Oh, geez. My friend taught me to knit with a rhyme about "Jack and his scarf." "In through the front door and out through the back, grab his scarf and off jumps Jack!" The terrible, immature jokes I made about front and back doors that night. Terrible, terrible immature jokes.

I should use that rhyme with my friend. I tried to teach her one time and she just completely SCREWED it up.

And the same exact jokes would be made.

Because people who make terrible jokes? Are the fun people.

I would totally recommend that for teaching knitting. It did actually help me. It would have been nice to have something like that for teaching my friend how to sew. Maybe I should google teaching rhymes..?

It's been awhile since I've posted in here. How is everyone doing and how are your projects coming along? :D

I've been completely lame and ceased all crafting because we've got an extra person staying with us and I don't seem to be able to find the time -- or the room, in this tiny house -- to do anything lately! oof

I'm hoping to get up the gumption to make something for Jeryck and Cessy's 'make an alien' contest this week, though.

I have projects lined up, but no time to make them.

And no opportunity to post pics until I get a new laptop (right now am borrowing Mom's).

I ordered more yarn online yesterday.
Because more yarn. . . is totally what I need more of.

Oh if I bring home any more yarn, my mother will use it before I get home from work the next day. I'll have to wait until I've moved in with my boyfriend before I start bringing home new yarns.

Nope.
Mostly she makes scarves for herself or her friends.

Which I don't really grudge.

But it's my yarn! And sometimes I do buy it with a specific project in mind. I just don't always have the time to get to that project right away.

I bought these cute little embellishments from work today and I can't wait to try them out on my crochet purse project, which is up next! I hope they work out well so that I can go back and buy the rest that we have.

I whish I was as cool as you guys and all crafty like :(

Guys. Guys. The bear. The bear is dooooone. It's knitted and felted and now is in the process of drying. And then I have to put on eyes and the nose, so... not QUITE done, but still. :P

I finished making an orange Domo all he needs is his mouth and eyes.......eventually I will get the felt for those two things.

I found a tote bag pattern that I was thinking of altering so that the face looked like Domo instead of what it is. And then maybe do a Creeper one too.

I like to write out ideas / projects on a list to keep track of what I'd like to make some day and then pick which one I'd really like to do as my next project.
