I hope to God i'm just stressing out, but, hell, i need a holiday, a nice long holiday, as soon as i can.
Right so.
I'm in my last year of school (british)
So, i have my GCSE Exams (important exmas, very very important if i want a good, well paying job)
And they're in about a month and a bit.
So
here are my problems:
1) Art
In art, i've got to do this painting, and we've only got about... 3 lessons left working on it beofre we move onto the exam work, and Mine so far, is no where neat finished, i have to paint a picture of me and Ville Valo on about an A3 size paper.and i can't seem to do it, i'm a bit of a perfectionish, granted, but i just can't get it right, His lips and eyes right now, i've almost finished me, but then again i couldn't give a Cr*p on how rubbish i look 'cos it's me and i feel uber ugly, i just want to make sure i portray how beautiful Ville actually looks. and i'm not really doing that...
2) Music
Alright, Music, My pain-in-the-ass don-treally-know-why-i-took-this-subject lesson, and, as i have next to no musical talent at all, i have to sing in this performance evening coming up at the end of April. So, I wanted to Sing a Sweeney Todd song as i love it and I'm so shy i can put myself into character and do it better, so i go see my music teacher with this backing track i bought (cost me £25) but it's the stage version and i'm thinking, the music's by the same person right? Sondhiem? so they music should be the same. How wrong i was, I can't recognise any points in the music that i can recognise from the Film music. so i blew £25 on something completely useless. Anyway, i show her the song i wanted to sing, and after about 10 seconds she turns around to me and goes "No, you cant' sing thst, it's too hard" and i'm like What?! all the songs are like that and i finally get you a song i WANT to sing! and you're telling me no!? i mean, she hasn't even heard me sing yet, i was so close to crying when she said that, luckily i managed to get to my maths class and just sit there and cry with my friend. It just makes me so upset that i'm trying and she's throwing it back at me. How on earth am i going to get backign tracks anyway? Kareoke tracks? i dunno, but most of those suck you have to agree. I'm trying but in music, i can't seem to do anything right for her.
Overall, i'm really quite angry with school, the only lesson i'm liking right now is Drama but that's gonna stop soon 'cos she's gonna get angry at us again 'cos we can't go atleast a week without her getting mad at us.
Teachers are going on at us about revising, but they still give us homework! i'm like How's that fair?!
They're all "you need to revise! it'll boost your grades! Revision is important!" and then they go "Oh but you still need social time! That's important too! you need to balance your time better!" and it's just so annyoing!
They keep going "only 30 days untill your exams!" and i'm like Yeah! Shut Up! Like we need more pressure!
I feel so useless, it sucks so bad and i'm hating life right now.
I mean, drama is really, the only lesson i want because i want to act when i'm older. but everyone's going "Oh no! you're too shy to act!" i really wanna just turn round and scream fuck off at them, they just seem to like making me feel bad. i hate it! I HATE IT!
I know i'm making quite a few of these life issues topics but i 'm really having a stressful time right now.
Any help at all? not that you can, but you can try

I'm in the same situation as you are. All I hear about is exams exams exams which makes me want to smash my head against the wall, which I might actaully do sometime, which is not advisable for it can hurt. Anywho make yourself a revision time table block out any dates when you have exams or other activites and revise in the blanks, block out a few others just for "ME TIME".
Take your time painting your picture go in at breaks, lunch time and after school if your teacher will let you so then you have more time to get the picture how you want it.
I have to say this SCREW THE MUSIC TEACHER (don't take that the wrong way please) it's your choice on what you want to sing. Listen to the sound track to the song you want to sing and get used to how it sounds then start putting the lyrics in and seeing how they fit in until you're happy with it.
As for drama show them all that they're wrong. I did take drama but I decided to quit because everyone kept putting me down and anxiety got the better of me. I know how hard it is to try and stay confident when you just get put down all the time.
Also listen to calming music or if you're like me heavey metal which gets all your frustration out. Just have times where it's ME TIME no revision just time for ME and no one else.

