So like, if you can handle a dog well, you can graduate to an infant? I like that. The pet hierarchy is: goldfish > hamster > cat/dog > baby. Babies are complicated pets...things...:ninja: though. I'm happy to just borrow one for a night and then send her back to my sister when I get bored. :lol:
But the problem with adoption is that the process of being approved and allowed to have a baby or child is so complicated and drawn out. And then, even after the child is legally yours, I think the biological parents can sometimes randomly decide that they want it back and can take you to court. That'd be totally heartbreaking. That's why it annoys me that famous people can adopt all these kids just because they're famous. e_e

Not completely finalized. More of.....a pretty decided A or B set of plans, and we're pretty positive that either one or the other will become a reality. o_o; But that's still good. Its like, either we're staying in town, or we're going to Oklahoma. I really don't want to go to Oklahoma. But she doesn't want to live by herself, and she's been one of my best friends for years, so, we'll work it out. ^_^

Things are going pretty good. Christmas shopping is taking up a lot of my time, you know, but I'm having fun. This is the first year I've really had the cash to buy presents for all the people I want to buy for, so its exciting. ^^ And I love Christmas anyway.
I had a list of eleven people that I started off with, and now I'm down to 5 and I still have almost $80 left in my budget, so I'll do alright. ^^ Like I said, its going to be a cut down Christmas, but its the thought that counts. :P

Nah, it's just a priority of desires, I suppose? I've always wanted to own my own dog, but our family's always too busy, and we usually travel during the summer. So mostly, it's no one would ever be home, or the traveling with a pet on the air plane every year would be too much work.
I didn't know that though, about the biological parents being able to take a case to court to get their child back. D8 It makes sense.. but, I agree that if that ever happened to my adopted child, I'd be completely heartbroken.

The only thing between my birthday and my sister's birthday is that we're exactly three weeks apart (though I don't know about the exact hour/time), and that my mom was barely in labor before my sister came out, while I took forever, which actually says something about our polar opposite personalities. I don't think that should be allowed. I don't think it makes any sense and I definitely don't think its fair. I mean, if you give a baby up for adoption, it should be a binding thing. The people who take your infant into their lives like it was their own shouldn't be treated as some kind of babysitters that only get your child until you get your life back on track or until you grow up or whatever. Once you've made the choice to let your baby go, that should be it. :<

So she's really really not used to being away from him, and she doesn't want to live in a separate state. But, we ARE basically on the border so I don't see how it would be such a horrible separation. >_>

Yes, all fair points and ones that I feel the same way about, but I guess it's cuz of movies I've watched or something, like.. for cases if the adopted child ever goes into a family that for some reason or other ends up not treating the adopted child as their own or just horribly in general..
