Yana nodded and went along with Hayata as he spoke. He kept a particularly straight face until after he waved to Hayata. Then he broke out into laughter. “ 'Jump out of a window or something'? Wow, Hayata just gets weirder and weirder.” He said nudging JAmie with his elbow.

“I mean, I'm worried about you, too, but he's obviously not read up on your condition. I'd be more worried about you having a relapse and falling out of bed than-” he stopped looked up at his silent friend and frowned. “What's the matter?” he asked.

He'd seriously never seen JAi look so...shocked. Something had happened. “.....Maybe Hayata's right, JAmie....You're not acting yourself.”

Boldness got ahead of him, and JAmie shook his head, "No... I'm not okay..."

He sniffed, as if he had been crying, though there had been no sobs or evidence of tears, "Ah... I... Have something to tell you. It's important. But... You have to not kill me or... or anything when I tell you, and we have to be alone. I really don't want anyone to know about this but you. You do need to know though, because if I don't tell you I may actually fling myself out a window."

The atmosphere of the outside was beginning to annoy him, and he saw black dots multiplying before his eyes -- aftereffects of a blackout. He blinked them away, pulling Yana into the hotel by the sleeve.

"Come on. Let's get out room key."

Despite the fear consuming his thoughts, a tiny part of his brain was celebrating the fact that the two of them were going up to a hotel room together -- alone. It felt nice. It felt right.

Yananame stumbled a little at first as he was pulled. He was a little dumbstruck by what JAmie had said. He caught back in step with him just in time to make it through the door without tripping. He would have said something, but the thought that JAi had something this urgent to tell him had him befuddled.

He was nearly silent for the rest of the way. What in the world could be that bad? Was it even a bad thing at all? Maybe it was just something he'd been wanting to say be couldn't...but what could he have to say that would be worth dying over? It had to be a bad thing. JAmie had never acted like this before.

When they'd finally gotten to their room, Yana found the words that had been swirling about blindly on the fogged path from his brain to his mouth. “..What is it JAmie?” it was the best he could think of. It would do. It would have to, because Yana couldn't get his mind past the turmoil in his friend's voice. He looked up at him, trying to read if this was him or his illness.

IGNORE, PLEASE.
"Yana, you can't hate me for this. Please," He sat down on the bed, there was only one, and twiddled his thumbs. This was him stalling, looking around the room at anything other than his friend.

It was a simple hotel room, rock stars of their caliber couldn't afford anything more. Two desks on either side of the queen-sized bed (most likely hard as a rock). A bathroom down what one could call a hall, though it was really just a short entryway through which one would come in through the door. A small television stood atop a small dresser passed the foot of his bed. Curtains hung over one wall, and JAmie would bet his life that their was a window behind there.

It was only after he had taken in the surroundings that he spoke again, voice shacking only slightly, "Yana... I'm gay."

He mumbled something incoherently after the words, but one could assume he said something akin to, "And I like you."

It was funny that a years worth of a secret, having evolved from a simple crush to something short of obsession, could all be revealed in so few words, so small an amount of time.

"Just... Don't hate me, okay?"

REWRITE REWRITE! IGNORE THIS POST!

The silence made Yana nervous. He fidgeted for a full thirty seconds while his friend paused. He did know whether to tell JAmie he'd never hate him or just to be good and listen. He opened his mouth a few times thinking the first was a good idea, but he felt the tensity in the air was forcing his silence. He looked at the floor for a second but perked his vision when JAi spoke up.

The moment the words were spoken, Yana's face went blank. He looked at JAmie...Just looked at him. There wasn't anything in the look at all. It was a long time until he did anything at all. That wasn't because he was upset, but it was because he really didn't know what to do.

When he did do something, He walked over and sat next to JAmie. It was sort of a dull ploppling on the bed. He almost said something but bit his lip, thinking better of it. He took a deep breath and let it out. "...You ought to know I can't hate you, Fluffy." he said with a wily grin.

