I am doing fine and dandy. Went and saw IronMan again today. My daughter wanted to see it since she didn't go with my son and I on Friday. Did a little shopping and remembered why my daughter and I rarely go shopping or anywhere for that matter together for long periods of time. But I'm doing great actually :)

I worked around the house all day, got all my plants moved out on to the porch. Then I made a big dinner of chipolte lime chicken that you grill for a couple hours on the barby and spiced potato wedges and mandarin oranges. It was good!

Ruby_Dawn: It was excellent. I really enjoyed it both times. My daughter (she's 14) said it was "ok" but I think she liked it. She was more in to the Narnia movie but eh... oh well.

Blondheart: That sounds wonderful. I think maybe tomorrow I will make jerk chicken or something. I haven't full on cooked a big dinner in a while. I did manage to get all of my plants watered today. I try not to neglect them. I have a fern that has one sad little sprout and that's it. I'm surprised it is still alive at all.

I absolutely detest cooking. My husband and I had a deal that he would always cook when we got married. He kept that deal for about 15 years. But now that he works so late and is so tired, I have started doing it. I still hate it but every once in a while I get that Donna Reed urge.

I haven't seen Ironman. I wasn't sure I thought he would make a good super hero. But I do want to see Narnia. I heard it was better than the original.

I only need five more buds! :boogie:

Ruby_Dawn: By the time we got out of Walmart this evening I was ready to kill her. We are very different people and so we have times where we just simply do not see eye to eye on things. The mother-daughter relationship adds to that of course.

Blondheart: I actually love to cook but at the same time I have to have a reason to cook. Yes yes I know, sustinance for the family is a reason but I like to cook for big gatherings of people and all that goes in to it. Even if a big gathering is for about 6 people. I completely suck at making things for bake sales and kid stuff though. I love to bake too but I just don't know.. .I'm not motivated to be the PTA type mom.

As far as IronMan, Robert Downey Jr did an excellent job.

I only have 20 buds on this account and three orchids. They don't seem to like this Safari browser much or I'm missing them.

Not to mention the fact that she is just being 14. We are all slightly evil at that age. :sarcasm:

So are you enjoying the jubilee?

Thank you Ruby, I have 4 more now...

Yes, she has her evil streak. I'm so proud  The really angsty stuff is yet to come. I can't wait til she gets a boyfriend :sarcasm: Right now her world is all about her and her friends and no one else. She's slightly selfish but yet not. Hard to explain.

No I genuinely believe kids are loads different now than we were because their lives are different. They are exposed to more things.

What is INFP Madeline? And I am sure you were a perfect angel at 14...perfect!

Kids ARE different. I know if I pulled some of the stunts she pulls, I would have not had a pleasant reaction from my parents AT ALL. It would have been ugly. I don't let her get away with much though.

An INFP is:

Quote:
INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

I don't remember now but the home page is here: http://www.mypersonality.info/

It takes about 10 minutes or so. It's not the full on Myers-Briggs test, although I score the same regardless of what personality test I take.
