Well I've been seeing a lot of posts about people and somewhat serious matters they deal with so I thought I would post something on the lighter side of things. I think we can all agree that at least one type of insect bugs us. In fact I actually have quite a few but I don't want to list them all so I'll just tell you about one and the reason why.

here's the deal, one type of insect I can't stand is ants. I know they are tiny and there really is no reason for normal people to fear them but I do have a good reason. You see I have a friend who drinks a lot of healthy drinks and stuff that are good for her but are very sweet. Well one day she found a smoothie on the counter and she thought that her mother had left it there for her to drink so she took a couple of sits and then when she set it down she noticed a few black dot in it which made her suspicious and when she looked closer she found out they were ants! She had just swallowed at least 75 ants that were still alive! Her mom took to the hospital and they had to get them out like immediately. After she told me that i always checked my drinks and food for ants and now can't even look at them with out picturing the poor girl and what she had to go through... -_-'

Now here is my question for you guys. Is there anything that has gotten you totally paranoid about bugs or maybe just one type that you can't stand? If so I would like to know what and/or why.

You might wanna delete all those ~'s before you get a warning. :(

I actually like ants, I mean not if they're ON me of course, but if there's just one running around the sidewalk or whatever. I think they're kinda cute. But I hate spiders and bees and wasps and recently I've developed a fear of ladybugs because one bit/pinched me.

thanks I'll get rid of them. I was just adding some decoration to the post to help go along with the topic. I didn't realize they were illegal o_O

I don't mind ants. They're kinda cute. I can't stand Bees, Wasps, Yellowjacts, and Spiders.

Wait, why did your friend have to go to the hospital to get the ants taken out? Wouldn't her stomach acid kill them off just fine?

I hate centipedes, I hate how their legs move in a circle, it looks demonic D=<

I HATE bugs spiders worms and slugs moth wings and other gross things I hate bugs! lol kind of a mix there off a song called "my brother eats bugs" but I do like butterflys the girly bugs as some say. though I do hate lady bugs.

Most bugs are alright as long as they aren't on me...(I end up smashing them on accident and feeling bad) But I quite like spiders...despite the fact that they're arachnids, not insects.

Seeing the movie 'the ring' has made me hate Centipedes with a passion. They scare the crap out of me, and I freeze with fear every time I see one D: One almost got on me the other night.

anyone ever ate those chocolate covered dead insects? I havent tried those, sick little things D=

I'm not sure to be honest but just the fact that they were still alive when they went down her throat sent shivers down my spine... :shock:

Oh my god, that's happened to me before, but it happened with a can of soda, so I couldn't see inside it. D: Like.. I went downstairs to watch TV and a can of soda I had left there from the night before was still on the coffee table, and my mom told me to finish be so I could put the can in the recycling bin. So I tipped some soda into my mouth, OH GOD THE HORROR. There were ants inside, and when I felt them on my tongue, I spit it out on the floor and ran to the bathroom to rinse out my tongue. =______= I didn't swallow any, but god, it was disgusting.

I also have bad experienced with moths and these tiny little flying insects... I don't know if they were flies, but when I was a kid, one flew into my mouth, straight into my throat, and another one flew up my nose. D: These were non-consecutive events, but I think that happened in the same year. >_<;;;

Ohh, I've seen those in museums, but my mom wouldn't let me get any XD

The closest I've come to eating something like that was a sucker with a scorpion in the middle...I threw it out before reaching the scorpion, though XD Even though I didn't believe her when my sister said it would come back to life...I wasn't taking any chances x_X

I'm scared of all types of bugs, but mostly ants right now, since my house currently has an ant infestation problem...

Ack! I've got goosebumps already...

And your story about the girl drinking ants... that was my first sign that our house has an ANTS problem... I keep on forgetting to check the cup before I drink... I HATE finding ants AFTER the first sip. XP

he heh... I forgot to mention in my first post that the worst part of the whole thing is that my house is currently infested with them and every morning I wake up with an army of the them on my kitchen counter! Let's just say i don't eat breakfast in my house anymore... o_O

Well, I'm not so scared of bugs. Then again, I was a tomboy growing up and my babysitter would cook chocolate covered worms and chocolate covered ants and such. Or pretend to. None of them were real bugs, and I'd always go out and hunt for bugs, snakes and salamanders.
I do hate some bugs though. Like I can't stand wasps, and hornets, but I don't mind honey bees and bumble bees because they're not aggressive.
Also I don't like certain spiders, mainly the ones that are poisonous or I'm not sure if they are, but that's more sort of caution than fear. I love the little itty bitty ones. I used to put my hand against where they had hatched and let them crawl on me. Or I'd blow on them when they were clustered so they'd all scatter.

About the girl who ate the ants, I don't see why she had to go to the hospital, black ants aren't poisonous, then again, I ate unhatched spider eggs, so... >.<

I love all insects, but not when they come crawling up on me. I'll love them, but they need to give me space. haha.

Ants are kind of gross, but in a beautiful way. I don't like when worms crawl up on me, but if you look at them, you can see some beauty, but it's the kind of beauty you don't want touching you. =/

I have this weird thing with spiders.
The BIGGER and FUZZIER they are, the cuter I think they are.
Like, I think Tarantulas are adorable.
But tiny lil spiders scare me to death O-O;;;
I nearly ALWAYS freak out whenever I think one is on me. it's why I shave my legs now, because just the slightest breeze makes me think somethings there.

Wasps also scare me.
Bees are okay as long as it isnt a superclump of them.
but WASPS...or HORNETS...
flying pissy insects of pointy doom make me freak out T^T
and basically anything that flies and is equiped with something that hurts.

I can't stand centipedes. Or millipedes. As in, I see one, I start hyperventilating and shaking uncontrollably. There was one in the shower once, and I shot out of the bathroom covered in soap, soaking wet and fully nude rather than deal with it. The company in the living room thought it was hilarious, me not so much. :(

Its probably because when I was younger (young enough to be sleeping with a nightlight, not quite sure exactly how old I was) I saw something... flickering up the wall. You know, that creepy way they move? Well, I sat up to turn on the bedside lamp, and I guess when I did, it got startled, because it lost its hold on the wall and FELL INTO MY HAIR! It promptly got horribly tangled, and I basically ran around shrieking until my mother grabbed me and decentipeded me. I was so frightened, I couldn't even touch the back of my head. I seriously would've cut the clump of hair off rather than dealt with it. D:

Just thinking about that... horrid INCIDENT, I'm feeling tight in the chest and panicky. Guh. So nasty.

I also cannot STAND ticks. If one is embedded in my skin, it makes me sick to my stomach. Gods forbid one is in my hair... I get someone else to take it off of me. Strangely, I'm not bothered by ticks on other people, but I don't touch them with my bare fingers lest it turn around and latch onto me. :3

Wow I'm surprised that there isn't more people saying no... Well since that's the case i probably shouldn't mention that the average person swallows seven spiders in their sleep within a life time... :?

it's a scary thought, but if you think about it...
theres no air in your stomach.
it can't really support any life. or at least anything that was born OUTSIDE of it.
so like, a spider would suffocate in your belly and just be digested.

Most bugs are cool
But spiders, ants, anything that gets into your house and isnt cute
Scare the crap out of me

I don't like bugs if they are on me and especially if they look like they might bite me. If they are on the ground or something, they're usually not scary.

But butterflies and ladybugs and such are pretty and don't scare me at all.

Ants are alright as long as they aren't on me or on my food or in my house.
