I think, like the world, the moon should be owned by all.
I think that if one country owned the moon, other countries would become angry...
like the space station,
different parts were made by different countries,
so that country owns that part of the station.

I don't think any one country should be able to claim ownership of the moon. Just because someone landed there first shouldn't be a basis of ownership. I see people saying America since they were there first (but then think about where the ownership of America would go), but what about the first people to look up at the sky and see the moon maybe it should be them, the people who discovered the moon who "own" it.

I don't think anybody should own the moon. I mean, why would anybody WANT to? I mean sure it's the moon but the only things up there are dust and rocks... very BORING rocks too I might add.

It would *probably* be America, but I don't know what they would gain from such an ownership at this point, really. It's not like we can do that much with the moon at this point.

Seriously. I think this issue will only really come to light in a couple of decades or so, when the world is capable of doing more things out in space than they are now.

I really dont think anyone would be able to really own the moon. And I dont really see why they would go so far to own it if they did. To me you already own the moon and sky and all the pretty little stars that bid you a good night sleep. I think god put them there so we would have something we can all call our own.

There`s controversy that no one even landed on the moon because the flag that they posted on the moon was fluttering even though there`s supposed to be no gravity there.

I don't think any one nation can lay claim to the moon. The moon kinda belongs to the Earth in a way so it should belong to everyone who lives on it.

I think because we were there first, is a very poor reason to claim ownership of an entire planet. I would hope that if it was necessary to own it at all that it would be split between the countries. Of course the larger ones with the most pull would get the biggest part. I think the time when it would be necessary to own it, things will be much different there may not be any america then.

I think theres a website attempting to do that. Since no one has officially tried to claim the moon, they are attempting to sell pieces of it, and some people have actually bought them. I cant remember the name of the site though >_< I'll get back to you on that one lol.
