I'm afraid of heights. That's my phobia. If I go bouldering, I can't stand on the edge of rock. I don't like being on the side of a staircase where you can see the other stairs below. When I went up in the Arch in St. Luois, I could only stand in the middle. The prospect of being near those windows and looking down.... I don't even like going up very high on risers at football games. The way they shake and bend underneath you.... Lighthouses aren't good either. Especially if you have to climb up a spiral staircase.
I can no longer go on ski lifts because of this, and, therefore, I don't go downhill skiing anymore. But, cross-country is so much nicer in the first place.

When I was a young child, it was spiders. Now, I just hate them with a passion instead of screaming and funning away at the first sign of extra legs. These days, my biggest fear is something horrible happening to my daughter that I am powerless to prevent.

I'm really scared of being alone in the dark. When someone's with me, I'm perfectly fine, but I can't stand being alone.
I am also scared to die alone with nobody by my side.

When I was little, I was afraid of the dark. I would leave my door open and then go to sleep. Now I cannot stand it when light is on during the time when I am sleeping...
Lately though, it has been death that frightens me. I am afraid to lose my family and even to die myself, despite how much my mom tries to comfort me whenever I talk to her about it.
I did not use to cry during movies--unless it was really sad--but on several occasions if the movie had someone die or dying, I would get all choked up and even start crying.
I want to get over it, because I know that it will eventually happen, but for now it haunts me.

Another thing is Zombies or the living dead ::shudders:: I love watching those types of scary movies because they scare the heck out of me. I could never go into a grave yard at night. I know that nothing would happen and it was just my imagination but still I can not shake it.

Umm...Probably heights. ><; I'm terrified of them.
I'm also scared of abandonment and being alone. I hate it, I mean, I like quiet, and I like to be by myself, but I like to have someone in the house with me if I'm home, even if they're on the 2nd floor, and I'm in the basement. Just knowing someone else is there is so comforting.

Being alone is my biggest fear. I'm so use to be surrounded by close friends and family and the idea of everyone gone is so scary.

My biggest fear from childhood until now is living my life alone. I am scared that everyone I know and love will one day disappear and leave me (even my pets) for someone else or because of death.
Very sad thoughts...

Same with me. o__o
I rejoice to myself when I find out that I'll be home alone for a bit.
And I usually come up with an excuse to not go to the movies or a party. =.=

My biggest fear as a child? Hm... probably... death. I was always really afraid that one of my family members or my pets would die, and I would cry a lot at night and hope that they would be ok. After two sudden family deaths at age 12, I learned to cope, and I'm not afraid of it anymore. C:
Nowadays though... my biggest fear would be the ocean. I've grown to be extremely hydrophobic. I don't even like to go hang out at the beach, and the last time I did my friends tried to force me to walk to the end of the pier and... I did it, but it was HORRIFYING. I absolutely hate water, especially open water, because I never know what's below me. It's like a fear of heights, except... in water. And I don't actually fear heights, I enjoy them. xD Unless there's water under me.

I didn't really have a lot of fears as a child. I loved spiders and bugs and all the creepy crawly things.
When I was young, I lived in a house behind a cemetery, with a balcony overlooking it. That house had demons in it. We would never go upstairs after dark because we'd always end up getting hurt by things we couldn't see. Our parents of course thought it was all in our heads, but it was there.
My sister and I shared a room, and we'd often have the same visions of things coming from the windows. We'd never talk about it until the next morning though, and we always thought it was eerie that we both saw it. Things like this ranged from glowing eyes peeking from behind the closet then disappearing, to the worst case where a black claw reached from under the bottom bunk and up to the end of my sister's blanket on the top. Her blanket actually fell off the bed after that.
The strange thing was though, neither of us were really ever afraid. These things obviously wanted to hurt us, but we knew they could never do anything too bad.
In a more rational sense though, I've had depression since I was born, and of course at the time I had no idea what was wrong with me, and all throughout elementary school I had a disheartening fear that I would never grow up the same as everyone around me, because I thought there was something wrong with me. I got picked on a LOT in middle school because I was so weird. Years and years later, the doctor diagnosed me with acute autism. Fortunately for me, I've been struggling with it so much for my whole life and I've nearly overcome it. I can function fine nowadays. It's difficult and almost painful, but I can do it.

I guess social rejection and humiliation. I suppose everyone has those fears. It makes me shy, but not antisocial.

Spiders and fishhooks.
I am a recovering Arachnophobic. I used to check everything around me for spiders, from corners to couches, to my bedsheets at night. If I actually found a spider, I'd freeze in place and cry for at least half an hour, and I'd be useless for another hour or two.
I've gotten over the worst of it, but I still become very nervous around spiders. And if I find one when I am vulnerable (i.e. taking a shower), then I panic just like before. But I can handle most spiders in the outdoors now, at least.
As far as the fishhooks, my dad likes to fish, but is never careful with them. He leaves them all over the garage, and dangles them haphazardly while fishing. So I've become rather paranoid around them. But nothing ridiculous, like with the spiders.

Wow. That would scare the living daylights out of me! My mom went to a fortune teller once, and they told her that there were evil spirits living in our house. I don't believe it but... sometimes it can feel a little fishy. Like, when my friends come over wearing little tank tops or something, sometimes these little handprint like things show up in their skin.
D: Well uh. I don't think I'll elaborate anymore because I have to walk downstairs into a pitch black room... oh jeez I'm scared now.. (whimper)

My biggest fear(s) I had when I was a child I still have now.
I actually have a few phobias. -_-;
Needles, water, heights, and cough syrup.
The last one is a big strange yes, but it came from when I was always sick my mom had to practically pour it down my throat!
So now every single time anyone even *mentions* it I get sick to my stomach. T_T
