Revive, I say!
*splashes water on the thread*
So, I figured that I would share my latest project with you guys.
I've always wanted a winter hat with ear flaps, so I rummaged through a yarn sale at Joann's and found a pattern online that was usable. I ended up making quite a few changes as I went along, but I quite like how it turned out:

1. The craftiest I ever get is making the colored string friendship bracelets (of which I'm wearing two right now.)
2. Knerd - That hat is the shit! Not to mention green and black are my favorite colors.

Thanks guys!
I'm planning to make another one with bulkier yarn and give it to my boyfriend. Any suggestions for patterns or style changes? The one I just finished is rather simple and plain.

Hi! I'm kinda new here on Menewsha. I decided to search 'Knitting' in the forums because it's my number one hobby! It looks like you guys have a lot of great things to share. I have both Stitch 'n Bitch books and have made numerous things! I've made things like scarves, hats, stuffed animals, slippers and different toys. When I find pictures, I'll come back and post them.

Hi! Do you mind if I jump in? I just joined menewsha a day or so ago. I sew, crochet, paint, knit a wee bit, make jewelery occasionally.... Basically if it involves arts and crafts I do and/or have done it! :) That's a sweet hat by the way... :)
Saddly, I've never seen the Stitch 'n Bitch books, though. T_T

We have a few of those books at my library - unfortunatley i crochet and I'm not impressed with their crochet books.
I'm working on a blanket right now for my not-yet-brother in law - I'll have to take a picture of it when I get it finished.
I also just found the cutest crochet can cozy pattern I think I'm going to attempt -
The pattern is called Pirate Can Cozy and is available for free on Lionbrand.com - but you can't see it unless you join (which is also free)

Hi! And thanks! It's ok, I've usually got a lot of school work to do anyway. :) I have been crocheting for ............... like 15 years or something (since I was like 8). If have questions or whatever, maybe I can help. I am also a co-leader of a family living 4H club. We do sewing, crocheting, and embroidery mostly but just recently added an art part and some knitting. :)

Cool, I'm glad to see more people hanging around here!
I've been knitting and crocheting for a few years now. I'm not horribly good, but I can whip up hats and bags without a second thought. My big projects right now are a pair of socks for myself and a pair of bunny slippers for my roommate.

ohh. . bunny slippers sound cute!
Things that work in circles are what get me confused - I'm not very good at marking rounds and the like so I get myself all muddles and things turn out lopsided.
Blankets and scarves I cnd bang out real quick - I've made a couple of ponchos and 2 shawls a baby hat (that was huge because of my gauging issues but he'll grow into it) and a super simple baby sweater . . . I would love to make myself a sweater someday

aww, I should try bunny slippers sometime!
I used to be scared to try rounds and turning in knitting but I just had to take the time to understand and see how it was done.

@siaasgn, that is the most awesome thing I've seen all day, and probably will stay that way. I've been wanting to take up crochet lately, it seems like something I need, as opposed to all the embroidery I'm used to. My mom tried to teach me once, but it seemed so free form (compared to what I was used to) my brain couldn't handle it, lol. Oh well, I'm sure I can find a good place to learn, somewhere.

I guess the different kinds can be confusing? There are some good books around. I have this book that is designed to show you exactly each step. You can probably find some good videos online too.
So I've found some pictures of just a few of the things I've made in the past:
^^This actually comes straight from one of the Stitch 'n Bitch books. The One Hour Baby Booties. They really only take one hour ^_^
^^I kinda just made the striping up on my own.
^^I found this pattern for Elefante on Ravelry.com
^^I found these two patterns on craftster.org
Just a couple of the things I can make. I have tons of stuff. I'm about to put my crafting blog in my signature ^_^

The animals are soooo cute!! :) I am working on an afghan and a scarf right now. The afghan is round with a spiraling pattern. You basically have to work both colors in a round until you get it as big as you want. It's going to be so sweet if I ever get it done!! :)

my grandma tried to teach me knitting when i was younger. i think i was able to just knit row after row without changing anything. i would have probably just made a never-ending scarf XD
In return, *I* taught my grandma to cross stitch.
My first major cross stitch was a rose when i was 8. it took me forever, cos it was quite a complicated design.
i've only recently decided to try knitting again.
there is a shop where i live called hawkin's bazaar and it sells lots of random things in it like old fashion toys and gadgets etc
there was an awesome thing in there called a cap-puchino. it was a starbucks shaped cappuchino cup with wool inside it, a pattern for making a woolly hat and a pair of needles sticking out the top. it was adorable lol
i finished that, and even though it's bigger than it should be, i love it <3
my next task is to knit the LittleBigPlanet Sackboy that was in a knitting magazine before christmas. I'm a bit of a gamer, and it will be the perfect project if i can get it right.

You know what pattern I've been dying to try out?

I think I'll wait until this summer to give it a whirl, though. I already have so many projects going on. :XD

Oh, my gosh! Those are absolutely adorable! :) Makes me wish I could knit better... :sarcasm: I ran out of yarn for my scarf and had to go buy more. T_T It's taking way more than I thought it would. At this rate, it will be warm before I get it finished...

Those look awesome!
I wish I had more time to knit right now. School takes up so much time!
Hopefully I'll be able to knit this for one of my friend's dogs.
It's from one of the Stitch 'n Bitch books.
I think it'll be exciting!

Hello fellow Stitchers!
Mind if I join you, and just... crochet over in this corner here?

Hi there! Mind if I join you in that corner? I'm working on a really simple scarf right now. Basically, just for something to do when I get bored. I also have a lapghan started. It's a spiraling thing that requires crocheting with two colors at the same time.. sort of. Are you working on anything?
