. Nobu of course started after Nero and climbed up onto the boat and went to lay down on the deck right behind the room in the center of the boat.

Hikari just stood there staring off at the water until she heard the ruckus that the one who would be driving them was making. She blinked and stared at him for a moment and then shook her head slightly before she started for the ramp after Kyran. She felt a little sorry for keeping the guy out a little late, but she really didn't see what the big deal was. There wasn't anywhere else for them to stay over here. Once on the boat she looked around and blinked. "Wow...fancy." she commented quietly before she went to go stand beside Kyran. Of course that was the first place that she was going to go.
Nanashi watched the little scene unfold in front of the office and shook his head before he followed LaRae, yet again, when she started up the ramp. His eyes wandered around the boat for a moment before he followed her to the side. He watched her and laughed softly when she leaned over the side to look down. "Don't lean over too far." he said with a soft laugh, "I don't want to fish you out of the sea."
Celestine was just standing there half out of it while the other man was shoved out of the office. He barely even registered when the others started over to the boat but once he realized he was getting left again he started moving, walking rather fast to catch up with them. He sighed softly as he started up the ramp and then cast a questioning glance to Nero when he realized that he'd stopped to wait. He didn't look so bad off that the guy thought he was going to fall off the ramp did he? Unfortunately when his feet came into contact with the boat the slight rocking made him latch onto the rail to keep from losing his balance. He shook his head and let go then quickly walked over to the bench closest to where Nobu had laid down to sit down himself. He just sighed and leaned his head back against the wall behind him, letting his eyes fall shut.

Nero had only waited on Celestine to make sure that he was actually coming and then to help if needed. Since Celestine looked so tired and had sat himself down in the sand like he had before he was just keeping an eye on him. Not to mention he'd been asked to do so. Once everyone was on board he headed the rest of the way up the ramp. He paused and looked over the gears for a second before pulling on one of several little levers that were at the end of the boat. Once the lever was down the ramp started to pull itself up and shift tightly back into place. He stood there for a moment before he started to walk towards the front of the boat, though he stopped at a bench about three fourths of the way there and sat down. He'd never really been on a boat like this and he'd gathered just from it sitting at dock that he'd have no luck walking once this thing got moving. He'd probably make a fool of himself and fall flat on his face as his legs swayed beneath him. So he definitely planned to sit this leg of the trip out.
After everyone was loaded the driver leaped down from the uppermost deck and started back towards the back of the boat. He stopped when he came upon the loading ramp already up and in place. He stared at it for a moment before he stepped closer and double checked it to make sure it was indeed in place correctly. He turned back around and started to head back to the ladder to go back up top but he paused near Aamori. "...Make sure that they're all ready. I'm about to leave the dock." He muttered and then hurried over to the ladder and went straight back up to the wheel.
Aamori stared at the guy after he was done speaking to her and shook her head in disbelief. She was aware that he didn't like the idea of taking the boat out this late but he could talk to her a little nicer. She sighed and then looked around at the others. She was pretty sure that it went without saying, especially since the driver had said what he did loud enough that she thought the others might have heard him. She stood for a moment longer before she walked over to the same side of the boat that Hikari and Kyran were on only a few feet down from them and then braced herself against the railing. She was aware of the reasoning for why the guy didn't want to take the boat out but honestly, the chances of that happening were the same chances as there being a snow storm in Kairava.
Kyran looked down to Hikari when she came over to stand beside him. He smiled at her and then glanced back when he heard the driver say that he was about to leave. He didn't really see where it was neccessary for Aamori to go around telling everyone since the guy had clearly spoken loud enough for most of them to hear. He shook his head lightly. The guy obviously had a slight problem with driving the lot of them to the island, on top of what ever it was that made him not want to take the boat out this late. He then looked over to Aamori when she came over to the side of the boat that he was on. "...It might not be any of my business, but what's the deal with that guy? I mean... why is he so upset about taking the boat out?" He was curious of course, and he was sure some of the others might have been as well.
Aamori turned slightly and looked over at Kyran when he asked his question. She heaved a heavy sigh and looked back over the water. "It's not common knowledge I guess..." She started. "But the waters around here are particularity dangerous as it gets darker out. Especially over the deeper parts of the ocean." She paused. "That guy, like most of the people here who man the boats are afraid of the over grown sharks that hunt mostly at night. There aren't very many of the big sharks left, but they're incredibly large and quite persistent." She gave another sigh and turned slightly to put her back against the railing. "If I had to guess the average size of one of them, I'd say at full size, they easily are about a third the size of this boat. So... two or more of them spot this boat and it'll go down quite easily..." She said quietly.
LaRae stood up straight and looked over at Nanashi and smiled a bit. "Are you sure?" She paused. "I think it might be fun." She said jokingly. Her attention was snagged pretty easily when the driver spoke to Aamori. She sighed after hearing what the guy said. She picked up on the same thing that Kyran had; The guy had a problem with more than just taking the boat out. She watched for a moment as Aamori went to the other side of the boat. She didn't bother keeping an ear out after that and she went right back to looking out at the water.
The driver wasted very little time after that in getting this trip underway. Within minutes after Aamori had started explaining about the sharks the boat had jerked slightly as it started to pull away from the docks and head out to sea.

