Aww! It's really lovely and I think that this avatar art of yours will be an awesome attraction for other Mene users.
As for the first time the coloring is not that bad. Yep a lil bit practice nad everything would be perfect.
I also suggest you to serach in DA for coloring tutoarilas. There are lots of them and they are very good.

It's very nice for a first cg picture. THe only thing is, the hair seems to colored differently than the rest of the picture if you get what I mean. Like the rest of the clothing and such seem to be all soft looking, but the hair doesn't also look that way....also, the red eye color seems kind of weird.

It looks really nice, but the feet seems a bit flat.
It is a nice pose though! :D.

Next time, try using a bit more shadows!! You did use shadows, but try to make it darker.

Wow, that's excelent for your first shot with photoshop! Mine was... well, it looked like someone threw up on the canvas. I'd suggest looking up tutorials online to help you get the hang of the program. It's terribly complicated! I'm sure you'll get it if you keep at it though :]

I think it's amazing!

I could never do anything as good as that on my first try.
