My sister and I once (kind of) accidentally found a creek with huge boulders along it near our house, a long while ago. But now the community management or whatever has the woody areas closed off to trespassing, so we can't go visit the creek anymore.. And I was soo looking forward to taking more pictures, or even just spending some time there laying on the rocks and reading or something. T^T

That seems to be happening around here a lot lately. People jump at the chance to sue anyone for anything and the city and parks and recreation committee or whatever has to change everything to cover their ass. :[

Its like. When I was little, my favorite park had these bouncy swinging bridges that connected the two main play structures. And if you ran across them, it felt like you were flying cause you'd bound through the air. It was so fun.
So when I was thirteen, this little kid was jumping in place on one of them, which you aren't supposed to do, but he was doing it anyway. :roll:
The bridge...got pissed...and threw him off, and he hurt his ankle. His parents tried to sue the city, and they lost I guess, but they took the bridges out anyway, and the gigantic slide, and the merry-go-round, and the high monkey bars because they were too fun to be considered safe by over-protective parents and a city council who was afraid they were going to get sued again. :stare:

There used to be a huge stone slide in the park nearby.
It wasn't something to encourage kids to do, but it wasn't something dangerous either, my sister, cousins, and I used to run up the other end of the slide to get to the top for fun. Sure the stone was smooth to make it slippery, but the most that could happen if you didn't make it to the top is you'd slide down like usual. >.> I'm not sure if maybe some kid managed to get hurt, but they one day redesigned the park and took that slide out. The park looks more pleasing to the eye now, I guess, but it lost it's more.. natural, native? feel. *sigh*

Yeah...like...this slide I was talking about was like 15 feet high and narrow-ish. It was kinda dangerous, I suppose...but that made it fun. >.>; :lol:

When I was little, little...I thought I was invincible. I would do daredevil-ish things and not think much of it.
For example, somewhere around here, there is an undeveloped picture of me at age 6 or 7 with snakes of varying sizes wrapped all over my body. Hands, arms, ankles, legs, neck...everywhere.
And not all of them were little. I'm pretty sure the one around my ankles and legs was a fairly large python, if I remember correctly. :lol:
At least, I really freaking HOPE that roll of film is still floating around. xD
I have to get that developed some day. No one I know now IRL believes I ever did that. :roll:
