Alright, let's talk about advertising! Wierd adds, annoying adds, adds that work, ect!


I'll start:

WENDY'S ADDS DUCK! Why were they kicking trees? What the hell's with the men in wigs?

Wake up with the king? How effing creepy is that?

And the new jack in the box comercial, 'let's make a jack sandwich' Ewwww!


Then there's, 'Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! Head on, apply directly to the forehead! ect'

uhg.

*cough* I hate that head on commercial >.<

There's one out though I like of the above though... a guy saying it 3-4 times and says... "such a stupid commercial, but hey, it really works" xD Good job to the idiot who decided tyo insult their own commercial xD

and the ones I hate the most though... since I like seeing how people advertise their product... is when THEY DON'T MENTION THE DANG PRODUCT >.< I can't buy it if they don't tell me what it's called... and I'm not gonna call their stupid number to find out >.<

there is one i cant stand at the the moment... and ive no idea what the heck its for. its this one for something called pushing up daisys, every time i watch the tv (asnd its rare that i do) it comes on, with over dramatic harry potter like music and all it is is a daisy growing..... think i must be some tv program :/, not a clue, not going to find out as its annoyed me already.

also this bank one that has a squirle collecting nuts, i did like the first ones where it was different cute animals prepearing for winter, but now... its gone over the top and just, well, silly with a superman squirle. really off putting and iritating.

oh, and one last one... confused.com. it interesting really, its well known that any advert that eather:
has carbord cut out cartoons
some one shouting at you
patranising people that act like your stupid
big unused empty white spaces

isnt likly to do as well and one's that dont... well confused.com has all of them, tho resently they got rid of the shouting guy, but got more patranising people on.

oh yeah.. and I HATE that Zwinky commercial too >.<


@ Juno - Odd... I've never seen any of those o.o

Pretty much any form of advertising which starts with someone screaming "ARE YOU PAYING TOO MUCH FOR YOUR CAR INSURANCE?!?!" or "HAVE YOU BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS WHICH WASN'T YOUR FAULT?" should be banned.

The worst confused.com advert is the one with the couple in the taxi. The woman's voice is so annoying "We're totally confused.com!". I hope their cardboard taxi crashes >.<

The best advertising I've ever seen was for Saw IV.
It was so clever!
Having little snipits of the the dummy mask appear 3 or 4 times in a regular commercial break was really cool.
Scary though for the first time cause I was home alone.

yea I dont like commercials either
but I must admit that some are really clever
but some are just plain annoying Dx
and My mum says when I was young I used to just switching channels and watch the adverts xD

I used to sing the goldfish jingle all the time. XD

You realize there are like 324853 different head on type commercials, right? Like, I saw one for balding, one for arthritis, etc. Like five or six of them.

@ juno- I've seen ads for that show, some guy brings dead people back to life or something. I really hate those stupid eli stone commercials now though, how many times do I have to see that guy's ugly face and listen to terrible music? DX

All gap and old navy commercials suck, have always sucked and will always suck.

I love the burger king ads, though. I laugh every single time.

i hate jc penney adds with all my heart. if we wanna go to their friggin store, we'll go.
adds that work...hm....the non profit ones

Theres an ad on the radio here where people say things like this:

"I did it after work. My neighbor did it, and i got to watch. I just did it, and im gonna do it again."


And its for people going online to make custom t-shirts...its so obnoxious and sexual. Why is our society like that? ._.

And there's this one on the radio for getting help on depression. I understand the message but... after the woman says "..afraid to live and afraid to die." the advertising lady just goes "Wow" dismissively. It's so stupid

I really cannot stand that Internet banner ad that has a voiceover saying, "Congratulations, yo have won an XBox 360!"

I actually stopped visiting sites that had that banner ad until they removed it.

lol - those head on whatever commercials are just so annoying!!!! lol. I hate them - most commercials are stupid though. Very rarely am I like "wow - that was actually a cool commercial!" You know which commercial I used to love? The M&Ms commercial where they are on a viking ship and start singing "Row Row Row your boat" they get screamed at to stop and then they start singing "Don't rock the boat" and all the manly vikings join in. I dont know why - but it was just so cute. lol. It really has nothing to do with M&Ms - but I still loved it.

There are so many annoying ads. I loved the Head On commercials though, because they were so annoying that they were funny. Plus I was able to go on Youtube and play the ad and annoy the crap out of some people over the phone who I didn't want calling me. XD And it took me a long time to find out what Head On even was. My friend finally figured out it was for headaches. Anyway, there's this really annoying ad for this place called Appliance Direct. At the end of all their ads, they scream, "If you didn't buy direct, you paid to much!" They literally scream it. XD It's so retarded. And as for those ads that say you can only buy their product over the phone with a credit card... Who wants to bother with that? I was on the phone with my boyfriend and another friend the other night, and my friend thought it would be funny to call a bunch of those and act interested in the products and then say nevermind and hang up. All while me and my boyfriend were on the phone. It's was pretty amusing, I felt bad for a few of the people on the other end because he really confused them. XD But it was pretty funny, especially since I think that concept of buying things is kind of dumb.

But theres this Lloyds TSB advert a long time ago with black horses prancing across the screen and running in water,,,,, that was so pretty and the music with it was just amazing >>..> and now its even better
its got funny looking animated people that are always going on trains and going on their normal path of lives :D and the music with that is awesome tooooo wheeee x3 i just like it i guess

I sort of like the essurance adds. Just the happy pink haired girl with the black clothes, running around on missions with the guy that always messes up his car...

Actually repitetion is the best advertising method becouse it like implants it into your subconsious or something. so the best commercal out there is probably that stupid head-on one.

I'm fortunate enough to have never seen the Head-On commercials, besides the ones that are like, "I HATE YOUR COMMERCIALS, BUT I LOVE YOUR PRODUCT. <33" o co;; Okay then.

Weirdest commercial I've seen was the new Mountain Dew one where all of these guys are being hit by lightening, then there's text that pops up and says "Males are hit 4x as often by lightening than females," and then there's this girl who's tightrope walking on an electric line with an umbrella in her hands and she's not being hit by lightening. >w< I loved it.