Hikari turned her head back slightly when she heard the driver telling Aamori to make sure they were all ready and then shook her head, pretty sure that he'd just done that himself. She shook her head and then crossed her arms on the rail and tilted her head down to look at the water, at least until she heard Kyran ask what she was been half pondering herself. "...Sharks?" She made a face, "You know sand isn't that hard to get out of my hair..." she said, though they were already moving out of the docks. Obviously she would have changed her voice about sleeping in the sand if she'd been told about the giant killer sharks before hand. Oh well...not much she could do about it now but jump ship and fly back to port.
Nanashi shook his head slightly at LaRae and then glanced back when he heard the driver speaking. He just reached over and held onto the rail with both hands to make sure that he wasn't going to fall over when the boat started moving. He looked at LaRae again and shook his head. "You know you have no idea what's lurking beneath those waves..." he said with a soft smile. "Something may think you look like a tasty snack." he said with a soft laugh, though had he heard what Aamori was telling Kyran on the other side of the boat he definitely wouldn't have been laughing. He felt a slight jerk when the boat started out and he clung to the rail a little more tightly, closing his eyes for a second as he tried to settle his stomach. He swallowed hard, "Oh boy...leave it to me..." he muttered under his breath. He just knew he wasn't going to make it to those islands with his lunch.
Celestine heard the driver speaking to Aamori, but he didn't even bother to opened his eyes. He was already sitting down, he couldn't get much more ready than that. He was still tired so if he didn't have to, he didn't intend to get up and move around at all. Honestly someone may have to wake him up when they got there. He wasn't really listening to the exchange between Kyran and Aamori...mainly because he was already on the edge of sleep.

Kyran just stared at Aamori when she started talking about the sharks. Well now, that made sense as to why the guy didn't want to take the boat out at night. He couldn't blame the guy and the trip now, didn't quite sound as pleasant as first thought. He was about at the same thought as Hikari, sleeping in the sand did sound better. He shook his head slightly and looked at the water for a moment now that they were completely away from the dock. He glanced back over to Aamori. "What is the likelihood that we'll run into any of those sharks?"
Aamori looked over at Hikari when she said that sand wasn't that hard to get out of her hair and she smiled a little. Somehow she didn't really think the news of sharks would really unsettle anyone, but that was probably because she was used to them. Or at least used to knowing about them. She glanced up at Kyran when he asked about the likelihood of running into them. She shrugged slightly. "I couldn't really say. This is the first time I've been on a boat at night like this. And I've never even seen the sharks myself." She paused and turned back around looking at the water since they'd pulled out to sea. "I've only heard the stories... Then when the Elders had enough with the shark attacks they issued a ban on setting sail after a certain time just before night. If the last boat couldn't make it back to the pier back there before sunset then they were to stay at the other pier until morning." She paused. "Us being allowed to cross tonight, is really asking a lot..." She said quietly. She was almost certain that she'd get into trouble for this later because she knew better than to chatter a boat at a time like this and with the ban still in place.
LaRae lifted her eyes and looked over at Nanashi when he spoke again and laughed softly. "I don't think whatever is down there will find an earth dragon very tasty." She said as she started to look back out at the water since they were now far enough from the docks that they couldn't be seen anymore.
As they pulled further and further away from the pier and out into deeper water it wouldn't be long until there was a chance of catching sight of the sharks fins in the distance as they swam around. The chances of the sharks coming together and noticing the boat were slim, but the possibility was still there. For now, at least, the boat had managed to go unnoticed.

Hikari shook her head slightly and then sighed heavily. She definitely wasn't too thrilled about being out here at night. "...Aamori...dear....you really should have told us about this before... I don't think sleeping in a bed is worth potentially getting eaten..." She looked down at the water again rather uneasily and then backed away from the rail a little, trying to keep her feet planted so that she didn't go swaying all over the place. She had been on a boat once or twice before so she wasn't completely foreign to the feeling of the boat moving under her feet. She may be a princess but she had her priorities in a pretty good order: she would rather be safe than comfortable. She guessed as long as the rest of the trip went smoothly they would be alright, but she wasn't going to pass off the possibility just because chances were slim. If there was a chance at all she was going to focus on that. "If they did attack what are we going to do about it?" she asked finally. She'd at least like to think this thing had a...harpoon or something.
Nanashi laughed softly at LaRae and shook his head, though the action caused his stomach to lurch again. He threw his hand over his mouth and closed his eyes, swallowing hard. "...I...th-think I'm going to go...sit down..." he said quietly after he lowered his hand. He turned around and walked rather unsteadily back to the bench and sank down on to, trying to keep the back of his hand pressed to his mouth to suppress his gag reflex.

Aamori gave a slight nervous laugh as she looked back over at Hikari. "Honestly, it slipped my mind." She said as she tapped her fingers across the railing. She had completely focused on the actual action of getting the boat that she didn't even bother with thinking about the dangers of the ride. Now that she was thinking about it though, it probably would've been safer for everyone to have stayed on the other side until morning or to have had at least another two water dragons on board. She sighed softly after hearing Hikari's last question. "Um... I guess I'll try and take care of them if any happen upon the boat." She answered. She'd never dealt with anything quite their size but it couldn't possibly be all that hard, could it?
Kyran sighed heavily after listening to Aamori answer Hikari's question. He turned around and leaned back against the railing with his hands grasped tightly to the rail. He was just a little stunned that Aamori seriously hadn't thought about their safety first, rather than where they were going to sleep tonight. He shook his head and just shut his eyes. He was a bit worried himself after hearing everything and wished there was more to fall back on than Aamori should any sharks attack. She sounded so unsure of herself when she said she'd try and take care of it should anything happen.
LaRae turned slightly when Nanashi said he was going to sit down and then watched as he went over to sit down on the bench. She guessed by the way he was sitting there that his stomach wasn't agreeing with the motion of the boat. She offered a slight smile and then turned back around to continue to look out over the water as the boat continued on. She hadn't ever been on a boat before so she was really enjoying this, though she had the forethought not to try and move around too much. She could just see herself trying to walk somewhere and smack her face into the deck. She kept watching the water for a bit as they neared the half way point and something caught her eye. She leaned over the edge a little and looked down just in time to catch was obviously looked like a rather large fin submerge itself as it went under the boat. She quirked her brow. "Um..." She started to turn her head back to say something more and before she could the boat jerked to the side so hard that she fell back on her rear and started sliding backwards on the deck until the boat straightened up.
Kyran's eyes shot open when the boat jerked and he tightened his grip even more on the railing, then his tail uncurled and latched onto it too, just to keep himself from falling right over the edge and into the water. His breath had caught in his throat and as soon as the boat straightened back up he almost immediately stared over at Aamori with a less then happy look on his face.
Nero barely moved when the boat jerked. He'd pushed his feet down and pressed his back against the bench when he felt the boat move. At most he'd slid forward a bit on the bench until the boat straightened up. He opened his eyes a crack and looked around briefly. The boat didn't jerk again so he shut his eyes and tried to relax again.

