Ezekiel seemed pleased and he moved slightly but then stopped himself. He pulled away then to look at his hand. the rock was still imbeded in it and seemed to be bleeding worse now.

"I'm sorry but I have to take care of this," he said. It was too close really, she very nearly got what she wished for and if there were any consequences he wanted to avoid it was losing her.

Verona seemed to catch what was wrong, and looked down a bit.
She could wait.. she would. It wasn't like she was ripping to go either.. And considering who she was, you'd know she had never done such a thing.

Looking at his hand, Verona nodded. "We should.. I'll go get some gauze, and you put on some pants."

Dashing from the bedroom, she went downstairs to look for some bandages, only to find Sebastian.

Ezekiel turned bright red when he realized the clothing state he was in. He leaned over the side and grabbed some pants and quickly put them on. He felt like his scars were a bit to revealed now and he felt embarrassed.

Sebastian smiled slightly when he saw Verona come down the stairs. He went to the cabinet then and caught some of the materials for taking care of wounds down. "I see you didn't have a party up there," he joked.

"No," she said with a sour face. "He just won't give in."
She giggled a bit, as though to seem like she was joking, but wasn't.
What would everyone back home think of her?
Taking the items from Sebastian, she frowned a bit.
"Why don't you like me?"

"That's too bad... you'll catch him sooner or later, trust me on that one... I thought you hated me," Sebastian admitted. "But I think you're one of the most beautiful women I've ever met and deserve the utmost respect. I'm just bad with manners."

He flashed a grin then before digging through a small area that had a bit of food. He was almost always hungry but for now he was just looking for a small snack.

Beautiful..? That was odd.
"Thank you.." Verona said, her cheeks a pale pink color.
And then she ran back upstairs. She wasn't good with confrontations, or stuff like this.

Popping back into the bedroom, she smiled, and bounced onto the bed next to Ezekiel.
"Lemme see."

Ezekiel was wearing a button down white shirt now and looked to be attempting to hide his hand but it wasn't working. There was a red stain on his right sleeve where his hand was now.

"I'm sorry about this," he said. "It's just..."

He still wanted to kiss her and hold her but he ws resisting it. He looked down at his hand which looked like it had some dirt ground into it.

Shrugging, Verona took Ezekiel's hand, and began to wipe it down with one of the rags she'd gotten from Sebastian.
She stayed quiet for the most part, just working on Ezekiel's hand, being as gentle as she could.

Her sunburn had still yet to show.. But it would only be moments before she actually noticed. The pain would engulf her, along with the red.

"If you have a sunburn I would suggest not putting any creams on it since it traps the heat in," Ezekiel said wincing slightly. "Or at least that's what I've been told. Just get really cold."

He winced again and complained for a moment but shut his mouth. His ego was most definitely bruised at the present moment and he didn't need to make it any worse.

"Sunburn?" She asked. Placing one hand on her arm, her eyebrows raised, to see a white hand print.
Her lips puffed out into the usual pout.
"No!" She gasped. Sad as it was, she'd never had a sunburn before..
But even now, she continued to help Ezekiel with his arm. Now, only glaring down at his hand.

"I won't touch you," Ezekiel said.
He winced again as he felt a tiny piece of rock move across his hand. He smiled at her though and noticed her expression.
He used his free hand to lift her chin slightly and studied her eyes.
"You know you have the most beautiful eyes of anyone I know," he said.

And it hurt so badly, for him to even slightly touch her as so. But she showed now outward signs of it. Bad with emotions, good with pain?
Smiling slightly, Verona leaned in towards his face, giving him a light kiss.
And then, she moved back to his hand, pulling the rock out slowly.

"You know I only said that because I don't want to hurt you," he said gently. "I want you to be as safe as possible."
He winced slightly and almost yanked his hand back when he felt the rock moving again. He wasn't very good with pain all the time, especially when it was rocks that were imebeded in his hands.

Still not really speaking, Verona decided, if talking wouldn't get her what she wanted, surely the silent treatment would. Besides, she didn't have anything to say.

Yanking the rock from his hand, she tossed it aside, and began bandaging his hand, smiling to see some of the bleeding cease at least.

"Why are you being silent?" he asked in almost a pleading voice.
He was beginning to get worried and wondering what he'd done wrong. He felt a bit panicky all of a sudden, like someone had ripped something out of him and left a gaping whole.
"If you want to have the bed to yourself I'll sleep downstairs," he said softly. "I don't mind it."

Verona shook her head, and smiled lightly down on his hand, as she ties the left over bandage into a bow.
Her version of punishment was working at least.

Leaning into his chest, Verona wrapped her arms around him, closing her eyes..
She would see how he liked having an "animal" for a girl friend.. Or at least see what it was like when he was one.

Ezekiel looked entirely confused. He looked frightened too. He pushed her away slightly so he could study her face. He couldn't see anything, which confused him even more.

"Please don't do this to me," he begged. "Please don't leave... if I did anything I didn't mean it. I don't... I didn't want to hurt you."

Smiling, Verona looked down, rolling her eyes.
Pushing him down into the bed, she kissed him again, not as softly now, but then ceased, resting her head on his chest.
She listened to his heartbeat, so steady, yet paced quite quickly.
She was making him nervous, and she knew it now. Good.

Ezekiel finally squirmed out away from her. If she was going to be like this than he should just get away from her before she hurts him. He walked around to the bedroom door now and he could feel his heart racing.

"Will you stop teasing me like that," he said sternly. "It kills me to get treated like this. I don't want to lose you and you keep acting like that it's fooling with my mind."

Laughing now, Verona got up, and danced around him, grabbing his hands, and then taking him with her.
Why did he think he was going to lose her..?
Clearly, she wasn't going anywhere.

Holding him around the waist, she gripped him tight, and then released a bit, as if to say she wasn't going anywhere.
Really, she failed without talking.

He looked utterly confused now. The messages she was sending that was she wasn't going to leave but from past experience with girls, whenever they quit talking they were mostly likely angry and going to leave you the first chance they got.

"All right," he said. "If you don't tell me what you're angry about I'll go drive a knife through my arm." He wasn't serious about the second part but he couldn't think of anything that sounded more painful.

Pulling back from Ezekiel suddenly, Verona dropped her jaw, and then shook her head. She pointed to him, and then acted like she was stabbing her arm. Then she balled her hands into fists, and made a crying motion.
Basically, she said, "You do that, and I'll cry."
Simple enough.

"Then speak for god's sake," he snapped. "It's not like your an animal. You don't know how annoying that was but I felt more comfortable."

He was unraveling the bandage now just to prove his point. He would thrust a knife through his arm since Sebastian, who was most certainly stronger than him, would stop him.

When he manage to get the bandage off he slammed his hand, palm flat, against the door. He winced slightly since it hurt and he thought he felt something go under his skin, most likely a sliver.

Verona was being painfully dragged from her game as her throat begged to speak, to say anything.
She wouldn't lose.. She couldn't.. but she was.
"Then give me what I want!" She shouted at him, probably too loudly. Most like loud enough for Sebastian to hear.
Tears streaming down her face now, she began to wipe at them savagely, returning to silence.
She was actually, crying more about losing than anything.

He looked pained, very pained only it wasn't even from his hand being in pain. He let out a sigh. He moved forward than and wiped the tears away gently.

"It's not that I don't want it..." he said gently. "I just don't want things to go badly, I don't want to get your or my heart broken at all. Oh please don't cry and just speak. I love your voice, it calms me down. Please..."

He was about ready to give up and kissed her. He didn't stop though which had been his goal.
