My name is Guitar Hero, and I plan to run a little event. Therefore, it's a USER RUN EVENT, meaning no items will be made especially for the event by Menewsha itself.

Staff members who would want to be auctioned off must send me a message telling me so. In said message, you must provide a service or a list of services that you will do for your winner.
You could draw the winners picture, follow them around the site like a puppy dog, or even write a little poem for them!

But whatever it is must fall into the ToS. No naughty stuff now! :wink: It's completely up to you and your imagination, staff member, to choose what you'd like to do. I'll post here stating what you plan to do, so we can get the bidders to plan ahead!

Remember, not all staff members will be participating! Only the ones who volunteer.

All proceeds will go to charity.

Rebekah - I don't think there would be any gold in this. Just contests such as trivia, guessing games, where correct answers would get you points and you use the points in the auctions.

I think any gold raised from this should be used on prizes for the staff.

Nope! No gold REALLY involved... but I suppose if we use actual gold for the auction, we can give it to Juru to divide among the staff equally. :3 Or I could get off my lazy butt and do it myself. xD

Jayms - there will be contests, such as guessing games, trivia, etc. Every time you get a question right, (and these will be easy questions) the points will be used as currency to buy staff members in the auctions.

I personally like the idea. More users will be likely to participate in the auction if gold isn't necessary. And isn't that what we'd like?

So let me get this straight guys. P:

I host all other events first, and give first, second, and third place winners this "currency". With this "currency", we can play the auction. Most "currency" wins!

No, it's just like someone hosts a trivia thread. That person will be like

"This question is worth 3 points. Who blah blah blah?" and the first person that answers gets that 3 points, and the host will mark down how many points each person has, and their total, say they get 4 points in one thread, and 9 points in another, which totals to 13 points, and they can use that 13 points in that auction.

Well I think since an auction can be really confusing for a lot of people... like right now I'm confused as to who would be doing what... o.o and the staff have to be busy keeping mene safe too... so they might not always be readily available...

That's why I'll let the staff that accept my offer to join the auction pick what spot and time they'll be needed. Then, they can discuss among themselves who would be watching Menewsha for them while they do their Intro post. :3

I've read through and think it's a wonderful idea...but how would you keep up with the points? I can see alot of problems arising from "Hey!!! How did (name) get that many points?"
Somesuch complaints like that....and it may be a bit too confusing, driving away some members.

Okay guys, lemme dispose of that first poll, and add a new one. We'll let the users decide. I think that'll be more fair.
