I believe that it should be distributed among people who first colonize it and are given a certain radius of land around the colony. I'll be obvious that most will take 1 side and try to be as close or spread apart, then keep spreading until all is colonized.

Saying America owns the moon because they stepped on it is like saying Russia owns space because they launched the first satellite into it.

No one country can claim ownership over the moon. A power as great as the moon can't be in any one country's hands, it would cause chaos around the world.

The moon is a part of nature. It does not belong to anyone or in any country for that matter. I think no one has the right to claim it for it had been here before us. I don't care who anded there first. The moon existed independently from humans. Humans has no right to own it as much as they have no right to say they own the earth.
