Reno paused in the hallway, his head cocked.
"What'd I say?" He asked quietly....he hadn't meant to make her mad again...
"Danae.....are you...okay?"

Stopping in her tracks, Danae sighed, closed her eyes, and looked down. "I'm just upset.."
She wanted to literally tear those men limb from limb. They would deserve every bit of it too.
"They were so.."
They could have killed Reno..

Oh....so that was it. Reno stepped up behind her, and lay his head on hers, holding her bags under his arms.
"Hey..." He started.
"Heeeeeeeeyyyy......did you see Teseng's face when you tackled him? I thought he was going to die of a heart attack." Well, it might still make her mad...but better it be about Teseng than anything else.

Danae shook her head, and then rolled her eyes. "Reno.." She said softly.
"That's not helping.."
Putting her things down, Danae turned to Reno, a sad look in her eyes.
"Reno, I worry about what they might do to you.."
Reaching up, Danae's hand trailed down Reno's cheek, neck, and then rested on his shoulder.
"I don't want to lose you.."

He sighed.
"Figures.." He cocked his head, and 'humphed'
He looked at Danae, and set his face.
"Look, we haven't seen them for..how long? They aren't making any attempts on our lives..." Yet.
"And even then, I'm not going to die, within reason of course, and leave you alone with only Rude, Teseng and Elena to take care of you....you'd go nuts within a month!"

"I'd go nuts the first second.."
A tear slid gently down her face. What if Reno died. A statement, more than an actual question. Because she knew that deep, deep down, there was a good chance Reno would end up dying young.
It was a huge chance.
But he couldn't! Danae would just.. What would there be left for her after that?

"Heyheyheyhey!" He said at the first sign of those dreaded tears. He dropped her bags and wrapped Danae in his arms.
"What's with the crying all of a sudden? Huh? I was trying to cheer you up!" He looked down at her confused.
"You make me think I suck at my job when you do this."

Danae sniffed, and wrapped her arms around Reno's waist.
"I'm sorry," she said softly, closing her eyes. But you know how she was..
Once presented with the threat of having Reno ripped away from her, all of this didn't look all so sweet, and perfect.
"I love you. You know that... But, Reno.. No matter what happens, even if I get cranky, and we get into fights, just know that I love you.."
All she needed, was to get in a fight with Reno, and then, discover he died for her.

He nodded.
"Alright, no matter how badly I think you look in the morning, with your hair all a mess, and that green pastey mess that you girls think makes you look pretty, I'll remember that you love me." Oh yeah....he was going to get shot.

Shaking her head, Danae rolled her eyes, and only more tears fell.
"Thanks, Reno.." She said pulling away.
God. He just didn't know when to stop exactly, did he...?

Picking up her things, Danae wiped her eyes with her arm, and then began walking again quietly.

Reno blinked...and then picked up the bags, hurrying after her.
"What'd I do this time? Danae?.....Danae! Come on!! What'd I do!?"

(Haha, haiii!)

She shook her head. And for once, something negative came from her lips, about Reno.
"You're such an asshole, you know that!?" She screamed at him. "God!"
She was just so... ughhh!

He stopped and sighed...oh......THAT was what was wrong....he'd screwed up....again....oh well, nothing left but to give her some space.
"Alright.....I'll shut up.." He sighed a little though....not talking was like.......not breathing for Reno. He'd just have to put up with it though.....at least while Danae was mad. He smiled however behind her as they walked along. Somehow...he could never stop smiling. Just his nature he guessed.

Finally coming across her favorite cubicle, Danae sighed, and practically kicked the door open. From there, she plopped down on Reno's bed, and let out a growl. Reno had a way of getting under her skin.

((*glomps*))

He smiled on his way in and left her bags at the door, turning with a wave.
"I need to go talk to Rude about the car. If you need anything, just yell." Liar..He was just giving her space...but didn't want to seem overly put out by her anger. So he smiled one last time and left, whistling as he went down the hall, his hands in his pockets...eh, give her a few hours and she'll calm down...what? It worked before...right?

