I code my posts because normal font is too large for me. I rather look at smaller font for some odd reason. and I like the light green color too! I don't mind smaller font in any color if it's easily readable but it's also easier to distinguish my post from others.

I chose size 10 because it's not too small and not too big. For some weird reason I don't like the set size of 9, it feels too small for me. I chose green because not a lot of people use green especially a lighter green. I would've used a light blue, but lots of people use a blue font. :3

I already posted in here, so I have a question... how do you get tektek to auto format it for you on Menewsha? xD

I do it mostly for so that if I need to look for my post somewhere, I can find it. I also like to think it can make it easier on people who are talking to me to find my posts. I usually stick with small bold print because I like the look of it more. Color can vary depending on where I am, what I'm feeling like or the time of year.

I don't actually code my posts on here...the only one that I used a little bit of coding for was my quest thread, to change the font color and for titles and such...

Maybe I should start using it, normally I do use a different color and size 9 font, I think I use it to help show my personality, and the smaller font always just seems neater to me.

Uh, I don't put code in my posts because I'm lazy and I tend to forget. For a little while I tried to have color in it, but since I kept forgetting I just decided to forget it officially. I only did the color because I thought it looked pretty.

I code because I think it makes my posts prettier and because I like to make my text match my avatar (it ties everything together in an aesthetically pleasing manner_. It also makes your words easy to pick out on a page if you are scrolling down and wish to find your post quickly without using the search bar. Sometimes I also code for emphasis, or to make a point stick out. It gives you a tiny bit more gold, but I think that's not really enough of a reason by itself, because you could always just type an extra sentence and it would be just the same. I dunno, I think the biggest reason I do it is just that I really like bright colors and little text is easier on my eyes. The bold is to make the small text easier to read.

I like to code my posts mainly for the font size.
I don't like the default size, so I code my posts to make it size 9.

But when I create a board or something in relation to that, I usually bold or use other codes to emphasize what I write or stuff like that.

I don't use codes to boost my gold.. I don't really care if we get gold for codes. xD;;

I don't really code it unless I need to.

Although I do like the smaller font, so I might be using it :).

But I always disable smiles. I love the smiles, but I just like my posts sans emotes.

I just like coding my post especially when it is dark red because it matches my avi.

I am wanting uniqueness.

@toria
Most definitely...I don't even consider bolding or italicizing for effect to be remotely the same as "coding"

Evefarrel's post brings me to my next question:
How can people say "uniqueness" when they pick colors like "darkred" or "blue." Obviously there are a lot of people who use that exact same color...

I always think I would like to use size 9 font and pink font, but I never remember, or maybe I am just too lazy.

I used to do it to make my font a bit more readable with the color I liked, but then I realized plain ol' black works just fine.
I dont care about aesthetics, as long as my message gets across. :3

On Gaia I used to use flob thingies when I had firefox on my old computer.
But then firefox was being weird. So I had to use IE and then I got too lazy to retype my codes. xP

And now I'm too lazy to redownload a toolbar for firefox on my new computer, so my posts are just default.

I'm just lazy. xD

Haha. I'm sorry that some user did that to you. It isn't a big deal, atleast not in my eyes, unless you're on gaiaonline in the chatterbox being smothered by oh please get me this item because of yadadada. :|

As for my coding, I think it depends upon my mood. Sometimes I type in size 11 and sometimes I type in size 1O. It is honestly whichever looks the best to me for that specific day. I don't always type in color because it is a hassle to keep up with, but if I am making a thread then I'll post colors to make it look all unique and attractive. ^^;

I don't code because I don't feel any need to. My messages get my point across perfectly fine without any codes, and I'm too lazy to code every post if I don't need to.

How much more gold do you get from coding?

I am just used to it. I like to do it to match the colors my avi is in. I do not think I could imagine doing it any other way my self. If I send it threw and I forgot to do anything to it *I sometimes do when I am in a hurry or multi tasking* I feel all naked and immediately have to edit the post and fix it.

I just usually post normal...but I guess some users would do it to get a little extra gold boost, you know? Or to get someone's attention. ^^

Same here XD I'm like "Eep, quick, fix!".

Of course, it doesn't quite match my avatar. But I hope that in the future it will XD
Pink is just sort of my trademark with this 'character'. Pink, white, and brown.
Yar.
Mostly pink and brown. But mostly pink.

See? Ish LazyKat! Only LazyKat the cat has more white than pink and brown, but that's because white hearts just look odd to me.

I didn't start coding until recently though, because I thought you couldn't use custom hex colours. But you can, and that made me happy. I didn't like violet on the defaults.

I think size 9 is cute. :3
I usually use the colour picker extension on Firefox to pick out a colour on my avi to use for my font, but right now I am cloning someone so I'm using her font colour. :3 It matches anyways, so it's all good.

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest...

...I code my posts for the tiny bit of extra gold.
No other reason.
I really am that much of a gold whore!

I don't code my posts often. If I do, it's usually because I find a fondness for a color, or I found that it cutely matched my avatar at the time. Sometimes I'll do it for holidays.

Otherwise, I rarely code. The little bit of gold is pretty useless to me. While I don't do it often on Menewsha, on sites like Roliana and gaia it never helps me at all. xD Roliana...I have a habit of making posts that go beyond the max gold you can make in one post, so adding coding never does any good anyway. It wastes my time. xD

But here, I don't bother with it except on holidays or matching avatars. That's the only reason I really see for it. I know a lot of people who enjoy a bit of extra gold from the coding though.
