This show is one of my all time favs.

The basic story (for those who don't know) revolves around Ban Midou and Ginji Amano two boys who run a recovery service. Their job it to recover lost or stolen items for their clients, be that a lost cat doll, or Van Goths thirteenth sunflowers. Along the way the run into old friends and new enemies.

My favorite character is Kuroudo Akabane, who is a sort of villain but not, because sometimes he helps the good guys. He does state once that he has no side, which would then make him neutral.
While it's a great show, it has the tendency of instead of beating the badguy, they just convince him/her of the error of their ways, and then everyones friends again. Cause the badguys usually a misguided old friend, who's a 14 year old genius super brain who's built an atom bomb, and is trying to blow up Tokyo.
In some ways I like this because then the badguys you like can stick around and be good guys later, then again it means that there are few actual badguys in the show.
Considering the show has character like Akabane who take pleasure in killing people, and have taken it up as a hobby, not all that much killing happens. A bunch of peons here and there, but even Akabane tones down his murderous side, because he starts to like the life loving and funny goofy main character Ginji. Only one mainish character actually dies, according to my memory, but I won't say who it is, if you haven't watched that far.
The manga is also very good, and explains certain characters origins differently than in the Anime. Natsumi, Hevn and Paul for example have different pasts in the Anime than they do in the Manga. The Anime also ends prematurely and the final battles are never fought. In fact when they're standing at the door they actually turn down going on in the Anime, while in the Manga they go on and fight some more.
Over all I really like the show and manga.