His grin faded. This wasn't the time for joking around. "....I...I just don't know...I mean...I'm not completely disgusted by this but...I...I don't even know how I feel...I...Ugh." he looked back at the floor. Him and....JAmie? That was crazy...right? He wasn't gay...was he? Hell, he'd never even REALLY dated anyone. Kaito wa right about that. Yuck. He hated his brother being right. If he was right about that, though....

Yana looked back at JAmie. This was his BEST FRIEND. They'd been that way since they were kids. He really did CARE about him...he just wasn't sure if he....LOVED him...Wow. Thinking about that was weird...Not weird in a bad way though. He had to say SOMETHING. "...I don't really know about this...but I'm not afraid to a least give it a shot, i guess..." he said.

IGNORE THIS POST.

The lack of a fist to his face surprised him, but he didn't know why. Yana was never a violent person, yet the thought of a punch from him after the news seemed to be the most probable outcome of the situation. He was frustrated with the absence of sound, twitching and fiddling his thumbs nervously. He wanted to cry. Cry with disgust at himself and with his feelings and with everything else in his life that had gone wrong, new or old or forgotten. He wanted to sob and have Yana hold him in his arms as if nothing had happened, just wanted to have the comfort of his friend's touch. He held himself fast, however, on the very line between stability and explosion, and in that moment he very much wanted to fling himself out the third-story window.

Then Yana spoke. He was sitting next to him, unafraid of that horrible germ of gay that seemed to be streaming through JAi's veins. Oh, how just being near his friend, hearing that there was no hate between them made him so very happy. Elation spread through his body at the grin, but it was gone in a moment along with yana's expression. He held fast to the image, a strange worry striking him that he would never see his friend smile again.

He heard the word 'disgusted,' and his heart sank. Of course Yana wasn't gay, that was unreasonable to hope for. It was too much to want. All JAmie needed was his friend, his best friend. His love could be bottled up and saved for later, until after their tour when he was back home in his own room where he could angrily take it out on himself. The lack of hate was enough.

He nodded along with the boy's confused slurs, up until his last sentence. His heart skipped a beat. His eyes widened. The last bit of resolve snapped, and he felt warm tears sliding down his face. Starved for words, he tried to stammer out a million thoughts at once. Finding no adjective or noun or whatever he needed to convey his feelings of surprise and joyousness and everything, his mouth only flapped open and closed as if he were a fish taken from water and starved of breath.

A few breaths were taken, In, out, in, and he finally managed. "What? You- You mean it?"

He didn't bother to wipe away the tears, still flowing freely down his face. He payed them no attention, forgotten in the suspense of waiting for Yana's next words.

REWRITE REWRITE! IGNORE THIS POST!

Yana smiled up at JAmie. “Of course I mean it...Oh, here.” He said pulling up his sleeve and closing in on him to wipe his face. He lit a small laugh escape him “You're going to look like the fat lady at a funeral if you cry.” he joked.

He finished drying the other's face and then pulled back to look at him. “Anyway...You're only the coolest guy in the world...Hell, I don't even know if I'm gay or not..I've never even thought about it, really...but If I am...I know sure as anything I'd rather find out with you.”

He looked back at the floor. “I don't know anyone else I'd want to find that out with...but...y'know.” he said. His face flushed a little. What was that? He was never awkward. Then again, maybe that's what it was supposed to be like...liking someone. He hadn't realized until just then he never really HAD liked anyone.

Which pulled his mind to the next problem. He'd never even hugged that one girl...and He and JAmie had to sleep in the same room...on the same bed. This might be a long night.

He spent another few minutes like this, but with Yana's gaze on him he had to find the nerve to speak. After those painstaking ticks of the clock, he opened his mouth, and liked through his teeth.

"Hayata... He... He said we needed to fake a relationship in order to get press."

