Rolling her eyes, Verona dressed quickly and then tied her hair up. When she was done, she stuck her nose in the air, and stomped down the stairs.
What would he do when they were married? Hide in the bathroom.

Seeing Sebastian, she smiled and hugged him randomly.
"Morning!" She chimed as she released him.

Sebastian felt uncomfortable and looked to Ezekiel helplessly. He hated it when people touched him randomly like that and he backed away quickly. Ezekiel had just shrugged, not really being bothered by it because hew trusted Sebastian.

He sat down at the table though and relaxed slightly. Helen had food cooking and she put it down in front of them quickly before going outside.

Verona didn't even look at Ezekiel as she sat down. Didn't look at him when she got her food. Didn't look at him as she ate. Boy, she sure was a bit touchy today wasn't she?

Instead, she focused more on her food, devouring it quickly, then washing her plate, and stomping away.
She went outside, and began to wander around a bit.
The fresh air felt nice. Even if it was chilly, it helped..

Ezekiel looked helpless when he observed her acting. She had normally been so attached to him and now he didn't know what he had done wrong. He was losing his appetite slowly so he took small, very small, bites.

Sebastian noticed this and glared at Verona slightly. Sure she was pretty but she was injuring his own kind. "I'm sure she'll get over whatever you did," Sebastian finally said. "Now eat normally."

The wind and air, was in fact helping Verona as she closed her eyes. She had just been having a moment earlier but.. She just didn't understand Ezekiel. Was he uncomfortable around her?
It wasn't like she was naked under her clothes anyway.
She was only a bit confused. Or puzzled rather, that Ezekiel was just so... polite..
She wasn't exactly sure if she liked it..

After a bit, she went over to the house again, and leaned against one of the walls.
At least she was more calm now..

Sebastian watched Ezekiel for a while and then suddenly got up and slapped him. Apparently Ezekiel had started to change without realizing and snapped out of it when he was slapped. He looked ticked off now. He almost immediately took Sebastian by the collar and started to drag him outside.

As soon as he got out he took a good swing at Sebastian who was surprised. Sebastian noticed Verona at that moment and he immediately got back up and punched Ezekiel in the jaw too. "I didn't even touch her," Sebastian said.

Blinking, Verona was puzzled as to why the two punched each other. And what was Sebastian saying about touching her?
Verona didn't say anything though. She only smiled slightly, and began to pick apart a flower she'd taken form the side of the road.

She couldn't help but to find it a bit funny. Had Ezekiel thought that her and Sebastian were... No.
She could never do that to him. To anyone even..
Verona was better than that. Cheating, or even messing around like that was trashy..
For anyone to do that was just wrong.

Ezekiel ended up tripping Sebastian who managed to pull him down with. They were both laying on the ground now a little clueless and dazed. Sebastian had begun laughing though and managed to stand up.

Ezekiel didn't take it lightly and ended up knocking him down again. He picked Sebastian up by the colar this time, getting a few inches away from his face.

"You touch her again and I'll kill you," he hissed under his breath since he was aware of Verona now.

Sebastian was just then beginning to realize that Ezekiel had thought he was serious and looked a bit shocked with his hands raised. He just nodded in agreement and sighed when he was let down. Ezekiel walked away after that up the road a ways so he wouldn't have to actually confront Verona at the moment.

"Ezekiel!" Verona called after him. But he didn't seem too eager to listen.
"What was that about?" Verona asked Sebastian, walking towards him with a glare; he'd done something, she knew it.

"What did you tell him? And don't say nothing, because that's a lie. Why were you two fighting?"

She was a bit worried now, and kept glancing in Ezekiel's direction, to make sure he wasn't wondering too far.
But he seemed to be to her, and soon enough, she would have to chase him down.

"Answer me," she screamed.

"I slapped him," Sebastian admitted. "Because he was beginning to change and apparently that ticked him off. The rest was just a stage on my part because I could tell he felt like you were abandoning him."

He let out a slight sigh, shaking his head from left to right to get the slight dizziness to go away. He was watching Verona now as she reacted to his explanation. He grinned slightly since he could easily do what Ezekiel thought he had done.

"Well you need to get him to eat because he didn't eat much, too distressed."

Frowning, Verona had an upset look on her face. Great. Not only did he feel like she was abandoning him, but now, he though she was running off with Sebastian behind his back.

"Ezekiel!" She called again, kicking off her shoes, and running after him. "Ezekiel wait!"

Verona was obviously not a very good runner. She did in fact, run like a girl. But by the time they got back into town, she would be able to run long distances, no problem.

Catching up to him, she grabbed his arm, and stumbled a bit.
"Ezekiel, you're going to kill me one day.."
She looked up at him now. His face was a bit pink, but other than that, he was fine.
"What's wrong..?"

He shifted slightly so he caught her but he had a feeling he knew why she was here. He studied her face for a moment in silence. She was beautiful and he didn't deserve her in the least bit.

"Nothing..." he muttered before turning away slightly. He didn't want to be tortured by her if she was going to be like this. The probability of her running off with Sebastian... his cousin... was a bit too high in his opinion (then again any probability was too high.)

"Ezekiel.. It's not nothing, whatever it is.."
Taking his face in her hands, she forced him to look at her. She looked up at him, her face completely serious as she did so.

