And I shure agree with you, that this is something very unpeasant to hear. I think I'd be mad myself.
I actually do just the same thing and laugh telling that I'm gonna be the youngest among my friends when we get older.

lol - sometimes it would be better if I said yes to the kids ticket and the kids meal - but it's just a matter of pride lmao.
lol - I have all kinds of stories about people mistaking my age lmao - cause it happens all the time T.T My own grandmother thought I was 5 when I was really like..9 XD
But yes - we'll age well :D

I'm 17 and always get asked if I want to see the kid's menu at restaurants. .__. At some places they even charge me the 12 & under price, at first I thought it was funny but it gets pretty annoying after awhile.
I think I will probably get asked for id until I'm 50.

Jennifer is nineteen too. But she looks to be anywhere from 14-17 years old. As told by other people. Though since I've lost a bit of weight and my acne cleared, people are actually taking me for my real age. Guess I'm maturing physically a bit more. It makes me happy; because I hate looking younger. XD

My mom who is 37 will sometimes still get carded, it's crazy but I'm glad to have her genes.
I like looking younger usually except now that I'm 18, I still look pretty young and I'm not that happy about it.
I don't like being carded for stuff, it's annoying.
Sometimes I also get asked if I should get a kids menu, which is pretty ironic because I worked as a waitress not that long ago ><

I'm 16 and people normally think that I'm in my twenty's. In fact one of my brothers friends parents asked my how I like collage. I just turned and looked at him and said, "Dude, I'm 16. Collage is two years away."
Other times when I watch my brothers friend's sister they think it's my daughter. I just say no and that I'm only 16 and would've had her when I was 11, ew.
I wish people would just look at me and automatically assume that I'm a teenager. Oh well.

I am the same way. I am 20 soon to be 21 but I look like I am about 15. Every time I go to a club I am the only one of my friends that they inspect my ID like the really expect it to be a fake.
><
And then they ask me every question that the possibly can about it to make sure that it is really me.
*sighs*
Oh well I am use to it by now and so ready when they ask the questions that I answer them almost before they ask them.
*giggles*
This reminds me I have to get a new ID soon mine expires in a month.
Woot!

Well, I don't know what people think I look like now.
I don't ask many people, nor do people guess and ask if they're right.
But when I was younger, like, 10ish, a lot of people thought I was like 7 years old....
That always annoyed me x_________x

People always think I'm 17 or something, when I'm closer to 20. I guess it's a good thing. I'm a cashier, and I once carded a woman born in 1968. Oh, to look that youthful when you're 40. *sigh*

I think it is lucky to look younger than you are rather than older, because you only want to look younger in the span of about fifteen years of your life, in the teen decade and half of your twenties. Once you hit that halfway mark and realize you are a quarter of a century old, you suddenly want people to start guessing your age as younger, if only by a year or two... or three.
So if you look younger than you really are, I would consider yourself lucky. I often get viewed as looking younger than I am, and I am very very happy for that, I do not want to look thirty or older than that when I finally turn thirty down the road!
I do have to say that looking your age isn't the only problem. I feel I still look very young for my age, but as the years progress I am starting to feel older. I just recently got back from an all nighter get together with my friends, and when we started talking about what we were going to do the next day, we realized halfway into the conversation we sounded so much older than we realized, and it made is feel old.
Some of us had to go buy some groceries and some had laundry and an oil change for a car and other such 'grown up' things to do. They days of getting to sleep in until past noon because we have nothing better to do are slowly disappearing.

I can't tell how old people think I am.
When I was 19, I could almost always get drinks even though the legal age is 21.
Now I get carded more often and I'm 22 now.
It's rather weird.

@Believo: I have actually never heard of someone having both circumstances happening to them, looking older when they were younger and younger when they were older. But that is the circumstances most people really want to acquire so you are lucky! <3

Maybe she saw you before getting a drink or cigarette?
maybe she was to lazy to see you like the way you are looking younger maybe people have opinions of the way people look like. it like ur 21 and you look like 35. its natural anyway maybe the other people that sell cigarettes see how you look and ask maybe it was a accident. It was bad though because what if you look like ur 6 and you are 16 and you don't get in trouble. it will affect the worker about it just forget about it because the way you look if you were under age it will really affect though just remember that.

I look way older than I really am. When I was 14 I'd ask people how old they thought I was and they'd say 18 or 19.
So to balance it I dress sorta Kandi kid so I seem younger.
And when I was 9, people thought I was 13. Maybe cuz I had bewbs. Who knows ><

Eh, I've been with people and others of them got carded and I didn't.
I think part of it also has to do with the fact of where I lived then and where I live now. :?:

For where I am, to buy cigarettes, you need to be 18, but to drink you need to be 21. I'm just like you, I'm a lot older than a lot of people think I am. It's not all that bad, but at times it is. maybe that lady didn't ask because she is one of those people who can tell someone's age by their behavior? Or she just didn't want to check and expects you to be responsible for buying. Well...., it's not that bad to look old, just not too old, being young in definitely not bad to me at all. I'm starting to enjoy looking younger and being shorter than many others younger than me.

My parents' restaurant sells alcohol and you can't believe that some of these people are over 21! (And I'm sure their IDs aren't fake) They look around my age (16), but then again, I don't look my age... someone yesterday actually thought my lil sister was my twin, and then worse, older than me T-T. She actually looks her age, 13.
My mom has good memory and remember people she's carded before.

You get carded for just about everything you do. Everytime I go to a bar, everyone gets carded. Bought ciggies for a friend(he didn't have money and I did...) we both had to show our ID.