It wasn't technically a lie. However, it wasn't the real truth either. Inside he screamed at himself for not saying the simple words, "I like you!" But he couldn't. He didn't. And that was that.

"And... I said yes," He bit his lip, "I shouldn't have, but I did. I'm sorry..."

Hayata….” Yananame mouthed the name from his awestruck lips. It all made sense now. “…..Wait a minute….You’re telling me he PLANNED all this?” He said, the dumbstruck almost silent tone fading to become a completely infuriated one.

Yana wasn’t mad for the reason he should be. Hayata had PLANNED it. He planned to “lose” JAmie’s sunglasses. He planned for him to get hurt. He played with his emotions and worried him to death. Worst of all, he could’ve seriously HURT JAmie. His face was expressing all this pretty clearly.

I’m not mad at you, JAi, but I’m pretty effin’ pissed at our manager. He could’ve KILLED you. You could’ve had a seizure or got a serious concussion! “ he told the other boy sternly. He turned to the door. “I oughta go give him a piece of my mind! He’s seems to need a little bit of one, since he lost his!” He grabbed the doorknob to leave.

JAmie was up in a second, catching up to his friend in a couple steps. He pulled Yana away from the door.

"No, no. It was partly my idea," he lied, "I know you're pissed at him, but Hayata's just trying to do what's best for the band."

He led Yananame back to their bed, sitting him down. He placed both his hand's on Yana's shoulders, looking him strait in the eyes, "If you're going to be mad at anyone, be mad at me."

It was a complete switch from before. He didn't want Yana to be angry at him, not by any means, but Hayata's plan might have been the only thing that would get Yana close to him. If a fake relationship was all he could get, then a fake relation ship was what he was going to take. With a confidence only skin deep, the boy continued.

"But I need to know. Are you willing to do this? I can tell Hayata to back down if you're against it. I can stop it now. But if you're okay with it then I won't."

Yana crossed his arms as he tried to calmly hear JAmie out. Truth was he didn't know WHY he was mad. It was perfectly logical to think he was mad about them doing this behind his back, but that wasn't the reason. Was he mad because JAi got himself hurt? Hell yeah, he was. Was he mad because Hayata talked him into it? OH YEAH. What he wasn't sure about, was why he wasn't mad that he was being forcefully paired with his best friend.

"Hayata knew better...YOU knew better! I could've LOST you. That's how SERIOUS this is, you know?" He said, looking away from him. He was trying to be mad, but it wasn't working. "If you would've just asked....I can't believe this."

He looked up at JAmie's concerned face. "....This would've been fine if you hadn't gone and done all this you know..." he mumbled defeated-ly. He sighed.

"...I just....need to think about it...Okay?"

JAmie looked at him worriedly, but relief showed visibly on his face. Yana wasn't totally against the idea. He wasn't totally disgusted with him. He was just confused.

"I understand," JAmie nodded, taking his hands from Yananame's shoulders. He fell on the bed and crawled over to the left side.

It took all of his effort to not too grin, not to sound too exited as he said, "well, regardless what you think of the situation, you still have to sleep with me tonight."

He patted the bed and laughed jokingly. Like best friends again, or the closest thing he could fabricate after such a discussion.

Yana tried to make his expression look un-amused. He tried....and failed. It didn't take long for him to smirk and accept the joke. "AWRIGHT~" he teased in a sing-song voice, "but I better warn you...I'm a little bit of a wiggle worm."

He got up and plopped down on the patted spot. With a devilish grin he added n mock sterness, "You better behave yourself!"

With that he got up. "But first, i gotta get this shit off my face. I can't sleep like this." This was his excuse to be a night owl. He personally hated to sleep. He wanted to do things and have fun! He walked over the bathroom in the small room.

JAmie giggled. He wasn't much of a night owl, and when he hit a certain point he just could not go on. Not rock star material, but he got by.

A yawn escaped his mouth, "I'm going to sleep whether you're here or not. Though I'd prefer the former, you know."