"Do you think me and Sebastian are..." She didn't even want to finish her sentence.
"Ezekiel.. If we were... Why would I have done what I did last night? To make things convincing?"

She wouldn't have done that, even if her life depended on it.. She could never make something like that... She could never pretend.

He wrapped his arms around her after she spoke. He was still silent though he was reassured. Why she'd hugged Sebastian that morning perplexed him though.

"Tell me why you didn't talk to me or look at me during breakfast," he asked in a solemn tone. "I don't want you to go away."

"Because-" She began. "You're being weird."
That was the truth too. He was being weird, with all of his, letting her dress by herself.
Any normal man would have gladly stayed in the room with her.. But Ezekiel just leaves.. It wasn't like he'd be seeing anything he hadn't already.

"That was my reason. Not because I was guilty of something. If you didn't notice, I didn't look at Sebastian really either."

"Oh," Ezekiel said a bit shocked. He still wasn't sure what he'd done to be classified as weird. If it was the changing thing, he'd learned that a while ago. He'd had a girl attack him when he'd stayed in the room and now he just always left. Then again he held a lot of respect for Verona.

"I respect you," he said after a moment. "So if I'm being weird just tell me straight out rather than scare me like that."

Inhaling sharply, Verona had another completely serious look about her.
"Am I not pretty?" She asked him. "I am beginning to think I'm not."

Of course any man in their right mind would tell her that she was. And they wouldn't be lying. But apparently by Verona's standards, she wasn't pretty enough.. Or something like that.

Still looking up at him, Verona pulled away from him. She tried to make herself look big and mighty, although she wasn't very good at it.
She was after all, much shorter than Ezekiel.

"Of course you're not pretty... you're goregous," he said with a slight grin. "Pretty is a very large understatement for your beauty."

He had reached out for her again when she had pulled away. He was certain that he could easily change whatever folly he'd committed. He took her hand gently and lifted to his lips and kissed it softly.

Pouting still, Verona allowed Ezekiel her hand. She would let him have that much at least.
"Then why don't you want to look at me?"
Now she sounded like a dumb little girl. 'Then why won't he look at me mommy?'
"I mean.. You say I'm so beautiful.. But I don't feel beautiful." Wow. She sure was pulling things from her behind now wasn't she?

If anything, Ezekiel made her feel like she was the most beautiful woman in the entire world.
Now, she was a dumb little girl.

"You're doing it again.." he said with an exasperated sigh. "I make promises to give people privacy when they're changing and now you're practically demanding me to watch you." He had let out a sigh after that and looked overwhelmed like he wasn't exactly sure what to do. He looked at her with a pitiful expression.

"You are the most beautiful woman I've ever met," he said after a moment. "Inside and out."

"I'm not demanding you to watch," she corrected. "I'm just saying that it's...odd..."
Shrugging a bit she looked down. By now, she didn't care if she was beautiful or not.
"I mean, I wasn't naked under there or anything, and even if I had been, it shouldn't have mattered. What will you do if we get married? Cover your eyes?"

Mad now, Verona's cheeks were stained with salty tears. Curse her small, little, girlie temper.
Although, she hadn't even noticed her tears at all.
"I mean, am I not good enough to look at!?"

Another breakdown huh? Two in a row! Three strikes, and she's outta there!

Marriage? He hadn't thought about that for a few hours. He just smiled at her and her girlie ways, brushing the tears away gently as he studied her eyes. He wasn't even sure if he'd e allowed to marry her now that he'd gotten into that whole fiasco.

"Trust me," he said gently. "I'm taking precautions because I don't want to upset you. I'll b fine being in the same room as you when we're married. It' just now it's a slightly uncomfortable situation before... due to past experiences."

Verona's jaw sort of dropped in a way as she stared up at Ezekiel.
She quickly smacked away his hands, and then began back towards the house.

"What does he mean by uncomfortable?! After all of this- NO! Forget him. I'm going back to the city alone, and that's the way I'll stay!"

Woah woah! Huh? Was she saying that things were...over for the two of them?
That was what it looked like.

"As usual, this is how my life ends up! No one can seem to understand anything I ever say!"

It was over then, huh?

Ezekiel looked a bit shocked. He started after her then. He was desperate almost now. She'd been the only one who'd treated him decently and now she was leaving again. He cursed himself and the clothes he wore.

"Please don't leave," he said in a pleading tone. "Do you want me to fully explain it or do you want me just to stay in the room next time?"

He'd do it to keep her if he had to. She was doing it to him again and it hurt too much. He felt himself changing again and it was torturing him because he couldn't stop himself. He stopped in his tracks and knelt down trying to focus more but he was struggling. He started crying at that point, sobbing really. He'd never truly cried in his life and it seemed like every emotion he ever felt was being poured out at that one moment.

Verona was actually, ready to lash back out at Ezekiel, ready to make him feel upset.. But, it seemed like she'd already torn him to shreds..

"Ezekiel..." She whispered after a moment.

She wasn't exactly sure what to say.. She actually wanted to leave him... And though, it was indeed hurting her as well, nothing stung quite as harshly as seeing him cry.
Falling to the ground in front of him, she lifted his chin.

"Please... Please don't cry Ezekiel..."