Hikari shook her head when Aamori said that she would try to take care of it. Honestly she realized that Aamori was still pretty young, but she was only a couple of years younger than her and still should have the sense to think things like this through. She sighed, "Aamori..." she started and then she cut herself off as the boat jerked. The next thing that she knew her face collided with the deck right at Kyran's feet with her hands thrown out where she had tried to catch herself on the rail and missed. She slid forward a few inches until her head came into contact with Kyran's foot and her hands were hanging over the side of the boat. She was alright at standing but she wasn't good enough to stay steady through that. As soon as the boat started to straighten up she jerked her hands back and scurried away from the edge on her hands and knees, quickly planting herself firmly on the bench near Nero, looking half ready to start hyperventilating.
Celestine yelped in surprise when the boat suddenly tipped and threw him off of the bench where he was sitting, right on top of Nobu. At least Nobu was lucky that Celestine was easily the lightest member of the group, though bony as he was that still probably hurt. He sat up off of him as quickly as he could and looked around. "What the!?" He looked down at Nobu, "I'm sorry, are you alright!?" he asked quickly when he realized why his landing was so soft.
Nanashi sat up straight and gasped when he noticed LaRae falling, though half a second later he was being thrown against the wall, which forced his stomach contents into his throat. He threw his hand over his mouth and then dove off of the bench and scrambled toward the back of the boat to the rail and latched onto it for dear life as he leaned over the side. He was glad that he'd at least been able to make it a small distance from LaRae before he did that...and that he'd actually made it to the rail. He gasped and backed away from the rail then just...flopping on his tail right there in the middle of the deck. "Wh...what the heck....was that!?" he asked weakly to no one in particular.

Aamori was flung forward into the railing when the boat jerked and she nearly spilled over the side. Had her feet not caught on the bottom rung of the railing she'd be in the water right now. She stared wide eyed over the side of the boat as it started to straighten up and nearly choked on her own breath when she saw the fin come up from the water on the side of the boat she was on. She stared at it as it swam off a small distance and then submerged itself again. She straightened herself up and stood there for a moment longer waiting to see the fin again and when she didn't she thought it safe to turn around since the shark looked like it was leaving. Though she really didn't want to turn around, not after talking to Hikari and Kyran about the sharks before. She was really hoping that this was going to be a smooth ride without any disturbances from the sharks. She started to look over at Kyran and when she saw the look on his face she lowered her eyes right away. She'd rarely ever seen Kyran with anything other than a smile so seeing him looking at her like that made her feel worse then she already did. She stood there for a bit longer before she wound up sitting down and dangling her legs over the side of the boat, while hooking her arms over the middle rung.
Nobu had been just laying there when the boat jerked and he'd pressed his claws against the wood of the deck immediately when he felt himself slipping a little. He let out a yelp followed by a low whine when Celestine landed on him. He'd kind of wished he'd just let himself slip across the deck, he might have been able to save himself from being fallen on. His back was definitely going to be bothering him for a little while. He lifted up his head after a few moments and gave another low whine before looking at Celestine. '...I'll ...be fine.' He finally answered and then dropped his head back down.
Kyran slowly started to pry himself off the railing when he felt safe enough to do so. Since the boat didn't appear to be jerking anymore he released his tail from the rail and then lifted his hands up. He put his hand over his chest for a moment while he tried to catch his breath. He glanced over at Aamori again once he'd calmed down slightly and noticed how she was acting now. She honestly looked like there should've been a rain cloud over her head while she sat there. He sighed heavily and turned around looking out over the water. He didn't see anything near the boat, at least on this side. So if that was a shark like he assumed it was, perhaps it was gone now. He shook his head lightly and glanced around at the others for a moment making sure that everyone was still on board.
LaRae continued to sit there on the deck even after the boat seemed to be alright again. She had her hands flat against the deck between her legs, prepared to dig her claws into the wood if need be should the boat jerk again. She hoped it wasn't going to again, that was more than enough excitement for one night. She looked over at Nanashi after she'd relaxed a bit. "...I think it was ...some really big ...fish or something." She answered. She'd only seen the fin so she wasn't exactly sure what it was and she hadn't heard Aamori talking about the sharks earlier either.
Nero continued to just sit there quietly though he opened his eyes again when he felt someone sit down on the bench near him. He uncrossed his arms and lifted a hand to brush his hair from his face as he looked over at Hikari. He shook his head lightly and then recrossed his arms over his chest. "...Deep breaths." He said after seeing the way she looked. He had heard the conversation going on between them, and hearing about the sharks really didn't phase him all that much. So long as that thing didn't try to tip the boat again he was fine.