He lied down and closed his eyes, and like that, he was asleep. It never did take long for him.

Yana came back out with his face clean and his clothes changed into a big t-shirt and a pair of boxers. He still had a toothbrush in his mouth, but had removed all of his piercings. He looked at JAmie.

"Wuss." he mumbled through the utensil. He walked back in and rinsed the toothpaste. He looked in the mirror. Him and JAmie, huh? He'd never thought of that. Well, almost never, There was that once. WOAH! Too tense! Don't make this harder than it already is, yana! Dreams are just dreams. Goals are the only reality. Yeah, that was his motto for stuff like that.

He sighed heavily. Suddenly he didn't feel like staying up. He stretched boredly and stumbled into the bedroom. With a tired plop he lay in bed and shut his eyes. It didn't take long for the stillness to take over, and for him to fall asleep.

********

The next morning, Yana's warning would be proven quite true. JAi would have to wake up to him having rolled over close to him, clinging to the warmth. Yana's subconsious was blissfully unaware of his position, and what the scene would do to his best friend's sanity.

JAmie woke up peacefully to the sun shining through his window. There was about two minutes of bliss before he looked down. And he saw it. Yana pressed up against him, wrapped around him, like some amazing dream where everything you ever wanted started to happen but all you could do was sit and wait helplessly until you wake up.

And that's what JAi did. He stayed there, sweating profusely, for his best friend to wake up and stop the best nightmare he'd ever waken up to. He closed his eyes, kept them closed, would keep them closed until Yana woke up. Then he would shrug it off like he didn't want to kiss him, didn't want to hold him back. Because for all that boy knew, he had been asleep all along.

There were plenty of things that could've woken the sleeping Yana. The fact that it was now BRIGHT was a good one. Another one would be that the "pillow" he'd clung to was now making a annoying thumping noise. Or the fact that he actually went to bed before this moment, but no.

Yana woke up to a smell. It was warm and sweet like a hot bun with honey on it. It took him a while the realize what exactly he had been snuggling. He jumped back and almost tumbled off the bed. He stared at the "sleeping" JAi for a minute and sighed. THAT would've been awkward. No erasing intensity like that...

It registered that the smell had been whatever JAmie had used last night before the show. Geeze, he HAD to ste- borrow that. It was totally AWESOME. He sat there for a minuter before looking angrily at him. COME ON! WAKE UP! he thought. WAKE UP!WAKEUPWAKEUP!

JAmie was a good actor. He had woken up over a dozen times in his life, and he used that knowledge to recreate the best scene he could. Or at least, that's what he thought as he was doing it. First he groaned the half-annoyed "I guess I have to get up now" grumble and pushed himself onto his arms to let out a yawn.

"Ugh, what time is it?" He finished his amazing performance by rubbing his eyes.

Yana shrugged and made a little 'iunno' noise. He stretched. It couldn't be too early, the sun was pretty bright. He looked around the room but found there was no clock. "Huh, some hotel this is..." he muttered.

He looked at JAmie. "Hey, we got the day off today, don't we?" he said. He knew the answer to that. Rock on! They were only in the coolest district in Tokyo! Time to hit those famous Shibuya fashion bistros!

He stopped his rejoicing for a second. He had a decision to make. An important one it was. He had to figure this out somehow.

JAmie smiled, "I guess we do."

Then he remembered the night before. He fell back onto the bed, looking up to the ceiling and covering his face with his arms. The day could suck for him, or it could go amazingly great. It all rested on Yana's shoulders.

He started tentatively, "Well...?"

Yana watched as JAmie fell back. It was obvious he and JAi were thinking about the same thing. Guh, what was he going to do? If he said yes, Wouldn't that be saying he approved of Hayata's underhanded and careless behavior? He didn't want to send a message like that.

Then again....He'd always wondered....

If he said no....then he might never know.

