It doesn't bother me, if people are proud of their gaia avatar and want to show it off, there's nothing wrong with it. Gaia also makes this easy by having features such as export avatar XD Anyways, if you ban gaia avatars, then what's next, gaia avvy art? XD

New people probably also do this as an ice breaker, since when someone first start they won't have many friends/connection here.

It dosent really bother me, In fact it may help get some some new members to gaiaonline.com so Im really ok with it.

I'm a gaia user, so i would have to say they do it cuzz they wan't people to know they have gaia and wan't them to add them. lol. thats what im thinking .

I'm proud of my gaia avatar. I'm fairly wealthy on gaia and I love having a cute avatar. But on Menewsha my character is totally naked because I can't afford anything here O_o I don't have my gaia avatar in my signature, but maybe people who do have on in theirs feel that way... It's like a way to say "Yeah, I'm naked here, but I'm hot stuff on other sites!"

Menewsha reminds me of how gaia used to be waaaay back then :P

Oh, and because people may say on Menewsha: "i'm a noob here" but on gaia they are not so they might want to show they are not always a noob? I don't really know...though i hate being a noob so i try to do my best not to look like one .

@ Michelle_x0x - Well... noobs are evil little critters... whereas newbies are people new to the site who us oldbies should look out for ^^ (I'm not an oldbie yet though >.<)

But when someone posts their Gaia avi it's like saying "hey look at how cool I am" which... kinda bugs a lot of people. That and people who post their picture and say "aren't I pretty?" those people irritate me the most >.<

I'd post my Mene avie in my Gaia sig.
It's just a representation of myself in another form.
I stopped doing it because I realized anyone could tektek a nice avatar for their Mene sig and I didn't want to look like one of those people.
It's just an interconnectedness.
I think it irks people a lot and I'm not really sure why.
It's just a sig like anybody else's.
There are worse things to be put into sigs to really bother people.
Would you rather see a Gaia avi in a sig or a swastika?

That's a good question. I don't know why. Maybe it's just for publicity. As for me, Menewsha doesn't allow customized profiles, so I'd like people to see my awesome Gaia profile. xD I'm rather fond of my profiles, so I'd like people to see it. Either way, I'm not rich on Gaia and I rarely play it any more, so I can say I'm not part of that large chunk of population that thinks they can earn reputation for being rich on one site.
