I was just sittin here thinking about changing my avatar's hair but I couldn't do it. I get weirdly attached to their hair on sites like this. So I started thinking about why that is, and I realized it's because I am attached to the way my real life hair is.
I have really long blonde hair. When I was younger I used to change things up all the time and have all kinds of cute and sometimes faddish big haired styles. (Hey it was the 80's.) I would even get tired of being blond and dye it other colors. But over the years I let my hair grow really long because I thought I could do all sorts of cute styles with it. I have a whole drawer full of adorable barrettes and headbands and even a couple flowers from Hawaii, but I never use them.
When I am workin I will throw it up in a messy bun with a couple chopsticks stuck in it but that's about it.
So my question is...how often do ya change your hair around? Is it a drastic change? Do you cut and color it a lot or do ya just use fun accessories?

Oh every few years or so. I started dying my hair in sophomore year of high school, with one dye job and two separate highlight sessions. I had a third highlight job done last year for my birthday, so I don't mess with it much. I also cut my hair once a year or so.

Have you ever dyed it a wild color? What is your natural shade?

I used to change my hair style and color all the time when I was younger. All kinds of spikey hair styles, and bright colors. Loved it then, but now I think I looked stupid >.<
I stick with the same color and style now. My hair is long, to the middle of my back, curly, and colored a pretty golden color that my roots blend into (Yey for not having to dye it!). I just leave it down for the most part. When I need it out of my face I throw it into a quick ponytail.

Hmm...REALLY change, like new cut and whatnot? I usually do that once a year. I'm about due to do it again...I have an idea of what I want to do already. X3 Basically, it involves separating my hair into a top and bottom half, and having the top half cut short with fancy layering, and leaving the bottom half long...looks better in my head than I can describe it, sadly. ^^;
Minor changes, though? Pretty much every time I go on a JRock video watching spree, to tell the truth. And yes, I DO have crazy hair. XD;;
The only thing I won't do with it, though, is cut it so that it's ALL really short. My hair, at its longest point, comes down to the middle of my back - and I LIKE it that way. No one is going to change that. Hell, a while ago I was having a nasty scare with headaches...and I kept saying "if they have to shave my head for surgery or anything, I'm using the longest wig I can until my hair is long enough for extensions." Nothing happened, obviously...but point is, me + short hair = no.
My hair, naturally, used to be a medium-dark red/auburn color. It looked like a dull brown indoors, though...which sucked, because I was never a fan of the sun. >.<; Recently, though...for some reason, it's growing in a MUCH darker shade - basically black with a reddish undertone. I find it quite strange...
Right now, it's that shade of black, with a gold blonde/dirty blonde mix on the top layers in back. I like it...but I could like it more. That's why I have plans for a new style. ;p

Umm... I've cut my hair short, but then it's in the exact same style that it is while it's long. Hah. But I'm letting it grow out again; I don't look very good with short hair.
Yeah. The most I really ever do is occasionally cut my bangs as a result of boredom at 3:00 AM.
And I dye it from time to time. I like my hair dark red. It fades quickly and ends up more of an auburn, but whatever...
And I don't care much about style anyway, because the second my hair is long enough to put up I put it in a ponytail and never take it out. XD I hate my hair!

Not much. I've always preferred growing my hair long and keeping it long.
Recently for some strange reason I grew tired of the simple long hair and decided to go for something...
I've always been a fan for lolita based hair and I wanted those curls and such.
But realized what a hassle those would be everyday of your life.
So I decided for the hime cut. Other than the fact the hair style was like extremely... familiar for some very odd reason. I was just so at home with the idea like it had been something with me for a bit and decided to go for it.
My bangs are kind of strange right now so I'll let them grow for now.
Perhaps pre December or so I'll have the real hime cut by then.
:3 For now, it's a frustrated Yue Ying (DW6) like hair cut. XD;

I've never dyed my hair. I tend to grow my hair long and then if it gets too hot in the summer I cut it to shoulder length. Or if I'm feeling really wacky I cut it to shoulder length in the winter, but I've only done that a couple times. That's about as crazy as I get with changes. Other then that I do change how I style it quite often. Most of the time I opt for down or in a pony tail because I have labs at school. Sometimes I braid it, put in pigtails, or waves and crimping/curls (which are extremely difficult to get to stay in my hair). Side pony, half pony, half pigtails... Yeah I like to try differnet things every now and then.
So yeah mostly my hair changes in how I style it but nothing too drastic (although maybe purple streaks could be fun :D ).