(Tee hee.)

Danae only shook her head. She knew he was running away.. She knew men, she knew Reno, and the way he acted when she cried. But hell, she didn't care. Space was good, nice.. And she did need some.

Reno stopped at the garage door and smiled, forget talking to Rude, he needed to find something to do with his hands. He stripped off his jacket and hung it on a chair just inside the door, he then rolled up his sleeves and took a nice long look over the motorcycles that lined the opposite wall....he smiled with a small laugh, and caught a wrench up in a hand nodding.
This ought to take him a few hours.

Danae sort of sighed, and then rolled onto her back. She hated fighting with Reno like this.. But hey, he ALWAYS started it! He was so goofy at times..
She just couldn't always enjoy it..
Sitting up suddenly, she sighed. Why was she always the problem...?
Huh?

"AHHH!!!" Reno shot out from under his first victim as it spurted oil all over his face, lucky for him, he'd found a nice dirty pair of work clothes to change into before he started the poor cycle's overhaul. He spit most of it out of his mouth, rubbing his face and tounge with a cloth that he'd tucked into his back pocket just for such an occasion...he sighed and looked up into the skylight roof, thinking back on just what he'd said to make Danae mad....maybe he should cut back on the jokes....just a little.

(Time to shake it up.)

Feeling a little bit of a bump under her bottom, Danae blinked and then climbed off of the bed. She pressed her hands down on the part of the mattress where he butt had been, and then there, low and behold, was a bump. Or a lump more like it..

Getting down onto her knees, Danae pulled the sheets from the side of the bed, so she could see under the bed. Her eyes grew wide, and she dropped the sheets, letting out a very, very shrill scream. She was freaking out, crying and screaming, and running from the room in terror. Her screams never stopped as she ran for Tseng's office.

Reno stood outside the garage taking a breather, most, if not all of the motorcycle laying scattered on the floor. He closed his eyes for a moment, and thought he heard something...a scream? No...just then he saw Danae dart across the breezeway and he took off like a shot after her, he wanted to know what was wrong...screw giving her space, he wanted to know NOW.
Teseng was sitting in his chair looking over files, when he looked at his door....someone was coming....and that someone was screaming. He dipped a hand under his desk and grasped his pistol firmly, waiting for the door.

Danae didn't even notice Reno running after her. She was too busy crying and screaming, and running. And seconds later, she burst through Tseng's door. She screamed more, and cried, and flailed around, as if trying to get something off of her skin.

Tseng nearly jumped out of his skin to find Danae the scource of the commotion, but then again why was he surprised. He stood and made his way, though hurriedly, around his desk, leaving the gun where it was.
He held her shoulders down while trying to hold her face still long enough to ask what the matter was, he was oh so glad when Reno came heaving through his door as well.
"Here!" He said,
"Hold her down for a moment." Reno took his spot and Teseng moved around to Danae's side holding his hand gently over her mouth.
"What are you doing?!" Reno cried.
"She's hyperventilating, with all that screaming she's done, I'm surprised she hasn't collapsed, give her a moment and she;ll calm down."

Danae wiggled, and screamed, and flailed around. "Let me go!" She muffled through Tsengs hand. And then finally, she just flat out hit him in the face, and collapsed to the floor in tears.
Whatever had happened, was bad..
"Don't touch me!" She screamed suddenly.
She eve sunk down more, and cried.

She was hysterical, AND hyperventilating.

Teseng's eyes widened...only for a moment, and then he found himself sprawled on the floor, flat on his back, wondering how he got there.
"Woah..." Reno let go hastily, and stepped back. He moved to Teseng, and he saw his bossman wipe a little blood off his mouth.
"That's it..." He stood and moved over by Danae, jerking her up to her feet and then laid his hand hard across her cheek.
"Calm down!" He yelled, trying to take control of the situation.
"We can't help if you don't tell us what happend!"
