Laughing again, another snort squeezed itself out. But was soon cut short.
"You know Reno, I might just shock you one day, and go after Rude. I swear. One day you're going to push me too far, and the BAM!!-" Suddenly smacking her hands together, Danae looked hilarious.
"I'll be sleeping in Rude's bed!"

She was only kidding of course. A whole lot would have to go wrong before she ended up with Rude.

((XDD You want me to wake my dad up and have him come in here yelling about me getting off the computer NOW? XDD but yesh, I have laughed and laughed as loud as I dared, as well as best I could not to pull a Danae and snort like I have a tendency to do. XDD))

Reno let out a gasp and tettered this way...then tottered that way, wheeling around on one foot before grabbing his heart and toppeling over onto Danae's shoulders.
"I do believe..." He said next to her cheek.
"That you have cut me to the quick dear heart! should I pack up and let you two have the room to yourselves tonight?" He feinged hurt, but there was no mistaking that horrible, impish grin on his face. He paused a moment and then wrapped his arms around Danae's shoulders. Making a childish face he blinked innocently.
"Carry me?" He asked in his best ten year old voice.

Danae practically died under the weight. "No!" She said, starting to walk off with Reno. "Now I can get Rude to do it for me.."
Giggling, she snorted, again..
"And I'm sure he'd have no problem with helping you to the Life Stream." Again, kidding in the cruel sense.
"THEN, we could have the room to ourselves."

Reno trudged right along behind her, their orginial goal now forgotten.
"OW! What happened to missing me if/when I die! Now you want to help me into an early grave, not very sporting of you, not giving a man a chance to save his own hide like that."

Still walking with Reno, Danae sort of shrugged. "Oh, I'm sure Rude could make up for it."
Dirt dirty girl! That was for sure.. Maybe not so dirty as much as she was using crude humor.
She was so happy around Reno though.. Anyone could see that.

He fell silent a moment or two, stopping them both in the middle of the hall, thinking.
"No..." He said at last.
"I don't think so...I can think of at least three things that he'd never come up with on his own.." He grinned.
"Not in a million years." He sighed.
"Besides, I doubt he knows the first thing about that."

Smiling, Danae turned around, and acted clueless.
"About what..?" She asked, trying to act all cute and sweet. Like she didn't even know what he was talking about.
"And you think you do?"
Smiling even wider, she held on to Reno's messy "work" shirt. Though, she couldn't tell if this was his leisure outfit, or work outfit..

He smiled...well, no, grinned was more like it, there was teeth showing.
"I'd like to think I know something about it." He smirked and looked up into a corner trying not to meet Danae's eyes..if he did, he was sure he'd bust out laughing.

Biting her lip, Danae could tell Reno was trying his best not to look at her. And there was Danae's flaw.
She couldn't help but to laugh at Reno, who was staring at nothing, grinning like the idiot he was.
"You'll have to show me one day," she said simply. And she was serious; dirty. "But before you die, mm-kay? You have to promise."

He turned to her, no longer on the razor's edge of laughing, he nodded and raised his right hand, placing it over his heart.
"Boy scout's honor, I will show you before I die."

Smiling, Danae leaned up, and popped a small kiss on Reno's neck, and then grabbed his arm.
"Food now, honor later," she said, pulling him with her slightly. Hey, she was starving by now!

"Food?" In relply, Reno's stomach let out a particuarly loud growl and his could feel the reverberation down into his knees.
"Oh...yeah...that's what we were doing. I wondered why it felt like I'd forgotten something." He grinned sheepishly and let himself be dragged along behind Danae.
"Food....sounds really good right about now."

Smiling, Danae allowed Reno to catch up, and then took his hand, rather than is arm.
"Well yes, that was our original plan. And now, all of the food could be gone."
Bumping into Reno a lot as they walked, she began to hum. Her voice echoed off of everything.. It sounded amazing, surprisingly..
It was a big shock to her.

"Oh I doubt it, Rude's not here to scarf it all down like he usually does."

He fell silent after a moment and let his eyes drift to halfmast.
"Mmm..." He muttered.
"That's pretty."

Stopping immediately, Danae looked down.
"Thanks," she mumbled. Even if Reno was her.. whatever he was, he still made her blush like nothing else! It was funny, but oh well.
"I just hope he's okay.." She said quietly.
If Rude were to just up and die, she have to kill Reno, and then find Rude, and kill him too.

((*ish slapped* What was that for? XDD I thought a huge bar of chcolate shaped like you would be funneh XDDD....*ish still laughing*))

He smiled with a nod.
"Don't worry about it." He sighed.
"I'm sure after a while, he's going to come marching through the garage door and wonder why no one's out there to greet him like the returning hero. That is to say: 'He's fine, I'm sure of it."

Smiling, Danae watched her feet now as she walked.
He would probably be okay.. Yeah, he would be.
"But what's going to happen if they get a hold of him.." Them, they.. The little evil spurts of Sephiroth's existence. They were only remnants.
"Do you think he'll be okay..?"

Reno thought a moment and shrugged.
"Depends...." He looked ahead of him thinking and running different scenarios through his mind.
"If they want to play a little more, then yeah, he'll be fine, no more beat up than I was, but......."
Here he paused.
"If they're getting tired of waiting on a chance to grab you...then...." His voice fell in volume and he shook his head unable to finish.
"Gah..I just wish there was an easier way to deal with them than fighting them head on.."

(sorry! DX I had no idea you 'plied.)

"Well," she began in a quiet voice. "There's the obvious solution.."
Looking down, she smiled weakly, and looked back up to Reno.
"Me."
She was fully prepared to just up and die now. It seemed like dying wasn't that far away anyway.. So why not just get it over with, right?

"NO!" Reno turned there in the middle of the hall and planted his hands on his hips and his feet firmly on the floor.
"Danae I will not allow any form of self-sacrifice! I did not get beat all to hell just to let you go to them like that...." He pulled back and thought about that for a moment and then shrugged.
"Even though going back for them was MY idea to begin with.....but that's not the point! I'm not about to let you die after pouring my weasly black heart out in front of you like that."

Smiling, Danae wrapped her arms around Reno's waist.
"I just feel like such a burden.. And if Rude dies, then I'm going to find them myself."
She would do that for sure.
There would be nothing to stop her, not even Reno. She didn't have to be romantically involved with Rude to care. He was a friend.. Frienemy?
That seemed to sum it up.

((I'm serious! A lot of his stuff is like mine, anime and manga related, but it's funny some of the stuff he comes up with. XDD))

"You're not, trust me." Reno said flopping his arms about her shoulders.
"If Rude dies, then you're not getting out of my sight missy." He had his head on hers, but the conviction in his voice said it all.

Smiling, Danae formulated a plan. And it as mean.
"I guess you'll have to tie me up, and keep my busy then.. Because I have plans of my own if he dies."
Grinning now, she rested into Reno's chest.
"Like I said, tie me up."

"Hehhhhh.....Food." He headed into the kitchen area and rummaged about for a moment.