No I haven't dyed it a wild color YET...the only time I did was with that temporary highlight bottle called "Hot Head." Didn't work out too well. I'm going to streak my hair temporarily pink for a concert I'm going to though. And my natural hair color is dark brown, almost black.

You know I've never not had bangs either. For the first time in my life I am tryin to grow them out. I have no idea why I've always had them. My hair is long and semi-curly almost down to my waist with Barbie bangs.

well every now and then.. I don't do any big changes usually, just color my hair with a color or two and cut bangs or something like that :3
in summer I usually cut my hair shorter, because I can't stand the heat D: the burning in my neck.. >.<
now I'm just growing my hair longer for my wedding day ^^

When I wasn't used to my bangs yet, I would find that they would often tickle my nose and I would end up sneezing a lot. XD;
I had them trimmed so they would stop tickling my nose. Besides they weren't evenly cut at first.
It was supposed to be a diagonal curve over my forehead but when I had my hair washed and it was post cut and all, my hair just parted in the middle like that.
So yeah... Diagonals? Not for me.
>w<; Hence frustrated Yue Ying hair.

I dye my hair every month or so or when the colour I have wears out. I haven't had my natural hair colour since middle school since I get bored with it easy. I don't like cutting it differently though so I only get it cut once a year.

I used to be notorious for changing my hair all the time!
Every other week it'd be completely different; new style, new cut, new colour.
I've been growing my hair out for a while now, but I still like to change the colour a lot; I tend to skip between purple, black, silver or just brown.
I know dying it so much is supposed to be really bad for my hair, but it's still soft, shiny, strong and managable.

I hardly ever change it. It was short for years then I grew it out to my butt for years. and then I got it cut to my midback my senior year in highschool and right before I went off to college I cut it about my shoulders. That's my whole life of hair lmao XD

I often don't change my hairstyle. My favorite hairstyle is braided pigtails, and it has been like that for over three years. My older sisters keep telling me to stop wearing pigtails, because to them it is so kiddish.
Sometimes I might wear my hair out, or have it in a side ponytail.

I change mine pratically never. There's just not much my hair will agree to, so i keep it simple. The biggest change i've had recently was a christmas, when i had a sort of fringe put it in.

I never change the color and length my hair is naturally (except for trimming split ends off), so my hair is long and red like my avis (except mine's wavy/curly and not as long as hers). I always brush my hair when I'm in the shower because that makes it more managable. When I brush it out of the shower it's like *fwooom* and poofs up really big. I also braid it in the shower and sleep with the braids in. That way it doesn't get frizzy when I sleep since it's still drying.
Usually I either wear my hair down, in two braids, or up in a bun. I think I want to try wearing it in a half ponytail soon though, that would be pretty. I see some people who are really good at putting chopsticks in their hair and I just don't get it. They always fall out of my hair. I must be doing something wrong.
I used to hate my hair and work my butt off to straighten it, but now that I'm not trying to make it something it's not and have found a good system for taking care of it, I love my hair. I wouldn't be able to cut or dye it without crying :lol: .

I almost never bother to change my hairstyle.
It's always the dull dirty brownish color, and the harstyle's the same.
Maybe It's because I don't have time to do anything to it..
Like I said, I never bother.
It's been like this for as long as I can remember o.O

Like never.
I have thin, blonde (well now it's red, but that's the only thing I ever change) hair that doesn't grow out past my shoulders.
It's a bitch to style, and when i do it usually doesn't work because my hair is so thin.
However, I've been seriously considering getting hair extensions to make my hair about 10 inches longer. i have always wanted long hair, but my hair just won't grow. Hair extension are very expensive ($200+) but I make about $1,300 a month, and I don't pay rent or bills, so it's not like I don't have the money.
Hair extensions last for 3+ months without maitenence. Which means that if I get them maintained, they will last longer than that. Not bad, in my opinion. Also, because of modern technology and stuff, hair extensions actually protect your hair, not damage them.
So, I may be changing my hairstyle in a few months!

My hair doesn't hold a curl. D:
I wish it did. To make it curly I have to bathe it in hairspray then sizzle it with a curling iron.
Not my idea of fun.

I dye my hair often, but usually nothing major anymore. Always a variation of my reddish natural color, but I used to go black, or highlighted lighter red (my hair would NEVER go blonde no matter what I did to it lol). I used to try different styles, but nothing "fancy". Now though almost 75% of the time I just put it in a pony and it stays that way until it gives me a headache lol. Then I just take it down and leave it. I am trying to grow it even longer (is almost middle of my back now) and when it gets long enough to make me happy, most likely I will just have it in a braid all the time.
