My best friend is having a baby on Monday. ^^

On Monday? Wow, that's really soon. :3 Is it a boy or a girl (or is she wanting to be surprised)?

It seems really sudden to me (though I'm nearly used to it now) because we hadn't talked for nearly a year, so I didn't know she was pregnant until just like three weeks ago. o_o;

Its a boy. She's happy about that because she said she doesn't think she could handle a girl once it got older. :lol:

We won't find out what we're having until April 9th, but then we'll start buying the stuff we need. I'm so freakin' excited. I really am. I nearly flail just talking about it.

I found out only a few days before her shower, and I really love her you know because she was like my first friend when I moved here, and she was one of my only friends when I left school. We stopped talking because we got into a disagreement, and I wanted to put that behind us, so I went to buy her some presents and ended up spending almost $200....I got so excited that I just started tossing things from her registry list into my cart left and right, plus baby things are SO expensive. :o

I've never had a baby, but I get so excited when someone I know has one, so I can only imagine how hyped up I'll be if I ever get pregnant. :lol: I definitely want a little girl. I used to babysit and I always got along better with girls. Little boys make me nervous. >< My older sister waited to find out with her youngest daughter until she was born, and I've got no clue how she did it. I know I'll want to find out what it is as soon as possible, because waiting and wondering would drive me insane!

I have to run off for a while too, but I hope I can chat with you again sometime. :yes:

I don't know if I'll be there when she's having him or if I'm coming up to the hospital afterwards. My mom is really fond of her though--she calls her her adopted daughter and my friend calls my mom 'mama' lol--so we might stay with her. I really think we should come up after she has him though...if it was me, I wouldn't want a bunch of people gawking at me while I was in labor. O_o

Well, its sad of course, but we knew this could happen, you know? He was 2 but he was born with a heart problem, and he nearly died in the first surgery they did when he wasn't very old. Since then he has a breathing machine and has to be fed through a tube...he was going to have another surgery soon, but I guess his heart just didn't make it. :(
