grrr my scanner made ruined it!!!

i got 48 new prismacolor markers
this is my second time using it.

I like your coloring a lot! but there's something weird about the body, like some parts are too short/small, but it may be your scanner too..

have you used these markers before? or is the
1st time ever?

if its the first ever thats really good
if not then you do have some practice in
and your really good at the coloring part
[i never color my stuff XD but i prefer black white]

i really love the way the wings came out how they fadeis gorgeous same with the seelves.

all i that really bothers me is the fact that she looks all squashed XD but it si cute. and you did a really good job on it.

Her eyes are kind of low. And there's a part of the hair [near the top] where it doesn't have a black outline while the other parts do. Also, the length of her shoulders to her waist seems squashed, and her arms are way to short. Also, the knees are way too high up on her legs. Also, the arms are too thin for the body, and the legs are just too short and small overall. Very nice coloring for your second time though ^^

it's the scanner's fault it got squashed.

yeah i kinda notice that when i looked it over. besides i did this really late at night
10:00pm something. i was really sleepy. it's not my best :cry:

maybe its just me but i dont get how a scanner could
make her looked squashed?

i have used both bad and good scanners and none
ever changed the way the image its self looked.
so how is that possible?

im not doubting you or anything it just doesn't make sense to me.you scan something that already has a certain look to it scanning should change it.


*ohh wait maybe it has something to do with the size, it is possible the scanner changed the size of it becuase of either your settings of it felt the image was too big* -thinking out loud XD

Though..it seems like she is leaning forward.. so maybe make the umm her right arm longer, meaning on the left side of the pic.

I love the colouring, but the body looks squished. Ya know?

I would really like to suggest get a better scanner and scan it again? DX lol.
Because the anatomy really attracts my attention a LOT.

Hmm... but I think maybe you should uniform your style of highlights? Like the highlight on the hair(lineless flash) with the heart highlight(lined white flash)?

If you are aftering a much 3D or more depth art... then I would suggest building more layers of colour... shadows or highlight.

Weirdly though... I think the line works very nice with the wings but not as nice with the character. hmmm... maybe explore different linearts styles? :wink: Besides, I think the shoulder is a bit too sqaured... hmmm

and the background. DX sorry, I like a bit tidy lines. haha... *hides*

ooo the body and head seem squished *don't worry I already read what other people said and I know it's your scanner XD* but I love your coloring skills XD I don't color well... markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc ._.