@Mars180 - i try to, but then i stress out all over again, i'm a very strange person, i stress really easily and i get frustrated when hungry or tired, i'm not nice to be around when i'm like that so my friends have to keep an eye on me and make sure i eat at the least
@HIM_ROCK - Exams are annoying, especially when they're as big as GCSEs 'cos they detemint youre future, don't they? i've done that with a concrete pole before though, so yeah, i know it hurts :(
The thing is with me, revision timetables won't work, because 9 times out of 10, i'm a lazy git and can't be bothered to get off my ass and do something that is going to bore me shitless.
I've tryed, i've tryed staying in, but after abotu an hour of painting, my concentration goes and i jsut get really angry with it and mess it up and just want to throw my painting across the room.
Don't worry i want to smack her sometimes, she's a very bad music teacher, my friends could do a better job than her most of the time. and what's really annoyed me is that she hasn't even heard me sing before, so she has no basis to go on, on how talented i am, as i mentioned, i'm quite shy, and i don't like singing infront of people, which is why i tryed to bring drama into it and sing songs from a film/musical i like (in this case, Sweeney Todd) so i can get into the role of the character singing, which is much easier that attempting to be another person(for example, if iwas to sing a HIM song, say, it'd be harder to get into Ville's Character than Mrs Lovett's Character)
I'm trying to in drama, but we hardly do any group work, there's almost no get-up-and-act-infront-of-the-class work going on and it's qutie annoying because i need more work like that to happen. I want to act when i'm older, like i said, but i'm never going to make it if i can't get over my stage fright.
I whine too much...
i'm sorry

Do your painting in short bursts, that's what I have to do when I'm writing I start getting fidgity, then I can't concentrate so I get up have a walk round then go back to it again. I do productive things when I'm revising like mind maps which helps me remeber things. I also go on these revision sites as well.

I can try, but i don't like sitting there, working on my painting on my own, that means i only have my opinion on it and i tend to think, 'no it's rubbish' and give up.
I'd love to get up wand have a wander, but my art teacher is really strict and doesn't let us out of our seats, most of the time we have to work in silence.
Is it only me that can't do mind maps? I put far too much detail on them and just forget things, i can't work them at all...
I'd like to try revision sites, but i don't know any good ones, i find BBC bitesize hopeless

If you ask your teachers if they have any good revision sites for you to use. I've been given a pack with all the sites we can use in.

This is going to sound a little harsh, but I really wish someone had tried to drum this into my head when I was at your stage --
The GCSEs aren't the be-all and end-all. Really, they're not. Universities pay more attention to A-levels (Or the IB) than they do GCSE results.
This isn't to say they're not important, or that you shouldn't worry - they DO help, but if you can keep things in perspective (heavens, I'm such a hypocrite - I know how hard this is; some of us are just prone to stressing) and be a little less harsh on yourself (remember, with art, you really are your own worse critic - nobody is going to see all the mistakes in your work you do. ;3) it'll make the next stage run a little smoother.
I personally managed to wear myself out doing my GCSEs, and suffered terribly at the beginning of A-level. Dx The jump's ridiculous, but you mustn't lose heart then.
:3 The best of luck with your exams!
...I get my module results on thursday. *tugs at hair*

ah music
how much trained are you in on italian or french opera music?
i ask this as i did singing lessons in school
if you are well trained in singing that kind of music,
which i found easy and also teaches you as a singer how far your singing range goes,
then you'll be able to sing that sweeney todd song.
it's european opera music that helps a singer to widen their vocal range
i was an alto for a while and then started training on my vocal range singing to that kind of music
that i became an alto-seprano (i know can't spell)
if you enjoy singing, then why not try singing that kind of music
they are quite nice and beautiful pieces of music
and if your doing just that
then ask her if you can open your vocal range much wider
but don't forget to train your voice
and look after it

I know school can be REALLY hard sometimes. If you feel like you are drowing in events and assignments, just remember that you're not the only one. We all have to deal with it.
