If people began to live on the moon, I would think that no matter where the people initially came from, the moon would break off as it's own country. Or.. since it is the moon, would it be considered a continent?

Honestly I do not think any one country would be able to lay claim to the moon. Fighting in such a hazardous environment as the vaccuum of space would not be a good idea. I am sure whatever countries moved onto it, they would own their own space stations and cities in bubbles, and that is all. They would have to work in harmony together to survive up there.

It would definitely be America to own the moon. They own next to everything. But no body should own the moon. There's really no point.

I really think that America will the way they are handling things and want control of things. But many other countries work hard and don't have so much troubles and such. I guess the country that would own the moon is someone who works hard for it. I bet America will use something like the first man to get on the moon and the whole space shuttle thing that is in America making them right to own the moon. If they were to do that, America would say something like that and take control of the moon. People in America have their own way of arguing about things.

I don't think really anyone should own the moon. I think the moon is like an internationally owned piece. Of course, who said we own the moon?

If I had to pick a country it would probably be the US simply I guess because we got to it first.

I think they should just leave the moon alone. I mean, people already messed earth up as it is so they have no right to even mess with any other planet (yes, I know the moon's not a planet).

I think America would probably try to claim it since we like to do that. I think it's best left as free territory, though, since there's nothing more to do with it beside sticking flags down and sending little robots scuttling about.