Yana looked up from his thoughts at the half-silent question. Like the one word had said a whole sentence, Yana smirked. "I think I've made up my mind."

That was it, though. Not a direct answer, Not a bitter tone that screamed 'no'. He just got up and walked into the bathroom. In the long silence that followed, Yana was glad to have a mouthful of toothbrush, because merely the thought of that dumbstruck look made him want to laugh.

JAmie stretched as he waited for Yana's answer. When he did get it, he couldn't have said he was entirely pleased. His heart sunk when he didn't hear the yes he was so desperately hoping for. He bit his lip, expecting to quell some kind of disappointed moan he knew would be coming. Then he realized, Yana didn't say no. He hadn't been shot down. There was still a chance, fake as it might have been.

"Yananame, you're such a tease, you know that?" JAmie frowned, "Spit out that toothpaste and give me your real answer."

Yananame spit the tootpaste out of his mouth and threw the brush into the running water. He didn't do this on the orders of his friend, but because he didn't want to choke on the laughter that came out after the minty liquid. "A tease? Who, me?" he mused between giggles.

He walked to the door and leaned against the wooden frame. "Hm...I guess you're right." He finished with a wily smirk. He watched JAmie for a second, completely amused with the expression on the other's face.

"Alright, alright, I'll answer." He said waving his head. "Im gonna do it...BUT! You have to agree to take the punishment for that stunt you and Hayata pulled! You gotta agree before I tell you what it is, or this fakey love is just NOT happening!" He waved a finger dramatically in the air. This was going to be fun even if he found he didn't really like JAmie that way. He was gonna be sure of that.

JAmie was a love-sick teenager. Being a love-sick teenager meant there was something wrong with his brain. Actually, there was little right with his brain, but he was a rock star so it didn't matter all that much.

Except at that very moment. With Yana... looking at him like that, he couldn't do anything to contradict him. Tempting he-devil.

He tried to not sound exited, or afraid, when in reality, he was both. He tried to sound like a friend who just wasn't sure about the devious schemes of another, which was also true of him but he just couldn't find the means of acting it.

He waited for a moment, and then in the most reluctant voice he could muster, "... Fine."

"Excellent. Get yourself ready, Fluffy. Today, you're going shopping with me, and I get to pick you out something to wear." He ordered triumphantly. Oh, yes, this would be loads of fun. The only thing to make it better would be if Kaya were here to help him find the PERFECT outfit to force on the taller male. He chuckled to himself and went back to his morning routine.

After a weeks worth of performances, Yana had been really stressed. For some reason, messing around with clothes calmed the teen. This was probably the result of having a best friend who is female and has a dream of being a fashion designer. Shopping for the hottest items was a normal thing when Kaya was around, and as much as he hated it at first, he was addicted to it now.

Yana wasn't in any mood to dress up for today's affairs. In fact, He was going to be as careful as possible NOT to look like the boy on stage. His first dressing-down was that he wore his glasses, not his contacts. Those sassy pied eyes still got a little attention, though, because he really did like wearing make-up. In particular, He liked eye-liner, but Yana loved color, so just above those dark lines was splash of green. Today, he wore a rather normal-looking shirt- a light-green one with some sort of graffiti art that resesembled a cat. Over it he wore a collared plaid shirt of similar coloring. Of course, the real dress-down was that he wasn't WEARING a dress.

Frills and lace a skirts were cute, and Yana could make them work. Oh, he could make them work HARD, but all those things were JAmie, not him. Yana had always been partial to wearing denims. While these were still unworthy of saying he wasn't cross-dressing, they were, in fact, pants. Girl's pants, of course, but he didn't see a thing wrong with that. Skirts were cute, but these tight jeans showed off what a hot rock god like himself looked like.

All his piercings in and his hair down. He was the sexiest thing in the room and boy did he know it. With a quick check of himself he turned to the soon-to-be-punished JAmie and smiled. "Are you ready yet, JAi?"
